After being seated at our table, we had the pleasure of being served by Mousa all night. He was very hospitable and quite attentive to our needs. We tried several items on the menu. Everything tasted so fresh and wonderful. And one item in particular, the Chicken Ouzi (which Mousa recommended) was fantastic! The chicken was ridiculously tender and the rice was incredibly infused with the juices of the chicken in addition to a blend of other spices. Truly an amazing dish. It was hard to hear each other. This being said, the space is very stylish and the service was great. Our server was very friendly and our food was prepared extremely quickly I got a mango martini and my GF and I split a bunch of different appetizers between us. I'll start with the positives- great food, in particular the watermelon with halloumi, pears and dates was delicious. Had 6 appetizers for 2 ppl and we were stuffed. The cocktails were top notch. Water glasses always full. Dining room was nicely decorated and noise levels weren't bad for a full house. The not so good - seated at 6:30, fed and check on the table by 7:04. They were really hustling to turn the tables to the point it was offensive. We were asked about dessert while we were still eating. Dishes were taken while we were still eating from them. Once we announced we weren't having dessert they came after us like vultures even though we were still finishing one of our dishes. This is not an inexpensive place and for a party of two I think it's fair to be able to stay for an hour. I'll give this place another try but if management is reading this, SLOW DOWN. There were 4 of us and we tried 8 appetizers, a lamb shank entree, 2 bottles of wine and 2 deserts. The bill came about $200 per couple including 20%+ tip. The food was awesome, albeit a bit expensive for the neighborhood. The servers were pleasant but a little rushed due to short staffed. We didn't get our hot bread until we were almost done with our appetizers. The lamb shank was so delicious! The owner Rabi came by at the end of the meal and we drilled him about the secret of the lamb shank. He said it was in the marinade. I hope this new restaurant survives because food is very enjoyable but too pricy for a weekly meal there. We do like to come back for special occasions! read more

We ended up going here for lunch and had a nice time! The atmosphere/vibes are amazing. They had cute Christmas decorations out front and around the interior which was so fun and holiday. I really enjoyed how the restaurant felt cozy and intimate (even for lunch!). We were hungry and wanted some Mediterranean cuisine so we ended up going to Seray. We shared a bunch of plates. The baked mozzarella was pretty tasty, but it didn't come with any pita or bread so... what? Are we supposed to eat it with a spoon as is? I asked our waiters for something and I guess they have complimentary pita. I wish they brought it out with the cheese because by the time we had it, the cheese was not as hot and melty. The chicken sliders were good, nothing too crazy or special. And the steak kebab was delicious! I loved the rice with it too. And I ended up making my own little steak kebab baked cheese pita with all the toppings--my own little sandwich. That was tasty! Again, service was fine! Service: super attentive servers and staff. Our waitress was prompt and came to check on us a few times. Food: I didn't realize there wasn't a brunch menu. Did order a beef kabob entree and it was good, but a bit overcooked as I ordered medium rare. Only a few cubes were pink. I realized it's hard to get the right temperature when the beef is cubed and not served as a steak. I was surprised to be charged $2 or hot sauce. Usually when I've asked for extra condiments, it's complimentary. My friend got the lamb shank and she loved it. I really wanted to have some dessert but was stuffed with my entree. We cracked a lot of jokes, and he even gave us complimentary desserts for someone's birthday. Ahhhh like others returned to Seray tonight for dinner.... Really it's only been a week... things were just humming there... Time to explore different things... from previous comments to we started with the fried kibbeh and because hubby adores peppers we did the red pepper dip... hubby wasn't sure about the kibbeh but then again spiced ground beef type things of this nature aren't a fav... i on the other hand was going I'm happy either way just these two items... plus the bread... oh wait we ordered a main.... then for our main we had the bronzino which came in a lemony sauce with green beans and potatoes... they did a lovely job removing most of the bones... nicely grilled... I got to devour my favorite part which was the skin... hubby really liked the tart lemon.. everything perfectly paired. Went nicely with the Chardonnay he ordered. dessert was a special for the night... not sure the name but a chocolate sponge cake stuffed with cream and fruits... shaved chocolate... OMG it was good. Hubby and I ate half of everything (except the kibbeh) and brought the rest home... sizes designed to share or for those with a hearty appetite (you decide) Add in great service and it was a amazing dinner!!!! So glad I randomly drove past here! Popped by around 845 on a pretty busy Friday night wanting to try Lebanese. Seray is located on Main St right next to Taco Bamba and has both outdoor seating and indoor seating. The restaurant is super modern with nice decor and seating. Ordered the muhamarra, labne, tabouleh, grape leaves, felafel and kibbeh for starters. The bread is freshly baked in house which is perfect for dipping. Finished with the mixed grill and lamb chops. The appetizers were all amazing and prob the best we've eaten in the DMV. Much better than Raouche, Phoenicia and comparable to Ilili. The mixed grill and lamb chops were amazing and perfectly cooked. The lamb chops were not at all gamey which is generally a concern when ordering them. Will definitely be back!! read more

First of all, this place is beautiful. The inside is classy and romantic, and the outside is a green haven. Our service was also fantastic--the waiter was sweet and really on top of everything. I had the lavender martini, and then for food we had the lebnah, kibbeh nayeh, Seray's hummus, grilled haloumi, and the liver. The kibbeh nayeh might have been the best-flavored meat of anywhere I have had the dish. I love the addition of meat to the hummus, which made it a bit more special. And the grilled haloumi with watermelon and dates was really unique and flavorful. The pomegranate sauce on the liver took away the normally pungent taste, and the lebnah was my partner's favorite. We can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu, though it will be hard not ordering any of these items again! read more

Got to check out this new lebanese spot in vienna - replaced Chopt! The interior is aesthetic and great ambience. This is a great spot for large parties. They have an extensive menu to choose from so try a little bit of everything! We ordered a glass of their lebanese wine .. thoraya cabernet. We started off with the mhammara, chicken schwarma sliders and the fatteh. Mhammara was good but not the best i've had... it is a bit more gritty but it was still delicious with the warm pita bread. The fatteh had a lot of flavor! I am not the biggest fan of eggplant, but the chick peas and pita crisps made the texture nice. I def recommend this dish to try. The chicken shawarma sliders were ok... it's just shredded chicken inside a pita bread.. it was a bit dry and nothing special. We got the mixed grill to try a variety of meats. The chicken kabob was the best. For dessert, the waiter recommended the bread pudding...but where's the bread part?? Unfortunately, it was a pile of mush and was underwhelming. Vienna has seen the arrival of several new restaurants in the last few months, and Seray is definitely a hit. Conveniently located in a shopping plaza on Maple Ave, parking is plentiful. From the outside, one would not guess that you're about to enter a beautifully decorated modern restaurant that is both sleek and comfortable. The ambient noise level is a bit on the loud side making it a lively dining experience if you're okay talking a little louder than usual. The menu offers plenty of options. The hot appetizers is a whole page of interesting dishes, many of which I had never tried before. The chicken liver was the star of the night, with an interesting flavor and dippable with the warm pita bread. Food came out fast. Everything was fresh and tasty. A couple of dishes were heavy on the lemon so be sure to taste before squeezing more on. Everything we tried was very good to excellent. A slight snafu, we ordered lamb medium rare but it came well done. The lamb was tender so we didn't mind or bother to correct. The bread pudding dessert was interesting, not what we know as bread pudding but very good. Service was excellent. From host to server everyone was friendly, polite, and attentive. Price is on the high side. Appetizers are around $9-22, entrees are about $26-45, and dessert around $12. Overall, Seray offered a lovely evening and brought back some excitement to eating out again. They just opened so i think they are working out some kinks with new staff, pacing, etc. - but the place is beautifully decorated, the owner is friendly and seems excited for their opening week and the future that lays ahead , and the food is very good. Our server was very helpful in making some recommendations since I was not familiar with all the dishes on the menu and there are quite a few I am eager to go back for! I had the beef tartare which came with this delicious whipped garlic - I mean I could chase away a vampire with my breath right now - but it was a great pairing and went well with the hot, fresh pitas it was served with. I also got the chicken tawak, very flavorful and I highly recommend with the rice so you can mix in all the sides with each bit of chicken - just a really good combo! My dining partner had the Grilled Salmon which was nicely spiced and perfectly cooked. The ambiance inside the restaurant reminds me of the bar scene in the movie Passengers (2016) and the service was immaculate. Our waitress was lovely and super attentive. We ordered the chicken shawarma sliders, calamari, and the mixed grill kabob as our main/appetizers. They were all extremely tasty, but the standout was the sliders with garlic sauce on the side. The calamari was a little salty for our liking but still very fresh and worth the try! Out of all the meats in the mixed kabob grill, our consensus was the steak was the best one (will definitely order that again!). We couldn't leave without trying the dessert where we ordered the chocolate lava cake (really good and standard), and the ashta (wasn't our favorite but definitely try it if you're feeling adventurous!) The meat platter was again just ok, and comes with rice mixed with vermicelli but no vegetables or salad, they also did not provide any butter/olive oil/sauces for dipping bread.
