I am still very much a fan of this place, even if it does take me about an hour to get there from my house. Unique rotating flavors like their crab dip and cinnamon cheesecake I really make them stand out. And as I believe I've said before, they are so light and fluffy! I have gotten their vegan donuts for my sister and her fam, and they enjoyed them a lot! It's so awesome that they have five vegan flavors: coconut, mixed berry, lemon, cinnamon sugar, and cookies & creme. Previously I was just enjoying their donuts, but I finally got to try one of their acai bowls and I was such a fan! I don't drink coffee, but my parents enjoy what they offer. The music is cozy, the entire space is cozy, and when the weather is nice, sitting outside is such a pleasure. My time there tends to be a combination of quiet and chill versus a line almost out the door. I hope they continue to do well, being the only location left in the area. Now I would be overjoyed if they came to PG county, but I find it unlikely :) read more

I drove almost an hour to try this place. I wasn't greeted when I walked in. It was nicely decorated tho. They were out of most of the things that I wanted. So I opted for the lemon curd malasada. It was $4.50 for one. when I got in the car I realized she didn't put a napkin or anything in there. When I bit into it, the lemon curd dropped from the bottom onto my dress. It was ok. I don't see the difference between this and a regular donut. I don't think it's worth driving out of the way for to be honest. But to each her own. read more

I have been wanting to try this spot for years but never made it over until last week. I'm sooo glad I finally was able to go. I walked in and ordered 6 doughnuts: Cookie butter, Vanilla Bean, Oreo, Ube, Crab Dip and Everything with Chives. ALL of them were delish! I never had Ube so I didn't know what to expect but it was ok. It's not going to be my 1st choice but it wasn't bad. I also order an iced cookie butter latte with almond milk and asked for it to be sweeter than normal but not too sweet, she made it perfectly. I put my stuff down and sat in the cute littler lounge area. I took my laptop out and tried EVERY doughnut then continued to work for about 2 hours. It was awesome! I will definitely be back. read more

Not what is used to be and does not give loyal customers a good percentage off like they used to which seems weird Management needs to do better with how they run this place because it has definitely changed. Also, need to change the variety of donuts. You get tired of having the same menu of donuts all the time. I will not be making this a regular spot for myself anymore! read more

B. Doughnut is delicious. I'm very glad we stopped. The staff is friendly and it's very cute inside. I love that they have malasadas, which I usually cannot find unless I am home. I did not try them this time, but will next time. Staff is friendly. I loved my doughnut and my party enjoyed their orders as well. The iced latte was also very good. It's cute inside and they have nice seating. I'm looking forward to returning. read more

More like 3 and 1/2 Stars I didn't purchase these these were provided for me at the job site. I liked the ube donut very creamy but it's not the style of donut that I enjoy. I prefer more cake based as opposed to filling style. The exception would be jelly filled but these cream filled ones just don't do it for me Overall I like the unique flavors that they have but it's not something that I see myself going out of my way to try again. I prefer donut connection. read more

Stopped in for kevins birthday. We didnt have a line so we walked right up and started asking questions about their donut displayed on the countertop. We asked about the prices on the donuts and were a little concerned, but honestly figured they must be boutique. We decided on a half dozen donuts... regardless of the type of donut you got the price was the same. By noon, there were about 15 different donuts left that they had stock of. 4 vegan ones. The donuts are about the size of a baseball in circumference. Nowadays, social media is all about size and color, this place is extremely lacking in the size department. The best donut we tried from here was a vegan coconut one, and the bake on it was a slightly different texture than the other donuts. Honestly, the only reason this place got a second star is cuz of the coconut one. Texture was actually correct and not doughy. The other 5 donuts were as follows in order of taste and textures and actual baking: cinnamon n sugar, then everything with bacon, then Homer, then pandan, then Boston cream. I should have just made donuts at home with this place being as expensive as it was. The Boston cream custard was runny af, so either add a starch slurry or slow heat and actually make it simmer to make the custard cook correctly. Like you all know this, but you CANNOT charge 4.25$ per "specialty" donut and have very bad technique. The texture of all the donuts were somewhere between a light cake-like donut and a ball of raw dough. The Vietnamese coffee was meh. We will not be back. Next time, I will just go to Safeway and buy a half dozen of day old donuts that are randomly placed in a box and slightly better baked than this place and be reminded when I only pay 5$ for the box that I won't be as disappointed as I was on kevins birthday by stopping here. No pictures, I dont like having terrible memories on my phone. Waste of 31$ for a pick your own 6 pack and an iced pint of Vietnamese coffee. Jake n kev read more

Best coffee/malasada stop in Southern Maryland. In this area, there are only a couple of spots I'll go out of my way for when it comes to coffee and pastries and B. Doughnut in La Plata is at the top of that list. The service is always wonderful, and the staff is friendly and welcoming every single time I visit. But let's talk about the real star: the malasadas. These fluffy, flavorful treats blow traditional doughnuts out of the water. I highly recommend the ube malasada it's my personal favorite, and I keep going back for it. It's so good that when I host brunches or have guests visiting, I make a point to pick up malasadas from here. They're always a hit. ALWAYS. If you're anywhere near La Plata, this is a must-visit spot for incredible malasadas, great coffee, and genuinely kind service. It never disappoints. read more

B. Doughnuts is amazing! Customer service is on the 1000, and my cinnamon toast crunch latte was heaven sent. The vanilla bean doughnut was to die for. I really enjoy the multiple options of doughnuts. Check this spot out for yourself. #EatGoodAndBeHappy read more

Finally tried this place after a friend has been telling me how good they are. Tried a vegan one from her, I think it was berry, I loved the texture and that they weren't dry. Went the next day and ordered a dozen, 11 sweet and 1 savory. The bacon one was good but much saltier than I expected. Good amount of filling inside it though. Thought I'd really like the coffee cream one but I wasn't a fan, but again great amount of filling. They def don't skimp on it. I also tried the cookie butter one which I really liked. I would return again but def can't go too often, it can get pricey. Also tried: Thai tea, courtesy of my friend, nice and sweet! Spanish latte, iced, really enjoyed. My kids tried a mango sunshine boba, which was written on a board to the side, they both enjoyed it, although my son said it was too much ice and not enough drink. read more

Very cute space! Friendly staff that welcomed us as soon as we entered the door. I love that they have vegan options, which is literally what I came for. I tried the vegan maple doughnut. It actually was a little sweet for me. But the dough was great. The doughnut was dense and soft. I also tried the chai latte with oat milk and it hit the spot. I would come here again! My only issue is that I wish they also offered a few gluten free options. Let me also add that I loved they have a few toys for kids. This kept my child occupied as I stuffed my face lol. read more

The donuts here are different but still pretty good. This Asian inspired donut shop has very unique donuts that are uniquely shaped and most are stuffed with cream. I asked what was popular and was told the Pandan and the Ube. I tried the Pandan and it was solid but not special. I'll try the Ube next time. I also tried a glazed donut. It seems more like an iced donut because it has icing on it rather than just glazed sugar, but it was still tasty - I preferred it to the Pandan. I also tried a hot mocha latte and it was very good as well. The staff were pleasant if not overly exuberant. All in all it was a good experience and a clean quaint shop...I'll be back! read more

Treat-Yo-Self and B. Doughnuts is just the way to do it, if you're in southern MD! Super "scrumpdiddilyumptious" and always surprising with unique seasonal flavors. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I truly appreciate that they have vegan options on the menu - very thoughtful!! The cafe is a chill area filled with music, seating, and merch:). The prices can be a bit steep, I wish they had regular teas on the menu - but totally worth the calorie plunge!! You truly get what you pay for with all the yummy sugary goodness AND...did I forget to mention... THE DOUGHNUTS ARE WONDERFUL! #enjoygoodpeople read more

Love their doughnuts! And the people who work there are always so friendly! My favorite flavor is the lemon!

This doughnut shop survived the pandemic for good reason, they're simply the best doughnuts in SOMD. And for that, a second review is warranted. Listen, if you live in SOMD and haven't tried B. Doughnuts, go look in the mirror and ask yourself "what am I doing with my life?" Seriously, just treat yourself and say Grant sent you. This spot is chill AF, the coffee is good and of course the doughnuts are delicious. Service is laid back, and I can see this place becoming our version of the Peach Pit. (Please comment if you caught that reference) I have updated my rating from 4 stars to ....... 5 stars, because they are great in all key aspects. My recommendation: Run don't walk! Please enjoy the newly added photos. read more

I had a coffee and an açaí bowl. A bit pricey, but it's cute inside and everyone was very friendly.

Was waiting in line for over 10 minutes no one came to offer help. The place is under staffed.

My job sent me on an adventure today lol so I Yelped "Coffee Shops" & this place popped up...I decided to give it a try... Upon entry the store front is clean...wasn't too busy...I greeting right away as I entered and the young man asked if this was my first time at the coffee shop. And indeed it was. I was like a kid in a candy shop lol trying to decide what I wanted...I decided on a cinnamon sugar, jelly filled, Boston cream, White chocolate Raspberry, and a chocolate with a chocolate covered strawberry...and a cup of black coffee. I enjoyed the coffee paired with the Jelly Filled doughnut but I decided to share the others. I personally like my doughnuts lite and fluffy lol not too "cake-y"/thick... So I won't be making my way back this way! But my coworkers did say they enjoyed the tasty treats. Happy Yelping! read more

The doughnuts were amazing! Light, airy, not too sweet! And the customer service was top tier! Will definitely go back!

Love their beautiful freshly made special Hawaiian style stuffed malasada donuts with so many tasty flavors. . I think a box of 1/2 dozen or more makes a great hostess gift for visits or potluck party with friends and family. Each donut is decorated uniquely with fresh strawberry, Oreo cookie crumble, green pandan, purple Ube, chocolate, coffee, and Boston cream among with other old time flavors. Definitely a return for me. read more

These might be the best donuts I've ever had. They are just the right size (not huge), tender and soft, and I can tell the fillings are homemade. I love the crunch of the sugar on the outside. I've tried the ube, lemon filled, and Boston creme. They are wonderful! It's kind of surprising to find great malasadas in a small town. read more

This is my all time favorite doughnut shop! The manager is so nice and remembers regular customers names, greeting them as they walk in. They have a huge selection of different flavors, adding new ones regularly. If you want a treat that isn't overly sweet, this is the place for you. I personally stay away from the unfilled donuts bc they tend to be a bit more dry, the glazed ones although unfilled are better (key lime pie yum!) The filled donuts however, are quite tasty, especially the boston cream! The vegan donuts are quite pricey and according to the taste tester I got them for, who was vegan at the time, not worth the price. It's nice that they have the option though! Service is very friendly too. I'll be back when the mood for donut strikes! read more

Very nice doughnut store. Very clean, friendly and nice place. We were helped immediately when we walked into the store and had a good variety of donuts to pick. The donuts are not overly sweet. Some of the fillings were sweet. They do have a good choice for vegan donuts. I was just in the area and same on Yelp so I decided to stop and see what they were like. Great selection of donuts both sweet & savory and many with Asian inspired ingredients. I always love a good savory and cream cheese filled donut and these were great. Lots of cream in the cream filled (we tried Boston cream & coffee cream). The strawberry shortcake was good and would have been better filled with whipped cream! B. Doughnut has a location out in Leesburg, a pop-up in Ashburn, and another brick-and-mortar out in La Plata. They offer various sweet and savory donuts, in which flavors include: Berry Jam, Lemon Curd, Pandan, Ube, and even an Everything Bagel. I love that they don't skimp out on the fillings or the toppings - the doughnuts were STUFFED! While the sweet doughnuts were a little stale (I'm thinking you need to come early for those and get it hot and fresh), I was all about their Everything Bagel doughnut stuffed with chives! It was so delicious, and it was filled to the max with a wonderful chive cream cheese blend. There was also a generous amount of the everything seasoning! Don't let the fact that a doughnut shell is used, because it doesn't really take away from the savory-ness! Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the place was super bright, well-decorated, and clean. Would love to come back and try out their other rotating flavors! +Everything Bagel doughnut with Chives +go early for the sweet doughnuts +super friendly and welcoming staff! +doughnut loyalty card available! read more
