A solid spot to pick up lunch from to go - a few seats at a counter but not many and no outdoor seating. I ordered a sandwich and wanted to make it a combo but they only do it with fries, no chips. For most, thats an awesome deal - I just personally wanted chips. They have the fancier drinks and not your typical soda options so keep this in mind. My roasted turkey sandwich was $14.95 to start, and toppings like pepper relish cost extra (I feel like a spread should not be half a dollar but sure). Meat quality was good and bread felt fresh but just a little hard to chew. For basically 16$, there was only two thin slices of provolone. Compared to some of the photos I saw, the sandwich was a bit lacking on the toppings of meat/cheese. People super friendly and service was quick. Disappointing. Heard a lot of good things about this deli so tried their original cheesesteak. First thing about a good cheesesteak is the bread and they way missed the mark. It was thick and dry and overwhelmed the filling. I just couldn't get past this. It was robbery at $17 for the small sandwich. And they asked for a tip! For that price, you'd better be paying your employees well; don't ask me to supplement their wages. Won't return. Edit: I was not asked for a tip by the staff but the card reader they swivel around to you has the usual 18, 20, and 25% tip "suggestion." Seating very limited and only as counter style. In addition only 4 of the seats are standard height so if you cant get on higher chairs a issue. Add in elbow to elbow and its tight as all seats being used. They actually gave a full bar but unfortunately only three beers in bottles. Hubby prefers draft. Fantastic little find, great food and friendly staff. The bread for their subs was really fresh and good. My turkey sandwich was fresh and hit the spot. Others in our group ordered cheesesteak and a chicken cheesesteak. I tried a bite of each and they were both great too. This isn't a greasy philly cheesesteak that falls apart and makes you regret your life choices. Meats were nicely seasoned, tender, bread contained everything and held up. No sogginess here! You can go to A Litteri in Union Market and get a 9 inch sub (with imported meats, cheeses, and sauces) for $12. This small sub was $15.99 for 6 inches with less toppings. It also took over fifteen minutes which is odd because the place was dead. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good. But is it worth it? I really don't think so. They also have a nice little seating area out back that is good, but I'd recommend doing takeout! Although the bread might be soggy. Ours was soggy within five seconds of getting. read more

Getting a good Italian hoagie (or sub, depending on your metro area of origin) outside of the Northeast poses a challenge. More often than not, one encounters soft and sweet bread, sloppy construction, and suspect topping choices. As a Philly native, I take my sandwiches seriously. Furthermore, I rarely get to savor them since my wife doesn't care for cold cuts, so when I do they must meet the standard. Capo Deli offers a reasonable option in Northern Virginia to get your Italian sandwich fix. I've gotten takeout from the small storefront near Tyson's a couple times, and have been pleased with the product on offer. The main component to get right with a hoagie is the bread. While Capo's loaves won't win any awards back home, they are at least requisitely crusty and lack the cloying sweetness that most area breads possess. The Italian meats arrive thinly shaved and decently portioned. The construction of the sandwiches themselves warrants merit, as the hoagies remain intact and evenly seasoned with each bite. The flavors here stick to the classics, so you won't encounter any surprises in terms of flavors when ordering. I do find that Capo offers a poor value. The small sizes start at $14 and while the quantity of meat is solid the sandwich is a little too small to make for a satisfying meal. Larges run around $18. As such, after tax you are looking at close to $20 for lunch, a difficult regular proposition. As such, while Capo's hoagies do a decent job of scratching the Italian itch, the subsequent dent in the wallet renders them solely occasional treats for me. read more

I love how cozy, clean, and quaint this deli is, and to top it off, a bar inside as well! Customer service was one of the best I have experienced. The Milano was and portion is very generous. Ordering online was a breeze (although I didn't find anywhere to add notes like dressing on the side) and mmy order was ready a few minutes before the propromised time. I decided on a small Capo Special, which included soppressata, mortadella, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and house-made Italian dressing. I also added hot cherry peppers. Had to get my glasses adjusted and was famished so I decided to stop into Capo Deli and see what they had. I was greeted immediately and upon noticing I was a bit overwhelmed with the menu was asked if it may first time there. I laughed and was like is it that obvious? The server was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Upon hearing my order (Steak Me Home Tonight - subbed provolone cheese for the Cooper Sharp normally included), my server said they recommend fries as a side with hot subs and I am so happy I said yes! All of my food was seasoned perfectly! My only complaint is that the sizing is misleading because I asked for a 6in and the contents were closer to a foot long. Visited this location for the first time today I've seen their Instagram ads for a long time was in the area decided to stop. Of course, when I told my friends I was stopping. I got a list. Ended up getting four different sandwiches several desserts a drink. I arrived after lunch. It is a small location, but the person greeted me was very polite. The location is very clean very neat. and smelled great. Person helping me was very polite very patient with me, especially since it was my first time there which is always great when you don't feel rushed or someone rolls her eyes when you don't know what you're doing. I tried your Thanksgiving sub, which is awesome, the Cubano, which is also awesome. Had a custom sub and the chicken salad all great. The desserts were super everyone loved them. And I got to try all since I bought and picked them up I got a passionfruit margarita I didn't realize it had ghost tequila in it, which was a surprise, but it was very good. I can get an Italian meat + egg sandwich on a hoagie roll but no cold non-egg hoagie. There was lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc... all put out in the chiller containers so it is not like the typical cold hoagie toppings were not ready and out. I am thinking this is pure insanity. I pulled up Door Dash and shared that you can clearly make a cold hoagie bc I can order one via Door Dash. The response was ok, order on Door Dash. LOL Sure for $5+ more for an already $16 small hoagie. So let me get this straight, you are telling me you can't make a cold hoagie but I can order it via DD in front of you, you will make it immediately and I pay more? Can I please speak with a manager? A lady who barely speaks English, claims she called the owner, Ziad, who said they are not allowed to make a cold hoagie. This is beyond a freaking joke of a place! Tucked in the corner of a small food strip mall next to a Wings place, this eatery has a small entrance with limited seating where you place your order. However, if you turn the corner, you'll find an open bar and more seating. They serve Boar's Head deli meat, and their bread is incredibly fresh and chewy. We all ordered the "small" sandwiches, but they were more like what you'd expect a "large" to be. They also offer chips and bottled refrigerated beverages. The place is super clean, and the service is friendly and quick. The cashier and staff even came to our table to check on us. Solid sandwich spot! I've been to their DC location, mainly for the speakeasy, but have never actually gotten a sandwich. When I saw they opened in Tyson's, it was my chance! Because honestly I'm not going into DC for some deli meat, you feel me? I got their summer special which is a caprese and prosciutto. Was so good and really filling. In addition, we saw a few customers order their food after we had placed our order and they received their food before we received ours. Not sure what that was about and felt very unfair. Ironically, when we decided to cancel the order, the food was ready. The somewhat positive was that the sub was full of chicken but not what I would personally consider a Philly chicken sub.
