I have been coming to breeze since I moved to Annandale in 2011. I've always loved the whimsical decorations and enjoy the Korean baked goods. I mourn the fact that COVID killed the samples, but it's still a great place to shop for a treat or just run in and grab a coffee which I do a few times a month. Recommend: Any of the breads that are unwrapped and on the baking trays by the counter. Those are fresh out of the oven that day. I especially love the mocha roll. It's big and fluffy with chewy moist mocha flavored dough and a crispy sugary coating on the outside that's to die for. It's still light and fluffy at the same time. Yum! And while it's prob not made in-house, I do love the red bean buns. Bathrooms are always clean and the upstairs is great for a longer chat with a friend, time in a book, or board or card game time. They also have a lovely upstairs covered porch for pretty days. read more

Went in for the mango snow, but they were out of the mangoes. Decided to try the yogurt snow and also got a chocolate chip brownie plus an upside down pineapple cake. First, the yogurt snow had awful fruits: kiwi was old, strawberries were not ripe, melon tasted like watermelon rinds, the canned mandarins tasted canned. The yogurt was okay, but the snow tasted just like ice. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever for $16.55 The chocolate chip brownie, didn't have much taste of chocolate and stale. $4.50 The upside down pineapple cake was the worst, so old it had the metallic taste of the aluminum container and crumbled into granules using a fork. Absolutely inedible! $4.25 Breeze bakery has been going downhill for a while now, but 3 out 3 items being inedible for $28 is unbelievable. There is also the short bulky Korean guy, possibly the manager who's seems to be on a power trip and speaks to customers rudely and unprofessionally. I love a good Korean bakery, and luckily living in Annandale means I have plenty to choose from. Breeze Bakery Café is a two-floor bakery with tons of options -- sweet, savory, hot, and cold. The space is always well kept and well stocked, making it a great place to pop into when I'm nearby and craving a quick snack. My recent favorite has been the savory onion bread, which has been absolutely delicious. Overall, I think most of the items are reasonably priced, though one small pet peeve was that the madeleines felt a bit pricey at $4 for two pieces. That said, they were still very tasty. Frequented this cafe numerous times. The coffee is okay. I enjoy their iced banana latte, the rest is pretty average. For hot teas, my go-to is the sour plum tea - very comforting and a unique flavor you can't find most places. The bakery items are good, I haven't been disappointed but nothing has blown my mind. What I enjoy the most is the yogurt soft serve with toppings!! The yogurt is the perfect balance of sweet and tart, I haven't found another place that has this same flavor yet. Refreshing with fresh fruits, mochi, and cereal flakes. The interior is relatively clean with plenty of seating up and downstairs. It does get crowded and loud in the evenings. There is a covered patio on second floor that's more ideal when weather is nice. But it's usually heated in winter. Their cakes are also good, namely the mango. I was OBSESSED with this bakery the first time I entered it. I absolutely loved the variety in what they offered: pastries, yogurt, milky ice bars (popsicles), gelato (I think?), mother of pearl jewelry boxes, tea cut sets, sandwiches, chocolates, teas, smoothies.. and did I see salads on the menu? I'm not quite sure. I was too distracted by the sweets!! I wanted it ALL haha. I also really liked their cute flowers by the stairs. I got the melon-flavored milky ice bar (popsicle), one of the castellas, an egg & bacon pastry, vegetable and beef croquette, Korean sweet herbal tea, soft egg jam baguette, and Dubai chocolate pistachio. All were delicious! Though, I wish my egg & bacon pastry was warm. The Dubai chocolate was also overpriced compared to what other places charge for larger sizes. Still, it was good! Love this place! The pastries are always fresh and delicious, service is kind and fast, and the ambiance in the cafe is so cozy and welcoming! I love the amount of seating available, especially on the second floor terrace - it almost makes you feel like you're at a bakery somewhere in Europe. Very nice bakery and cafe. I happened to visit on a Saturday night and they were busy, so not as full of a selection, some of the display cases were empty, because it was late. I asked about a few items and they did a wonderful job explaining things. I took my items to go, so I did not have the entire sit-down and relax experience. What I noticed, they have a lot of space. Solid Korean bakery - Mochi doughnut - yummy, sweet, and mochi-soft. Love it! - Sweet rice ball - meh okay. It has red bean inside, which I didn't expect, so it's pretty much the sweet version of a red bean sesame ball without sesame seeds. I thought it'd be like those sweet rice (doughnut) balls in NYC, which was amazing and sweet (but not overly so). This wasn't the same thing, alas. - Caramel cake - surprisingly really good and lightly sweet, lighter than a (white) American version would've been. As a community staple for many years, this bakery has been serving some great pastries and baked goods. My friend recommended the Blueberry Yogurt Cake that was soft and pillowy with yummy layers of sweet and lightly tart yogurt cream. The croffle was alright. This is my second time coming here and I wish I had more stomachs to try everything. Located right off I-495, tucked between a 7-11 and a kbbq place is this amazing bakery/cafe. Once you enter through the door, you are immediately greeted by a plethora of baked goods, drinkware and the bright displays of the cakes and gelatos. I was initially overwhelmed with all the choices and ultimately settled on a green tea gelato snow. The green tea gelato snow consists of a base layer of shaved ice topped with red beans, mochi and a scoop of green tea gelato. The ice was shaved a bit more coarse than I like, the red beans were not sweet at all, the mochi were soft and chewy and the green tea gelato on top was creamy and had a balanced green tea flavor. The snows come in two sizes and I got the small. The large size is truly large and would be enough to be shared with 2-3 even 4 people. read more
