My colleagues recommended this place and brought muffins from here. Went to check it out on a random Wednesday morning and it was packed with students, locals, and people getting ready to go to work. They had an assortment of what I believe is Turkish pastries and baked goods. They have a reasonably priced menu for sandwiches. We already had plans to eat at an Indian restaurant, so couldn't really think about eating anything. However, there were so many different muffins and they looked so pretty in the display case. I still didn't know what the items on the ither side of the case were, so I skipped those. My mother wanted thw almond croissant, but it looked almost a week old, so that was a hard no. I decided on the chocolate with cream cheese muffin. The employee suggested getting 4 muffins as a better deal, but wasn't in a muffin mood, I couldn't even think about having 4 muffins at the moment! We kept the muffin in the hot car while we went to Woodlands, then walked around Lowes. Once we reached home and finally tried the muffin, it was actually soft and moist! There were a few customers therè, a decent number of tables and seats. Once I checked in on Yelp, a 10% coupon popped up. Note that if you get yours to go, they don't ask if you want them warmed up; not sure if that's even an option if you're not dining in. I wasn't too sure on the combo, but it was the perfect sweetness level and wasn't too dry (though still would be best served with a hot tea or coffee!). I noticed there were quite a few customers inside and how highly rated on Yelp this place was so decided to give it a try while I waited for another store to open! The servers were friendly and efficient. The cafe is small and homey style with some inside seating. I got the Chocolate pistachio Authentic Gourmet Baklava - 3/5 I don't have much baklava so I can't say if it's good for the type of food but it was nice small not too sweet dessert! Heavy on pistachio flavor and nuts can be a bit dry but the baklava itself was moist maybe from the chocolate. Pogaca - 3.5/5 the bread is super fluffy and seasoned! I think the edges are a bit thick and wish the beef reached more into those corners but overall yummy I can taste that the mozzarella is fresh and the filling focused more on the beef inside with a touch of cheese. Was craving a delicious muffin and the pineapple cheesecake + chocolate raspberry renditions here both hit the nail on the head. I loved that these muffins did not taste too sweet or artificial or have any prepackaged notes.... Instead they were decadent and tasted freshly made with love. I am kinda bummed because I was SO excited to try this bakery! My husband and I were in the area for a date lunch and we made a special trip to the bakery to try some items. Now I will couch my review with a note that I am very familiar with Turkish cuisine, have traveled to Turkey four times and have dined at many Turkish restaurants both in the US and in Turkey. We tried the simit and Pogaca potato and feta. We also ordered two muffins- Boston creme and a rainbow sprinkle. The muffins were ok, kinda didn't know whether they want to be a muffin or cake. But the flavor is pretty good and my husband really enjoyed the chocolate on the Boston creme. Unfortunately all of the Turkish savory items were a bit of a let down. All of the bread was way too dense and hard. The simit was more like an American style bagel and not simit. The dough of the pogaca was way too hard and heavy. This is meant to be a buttery type crust that I know and love. I'm not saying I won't go back, maybe I didn't get their freshest options, idk. But I really was hoping for more of an authentic experience but sadly didn't get one. read more

We got a box of muffins to go in the morning. See pics for what we got. 4 muffins were able to fit in a box, they were that big! I tried the cranberry, coconut, and sprinkles one. I appreciate that they have a good selection to fit the adult and child taste buds. The muffins themselves are not too sweet and are very fluffy, moist, and crumble away when you take a bite. I personally recommend the cranberry one. One of my friends did find a piece of an eggshell in their muffin. But otherwise these are delicious fresh muffins. read more

I've been here so many times; the service, food, and beverages are always consistently good. They're on Groupon quite frequently so grab a voucher. The pastries are beautiful AND delicious, the savory and sweet ones are so good. I get the Oreo muffin for my husband and one of the savory pastries for myself. I've had the cinnamon toast latter, creme brulee latte, white chocolate mocha, and hot matcha latte. The white chocolate mocha is my absolute favorite it's sooooo good, but a little on the sweeter side so I don't get it often. They have different options for plant milk, I get coconut or oat milk. They use the milk from ALDI. The prices have increased just a bit this year, but they're still slightly cheaper than Starbucks. They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches + much more. They have loads of muffin flavors and multiple flavors of baklava. I got the pistachio baklava and the chocolate raspberry muffin. The baklava was buttery, flaky, and syrupy - delicious. The raspberry chocolate muffin was AMAZING. It was the best muffin I've had all year lol - moist and chocolatey and the raspberries were fresh. Such a good combo. They also serve Turkish coffee here! Inside is very nice and not too crowded. Although all the pastries looked very tempting, I decided to have a Lox on an everything bagel. I really liked it. This spot is so cozy and cute! They had a huge variety of muffins, as well as a good assortment of pastries. The interior is tiny but they do have some tables and offer free WiFi! Five stars for vibes for sure. I would give the food a 4, the things we tried were on the slightly blander side. The ribeye pastry was tasty, as was the turkey and cheese croissant. We tried one of the potato Turkish pastries, and I wish the potato filling had some flavor or seasoning. The hot chocolate came out the perfect temp but tasted more like steamed milk. An unsuspecting Turkish bakery right in our back yard. As stated by all, this place is truly a gem. Their Turkish coffee is fantastic (and served with a little treat). Their bagels, while not quite to NY level, are some of the best you will find in NoVA, and I think the best in Fairfax. It was busy when we came on a Sunday morning, and it took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. My husband also got one of the breakfast sandwiches on a bagel and the omelets portion was fantastic. It surprises me that somewhere so delicious is located unassumingly in Fairfax. There's mention of vegan here so I stopped in to check it out. There's no vegan baked items (although they did say they could make gluten free upon request) but the owner was so nice I decided to stay and try out a few items. I started with the $5 baklava special and then added a hummus pita after realizing I was hungrier than I thought. The pita was ok - the veggies were very fresh and crisp - but the winner of the visit was that baklava platter. Maybe it was because the coffee was truly Turkish. Maybe it was the thoughtful glass of water. Maybe it was the deliciously unexpected piece of jelly dessert that was on the platter next to the baklava.
