I was blown away; quite possibly the best donuts I've ever had! The plain cake donut was good, but I can't stop thinking about the glazed donut. It was unbelievably soft, airy and pillowy - not dry at all and basically melted in my mouth! The glaze was fantastic, as well. I also tried the jalapeno cheddar kolache and it was amazing (I toasted it at home). The flavorful sausage had bits of jalapeno and cheese throughout, and the dough was super fluffy! I will note that the store itself is small and it was a bit hectic ordering (no orderly lines were formed), but the service was quick! I'm obsessed with their delicious donuts and kolaches - highly recommend! read more

This location is tucked away in a small shopping plaza off of Route 29 in Centreville. There's ample parking which I always appreciate! The staff is always friendly and greets me as soon as I walk in. They're helpful in helping me determine what my options are and don't rush me when looking over the display case. The donuts have always been fresh. I recently tried one of their "cronuts" and thought it was really tasty! It was huge and flaky like a perfect croissant/donut mashup could be. I like that they fill donuts fresh in the store when you order, too. I wish the company would improve their iced coffee options. It seemed a bit average and simple for a store with great branding. That's not a mark against this specific store tho. I've visited this store a couple of times and would highly recommend them over any other chain donut location in the area. read more

Cronut was PHENOMENAL. Would definitely go out of my way for them. Apple fritter was delicious as well, loved the outer crunch. The rest? No. From the special donuts side they said there was another slight upcharge for some of them... we did not realize the strawberry shortcake would be 7$... compared to a 3/4$ special donut. It was simply a jam and frosting cream like filling, ridiculous. read more

Always a treat to stop by and get these yummy round sweets! Today I bought a couple dozen for our local hospital staff, , hint: my relative works at the hospital. They offer online preorder. The online portal is open during their operating hours. I placed an online order 2 hours before pickup. Upon arrival there was a huge line BUT preorder pickups was easy! I was in/out in less than 2 minutes. Best of all, the donuts are super fresh and we enjoyed those goodies during our morning errands. The hospital staff also loved them! read more

I stopped by on a Saturday when it wasn't busy, and the person who took my order seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but helping customers. He looked annoyed when I asked for a moment to check which donut options they had before choosing. That would have been the perfect chance for him to offer some guidance, it would've helped me out and sped up the process for both of us. The donuts themselves were nothing to rave about. I guess I went in with high expectations after hearing others had great experiences. To me, their donuts were just a small step above what you'd find at a grocery store. read more

So good! If you like Krispy Kreme--that doughy style of donut rather than the cakey ones--this is the place! I loved that this place is called "Texas Donuts" because I'm from Texas. Usually, places that use "Texas" in their name have big shoes to fill, but this place does not disappoint! *Kolache: They have kolaches, but they all contain cheese. I wish they had an option without it--hence the 4 stars. *Cronut: I love their cronuts (croissant-donuts); they are sweet, sugary, and pillowy! *Barvarian Filled: I also enjoyed their Bavarian custard-filled plain donut. This is my go-to donut place now; I refuse to go anywhere else! Their service is fast and quick for a small donut shop. read more

Texas Dontus has been around since '02, starting out in TX, then OK, and having several locations in the NoVA area - As their other locations, they offer basic and specialty donuts, character donuts, croissant sandwiches, kolaches, and coffee/bubble tea. We're fans of their glaze, as this yeast donut is big, fluffy, and just melts in your mouth - if you go at the right time, they'll still be nice and warm! Staff here are always friendly and nice; love that they had recently put up some alpaca figurines by the counter area - so cute! Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. +glazed yeast donuts +friendly service +plenty of parking read more

Delicious and very consistent. Light, pillow-y, sweet. I used to order 4 dozen assorted doughnuts for my church on Sundays and would be salivating for one during fellowship (after service). Ordering online is easy and efficient. They close online ordering at a certain time. They are also closed every Tuesday. Their croissant sandwiches and kolaches are exactly what you'd expect. I work at a gym and surprisingly we get gifted sweet treats all the time. I usually decline, not because I don't like sweets, but because I try to eat better...until I tasted a Crougnut from Texas Donuts! Can I just say that I enjoyed every bite. One of our wonderful members gifted the front desk with this yumminess and I had to tell anyone who would listen that these are the best donuts I have tasted in my 50 years on earth. Never been to the shop, but that will definitely change. I need for my family to witness these clouds of perfection in person. read more

My fav place for croissant sandwiches! The croissants are so soft and buttery and I think they do a honey glaze or something on top? They're also pretty big and filling Service used to be really quick but now I'd suggest ordering ahead online P.S. the jalapeno sausages are also really good the bun is I'd suggest adding spicy mayo if you have it read more

Love me some Texas Donuts, it's really just the consistency of the donuts for me!!! There's something about it, and they're super fresh. Honestly the best donut spot in this area. The service is good and the inside is not huge, but there's some seating available. Overall, it's a little casual spot and I highly recommend trying it out if you're a donut lover. Prices aren't bad either! read more

Happened to be in the area so I grabbed donuts on a Sunday morning to share with friends. You'll have to excuse the photos as I accidentally squished the bag of donuts - totally my fault. Fortunately they still tasted great. Service was great, and will definitely return when I'm in the area again. read more

One word - CRONUT! The hybrid love affair between a croissant and a donut that gives you a massive, but pillowy donut. Everything is bigger in Texas and these cronuts do not disappoint. Honestly we still drive the 35 minute trek at least monthly and every time we have friends or family visiting. There's no one else that can beat them. Whether you like the original or the cinnamon sugar, you can't go wrong. They also sell normal donuts and character ones for the kids like Cookie Monster (has a donut hole on it) and donut dogs (come either with chocolate or strawberry dip and cute little eyes). Service is quick and prices are fair - this place is a total gem. Get there early or else you may find that your favorites are sold out. You can also order ahead if you call - but have your payment ready to go. Highly recommend! read more

Just can't go wrong here if you love donuts especially yeast style. They have donut twists and also cake donuts too and crullers and cronuts. They also have Kolaches. Still tasted decent the next day. They have a fridge for some juices and chocolate milk too. They are pretty quick and patient. Can get quite busy on weekends but line moves. Pretty simple interior with no seating for weekends, otherwise there is counter style seating. Our favorite donut place close to Fairfax, although further than we can go often. read more

I have been to the Lorton location before, and I thought the donuts were of similar quality, but I enjoyed them this time a bit more as a whole. I tried a similar selection of flavors (buttermilk cake donut, glazed cronut, apple fritter, Bavarian cream filled donut, blueberry cake donut, and maple bacon donut), with the addition of the cinnamon sugar cronut. The buttermilk cake donut was my favorite this time because it has great flavor. It is super soft, and it almost melts in your mouth. I thought the glazed cronut was better here than the other location. I still felt like it could have been a tad flakier though, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. I did not like the cinnamon sugar cronut as much as the glazed one, and would opt to not get it again. The apple fritter was not as good as the one I got from the other location, and it was slightly dry, but it was still pretty good. I liked the Bavarian cream donut, but the blueberry cake donut was disappointing. I probably wouldn't ever get that donut again. The maple bacon donut had a nice texture and was solid. I liked this location slightly more than the other one in Lorton. While the service was great from both and they had basically the same selection of donuts, this location feels bigger and maybe slightly cleaner than the other location, and I enjoyed the donuts more this time around. While I do feel like some of the donuts were a miss, I enjoy the ones I like enough that I would definitely come back again! read more

Love the cronuts and blueberry donuts. We liked it so much we came back a second time during our stay in the area.

At 5am, they are always there! You cannot deny how good the cronuts are! I'm a simple donut lover. Sugar is my choice. Nothing too crazy. But the designs they have for my kids "Cookie Monster" or the cereal fruity pebble options are great! Despite opening early, staff is always smiling and welcoming. It's not meant for sitting and hanging out but service is fast so you can jump in, grab and go. read more

Always so good! Fresh and delicious. Usually good service, depends on the day. Typical donut shop vibe, nothing fancy.

Best donuts in the area by FAR or just in general!! Great staff and absolutely delicious

Our kids look forward to going to Texas Donuts in the morning on the weekends and picking which donuts they want for breakfast. Maybe the doggy one or Cookie Monster or the munchkins or the donuts where you can custom fill with Bavarian cream or jelly now. I personally love their apple fritter and munchkins. My husband loves their kolaches. It's nice to have a savory option amongst all those sweets. Service is always friendly and efficient. It's a small local business that's serving good donuts and worth a visit if you leave in or near Centreville, VA. read more

Fresh made croissants... daily... what more do you need to know!? I recommend one of the Sandwhiches and you can customize them too! So buttery and warm, made with love! Great prices, super friendly and caring staff, speedy service! The only downside is they are closed on Tuesdays and close each day by around 3pm so put your orders in earlier rather than later! We are on vacation for our birthday. I can't start my day without my coffee. I was looking for something other than a popular chain store, (dunkin, Starbucks etc) and I found Texas donuts! The atmosphere was great, quiet and clean. The young lady that took our order was helpful and pleasant. The smile she greeted us with made our day! The donuts are delicious, fresh and filling. But, I still needed my coffee!! She offered a drink called The Korean Iced Coffee. That was AMAZING! Creamy and sweet! This place felt quiet and steady during my visit. The environment was kept in good shape, and the overall mood stayed relaxed. TL;DR: My absolute FAVORITE donut place. They close early (3PM) and sell out of certain things fast! I love Texas Donuts, and this location is by far my favorite. The staff is always fast, attentive, and friendly! This place has a variation of cake, yeast, and specialty donuts. They also have Kolaches (I haven't tried them yet, but want to one day!). There is always something for somebody, and you may have to find the one you want. But overall, their donuts are delicious. Cake donuts: denser than a yeast donut, but not too heavy, which I love. Yeast donuts: so light and airy, and just sweet enough. Fill donuts: filled to order with your choice of Bavarian cream, jelly, and chocolate. They have some other donuts that have lots of toppings/frostings for people who want a sweeter option. My top faves: ~Donut holes ~Red Velvet Cake donut ~Cronut ~Apple Fritter ~Glazed filled donut with Bavarian cream They open at 5AM and they sell out of certain things pretty fast! Quick service. Plenty of donut options. Friendly staff behind the counter. Best place in the area to get your donut fix.

I visited this morning (11/6/2025), and the staff member who said her name was Ella was extremely rude. I asked for two dozens of donuts, but she didn't have any boxes ready, so I thought she hadn't heard me. Since they usually have their boxes prepared, I repeated my order politely. Then she suddenly snapped, saying, "So what would you like!!" in a very rude tone. After that, she started acting overly nice in a sarcastic way. I've never experienced such unpleasant service at this place before. Very disappointing and unprofessional. read more
