If you are going to eat donuts and spike your sugar level, this is absolutely the place to do it. haha Duck Donuts makes everything fresh to order, so your donut comes out warm, soft, and dangerously good the second it hits your hands. My favorite is maple bacon donut--of course. I mean, who doesn't love that sweet-and-salty combo? The warm cake donut, the maple icing, the crunchy bacon on top... it just works every single time. I also love that you can customize your donut however you want, pick your icing toppings, and drizzles and create your own sugar adventure. It's more of a grab-and-go spot than a sit-down cafe, but honestly, once you get that warm donut, you won't want to wait anyway. This location has plenty of seating, so you can relax and enjoy your treats with friends and family. I love bringing my nephews and nieces, and they love it! If you are craving something fresh, fun, and warm enough to melt your willpower, Duck Donuts is the place. read more

I have not been to Duck in a while, my diet won't let me, but today i went by to get a dozen for some friends and I couldn't help myself. They are just absolutely, without hesitation, the BEST donuts in Northern Virginia. Unlike the rather dry and inedible Duncan, the folks at Duck Donuts make them FRESH right in front of you. Not over some long conveyor belt, but one at a time. The freshest donuts you will ever have. read more

This location needs more staff. There was one very nice person working an early Saturday morning, while many customers waited.

Me again, and yes, I will contact you via the website link previously provided. I was in today, Sat 1/24 to give it another chance at 10:15am-ish... First and foremost, your new-ish employee, gentleman with the long hair, should be the lead- he presented amazing work ethic and customer care. The other two gentlemen could really care less from what I saw during my visit. The one with long hair recognized immediately that I wanted to pay cash and not use the touchscreen.... I ordered two coffees and two donuts. He started to get the coffees- it seemed there wasn't any, he brewed more after I helped find the ground coffee. One of the other gentlemen working suggested he just give me the cold coffee from one coffee vat... within earshot of me... also made a rude comment to the new guy "yeah- we all get paid to stand around and do nothing" because he was waiting for the coffee to start to brew... Again- visit took 20minutes to get two donuts... one of which was the "coconut island bliss"... I didn't look in the box before leaving... get to where i was going to find a chocolate donut with a considerable amount of peanuts and about 50 individual shreds of coconut, if that... hello, I didn't request a chocolate donut with peanuts and a sprinkle of coconut.... order #31 read more

My daughter loves these donuts. The staff is always friendly and doughnuts are always fresh.

The best donuts around. I feel that I must write this review though to be honest. Clean the place! The floor is filthy, the mat in front of the register looks as though it's never been vacuumed, and either the toilet or the self-service kiosk is not working in some capacity, every other time we visit. Also, the past two times we've visited, they didn't have any coconut. I'd love to see this location thrive, but there is room for improvement. Thanks read more

Always friendly, donuts are freshly made, and so much better than any other donut place around here.

I should have kept driving when I saw the shop was empty. I picked up a couple dozen for the office. I thought the hot donuts would be great. I thought they were soft, no crisp to them at all. I will not be back. The staff were helpful and pleasant, I will give them that. read more

Terrible experience. When we walked in, no one greeted us. The male employee was on his phone right next to the icing station, wearing gloves while touching his phone and completely ignoring us. The store looked very dirty, and the donuts were cold and mediocre. Don't waste your money on bad service and a dirty environment. read more

Wow, so many choices which made our decision difficult. Well, we ended up getting a dozen when we were just going to get half a dozen. All were gone by day's end! Donuts were freshly made and hot/warm. You can build your own or just choose from the extensive menu. Chocolate ones were my favorite and there were the Fall seasonal flavors. I didn't think the bacon donuts would be good but my friends loved it. Staff was super friendly! Service was quick despite they were made on demand. Donuts were not super sweet which was good. Perfect treats to bring for a party or gathering. Definitely worth the calories! read more

2/12/23 Sabrina (if this is the manager I met) was polite, but not openly friendly. For the most part, I was in an out and that is about all that happened. I picked up two drinks for my wife and I that came to $4.50. This should be some good Gatorade. Ordering on line was an experience. My wife got her orders right, but my orders were missing an ingredient for 3 orders of donuts after I had already selected them. Oh well. Problem fixed and I now have the Donuts in my car. Time to go home and eat. Duck Donuts is really starting to spread its wings around Virginia. Guess we will see how big they get. read more

After moving from Arlington, VA to the general Tyson's area, picking up hot, fresh, Krispy Kreme's is a hike. Fear not, I have found myself a substitute! I've always loved cake donuts more so than the normal fried dough. Thus, Duck Donuts was made for me-- who doesn't like freshly made cake donuts to order (rhetorical). It's nice that there are several locations making this place much easier to access across Northern Virginia/DC Metropolitan area. Duck's have a ton of flavors from seasonal to their most popular selections. If there's one thing I wish could be changed is the price difference between selecting one of their listed flavors and creating your own donut. I can create my own donut with the same ingredients as one of their listed donuts for half the cost. It's a tedious workaround but I'm sure people have done it. [ UPDATE: I've learned that the price difference is a glitch in their application and is being worked on. Perhaps, the real workaround is to call your order in. Mind blown! ] read more

I'm sure the donuts are great. I just haven't been able to get any. Every time I show up they tell me it's going to be 15 to 30 minutes because they're understaffed. This time I tried calling ahead, right after they opened, but no one answered. It shouldn't be this hard to get some donuts. read more

Duck donuts is a wonderful place with the freshest fried dough. We tried the breakfast donut (cinnamon coffee) as well as the PB&J. Both were a solid 5 but I do wish that I had gotten peanuts as a topping on the PB&J. I did notice that while they occur chocolate donut options now, the chocolate has been sitting in the rack for a little bit. The beauty of Duck Donuts is in the freshness of the fried dough, so I'm not sure if I would try the chocolate. As with any other Duck Donut, the price is slightly on the higher side but the quality is legit. read more

WOW, I have never had anything like this. I know, I know, they're 'just' donuts and they're something found in everyday breakfast fare, but listen. Hot Duck Donuts? Prepared just for you? Truly something magical. This Fairfax location is fairly large and offers an open eating area with enough tables to social distance, depending on the time you arrive. There's several menus floating around touting the OGs and seasonal specials. We opted for a half dozen (a mistake, go for the dozen, dear reader) and waited in anticipation as they dropped the donut batter into the hot oil. The box came out packaged like a Christmas present, with the steam and heat of the donuts creating a shadow-like stain on the bottom of the box... or maybe it was the oil. Who cares. Took my first bite and damn. I will never eat a cold donut ever again. read more

If you love soft cake like donuts, this is the place to go! Most famous of the maple bacon, their donuts are made fresh and customized right after you order! For the hint of sweetness try out their regular glazed, the sweetness isn't overpowering. Personally speaking I usually only eat half a donut at a time but these are reasonably averaged sized so I could finish 1 whole donut in a sitting. FYI if you have had duck donuts in Outer Banks, NC (their origin) this place isn't as fluffy. read more

I have been missing outttt! I came here during opening time on a Sunday. It wasn't jammed packed which was nice. I got a 6 pack to share with my family, but enjoyed one warm and ate it in the cafe. The ordering process was simple enough. I wasn't too familiar with Duck Donuts, so I didn't know that it is fresh batter and they cook it SUPER FRESH! Wow, oh wow!!! The donuts were fantastic. What stands out especially is the customer service. Very kind workers and clean shop. Duck Donuts - 1st time here. omg cinnamon sugar is soooooo good. - Donuts Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

Just left this establishment. No vegan options. Very Disappointing. Hope they decide to expand their offerings.

My boss loves doughnuts. His little 4-year old is sick so I thought I'd get some specialty doughnuts on the way to dropping some work off at his house as he unexpectedly was home with his sick kid. I've heard of and seen Duck Donuts around but never felt compelled to stop at one. Today was no different but I wanted to take a treat with me for the kids. Duck Donuts was close so it won. I walked in to a bright cheery place with 2 people busily making doughnuts. Someone told me they'd be with me in a sec so I had some time to look around and figure out how this all worked. There were ordering forms with wax pencils and colorful pictures of the many donuts they offer, and spaces to make your own donut creation if nothing in the numerous pictures looked good to you. Once she was available I took my card up and asked if there were price differences between the types of donuts. Nope! So I ordered a half dozen mix for my boss and one for myself. They made my donut first so I could try it out when I was waiting as they hand make every donut to order. Again I wasn't expecting much. Actually I was expecting to be grossed out by an oily way-too-sweet pastry. I took a bite and wow, it was good. It was like a really good moist bite of cake with delicious toppings. Sweet but not too much. It was yummy. The friendly person at the counter mentioned they had fresh coffee and I also saw they had alternative milk options. I found it surprising that a donut place had both soy and almond milk available when lots of other bakery places don't have any. It's a good thing the half dozen I ordered were finished before I was done with with my donut or else I may have ordered another for myself before leaving. I'm a fan. I'll probably be dropping in again when I'm near one just to make sure I wasn't mistaken on how good it was. Then again. And agajn.... And folks, these pretty and colorful made-to-order donuts were less than $2 each. Compare that to overly sweet cupcakes for over double that price!!!! I'm definitely coming here if I need cupcake-like treats for a party. These donuts WIN! read more

Really appreciate the menus with photos which help my 5 year old pick out his combination of toppings and drizzles. They provide markers too so all he had to do was mark on the picture menu which ones he wanted. He also gets to watch them decorate his donuts! We usually come during the day when it's just us in the space and there's never an issue with parking. My classic go to is a maple bacon donut and I recently loved the citrus frosting options! TIP: Always eat these fresh donuts immediately! Don't wait, or else you'll be upset with yourself that you didn't eat them sooner. I love Duck Donuts. I wanted a McDonald's sausage egg and cheese sandwich, but alas they no longer do all day breakfast and my husband wanted donuts. After he got donuts he informed me they had egg sandwiches. So I then went into the store. No one was in line ahead of me and my sandwich took over 10 minutes to come out. Only after I asked, and someone checked did it "just come out". So I get to the car and already the smell was not enticing me but I tried to take one for the team so we could get to the zoo already! This sandwich was inedible. First of all it was so unnaturally hot, I couldn't even pick it up... it was on an English muffin. Minutes later I still could not bite into it without some pain. A section of the sausage was so hard (because it was obviously microwaved 5x too long) I couldn't chew it: (see left side of sandwich in image) The "egg" product was so spongy (and tiny) it did not even taste like egg. Just terrible. I tried to eat it. It was the worst egg sandwich of my life and this gal has eaten her fair share. This thing did not deserve to waste my daily intake of calories. I was better off going hungry till my next meal. So very disappointing. Even the cheese was absolutely disgusting, and I like ALL cheese, processed or not. I give two stars because my husband and nephew liked their donuts. Moral of the story. (And I knew better)... don't get an egg sandwich at a donut store. (Dunkin' Donuts egg sandwiches are also terrible but nothing compares to this one). I can only hope these young women working the store royally messed this one up and they ate not supposed to be like this. I've never been to duck donuts and I can't imagine I ever will. Duck donuts. Stick to making donuts .... only. read more
