Really good upscale chain. We come heee a few times and it's great. Easy to get reservations, even for larger parties. Food is great and prices are reasonable. I found on street parking, but lots of garages nearby.

We decided to try North Italia because it was close to the hotel and we are suckers for Italian food. We didn't have reservations but still got seated right away. We got the grilled bread and good olive oil, bolognese, and spicy rigatoni vodka. The grilled bread with good oil was yummy but the balsamic maybe on the side would've been more ideal in my opinion. It kinda soaked too much into the bread. Our pastas were really good though. We both cleaned our plates. Definitely would come here again.

Easy spot for our entire family to enjoy! Food is great, usually unless they get busy. Kid friendly. Parking available in the garage with 2 hour validation Love the pizza, pasta and garlic bread is a must

It's been years since dining at North Italia. Went for dinner on a Saturday in the restaurant was pretty packed both inside and outside seating. Looked like homecoming was in full swing. The best thing we ordered was probably the simple salad - the oregano dressing was delicious. Aside from that, everything else was disappointing. The calamari fritti was way over battered. They look like onion rings coming out. The arugula avocado salad was super disappointing, we can make a better version at home. We tried two pastas - cavatelli and spicy vodka rigatoni. The cavatelli was super overcooked - pasta was completely mushy. The rigatoni pasta was cooked better but still not great. Our server also wasn't attentive - we had to ask for water refills multiple times and really track her down for boxes. Parking is validated for the movie theater garage and Flower Child garage.

Bar experience: It took 7 minutes before anyone acknowledged me and I was right by the pick up for drinks to go to tables so many people saw that I was there and waiting to order, once I finally did get a menu I ordered and service was quick then. 3/5 Dinner experience: We had a reservation for 17 and the servers were exceptional. Drink and appetizer orders were taken immediately, the calamari was very flavorful, and the two boards were great for the group to share. Our waitress recommended the truffle bread and that was delicious too! Everyone's entree came out at the same time, stars were eggplant parm, seafood pasta, and the branzino. I was very impressed by the service and quality for such a large party. Our main waitress even took photos for us! To top It off the tiramisu was really rich and flavorful. I'll definitely be back for a big party reservation. 5/5

Was in the area for some shopping and we stopped here for a late lunch. We started with the little gem caesar salads, which were really good. For entrees, my mom and I split a Margherita pizza. Great flavor. The crust was garlicky, light and crisp. Only complaint is that the fountain sodas are pricey!! $4.95 for a fountain soda. Our server did keep our drinks full so money well spent I guess!

We had a large party on a Friday at lunch. The lunch started great with attentive service. We placed our food order and ended up waiting for a very long time for our food. We were told after about 45 minutes that the pizza crust wasn't cooking right and that person had to choose something new. Truly not a big deal but why did it take 45 minutes for them to communicate this with us? They just opened so of course there were kinks in the kitchen they are still working out. Once received, the food was delicious and the manager was kind and took care of us over the wait. We will definitely return in a few months once they get into a good groove!

Spicy Rigatoni Vodka Pasta - delicious, but definitely has a kick to it.

This is the first time I ate at this restaurant. My go to Italian is Alta Strada in Merrifield. The pasta and salad there is absolutely delicious. But decided to try this place as I've heard rave reviews. And I was not disappointed. The restaurant is quite spacious with both outdoor and indoor seating. Being in the heart of Boro brings its own special charm to the restaurant. The server was very sweet and attentive throughout. This place does offer half size portions for salad and pasta. However, they won't do half size is we choose the vegetarian option, which is a bummer. Why they can't make half size of a pasta with no meat, surprises me. That was the only thing I didn't quite like. Here is everything we ordered: - Zucca Chips: this is so good. It's fried Zucchini in chips format. It's so good. - Ceasar Salad: we got half size of this salad but wasn't a big fan. They brought out big portion of lettuce which was hard to eat. At Alta Strada, they chop the salad and mix the dressing really well. Here it was eating a big piece of lettuce, which I didn't quite enjoy. - Spicy Vodka Rigatoni Pasta: this was quite good. Definitely spicy. So if you can't handle too much spice, just be aware. This was delicious, but the spice got to me afterwards. And they didn't provide half size for this. - Tiramisu: probably one of the best Tiramisu I've had. It's delicious. Love the small chocolate pieces that come on top of it. Definitely try it. Overall, a great restaurant. Definitely on the pricey side. But the food and ambiance were great.

Mom and I had a great time at lunch! We had 12:45 PM reservations on a Saturday. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday afternoon, most patrons were sitting outside. We sat inside with a nice view of outside. Our server, Daniel, was very accommodating, friendly, explained the menu options to us, and served us with a smile. He checked on us frequently, which was a nice touch. The food was delicious! Fresh produce, house-made pasta, and extremely flavorful. It's a bright, well decorated and well lit restaurant. Full bar! Portions are small compared to other Italian restaurants we have visited, so plan to have a few options if you are extremely hungry. There is plenty of paid parking in the area. We used Park Mobile and parked right across the street. There's also covered garage parking available. We will definitely return!

I always have a great meal here (and the Reston location)! Their food is always fresh and drinks are on point. My go-to is the truffle bread - I don't even like truffle that much but crave this bread. I also crave the Italian farm - the sweet, salty, and crunchy in a salad is perfection. The spicy vodka is a staple, and they do it very well - perfect amount of spice! I love arancini and theirs is pretty good. They have one of my favorite tiramisu's!! The service is usually fabulous; some are better than others but that anywhere you go! Ambiance is a chic but cute vibe - you could make it romantic or just have a regular lunch with the family. They have outdoor seating too and I love sitting out there on a nice day. You do have to pay for street and outdoor lot parking; but if you park in the garage, they validate! **video: drinks!! / italian salad/ *new* lasagna verde pizza (bolognese on the side) / caesar salad / margherita pizza (prosciutto on the side) / spicy vodka pasta / strozzapreti (parm cream pasta) / tiramisu + apple butter cake

Great Italian restaurant in Tysons, VA. The pizza was great, everything tasted very fresh. The appetizers I ordered were the bread and oil and the eggplant Parmesan which were both great. Lots of wines/drinks to choose from as well. The inside gives a very cozy feel. I would highly recommend this place.

Walked in on a Friday evening and luckily found seating at the bar area so I didn't have to wait. Service was quick and friendly. The bar tender recommended the popular dishes which was helpful. Meatballs: so good! Cheesy, meaty, perfect. Spicy rigatoni: definitely has a kick but not too much. The vodka sauce was creamy and the pasta was perfectly cooked and bouncy. Not al dente which was good because I like my pasta fully cooked.

We were looking for a place to grab dinner before a movie and this restaurant was right across the street from the theater. Ambiance: Lovely and inviting. Plenty of lighting from the windows. Cozy decor. Food: I ordered the Braised Short Rib Marsala which consisted of short rib with beech mushroom, snap pea, heirloom carrot, and black truffle risotto. Fantastic presentation. The short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful. For dessert, we got the bombolini, a type of Italian donut. They were filled with lemon curd lying on a bed of thin blueberry sauce. I am normally not a fan of fillings in donuts (this was ordered by my dining companion) but it certainly didn't hurt to try it! Service: Excellent. Parking: We were not sure about the parking situation in this area as we have never been. We first approached the garage right next to the theater but it was $4/hour with a max of $8, we decided to look elsewhere. We also didn't know if the theater would validate parking. (After leaving the showing that evening, we found out that they do.)

Delicious Indian restaurant - great happy hour and brunch spot!…read more The happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Fri is an amazing deal. I ordered 2 dishes and a cocktail for under $20! I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. There's a good balance between traditional Indian dishes and Western fusion with a hint of American flavors/presentation. My favorite stand-outs: - Aam Chat Papri with crispy Papri pita like chips with mango, chick peas, and potatoes smothered in yogurt and chutney, and topped with spicy garam masala mix - Chana Bhatura with chick pea curry and fluffy, bubbly fried bread. Large portion. - Spinach and Artichoke Fritters - Crispy bite-size balls filled with creamy spinach artichoke dip, 4 come in an order and perfect for sharing! - Aloo Bravas - Crispy, diced potatoes very reminiscent of the Spanish Patatas Bravas with aioli sauce and mild masala spicy kick - Butter Chicken - My friend enjoyed it, solid full entree size. I didn't order or try it in, but it looked pretty tasty and could easily why she made a happy empty plate! - Nutella Bread Pakora - Tastes like a bites-size Nutella fried donut! So good we ordered another one! - Helluva Hallawa Trio - I enjoyed sampling the 3 types of Hallawa, ranging in savory (carrot) to more sweet and milky (my favorite). - Mango Lassi - The sweetness of the mango lassi helped to balance out and absorb the spiciness of the food. - Masala Chai - Great ending to a meal, perfectG caffeine pick me up! Paired well with the Nutella bread Pakora. The other dishes on the menu were fun to try, but would probably skip and save room for my faves: - Aloo Sabzi and Katchuri - The dense hollow shell katchuri (similar to a round empanada) made of dhal lentil smothered in Aloo potato curry sabzi was very filling and dense. After a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. - Egg Burgi and Paratha - The masala spicy scrambled egg on paratha flatbread was kind of bland and a very small portion. - Mango Mimosa - While the mimosas were only $4, it was quite tangy and didn't pair well with the meal. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! The masala potatoes paired well with the dosa. I wasn't a fan of the Sambar. Based on the glowing brunch and happy hour experience, I would come back to try the lunch buffet with an early start right when it opens!

I figured I'd like masala lemonade, and hadn't seen it on a menu before, the server cautioned me and offered a sample before I order it. sorry to say ew yuck but we tried it respectfully. I was verrryy shocked by the taste, almost tasted ritualistic it was so oddly gross. Lol Best service I've ever had at an Indian restaurant and food was delicious per usual of Indian food. One of my top 5 foods. Go, enjoy!!!

Really enjoyed my time at circa!…read more Before coming, I perused the menu and knew that I wanted the chicken paillard. It was something I'd never heard of and looked like it had Angel hair pasta, arugula, and the chicken looked interesting. It looked fried, but not in a typical way. So when I got my meal, I was so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the chicken was. It was a light crispy, airy texture to the skin. And the pasta was delicious - so good. It had mushrooms and sweet peppers along with the butter sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed it! I also ended up getting a mocktail which was a spicy faux margarita. Not bad! It had a nice ambience for groups, and our server was super helpful. He made a lot of good suggestions and made sure to check on us. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and looking for a nice dining experience!

I understand that you can't as a restaurant work on the same menu all the time, but they take away almost all staples and replace them with something very questionable. So far I tried 2 items and both were with major issues. First I tried Grilled trout entree and trout was bland with nice farro side . Whole dish seems underwhelming and had a lack of bonding sauce or flavor profile to make it a dish. Second time I had Salmon salad and this was not good at all. Salmon itself was perfectly cooked as a medium rare on my liking and champagne dressing in mixed greens was good. But I salad had cold and slimy potato pieces and big chunks of blackish marinated onions,it was hard to eat and even unpleasant. I'm really disappointed, because Thai shrimp salad was absolutely best salad in DC area as well as other very popular dishes from old menu. Please bring back Thai Shrimp!!

The staff explained they prepare omakase for a set number of guests, so they couldn't accommodate us last-minute. That said, the manager and his staff, our wonderful server completely turned the experience around with their kindness. They comped part of our meal, brought out desserts for my husband's birthday, and even treated me to a mocktail. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night feel really special. The service was warm and attentive, and we still had an amazing time. I've already booked omakase for next week and can't wait to come back! The place has great vibes. Highly recommend!! I usually am enamored with speakeasies, but it was really hard to love this one…read more 1. Reservations - I've been with OpenTable and other restaurant online booking systems for decades but this is a first for me. They have two separate OpenTable listings (as noted in other reviews). I was clear in that i just wanted an after work chill happy hour. I booked for 4:30. After promptly showing up at the wren for my 4:30 appointment I was told, Naisho room doesn't open until 5 pm.... So why did you let me book for 4:30?!?! No explanation. No apology just "you're early..." 2. I promptly dropped $70 for drinks and an appetizer at the Wren bar to hold me and my guests over. It wasn't bad but that's not what I was hoping for... at 4:30. 3. The service to the speakeasy was great. The "gym stag" had our 4:30 and let us in at... 5:03 pm... 4. The waitress inside the speakeasy was super awkward and off putting. She really needs a class on etiquette. I ordered quite a bit right off the bat but my guests slow roll throughout the experience and she didn't seem too happy with that. Taking away our menus doesn't encourage us to order either. You charge $22 for one tea sandwhich but can't afford to print out more menus? The menus were also pretty dingy and I hand sanitized after using them. 5. Food. Was mid at best. Not at all authentic Japanese. I had the oyster shooter, temaki, Wagyu toast, Wagyu quesadilla, and mocktail. The oyster shooter was too sweet. And you could only taste the oyster and caviar at the end. Mostly as an aftertaste. There was a "too sweet" aspect to most of the food. The temaki was okay and I liked the crunchy bits but they went too far with the plastic wrap on the seaweed. The plastic wrap gave me Japanese 7-11 onigiri vibes. You do that if you aren't efficient enough to get the food out to guests at once and the seaweed will get soggy. I'm not sure if it was for a "fun factor" for people who are unfamiliar with grocery store onigiri in Asia but in a restaurant it should be done for you. The Wagyu toast was a HUGE disappointment. It was Sooooo sweet. I filet barely taste anything except the gross, sweet jam. And the toast was soggy and the texture of the bread felt prepared the day before and like refrigerator. It was not toasted at all. The star was the Wagyu quesadilla with beef tendon chips. It was the cheapest item on the menu and the most filling and delicious. 6. Drinks were very good. Expect about $20 a pop... $50 for the Japanese whiskey is highway robbery. Nothing really "rare." I have most bottles on the kitchen counter from the Virginia ABc or DC Costco. You can buy an entire bottle of the Japanese whiskey at Costco for the cost of one serving here. Overall, the Naisho room felt like all hype. For over $100 I was still pretty hungry. If the food tasted good I would have ordered more but I didn't think it was worth it. You get a nice view but it's the same from most of the capital one building. Same view from the brewery. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. Plenty of better happy hour spots for much much less considering if you stay for more than two hours you have to pay for parking (we did becuase, well, our reservation was at 4:30...)

Every time we come, the experience is always really good. The staff was amazing, our server was super nice, and I genuinely enjoyed my whole night here. Everything we ordered was delicious. One of my favorite things here is the seafood fried rice, or whatever the exact name is lol, but it is SO good every single time. I also tried some steak this time and for somebody who really doesn't even eat steak like that, it was actually really good. And the crème brûlée? Top tier. Definitely one of my favorite desserts there. The atmosphere is always nice for a date night, birthday dinner, or just wanting to go somewhere that feels a little more upscale without being uncomfortable. I'll absolutely be back again. Also, if you've never been before, the restaurant is on the second floor and there is garage parking available, which is nice.

We had a 1:00 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly. The setting was lovely with a slight corporate feel but still elegant and welcoming. The service was excellent from start to finish. A complimentary cinnamon scone and a rose for Mother's Day was a thoughtful touch. The whole wheat bread was hearty and delicious and we also enjoyed a wonderful French rosé. Although there was a special Mother's Day menu, we ordered from the regular menu. The Chilean sea bass was prepared Hong Kong style in a flavorful broth with sautéed spinach and pickled ginger. The flavors were excellent, although I think the fish was slightly overcooked because it was a little tough. 4/5. The stuffed shrimp with crab was light, fresh, and not overly buttery or oily, which I appreciated. 4.5/5. The banana foster butter cake was extremely sweet. Even between the two of us we could only finish half, although it was beautifully presented with freshly prepared pistachio ice cream and whipped cream. 4/5. Overall this was a very nice dining experience with attentive service, thoughtful details, and good food.

I ordered a couple of cocktails off the menu - Lychee Martini was very boozy and didn't have much flavor. The Flor de Cana Pineapple Mojito is interestingly on happy hour, but not on the main cocktail menu. It was okay and not that flavorful. Honestly, I wouldn't mind shelling out $20+ cocktail if it packed a punch with flavor and well-balanced. These cocktails didn't measure up. The Cauliflower Taco was truly bite-size and was the teeny tiniest taco I've ever seen. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor, so I was glad that it was gone within 2 bites. After spending $60+ on 2 drinks and tiny taco, I was ready to go home disappointed. Our server was friendly. Maybe I didn't order the right drinks? I might come back to try another round of drinks, but not sure if I'm willing to dish out another $20+ cocktail.
