The weekend happy hour brought us in as we were looking for somewhere near the beltway to meet up with some friends for a light dinner as they passed through the area. The happy hour menu is expansive! We got the Crispy Birria Tacos, Nashville Crispy Chicken + Pickle Skewers, Sticky Korean Ribs, Charred Corn + Avocado Dip, Crispy Rice Sushi, and Szechuan Shrimp + Pork Dumplings. I had everything except the seafood, but everything I sampled was of the same high quality and very tasty. Each dish was plenty for four people to split. The only downside was the service. The servers were taking care of tables all over the restaurant, not just in a single section, so it took a while to flag down our server for the bill and to correct a billing error. read more

Okay, I've been to Earls a couple of times now and overall, I really like it. My boyfriend and I decided to eat and have drinks at the bar to the left of the entrance instead of sitting in the middle of the restaurant and I'm glad we did. The main dining area can get super busy, lively and loud, but this section was dimly lit, a little more tucked away and just had a much better vibe for us. Our bartender Aaron was awesome! Super friendly, attentive and made really good drinks. The food was good as well and consistent with my prior visits. Nothing overly complicated here. We had one complaint regarding one dish and she went back to the kitchen and got us an accommodation that was more than what was asked. This place is very inconsistent, hit or miss. I have been here a few years times and had a decent experience at the bar with the bartenders giving great service and drinks. This time i decided to try again on a Sunday afternoon. The bartender Aaron was great, very friendly and attentive despite being busy on the rail. His drinks were great! We had oysters which were fresh and on happy hour price from 3-6. However i ordered some food to go and when i got home i discovered the chicken was not cooked all the way, still raw. Also i observed the other bartender lining the sugar on cups using her thumb, which i thought was unsanitary. Overall from my experiences here they are not good when crowded and the food is inconsistent. They are a good spot for a few drinks at the bar before you go somewhere else. read more

The restaurant is part of the Tysons Mall complex. I don't get up there enough so finding the restaurant was a bit of a challenge since I decided to park in a garage attached to the mall. The food and service were worth the trouble though. I had a sparkling lemonade with peach flavor and the Cajun blackened chicken as the entree. I wiped my plate clean it was so good. The staff knew that our group had come there to celebrate a few of our birthdays so they gave us a couple of complimentary desserts. The crème brûlée cheesecake was fantastic. I've been coming to Earls since 2017, and it's rare for a place to keep the same spark it had when you first discovered it, but Earls is definitely one of those places. From the decor and music to the service and food, everything is consistently top notch. Whether you're there for a business meeting, a quick bite, happy hour with friends, a date night, or a celebration, Earls fits every occasion, and I've done all of the above here. If you're planning to go Friday through Sunday, definitely make a reservation because it does get packed. They also have one of the best happy hours in town, so it's absolutely worth checking out. First time dining in Earl's in Tysons. Great restaurant, nice ambiance and feels upscale. Food tasted great and had surprisingly good portion sizes. The Crispy Sushi with Salmon is a must order for an appetizer. Our server was Mal, she was great and very friendly. Mal was able to remember everything we asked for and always made sure we doing okay. I'm not sure if my menu was missing a page but there was barely a cocktail menu, so it would be nice if they had more offerings. But other than that it was a great dinner experience and I will be coming back. I would love to try the Happy Hour offerings. read more

One of my favorite upscale spots in Tysons! This place consistently delivers on food, service, and overall vibe. The menu is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worth it. Standout favorites for me over time include the sushi + steak appetizer, the truffle tortellini, the spicy Calabrian pasta, and really any of the burgers. Special shoutout to the ahi tuna, which they do well in multiple forms: poke bowls, tacos, and appetizers. Service is typically attentive and efficient, which adds to the experience. The only downside is parking...it can be a bit tricky. There is free parking in the adjacent lot, but spots are often hard to find. They do offer validation for the paid garage, which is helpful. I gave Earl's a shot for a random date and there were some highs and lows. Ambiance: The outdoor patio seating was great. They have a few tables with umbrellas for cover during the day and even some lighting for nights. Food: The steak and sushi combo was interesting. The sirloin bites were small, but good, the sushi was mid - just not enough tuna on the crispy tuna rice and not enough flavor. The pesto spaghetti (Shrimp and Scallop Spaghettini) was good, but came with only two shrimp and a handful of the smallest scallops I've ever been served. The salmon entree was cooked well. Drinks: The cocktails were the highlight of the night. Several good margarita and martini variations on the menu that were perfect for the weather. Service: This was the worst part of the meal. Our server seemed to be frazzled the whole night. Twice during the meal we had our drinks delivered to the wrong table. The manager verbally apologized, but took nothing off the bill. It wasn't just our table though - we saw several of our server's tables get the wrong food or drinks. It also took a really long time to get water refilled at the table which was an issue in the heat. Verdict: 6/10. If they ironed out the kinks with service and dropped their prices by 10% on select dishes (tiny sirloin bites and subpar crispy tuna rice for almost $50 is madness), they would probably be an 8/10. I'll probably give them one more try and just avoid some dishes. read more

Had a another great brunch at Earls Kitchen + Bar last Sunday. The space has a really fun, lively vibe while still feeling comfortable enough to relax and enjoy a long meal. We love the eclectic menu. There are so many interesting options and something for everyone. Yas was our server and she was wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and always seemed to appear right when we needed something. The food was excellent. We tried the new seafood platter, which was fresh and beautifully presented, and the Korean Bibimbap was off the chain. So much flavor. Jessie (I think that was his name) the manager on duty, also took the time to help us when we mentioned we are thinking about hosting our daughter's graduation party there. He made sure we got the name of the event coordinator so we can start planning. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back again. read more

Went to Earls one evening to celebrate a friends birthday. We walked in and were greeted warmly and taken to our table. The restaurant had two dining areas one with more formal seating and one with higher bench style seating. We opted for the bench style seating as that area had a more casual vibe with TVs and music. Our waitress was super attentive and very helpful. She also made a great effort to ensure that the birthday boy felt celebrated. She out candles in the cake he ordered and a cute topper on his drink! That attention to detail was much appreciated! And as a cherry on top, she made great suggestions! For food, we started with the truffle parm fries which were a great appetizer for the table. For main course, I got a truffle tortellini and it was delicious! Everyone at our table loved their entree. The only downside about this restaurant are its prices. I think given the meal, plating, and creativity, I think it's a little expensive. For 6 people our bill was well over $400 which is a bit much in my opinion for a casual Friday dinner. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for any one to take my order, the restaurant was not that busy but plenty of help walking around. I ordered the truffle butter 12 oz ribeye $65 and a coke. The steak came first which was around 15 min. I had to ask about the coke. The steak looked great, the garlic mash was warm. The truffle butter was like 1 oz and they charged me $5 for it. Out if the 12 oz of protein, I had about 2 oz of fat. No way the steak I ordered was prime, more like choice with 2 oz of fat that I can barely cut off with the dull steak knife. I love the tortellini especially due to the cold outside, the cheesy pasta felt like a warm hug with the steak being a cherry on top. My friend enjoyed the burger and fries. Like every-time, ended the meal with the sticky toffee pudding and that was the only disappointing part of the meal; it has lost its previous charm despite being pleasantly plated. It was cold and the ice-cream too solid if that makes any sense. The two did not melt nicely together and the pudding itself tasted just ok. I sat at Earl's bar with Aaron, who was personable, knowledgeable, and technically savvy with crafting cocktails. Although I came during happy hour on a Sunday, the Lychee-Tini that Aaron crafted (not on happy hour pricing) made me willing to continue splurging at full price. He is truly the example for others to follow at Earl's. Not only was his energy and enthusiasm high, but he made me feel like Earl's needs to be my regular watering hole. The vibe here is made better by Aaron because of his attention to detail. Not only did he remember my name and the fact that I wanted my cocktails less sweet, but he took the time to chat with me between other orders. Love the bright Earl's sign near the elevators, great for pictures. Earl's is still a hit, never experienced a miss yet. Good was good per usual. This visit I ordered sticky Korean ribs some sort of spicy chicken with pickles on a kabob as an appetizer, and for main course I ordered the Tomahawk maple glazed pork chop--which came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was cooked to perfection. The ribs were pretty good,although they were tiny and you don't get many they were still pretty good. Not sure if I'd order them again. The pork chop was delicious, I do think it had a tad bit too much bacon on top... I feel like that made the chop taste more like bacon. The mashed potatoes were great--smooth and creamy. Broccolini was seasoned wry well, but could've been a bit more tender in my opinion. Service was just OK this time. I don't know if it was the waitress or the bartender who was slow, but drinks kept taking forever. It would be 15-20 minutes before I'd realized that I never got my drink that I ordered. Every time I flagged down my waitress to inquire about the drinks, they came immediately --which is why I said I don't know if it was the waitress forgetting or the bartender moving slow. I do believe it may have been the waitress who kept forgetting, however it's a nice happy hour spot and besides the little miscommunication I would still recommend. read more

Came to Earls for a company dinner and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Nice setting with chill relaxed vibes. We started with several appetizers: two orders of Earls tenders with truffle and regular fries, the charred corn & avocado dip, and calamari. Our server asked if we were okay with dishes coming out as they were ready so nothing got cold, which we appreciated. The starters ended up arriving at the same time. The truffle fries were really good, and the tenders were good as well. I'm not usually a big fan of corn, but it paired nicely with the dip. The calamari came out lukewarm and it was just okay. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak + Truffle Tortellini (without broccoli), and it was good. I'm not a big steak eater but wanted to try something new. I ordered it medium, I wish the steak had been more tender. To drink, I had the Hugo Lemon Drop, which was perfect. For dessert the sticky toffee, yum! Overall, it was a great evening bonding with my team over good food, good drinks, and great vibes. I would return. read more

Like fool's gold it is not worth the time nor effort to go I came to this place on the recommendation from many people who said it was an amazing atmosphere, Great food and affordable price.. What I found was very underwhelming food a decent price and terrible service although the decor was phenomenal. I Had my party of six and a reservation made for the day after Christmas. When I decided to go a little earlier, I was told by the hostess there were no seats available despite an empty restaurant. I let the host know I had a 7 PM reservation and magically. They were able to seat me at 6 PM I waited at the table, only receiving water for a table of six twice. Maybe if I had ordered alcoholic drinks I would've received better service or at least more times for the server to stop by. All of my appetizers which included two sushi rolls, chicken tenders and fries and dumplings came out at the exact same time as my Burger and the food that everyone else at the table ordered. Beyond coming out at the same time it was cold so much so that we had to send the fries back to be remade as well as two of the three hamburgers. To top off this horrible experience the chicken tenders never came out. The only saving grace is that the server was beyond apologetic when informed about our lack of service and the management decided to take off portions of the meal that were not up to standard. I would have given this place two stars if the management had at least stopped by the table to acknowledge the mistakes, although I do appreciate them taking care of portions of the bill. read more

I went to Earl's with a group of 6 for Saturday brunch - had a great experience, would totally come back. The environment is sophisticated yet casual. The high ceilings and marble bars definitely give the place a swankier vibe. The restaurant is bright and open. There is also outdoor seating with small gas firepit units; these would be great options for seating in the warmer months. Saturday is their brunch special day which lasts til 3pm; they offer a limited brunch menu and 50% champagne bottles as part of the deal. If you're dining before 12pm, there is an additional 'brunch happy hour' which offers $2-3 off the brunch entrees. We had a few bottles of champagne - went with the ~$50 prosecco (most affordable on the menu) which was $25 with the brunch special. Solid selection which definitely did the trick. Carafes of juice are an additional $8 each; they offer a variety of flavors. One carafe lasted us through all 3 bottles of champagne. A few others also had some coffees and teas which they said were delicious. The food was good but not amazing. Most brunch entrees were $18 - 24 which is very affordable. I got the chicken and waffles which was really tasty. The waffles were sweet and the chicken was crispy, a little spicy, and delicious. My only knock against my dish was the portion size - wish the plate was a little bigger (others felt the same way about their entree sizes). I would get the chicken and waffles again but order a side or an app to go with it to feel satisfied. Shoutout to management and service - our waiter was personable, quick, and attentive. There was one mistake made on the bill we initially received at the end of the meal which they promptly corrected without hesitation. Overall a great experience; would gladly return. Here's the thing: the food was good, but we had such an interesting experience when it came to service. We reserved for a party of 7 and were seated at a smaller table or given the option of splitting up the party into 2 smaller tables. Truthfully I was kind of surprised those were our options considering a reservation was made in advance... But anywho, we ended up being seated and had the most enthusiastic waitress for 11am. She gave us a brief history about Earls before taking our orders for almond berry pancakes, shakshuka, benedicts, and sandwiches amongst other things. The almond berry pancakes were a hit, more cakelike than pancake like, but a sweet treat to balance out all the salt. The shakshuka itself was spicy, salty and a wonderful way to start my day. I sampled some of the potatoes from another dish and they were wonderfully crisp with a creamy interior. No one really had any complaint about the dishes they chose. The complaints did start to slowly creep in with our service though. I ordered an tiny espresso martini and there was another order for a nitro espresso martini. What was brought out, with an apology, was a tequila martini and regular sized martini. Which, not gonna complain, more alcohol for less $$$ is always a win for me! But then later in our brunch, another waiter was looking for our table in order to pay. We did pay, chatted for a bit, then our waitress came around to wish us well and to have a good day. So we pretty clearly got the message we had to leave. I truly don't think this place had the space to accommodate a large party, which is fine! I've passed this place so many times because it's in the plaza where most of the Tyson's concert series/events take place. It has outdoor seating but it's a bit cold for that, though they do have space heaters. They have plenty of seating indoors. I had the ahi tuna poke ($25) for 3oz of tuna. The menu doesn't show it, but there are options for how much tuna. $6 more for 3oz more poke. The portion on this was quite large and I only did 3oz of poke. Overall flavor was good, the person I was with got the ribeye steak (also varying price points depending on how many oz you get) and that was delicious. Perfectly cooked, tender, juicy goodness. The drinks were also quite good. I had the Smokey margarita per recommendation of the waitress. ($16.50) Everything tasted really good and had a lovely conversation. I really struggled between 3 and 4 because a lot about this place was great- I just wish I had been more impressed by the food. Ambiance is really swanky - about as nice as a place can get before you start to feel underdressed in jeans. And the fact that they achieved an elegant, classy ambiance is impressive given the sheer cavernousness of the space. It's huge. Service was also excellent. Not only were they attentive and accommodating, they also had a gracious attitude that took it up a notch. My lemondrop martini was also very nice. My problem is that the food wasn't anything special. Not bad, but kind of forgettable. And at a price point I would expect to pay for food that is memorable. It could be what I ate - vegetarian pasta at a steakhouse. And, to their credit, there was a genuine effort to put meaningful vegetarian items on the menu and not just a token, afterthought salad. I originally ordered a truffle tortellini with no no protein. Broccolini was not mentioned on the menu at all but it came absolutey smothered in bits of broccolini. These were not large stems I could pick off, but little bits that were unavoidable. Broccolini upsets my stomach terribly and is one of the few foods I genuinely cannot eat. I had to send it back. I apologized and the waiter insisted it was his fault for not flagging it. I then ended up getting a spicy pasta sans the chorizo that it normally came with, copying the other vegetarian at the table. It was fine. Maybe the chorizo would have made a difference but as it was I would say this was an adequate pasta, no more no less. My husband however, had also ordered the truffle tortellini and thought it was excellent. The one person who ordered a steak - a very large, expensive steak - didn't seem impressed. The only comment I heard him make about his food was that at one point he got a mouthful of salt. So, in conclusion, I would totally come back here if I had a reason to be in Tysons again. I would especially come back here for drinks and apps, given that my cocktail was great and the ambiance is nice. I just don't feel like the food itself was interesting or well made enough that it was worth steakhouse prices. Earl's is an aesthetically pleasing bar located in the Tyson's Corner area. It's the perfect space for cocktails after work or shopping. The decor is very modern and chic. I ordered the Korean BbQ ribs which were well-seasoned and flavorful. I also had a chance to try the calamari which was very light and delectable. I also tried the wagyu sushi and it was amazing! I don't think I've ever tasted steak sushi and the pressed rice enhanced the overall texture and taste. Because I was with a group I was able to try a variety of appetizers and two desserts. The creme Brûlée was decent, but the cheesecake was the star of the dessert menu. It was light and fluffy. Let's talk drinks, at the table we had a spicy margarita variation, a mule and a lemon drop! The drinks were so good we had to order multiple! Our waiter, Chris was very accommodating and friendly! He gave great drink recommendations and was very attentive without being overbearing.
