Cronut was PHENOMENAL. Would definitely go out of my way for them. Apple fritter was delicious as well, loved the outer crunch. The rest? No. From the special donuts side they said there was another slight upcharge for some of them... we did not realize the strawberry shortcake would be 7$... compared to a 3/4$ special donut. It was simply a jam and frosting cream like filling, ridiculous.

We had delivery and the donuts came in quick and fresh. Great service in packing. Mostly the cream filled and they are great. Definitely recommend.

My favorite items are the croughnuts, red velvet cake donut and blueberry cake donut. Coffee is decent as well!

I stopped by on a Saturday when it wasn't busy, and the person who took my order seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but helping customers. He looked annoyed when I asked for a moment to check which donut options they had before choosing. That would have been the perfect chance for him to offer some guidance, it would've helped me out and sped up the process for both of us. The donuts themselves were nothing to rave about. I guess I went in with high expectations after hearing others had great experiences. To me, their donuts were just a small step above what you'd find at a grocery store.

    Best donuts in the world

This place has the best donuts in all Virginia. Every donut is fresh, tasty, not overly sweet, and fluffy.

Texas Dontus has been around since '02, starting out in TX, then OK, and having several locations in the NoVA area - As their other locations, they offer basic and specialty donuts, character donuts, croissant sandwiches, kolaches, and coffee/bubble tea. We're fans of their glaze, as this yeast donut is big, fluffy, and just melts in your mouth - if you go at the right time, they'll still be nice and warm! Staff here are always friendly and nice; love that they had recently put up some alpaca figurines by the counter area - so cute! Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. +glazed yeast donuts +friendly service +plenty of parking

Delicious and very consistent. Light, pillow-y, sweet. I used to order 4 dozen assorted doughnuts for my church on Sundays and would be salivating for one during fellowship (after service). Ordering online is easy and efficient. They close online ordering at a certain time. They are also closed every Tuesday. Their croissant sandwiches and kolaches are exactly what you'd expect. Yummy!

I work at a gym and surprisingly we get gifted sweet treats all the time. I usually decline, not because I don't like sweets, but because I try to eat better...until I tasted a Crougnut from Texas Donuts! Can I just say that I enjoyed every bite. One of our wonderful members gifted the front desk with this yumminess and I had to tell anyone who would listen that these are the best donuts I have tasted in my 50 years on earth. Never been to the shop, but that will definitely change. I need for my family to witness these clouds of perfection in person.

Fresh donuts anyone? This donut shop is a small shop close to my house that I love. Their cronuts here are DELICIOUS! They are a must try if you have not been here. They are fluffy, light and humongous! They sold out really quick too! They have a parking lot so it's easy to find and easy to park. Plenty of parking! Staff are nice and friendly and work quick!

Couldn't leave the Nova part of DC without trying the big Texas donuts. Went early morning and they had all kinds of flavors including chocolate and strawberry glazed and with sprinkles for $3.99 . You can't go wrong with that especially the size it's definitely good option for those that want a sweet treat to share with and they also have regular size donuts with lots of different kinds flavors and specialty donuts.and the atmosphere is nice and vibrant with a lot of color pop as well mirrors with inspiration quotes when you walk in and all of there donuts are made fresh daily and the big Texas Donut is the one I tried out today and it's delicious I got the chocolate glazed and the service was great and fast definitely recommend this bakery for donuts and adding this to my list of hidden gems list .

Love me some Texas Donuts, it's really just the consistency of the donuts for me!!! There's something about it, and they're super fresh. Honestly the best donut spot in this area. The service is good and the inside is not huge, but there's some seating available. Overall, it's a little casual spot and I highly recommend trying it out if you're a donut lover. Prices aren't bad either!

Happened to be in the area so I grabbed donuts on a Sunday morning to share with friends. You'll have to excuse the photos as I accidentally squished the bag of donuts - totally my fault. Fortunately they still tasted great. Service was great, and will definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Regular Croughnut and a cinnamon sugar donut
    Alice B.

One word - CRONUT! The hybrid love affair between a croissant and a donut that gives you a massive, but pillowy donut. Everything is bigger in Texas and these cronuts do not disappoint. Honestly we still drive the 35 minute trek at least monthly and every time we have friends or family visiting. There's no one else that can beat them. Whether you like the original or the cinnamon sugar, you can't go wrong. They also sell normal donuts and character ones for the kids like Cookie Monster (has a donut hole on it) and donut dogs (come either with chocolate or strawberry dip and cute little eyes). Service is quick and prices are fair - this place is a total gem. Get there early or else you may find that your favorites are sold out. You can also order ahead if you call - but have your payment ready to go. Highly recommend!

The service was…read moregreat--I asked if they could split two full-size Thai tea boba drinks in half for my little ones, and they happily did it with no hesitation. Even with four cups, they still filled mine generously, which I really appreciated. The disappointment came once we started drinking. It honestly tasted like milk with unsweetened boba. I don't mind if the boba isn't sweet as long as the drink has enough flavor, but in this case, the milk flavor was overpowering, and the tea was barely noticeable. We also ordered a bean pastry, which was surprisingly delicious! It was sweet, and if you didn't know it was made with beans, you probably wouldn't even notice. Overall, I'd be open to going back. I'm not sure if the overly milky flavor was a fluke from splitting the drinks or if that's just their usual recipe. The café itself is cute with cozy vibes. It's right off a main road (Route 29). Parking is available on the side and in the back, and there's a decent amount of seating. Just note they close at 9 PM, so if you're looking for a late-night café spot, this may not be the best option.

I tried two smoothies -- the acai one was actually really good, but the green smoothie (I think it was called Island Green or something like that?) was rough. It literally tasted like someone blended up fresh-cut grass and ice. It was super unfortunate. Their menu does have a lot of variety, which I appreciated, but overall it feels a little overpriced for the quality. The service was decent though -- the staff gave a good recommendation and were kind. The best part was definitely the ambiance. The place had cute Halloween decorations and even a little Minion sitting out, which made the space feel fun and welcoming. Overall, I'd give it a solid three stars -- not bad, but not sure I'd rush back unless they tweak those smoothies.

Service | Chicken & Waffles | Raspberry Latte…read more Service - The service was the weak point of the experience. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with, but overall the service was slow and inattentive. I'm not sure if he was covering multiple sections, but we visited on a Friday morning when the restaurant appeared to be about 65-75% full, so it didn't seem overwhelmed. Chicken & Waffles - Overall, a tasty dish. The chicken was flavorful, and the waffle was well prepared. My main critique is the ratio. There was significantly more waffle than chicken--roughly a 5:8 ratio. Personally, I prefer a 1:1 chicken-to-waffle ratio so that every bite has the perfect balance. Good meal, but the portion balance could be improved. Raspberry Latte - The highlight of the visit. The raspberry flavor complemented the coffee perfectly without being overpowering. It was smooth, well-balanced, and something I would absolutely order again. Why Not Five Stars? - The slow service. We noticed several tables in our section experiencing the same issue. One outdoor table waited a long time for drinks and didn't receive their food until we were halfway through our meal, despite arriving before us. Pro Tip: There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy. After your meal, take some time to walk around the town. It's charming, pedestrian-friendly, and worth exploring.

Whether you are looking for a savory crepe with coffee or avocado toast with a mimosa bucket, you can get it all here. I could probably dine here every morning for a year and get something different every time! There's plenty of seating inside and outside the restaurant, and dogs are welcome for outdoor seating. There was plenty of indoor seating plus a few outdoor tables, so it never felt cramped.
