Bake shop is my go to bakery in this area, my favorite place to get a sweet treat. The Falls Church one is just as awesome as Arlington, the parking lot is a bit tighter so keep that in mind. I absolutely love their macaroons, they are so big and perfect perfectly made, the pistachio one is my favorite. I love to see that the staff was not only super friendly, but was very aware and sanitary. When I ordered and was picking out my macaroons, they changed gloves after touching the pistachio ones before touching any of the others. It's things like that and small details that really show me that they care about attention to detail.

Cookie dough extreme cupcake, tasty
Aarti B.

Delicious baked goods, the Xtreme Cookie Dough Cupcake and Frozen Hot Chocolate Pie are my faves! The Frozen Hot Chocolate Pie hits the spot with a chocolate mousse, Oreo crust, and topped with whipped cream. The Xtreme Cookie Dough Cupcake is a moist cupcake with chocolate chips and a nice cookie dough frosting on top. Whenever Bakeshop announces it has these cupcakes on Instagram, I try to make a trip to the bakery to snap a cupcake! The fudgey Brownie was pretty moist and also tasty. The Oreo in a Blanket, which is a stuffed Oreo in a chocolate chip cookie, is fun to try and best heated up for 15 seconds. Otherwise it's rock hard (I've learned my lesson over the years!). The Almond Croissant was a bit of a miss, it had a sweet almond frosting cream instead of the traditional yellow frangipane creamy custard. The baked goods can be stale, they aren't baked daily. So check/carefully inspect the pastries before buying. I ordered a cookie cake from the Clarendon location and it was dry and rock hard. Excited to try the Cookie Dough Extreme Cake and looking forward to visiting the Bakeshop in Vienna.

Key Lime Pie

Quick update to say that their berry scones and almond croissants are both worth a try. As a native Flordian, their Key Lime Pie is one of the better ones I've had outside my beloved homeland and I'll back to get that again. Their coffee (especially the chickory and Vietnamese) are also always worth a try. Everyone is very friendly here and they do their best to keep the line moving fast but keep in mind the place isn't huge so if they're crowded you might want to get your order to go. Forgot to mention my dog loves their dog treats too.

Vegan chocolate raspberry cake (6 inch)

Love love love the bake shop! You can't go wrong with any of their baked treats and cakes. I ordered a vegan chocolate raspberry cake for my brother's 30th. A 6-inch cake was a perfect size for 8 people with a few extra slices. The cake was well made and very moist. Probably one of the best vegan cakes I had. They have a variety of cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts as well. There are also a few seats inside and outside if you want to enjoy your dessert at the store. Highly recommend the Bakeshop for all of your sweet treat needs!

ALWAYS a 10/10. As I vegan I love the variety of options I have here. The treats are always amazing, and the workers are always patient and quick. The vibe is cute and they often decorate for holidays and seasons. Totally recommend!

Bake shop is a hidden gem in Falls Church! We went for the first time two weeks ago and then went back a second time for more. It's pretty unassuming in a strip mall near Aldi, but we were pleasantly surprised when we went in. They have cookies, cakes, cupcakes, scones, coffee and more. We tried the chocolate chip, m&m, brookie, and the cranberry orange white chocolate cookies. All were delicious, the brookie was my favorite! Prices are steep for an individual cookie ($3.50) but they are really good. Worth a splurge if you want a treat!

pandan tres leche cake and vietnamese iced coffee cake

Cute shop with fun pastries, coffee, and even breakfast sandwiches. Haven't tried any drinks here, but I enjoyed the food. It's a small space with not much seating at this location compared to their others. We got to try the Pandan Tres Leche Cake and Vietnamese Iced Coffee Cake. Great flavors and texture (I'm not too much of a sweets person). The breakfast sandwich was not bad! Pretty simple and satisfies the craving.

Tori H.

I came by for late night desserts, and the cashier was very knowledgeable and willing to give suggestions! She recommended the gluten free brownie, but ultimately I went with a brookie with vanilla ice cream. I had to search the box for one with vanilla, but it was SO worth it! It's huge and so delicious and the flavor of both combined and was so so good! It was pretty frozen solid and I was pleasantly surprised that it did not melt for my 35 min drive home. It was actually the right consistency for when I got home to devour! My friends who bought one and at it right away still enjoyed it but it was so hard for them to eat. Such a cute spot, with so many desserts and seating options! The parking lot does get very crowded but it is manageable for a quick stop and go! I'd 100% recommend trying out the Brooke with vanilla ice cream! It's enough to fill two people's sweet tooth for a late night treat!

We love Bakeshop! This place has a large assortment of pie/cake, cookies, macaroons, ice cream sandwiches and cupcakes. Our favorites are the blueberry oatmeal cookie and peanut butter nutella pie. I also really like the Vietnamese iced coffee. This location is great because it has parking and outdoor seating. There are only a few tables, 5 tables that fit two. They were separated in two tables for large groups and one small table for two when we went. People brought their dogs and sat outside.

Cake order

Cries! We went over it on the phone and then texted me my receipt and exactly what be written on the cake. It's okay though cake was yummy

Went to the Arlington location for the first time, but leaving the review here since I don't see the Arlington Bake Shop on Yelp. Cute and cozy ambiance, very small space with limited seating. Staff is very friendly and helpful in answering questions and providing recommendations! Presentation of the baked goods was 10/10, so many different kinds of flavors for the desserts. I ordered the Vietnamese cold brew, which was perfectly bold with subtle sweetness to accompany the robust coffee notes. The Vietnamese coffee cake didn't taste like coffee at all, it just tasted like chocolate cake, but it was perfectly moist and tasty nonetheless -- the name is just slightly deceiving. The strawberry cupcake was not too sweet, I think it was strawberry buttercream frosting, and it was also tasty! Overall, great place to stop by to pick up some desserts and baked goods!

Nicole B.

Their cookie ice cream sandwich is amazing. The ice cream is frozen solid so it can last as long as you're eating the giant cookie sandwich. Also tried their brown bitter chocolate chip and brookie, which were both excellent. Great sou

I got the savory pie that was stuffed with an unctuous gumbo filling made with creole spices, the holy trinity (onions, peppers, and celery), and a generous portion of chicken. The pie pastry had a perfect flaky crumb that held the filling together. A friend had their breakfast sandwich, which had a rustic and delightful tang from the inclusion of sourdough in the biscuit batter that paired well with the thick slab of egg and crispy bacon. Incredibly savory items. I'm always gravitated towards how well a cafe can do a savory menu and this exceed my expectations. Friends I came in with who got their coffee said that it was very delicious, and the baristas can make a beautiful frothy and rich matcha latte. Its both parts technical skills to pull coffee or whisk matcha and sourcing of high-quality ingredients. Drinks make up a large part of any cafe, so to do it well here in this neighborhood cafe is exceptional. The baristas are running that place like a tight ship! Tip well!

Their biscuit sandwiches are good for the biscuits, if at the high side of what they should cost when compared to nearby competitors. Their coffee and teas are oddly so so, again it's a really rough coffee market in DC and this place maybe only struggled some because of the interest of the staff or their overall menu, haven't been enough to figure it out. I would likely swing by if I had to, but would avoid most of their drinks and probably focus on something small. They have fun designs for merch.

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.

But since I wanted to peruse the menu a bit more, I figured the kiosk was the best way to check out other items on the menu besides the sandwich that I knew I wanted. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the bulgogi egg sandwich to go. The sandwich was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and the sauce brought everything together. I could see why it was one of their best selling items. The hibiscus lemonade was delicious as well, though I'm interested in trying other drinks on the menu such as their smoothies.
