Simply Social Coffee, located in the Fairfax Court shopping center, offers a warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with an electronic fireplace. It's the perfect spot to enjoy specialty coffees and seasonal lattes such as Creme Brulee and Peppermint Mocha, along with delicious pastries, including croissants, kouign-amanns, gourmet cookies, donuts, and hearty breakfast options like avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches. The friendly staff provides excellent service, and the cozy, beautifully decorated interior, especially during the winter holidays, makes it a favorite place for the community to relax with a good cup of coffee. We first discovered this charming cafe when it opened in Fairfax, and we've enjoyed its other locations in Vienna and Reston as well. Across all locations, they maintain consistent quality, serving excellent coffee with a waffle piece--a lovely gesture that reflects their warmth and hospitality.

Nitro Cold Brew

Overall a 4.5/5, but bumping it to a 5/5 for good nitro cold brew tasting notes, which can be difficult to find. My friends and I stopped by after lunch this past Saturday since we wanted coffee. I got the NITRO COLD BREW - 16 OZ (5.50) which came with... ice? Typically, the drink doesn't come with ice, but this one did. It did dilute the drink a bit, unfortunately. Nevertheless, the nitro cold brew was creamy and smooth, and I really enjoyed the chocolatey and nutty aftertaste that came with every sip.

Cute little coffee shop with a cozy, small-café vibe. I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk--it was good, though a little on the sweet side for my taste. It came with a pizelle on the side, which was a nice touch and a pleasant surprise. I also had a chocolate croissant, and they heated it up for me, which made it extra tasty. The staff wasn't the friendliest, but service was prompt and efficient. Overall, a solid spot for a quick coffee and pastry.

Stopped by simply social Coffee which is located a few doors down from Great Wall. It is a small cafe with limited seating. There was a case of pastries. I'm unsure if they are baked there. The inside of the cafe is decorated for the holidays. I saw some people working/studying there. They had a seasonal drink menu at the counter and I ordered a seasonal iced latte. It came with a small piece of pizelle which was a nice touch.

Crème Brulé iced decaf latte

I'm in Fairfax for a doctors visit so I wanted to try a new coffee joint. The staff were super friendly and helped me with a good recommendation. I got a Crème Brulé iced decaf latte with whole milk and it came with a cookie on the side! It was delicious! I would come here again if I was local to the area. I came here on a Thursday morning and it was almost packed inside. I can't imagine how busy it gets over the weekends! The place is cute but tiny. Thankfully they have outdoor seating and I believe it is dog friendly (outside).

Limited seating but everything else is great. I tried their Dirty Matcha Latte, which has a couple espresso shots - my new favorite. I found them after visiting their Reston location, so glad I did. They've got a good selection of breakfast sandwiches, some unique syrups for lattes, and plenty of pastries. I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I were in search of a good coffee spot while in the area. Simply Social popped up as a recommendation. I'm so glad we gave it a try. It's a cute little coffee shop located in a strip mall. We aren't from the area so the parking lot was a little chaotic. We both had hot lattes and were very satisfied. I wish I would have tried the egg and cheese sandwich. On the way out, I noticed another customer eating one and it looked so good!

hands down the BEST dirty matcha ever!! whenever i come back to virginia to visit, i always have to stop by here to get an iced almond dirty matcha, if you like espresso and matcha you gotta try it! they also have a decent amount of seating inside and the service is very quick and the baristas are always very nice.

Matcha latte and chai Latte

A friend recommended this coffee spot, so we decided to stop by after a disappointing experience at another tea place nearby. I usually order matcha and always ask for less sweetness, but I was surprised that here the drinks are pre-made, so they couldn't adjust it. Unfortunately, the matcha turned out much too sweet for me and also quite watery. My friend had a chai latte and felt the same watery and not as flavorful compared to other places she's tried. That said, I don't want to judge the whole shop based only on these drinks. It seems like they focus more on breakfast items and coffee, so I'd be open to coming back to try those instead. The shop itself is very small inside, but they do have a cute fenced patio for seating. One thing I really loved is how dog-friendly. Lots of cute doggies pictures Overall, not impressed with the matcha or chai, but I'd come back to try the breakfast and coffee since that seems to be what they're known for.

The misleading dog board

had a very disappointing experience at Simply Social Coffee today. I came in with my service dog, and the first thing the cashier told me was that dogs weren't allowed inside and that I needed to go outside and order online. This was not only disrespectful but also potentially illegal in Virginia, as service dogs are legally allowed in public establishments. I had to step outside, hand my dog to my husband, and then return to place my order. When ordering my latte, I asked for light ice, and instead of just noting my request, the cashier took five extra minutes to explain that my cup wouldn't be filled to the top. While I understand portioning, the way she said it came off as unnecessarily rude and condescending. As I waited for my order, I noticed a board covered in Polaroid pictures of dogs, making the place seem dog-friendly--which made the refusal to allow my working dog inside even more contradictory and misleading. If this café truly cares about dogs, they should at least allow service animals inside for a brief moment while someone orders, or at the very least, offer to take an order and bring the drink outside. To top it off, my latte with "light ice" was indeed not filled to the top, which was just the final frustration in an already bad experience. The lack of respect, poor customer service, and confusing policies make it unlikely that I'll return.

The Nitro Cold Brew at "Milk Chocolate" Level of cream. Perfectly made, a great treat. + The delicious pastry section.

This coffee shop is a step above. Their menu has an outstanding variety, yet each item seems to be mastered by their team. No item received ever feels rushed or lackluster. I love the care they put into their food and service. What is also surprising is how cheap their food is for the quality. I always feel like im getting way more than I pay for with their meals. It's a small thing, but they keep their tip menu small as well which makes me happy to see. I dislike how other stores force a 22% tip menu in your face, even if it's by accident. The whole experience at Simply Social is homey and welcoming.

I usually get their cappuccino or iced vanilla latte. Both are consistently good, and the default isn't too sweet. The little pizzelle cookie that comes with each drink is a cute touch.

It's very pleasant except that they will not give you tap water to drink. Charging $1 a cup is absurd.

Espresso is acidic. Not a fan of the beans. Chocolate zucchini bread didn't taste good either. Piece of cookie they give you tastes stale.

Ask the Community - Simply Social Coffee

What are the vegan options?

Hi! Are there sugar free options for the frappes? Or are they powder based?

They are powered based. Unfortunately we don't have sugar free options. However we do have sugar free syrup we can blend with milk and ice to create something similar to frappe, but not exactly. We have sf caramel and vanilla. Thanks

I saw Haraz on Instagram right around the time they opened, and the photos and videos of the interior and the food are spot on. The designers knew exactly what they were doing with the color pallet, lighting, and furniture to design an open, welcoming, and relaxing space reminiscent of the Middle East. You order at the counter either through a tablet or with an employee, and if there is a line you get a few extra moments to gaze into their pastry display that also features my favorite pistachio milk cake. It makes a lovely, light dessert or midday treat. Another pastry-specific highlight is their bee bites. It looks like a bubble waffle but is a toasted bread with cream cheese and honey. They are busy pretty much at all times of day and on the weekends especially. Morning coffee, early afternoon, and even late at night with large groups hanging out and enjoying coffee. This time I had to order their Zatar Grilled Cheese sandwich, because majority of the other sandwich options were out or no longer being sold. The quality of the sandwich was poor and too basic for the price. With my small latte and the Zatar sandwich, the bill came to ~$17 (without tip). If the quality was great or unique okay, but it's not worth it. If you come here, only come for a drink something - not the food. Either they need to lower the price of the sandwich significantly or make it better to justify the price; I felt like it way too basic to be price-justified. 3/5

They offer a variety of sandwiches, coffee drinks and plenty of yummy pastries (baked goods and cakes). I will be honest I am not a fan of their sandwiches, hence the 4 stars. I only go there for their delicious lattes and baked goods. Considering that I'm there at least once a week, I'm glad they now started a point system so I get to have my pastries free every so often. The staff are always so friendly and polite. Worth giving them a shot! Keep in mind if you don't want your drink too sweet, definitely mention that at the register; otherwise, they're quite generous with their sweet syrups.

I can finally say that I've tried these viral fruit desserts and I was not disappointed!…read more Layered seems to have a few haters based on previous reviews, but I don't understand why. Are the fruit desserts pricey? Yes. I paid about $42 for 3 of them. But I can also acknowledge that a lot of skill and time goes into making these - from the multi-layered fillings to the airbrushed coatings on top. They're a work of art! And every single one looked perfect in the glass display. As for the flavor? I really enjoyed the ones I tried - mango, pistachio and orange (pictured). Mango was by far my favorite. The crunch when you bite into these is so satisfying, and the fruit purees in the middle taste like fresh fruit and not artificial at all. The pistachio one had a Dubai inspired filling with kadaif. They look small but honestly one is more than enough for dessert.
