Service was great. We were easily accommodated when we requested to move to a different table away from the door ( it was cold and damp and every time the door opened cold wind blasted inside, even with the double doors). It was much appreciated. As for the food it was hit and miss. Our husbands had the short rib raviolis and-although it was flavorful, there was not enough meat inside the raviolis nor were there enough raviolis to justify the price tag. Since the sauce was extremely flavorful I forced my husband to share some of the skimpy sauce to dip my pizza crust on it. Luckily the guys had enough of the wonderful fried mozzarella and bread to not be grumpy. One tip that our whole party agreed on was that the sauce was better suited if it was paired with chunks of lobsters instead of of the stuffed short rib raviolis. I was happy with size of my thin crust pizza and it was way more than I could eat. However, I am not sure if I was actually ok with how the ingredients were divided jn the quarter a fourth of the pizza contained olives ,another fourth was the mushrooms, ,another fourth was the prosciutto and for the life of me I could not remember the fourth ingredient. I'm still ponedering whether I am a fan of this. My friend had the Marguerite pizza and she was extremely satisfied with it. As to the place itself, it's nothing fancy, it's just your typical pizza place in a strip mall. It's just ok. One thing I noticed about it is the dim lighting, but to be fair it's a normal complaint for most eating establishments. We all had to break out our IPhone flashlights to read the menu. I wish most eateries would have a dimmer switch by your table so that when you are ordering, there is sufficient lighting as you read the menu and when done can be adjusted to mood lighting. Terrible service and an incredibly small portion--just five ravioli, and not even jumbo-sized. Meanwhile, everyone else at the table received generous, overflowing portions of dishes like cavatelli, capellini, and chicken parmesan. With about 30 seconds of chewing per bite, my entire meal was gone in about two and a half minutes. The waiter seemed to be doing his best, but he was clearly stretched too thin with too many tables. The service felt disorganized--we were first asked for drinks (which is standard), then only appetizers. After finishing those, we had to flag him down just to place our dinner order. I haven't gotten to go on a food tour through Italy yet (maybe one day) but this is my favorite italian restaurant I've been to so far! I got the vermicelli/ linguine and clams with the white wine sauce and it was unreal. I would eat it every single day if I could. It also comes with a red sauce option and I want to try that one out next. They didn't skimp with the clams and I left full with a takeout box that I was very excited to eat later! I also got to try my first aperol spritz and it was great. For dessert, my friend and I opted for cannolis and they were amazing. Our server was super attentive and knowledgeable, he couldn't have done any better. The ambiance was nice and dark and quiet. Definitely want to come back here again soon! read more

Lee is such an awesome host while he bartends. The Margherita pizza, the wings, the calamari, the desserts are all quite amazing. We usually go there late evening after 10 PM and luckily it stays open until 1 a.m. or so on weekdays. My husband and I were around the area and recently dined at this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was very bright, beautiful and welcoming. Our food was delicious and I would say the food alone was a very high end experience, everything tasted so fresh and well prepared. However, the level of customer service did not meet expectation. Our waitress seemed inattentive which was very disappointing. Simple requests took far too long such as refills and no Parmesan cheese with our dish, making our experience frustrating. I really had high hopes for this place and was looking forward to it because of all the good reviews. Upon entering, I was immediately turned off. The place itself seems kind of dirty, stuffy & dusty. We ordered arancini, which I was very excited to try, but I'm not sure why they tasted strange. They tasted like they were either made a while ago and frozen and have freezer burn or tasted kind of soapy. For our entrees we ordered rigatoni with eggplant (added meatballs) and my husband had a pesto shrimp dish (I don't remember the name). These were surprisingly pretty good. I liked the big chunks of eggplant but I do think there was too much sauce. I also ordered a cocktail, it was their Palermo and I'm so sorry, it was horrible. We had to ask the waiter to take it back and I just got a glass of wine. Overall I just really don't think it was worth it, each of our dishes were $30. I've dined at a Pazzo numerous times - finally remembered to write a review! It's definitely a favorite in my family for casual friendly Italian; especially their gluten free pizza. I love the Melanzane Parmigiana e Capellini (eggplant Parmesan) as well as their salads. One minor issue: I feel like the salads (especially the house salad) are overpriced for the serving size - but that's certainly not a deal breaker. It was a typical Saturday night but when I asked for regular cheese not vegan cheese I got told how busy it was. It wasn't a huge difference from sprinkling one cheese rather than the other and I wasn't sure what I was getting since it was so busy he couldn't promise the change. I ultimately received the regular mozzarella cheese. My husband and friend both had the gnocchi and my daughter the pasta. Everything was fine but nothing was great or anywhere near exceptional. The bread was ok and served with butter, Parmesan cheese and oil. I was never asked if we wanted a soda or anything to drink but water was on the table. Very interesting experience here. We walked in before the kitchen closed maybe 10 minutes before so we were instructed to sit near the bar and order off the bar menu that would have been fine if I was not vegan and the bar menu was very limited and it's options. At first we had a server who was clearly displeased with our diverse group. We were granted a new server who was much nicer. He was very helpful and insured that I got some good vegan food. Ended up eating the fried artichokes which were wonderful. I just wish that our first server and customers were not so rude and did not stare at us the entire time. read more

I've only been here for work dinners before so tried it on my own dime last night and it was worth every penny! The house Pinot Grigio was quite good and reasonably priced. We shared some sort of tuna tartare salad as an app and it was delicious! Tuna was very fresh. The kitchen split it into two plates which they didn't need to do, but it was very nice of them. Gluten free pasta is available here so I had a pasta dish with pesto and shrimp. The pesto was soooooo yummy! My husband had the veal special, and it was so large he had leftovers. For dessert we shared the mousse. They put the biscotti on the side for my husband to make it gluten free for me. I don't usually like mousse, but this was the lightest fluffiest mousse I've ever had! Our server was wonderful and very nice. The restaurant was very busy but noise level was fine. read more

Hosted a VIP business dinner last night at Pazzo Pomodoro and it was wonderful! The atmosphere was lively and it is a family-owned business and you can tell because of the wonderful service you receive. Warm and friendly and even the non-family staff treats you like an old friend and welcome guest. Even outside our party you could see others enjoying the food and atmosphere. Live music in the bar too! Definitely could see that there were lots of regulars. The food was authentic. Great margherita pizza and Greek salad to start, then on to fresh homemade pastas that could not be beat. Good wine list with reasonably priced wines. Don't see it on the menu? Ask and chances are they'll custom make a dish for you if it is in their wheel house. Ended the evening with Limoncello shots. Can't wait to go back with friends! read more

First time trying the food and I took my order to go as the place was packed on a Saturday night. As I have had pappardelle Alla Bolognese (Ragu) in Italy, what I had was nothing recognizable other than the fresh basil leaves on top of the dish. Pappardelle is usually freshly made 1/2" wide flat noodles and what I got were lasagna noodles from a box. Although the amount of ground beef was generous the sauce was bland. Sad to say I had to take out some Parmesan to give it some flavor. I would say the blandness would be great for those that can't take any spice or sodium. It was piping hot which was in contrast to the arancini which definitely seemed like it came out of the freezer and got minimum time in the oven. It was barely room temperature in the center of the rice ball but the melted mozzarella and little bit of sauce that it was baked in was better. I am not sure if I will go back as it was disappointing and since the sauce was bad the pizza will have similar issues. If I were to give it another try I would opt for something not served with a red sauce. Also the credit card fee that was not mentioned at all until I saw it on the credit card receipt was another thing I did not appreciate. If you are going to punish people for using credit cards you need to put a sign by the register and on the bill as the staff are unreliable to convey this information. read more

Got the equivalent of the chicken Parm - was dry and overcooked. Got the Quattro pizza and they literally threw ham on one pile, olives in another pile,mushrooms in another pile. It wasn't the best pizza that I've ever had. The reason I'm rating a three stars instead of less is because we have eaten here before and the food was a bit better but I don't agree I t's a four star restaurant.
