The mezze sampler offered a fantastic variety of fresh flavors, the watermelon and feta appetizer was refreshing and unique, and the cocktails were both creative and expertly crafted. Even the warm pita served with the dips was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was inviting, upscale without feeling pretentious, and perfect for a relaxing meal. The service was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. Agora is one of my favorite spots in Tysons when I'm in the mood for tapas. The food is consistently very good, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the décor gives the restaurant a unique feel that's perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. On this visit, we ordered the appetizer sampler, lamb chops, and the Adana kabab. Everything was excellent. The appetizer sampler is a great way to start the meal, the lamb chops were cooked perfectly, and the Adana kabab was flavorful and well seasoned. My only disappointment came at the end of the meal. We were planning to order dessert, but the kitchen had already closed. It would have been nice if our server had stopped by a few minutes earlier to let us know the kitchen was about to close and ask if we wanted to order anything else. That small bit of communication would have made the experience even better. Overall, this is still a great restaurant with delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I will say i didn't score the booth (sad) but the reason i had to update was because they changed their Anadolu Mantif *This WAS the BEST item and they changed it I was so shocked at the change in taste and texture i had to ask our waiter if it was the same??? Came here for dinner last night. Few street parking options available (didn't have to pay) as well as parking garage around the corner of the building. Seemed to be wheelchair accessible. We sat downstairs. Tables were decently spaced apart. Nice lighting overhead with glass lamps and lamp at table. We were able to get seated quickly, but typically make a reservation ahead of time. Service was attentive - great at keeping our glasses full and checking if we were ok with food or wanted to order more. The food was delicious. We ordered 4 items between two people, and it ended up being $74ish (not bad). The ŞİŞ KEBAP was very tender and juicy - cooked to a perfect medium rare. The highlight was the rack of lamb shared experience, which came with ottoman rice, and veggies on the plate. The lamb was so tender and the fat caps were grilled perfectly. It was a generous portion and great for 3-4 people to split with 9 pieces. The restaurant is lit uniquely with beautiful lamps from the ceiling, and though the restaurant was crowded, we could only hear ourselves. The stuff that the restaurant did exceptionally well for weekend brunch: the dips - they bring all of them to the table which is an interesting concept, but I think it gets you to try everything and it's only a little bit of everything. The plates are small so you can taste them without feeling like you're being wasteful. The bread is quite good. I also liked the Pide. Entrées were generally good as well. The vegetable omelette was flavorful and my husband seemed to enjoy the lamb dish. He also liked the fries/potatoes. The sucuk was well executed. Things we didn't enjoy that much were the shrimp. It's two cold shrimp and some oil which OK, I guess if you have it with some of the pita, it would be OK, but really didn't have that much flavor. Also, I thought the falafel was cold and overcooked. Perhaps that was just that instance. The one random thing that was kind of surprising was the Turkish tea pot was $18. I've never paid that much for Turkish tea. Lol. Or any tea at that. The desserts were interesting. The fried dough balls were tasty, but personally, I'd prefer the chocolate sauce on the side. The yogurt parfait was well executed and tasty. Another positive point is details in the bathroom. They must have an agreement with a company for soap and lotion. I know it's a very small detail, but it's rare that a restaurant has lotion and good lotion at that- available in the restrooms. I tried the sampler of all their dips, and I highly recommend the cacik. The other dips are good too, but this one was so light and bright; perfect way to start a meal. I came in for their weekend unlimited brunch. I highly recommend making a reservation and coming a little early to find parking. It is $48 per person for 2 hours of their brunch menu. They start you off with one of each of the Starters for the table. Then you can order whatever you'd like on the menu. The portions are pretty small as you can see in my photo. But you can order multiple of each dish per round. Their dishes do taste higher-end, which is why the price is higher. They also taste clean and not overly oily or anything like that. I came out satisfied. If you're trying to consume large quantities of protein, this wouldn't be the spot for you. We brunched on a Sunday and were one of the first tables in the restaurants since we had an 11AM reservation. Our server was nice but a bit slow on service (delivery of food and drinks). Overall, the staff was pleasant. Food on the other hand, was a different story. We had a larger table (6) yet we were only provided one set of starters. When we asked for another set, the server was a little impatient and said more was coming. Why not just drop off 2 sets to begin with? How do you drop off 2 deviled eggs for 6 people? The pide that came next was undercooked and therefore inedible. The sistavuk was dry, despite being thigh meat. The vegetable omelette was the tastiest egg dish. The sides - falafel was hard as rocks and dry, sujuk was the worst sujuk, and their "fries" are halved potatoes. When we asked for more of the marinated shrimp (which by the way is served cold), we were given 2. Just sad/unplanned portions for a large table. I had a great experience at Agora, and it easily earned a solid four stars from me. I went with a group of folks from work and we ordered a wide variety of dishes. Every single one was delicious. The grilled chicken was unbelievably tender, the lamb chops were beautifully seasoned, and the sea bass was cooked just right. For dessert, the Turkish pistachio baklava was sweet, nutty, and flaky. I also ordered the Kavun mocktail, made with honeydew syrup, non‑alcoholic coconut rum, lime, and oat milk. It was unique, refreshing, and paired surprisingly well with the meal. Their $42 bottomless option is a really good deal, especially because the first round -- a big spread of cold mezze -- comes out for the table and it's bottomless. I couldn't get enough of the Labneh Trio (especially the za'atar one) with their warm, fluffy Pide bread. The Muhammara was another favorite -- smoky and slightly sweet. The Turkish Sucuk, a hot dish, was a standout too -- spicy, rich, and super satisfying. My husband loved it and said he could've easily eaten a few more, if he wasn't already stuffed. We also tried the Bloody Marys -- they were good, but we wished they had a little more spice. I ordered the Lavender Gin and Tonic, and it was so light and refreshing -- I would've ordered another if I hadn't been so full. My husband had a few margaritas and said they were pretty strong (no complaints there!). For hot dishes, the Lamb and White Bean Stew (Kuzu Tandir) was definitely the highlight -- the lamb was tender and flavorful, and the creamy white bean purée underneath was delicious. The Chicken Shish was really nicely grilled and juicy, and the veggie omelette came out hot and perfectly cooked. You could tell each dish was made to order. We finished with the dessert spread, paired with traditional Turkish tea served in the cutest tulip glasses. I loved that the labneh made another appearance at dessert -- this time as part of a sweet version with berries. Such a fun little surprise to end the meal. Legitimately the best meal out I have had in a very, very long time. I don't like to eat out much these days because I don't think the value is there, and I write reviews even less frequently because my mama said if you don't have anything nice to say then say it behind their back and not on a Yelp review. I think the owners did a fantastic job overall and managed to nail a bit of the Old World aesthetic without coming off as old and tired. Our party was small- 3 people- and it was a Monday night, but the place was comfortably busy and our service was attentive and professional. No issues there whatsoever. Menu has clearly labelled options for all major dietary needs and I have so far not felt glutened. Wine list... typical for NoVa- you are going to get gouged, but you knew that. The tuscan red for $80 was one of the 3 "cheap" wines and was absolutely serviceable. Food... I'm going to cut right to the chase and say the shish kabob was one of the best servings of beef I have had in a very, very long time. There is no shame in being basic here- this should put Capitol Grille on notice. If you are trying to take someone out and impress the heck out of them with your internationalness and reckless indifference to wine prices, this is a great choice. If you are in the mood for something... different, but you can't quite say what that is... this is a great choice. After calling the restaurant, a gentleman by the name Yunus, actually came outside and helped us secure a spot--such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that immediately set the tone for the night. We had requested special seating that typically requires a larger party, but the team graciously accommodated us and made the evening feel extra special. Only one word can describe this restaurant, phenomenal! I happen to come in on Ein and they were super busy. I didn't have a reservation and luckily they were able to seat us. I was so glad, I didn't tell them that it was for a birthday dinner. The customer service here is top-tier. Dave (David) was our waiter he was nice and easy to talk to, he explained everything on the menu to us and how it works since it was our first visit. Food came out in a timely fashion, even though they were packed. Every single dish was amazing. The octopus was very tender and had great flavor. We also got the lamb chops and the broccolini with it was charred to perfection. Then the Kunefe was so good I couldn't stop eating it until it was gone. Ohhh what an amazing time we had last night at Agoro! Somehow we managed to snag last minute reservations for two for dinner at a high top located in front of the bar. The front desk service was very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter was well versed in the menu at Agoro which was refreshing. We ordered two cocktails to start: the Istanbul Bey #2 and the Aroma. My husband ordered the Aroma cocktail and within minutes our waiter was lighting his drink on fire! :) The drink allows for wood chips burnt into a smoke top that then goes in the cocktail glass. It was nice table side entertainment to kick off dinner. Both drinks were yummy, his more strong than mine. My only complaint was that the Istanbul bey should have been served in a short glass making it easier to drink. We only ordered three dishes since we weren't extremely hungry. The sampler spreads were incredible so I highly recommend ordering this dish to start off your meal. It comes with a basket of fresh made pita bread. The only spread I didn't know was the cod roe which I think anyone would agree is an acquired taste. Ask for a side of harissa! The brazino hot dish was the star of the night and stole the show. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The beetroot salad was good but the labneh at the bottom of the salad was overpowering and could have been plated in less quantity. Ambiance: i love the decor. So beautiful. Service: our waiter was great and attentive. The bussers were also really quick to clear our table. Overall the service was good. One thing I will say is I didn't feel very welcome as a patron. We were told they close at 4 to turn over the restaurant for dinner. They cleared everything except for the pitcher and glassware, it doesn't take long to clear the rest of the glasses and set the table. I've been at this location a few times and I will say I leave with a feeling that my patronage wasn't that appreciated. I usually go here because friends suggest it and the food is good. But with so many other Middle Eastern restaurants in Tysons, I feel they need to be more hospitable to ALL PATRONS. read more

Finally got out and tried this place after hearing about it for a couple years. Everything we tried was either great or good so not much to complain about. The service was also excellent and getting a table was no problem. Items that I tried that were great were hummus, falafel, kofte, and grilled chicken. We also tried the sucuklu flatbread, and it was a little too much cheese so I didn't like it as much as the other items. Food is very good, but be prepared to open your wallet because it's not cheap. read more
