Smelled so yummy inside!!! We got a box of 6 cookies. All were warm and delicious! Fave one was peanut butter! Service was great too- very friendly!
Subpar, lukewarm cookies and melted ice cream, super looong delivery time! I was so excited to order Insomnia Cookies during the gut-wrenching elections with an ETA 30-45 min - it took over 75 min! Sadly, the cookies were tepid and didn't have the ooegy gooey texture that I was hoping for as advertised on the site. While I'm sure the cookies were pipping hot when they were baked and placed in the cardboard box, all the heat was lost in the 20 min lag time of contacting a driver and an additional 20 min from a previous stopover. The cookies taste like cheap grocery store cookies from Safeway/Giant (Wegman's Bakery is the best!). The Deluxe ginormous S'mores and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup cookies missed the mark. I wish there were more peanut butter chunks spread throughout the cookie rather than just the top. The marshmallow, graham cracker, and double chocolate chip cookie didn't blend that well together and wasn't like S'mores. The pint of ice cream was placed sideways in a brown bag and started melting. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an ice pack to keep the ice cream cold. It was a lackluster experience as the quality of the cookies and supply chain needs some work. If you're craving cookies, just throw some cookie dough in the freezer. Skip delivery or visit the storefront for some ooey gooey cookies.

I was super excited that they finally opened an Insomnia Cookies near me! I used to go all the time down in Blacksburg or in Georgetown but finally there was one less than 15 mins from me. To start off -- the service here is amazing! Even when they're in a food rush the staff is always so nice and makes sure that the order is always correct. Off to the food review! They have a variety of cookie options with new specials every season(?) My favorite is the oatmeal cookie and also the vegan chocolate chip. The cookies also go really well with their ice creams. They have an option to do a cookie sandwich but I like getting my ice cream on the side since I hate when the ice cream falls out when I bite into it. All in all, this is a very good place to get cookies!
I scheduled a actual Insomnia Cookie bike ride 15 miles for a group of ladies. The location is great - they don't open until 12 on Sundays but we planned accordingly. The young lady who waited on us was so patient with all of our questions. The smell OMG you can imagine. Can't wait to go back. Check out the website before you go- soooo many options. I was boring and just got regular chocolate chip. Everyone else walked out with boxes of cookies. Oh one more thing - they dont accept cash (except for the tip jar)
The cute shop hidden in the back side of university mall. Plenty of parking and open late. The deluxe cookies are a great treat! We got a four pack, and even two days later, they were still soft! I love their variety of flavors with my favorite being the s'mores. My son loves the funfetti and the triple chocolate chip. They also serve ice cream which we didn't try, but will definitely come back when it's a little warmer!
Still yummy. This spot is still a bit hidden behind the main shops at university mall. We had and enjoyed the chocolate chunk and m&m and snicker doodle. The peanut butter was ok I probably will pass next time. Tastes so good warm.
Tasty cookies! I just wish they warmed up the cookies, or if that is an option, they didn't tell me. The peanut butter cup cookie had large chunks of Reese's cups that were delicious, but the center felt a bit undercooked. The white chocolate was my favorite and still soft and chewy despite not being warmed up. My least favorite was the chocolate chunk cookie because it tasted a bit burnt and was kind of hard. Service was quite slow and the cookies are not worth waiting in line for if you want a quick late-night snack. It's a small store, so long lines can make the entrance cramped. Overall, the I enjoyed the cookies, but would not come back.
The last time I saw an Insomnia Cookies was in New York! What a nice surprise to see one that is now local in NOVA! Strategic that they placed it right by the GMU campus too. Stopped by on a Sunday around noon. It wasn't busy at all. Got a box of 12 cookies plus one extra free cookie for National Cookie Day! At about $2 a cookie, these were good. Maybe a tad bit overpriced because of their size, but I think it might be because of inflation. Regardless, I prefer these over Crumbl cookies. They are crispy AND chewy and have a good ratio of ingredients. Yum!
Great cookie and ice cream. Customer service was horrible and rude. Pretty sure the kid was tired but give me a break and don't be rude.

The employees are knowledgeable and efficient. When I arrived, my cookies were ready and piping hot. What a treat to get cookies seemingly fresh out of the oven. I like the concept and all the cookies were pretty tasty. However once the cookies cook down, they lose their luster and "specialness" and return to normal cookie status. So my advice is to eat these immediately!

Always nice to have a staple cookie place and they did not disappoint. Soft and fresh cookies. The white macadamia was my favorite. It was the peak cookie you want as a late night sweet snack. Will order from again the next time a sweet tooth hits the fam. read more

Insomnia Cookies brings me back the memories of days and years in NYC as that was when I first encountered them. I was sooo ecstatic when I found out that there was one in Fairfax! The smell of fresh cookies always bring me happiness, and love how that's the first thing I sense as I enter the store. The owner? (a nice gentleman...) who works during the weekday mornings/afternoons are so friendly, which makes the cookie purchasing experience extra positive! Their cookies are taken out of the warmer for each customer, so you are always guaranteed for warm cookies. I love how they package them in a box so that the cookies stay in tact, and not get crushed or squished during transit. Side Note: 1. The shop is located at the back of the shopping center, so don't look for it up in the front area. There are plenty of parking spaces available. 2. They close really late...1am most days except during the weekends where they close at 3am. 3. The more cookies you buy, the cheaper it will be due to a slight discount. Each classic cookie is $2.50 (deluxe is a little more...). But there are 4-packs, 6-packs, etc. that will cost you less than the original price of the cookies if buying individually. The deluxe is considered all the fancier ones and seasonal cookies--I always opt for their classic chocolate chip cookies as they are THE best and the most delicious out of all, lol. 4. I really love these cookies much more than Crumbl and other competitors. They just opened the week of 7/19/22. They are still in the soft opening phase so take it easy on them as they are still getting things all set up. The cookies we wanted were still baking since they sold out but the owner/manager and staff was kind enough to give us complimentary cookies and ice cream while we waited. They did not have to do that but they went above and beyond to meet customer expectations. The confetti is the absolute best and worth waiting for if necessary!! We wish them the best of luck and much success. read more

Awesome chain for delicious, warm cookies with friendly staff. In addition to classic and deluxe cookies, their menu also offers ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, cookie cakes, and icing. The knowledgeable staff makes ordering in-person a pleasant experience, often sharing current promos or "special" menu items. One can also order online for pickup/delivery, as common among university students. I appreciate that they offer allergen-friendly cookies, including vegan and gluten-free options. Wow wow wow is all I have to say! Absolutely delicious, huge, chewy cookies. The staff is also very sweet. The location is a little hard to find because most gps apps will take you to the front of the shopping center. Follow the road around to the back to find the store. So yummy!! read more
