What an amazing dinner experience. Dino was our fantastic server on our first time here. He made excellent recommendations and even brought a complimentary mint lemonade. Everything we tried was delicious. We did family style so we could share everything and it was all delicious. The main entree we got was branzino. It was cooked perfectly with yummy potatoes and green beans. I got a watermelon margarita that was scrumptious and my friends sangria was superb. Seray has really good lamb shank.  That alone would make me come back.  It is really tasty and a generous portion.  We also enjoyed the shrimp and the hummus.  The seared haloumi was served over thinly sliced watermelon which added a sweet crunch but I missed it being a little more melted.  For dessert we had the baklava and the chocolate lava cake with ice cream.  Both were good.  The service was very friendly and attentive.  They did clear the plates very quickly which, for us being sauce people, we had to catch and hold on to.  For, wherever there is really nice hot pita and a good sauce, a plate should never go away too soon.  The décor is elegant with glass cases filled with interesting objects that separate the main dining room from a couple of smaller areas filled with larger tables for group dining.  The only problem we had when we were there was that it was very loud and thus really hard to hear conversation.  I was really happy when they at least turned off the raucous holiday music which did not seem appropriate for finer dining.  The lot often gets crowded but is right out front and there is more parking at the end of the center towards the back read more

Beautiful spot and absolutely packed on a weeknight! The food was good but not amazing. The service was soooo fast they rush you in and out. I tried the fried kibbeh app which was ok but kind of dry. The baked cheese app was simple but a lot tastier! I also tried the beef kebabs and asked for medium but they arrived more so medium well. They were good but not as high quality as some other kebab places in Nova. The serving size for the entrees also was kinda small. Our waiter was great, the ambiance was nice. Food is good, only it's a big small portions for the price your paid. I got falafel (4 pieces) which were $11 and a side of rice. There aren't a ton of veg options for dinner. I wanted the falafel sandwich, but was told they could not make it at dinner time. The only annoying thing is that whenever it is someones birthday, they blare happy birthday over the loud speaker. It played twice. No need for that. read more

The experience would be better if they give you the time to enjoy the food. I have never felt so rushed at any other restaurant. I will not be exaggerating when I say that the waiters are literally snatching away the serving dish from one end while you are trying to serve the food to your plate from the other end. And you have to stop the waiters from taking away the half finished plates and drinks not just once but multiple times. Given the small serving size of their items, you would want to at least eat all of whatever small portions are served before the waiters whisk away the plates. Also, they slap the check on the table along with the dessert, because they want you out of there as soon as possible, and don't expect you to order another dessert. Also, the place is too loud and the tables are too close. You have to literally yell to have a conversation or to place the order. All in all, not a great experience at all, especially for the price you pay. The food quality is decent, but you are so stressed trying to save your food from taken away and trying to have a conversation, that it totally spoils the experience. read more

I don't know how long they had be open but it seemed like a well-oiled machine. The ambiance was modern and green and felt like DC, not Vienna VA! Our server, Natalia explained everything nicely, even though we had a general grasp of the menu! She was very accommodating, it seemed like everyone was there to help. The owner, while we didn't meet him personally, was there with a smile greeting guests and held the door open for us. The food from hummus & beef tenderloin, tabouleh, kabob, was great to share. We went with a group of 4. Unfortunately they aren't big sharers so we split our order into two and two. My husband and I got the hummus, the fettah, halloumi, and the beef shawarma. All of it was really good. The fettah could use more eggplant but the crispy pita and sauce that came with it was so tasty and an awesome texture. The halloumi is interesting. It's a small bite with watermelon, pear, and date. Maybe a little too much fruit flavor. The beef had a lot of warming spices and I made a little sandwich with the pickles and onions it was served with. The warm bread that comes to the table was delicious. We actually went to Albi earlier this week so it was a banger week for middle eastern food. My husband said he liked Seray better. I would probably give the slight edge to Albi. We also got some drinks. The blueberry coconut margarita was really tasty. My husband liked the sangria. Drinks were a little on the pricey side. The space is quite small, and when crowded, it loses the upscale ambiance that's advertised. The noise level is high, and the wait staff are in a constant maze weaving in and around tables. The bar could have been more inviting with proper lighting, but on our visit, it was dim and unwelcoming. The food was generally good but leaned heavily on garlic. The calamari was tender but overly salty, and the Fatoush salad lacked the expected herbs. Another dish featured herbs that were roughly chopped rather than finely prepared. On a positive note, the black napkins were a nice touch. One of my pet peeves is lightweight silverware in a restaurant that positions itself as upscale with premium pricing. I prefer a substantial knife and utensils that match the dining experience. read more

Went here recently and was pleasantly surprised. I generally don't bother going to restaurants in the Vienna/Fairfax area, but this was decent. I love Mediterranean food- we got the tabbouleh, the shanklish, the makanek sausage, and the gambas (shrimp). The tabbouleh was fantastic- not too much bulgur. The gambas were also good. The makanek sausage was decent, but the shanklish was not my favorite thing, so that I would not re-order. Great service, too. read more

It's rare to be able to get outside of DC and find such a cool/trendy place that makes you feel like you're in another city. It was a sort of NYC-Euro vibe to it. I feel this place "elevated" the Vienna restaurant scene. The concrete panels are super sleek, the couches are comfy, lighting is masterfully done, the bar is modern, and the bathroom design is amazing. I wish more Vienna restaurants looked like this; makes you want to dress up to go out! I can tell they spared no expense with the design. Doesn't feel like you're in Vienna VA. I didn't have a good experience, although am the one who recommended the place for a birthday party! Some of my food came cold and when the took it to reheat it the brought back less than warm, they served pita bread when I asked don't you serve olive oil and zaatar with it the waitress said not anymore!! Third they refused to split the check because we r more than 10 which I never heared that reason before! When the brought the birthday dessert they charged us for it and it wasn't complimentary as many places do which I would understand but with being that overpriced as well for that quality of food, I don't think so! Went to Seray with 2 of my friends last night and the food was fabulous - EXCEPT the "spinach pie" which was not a pie as expected but 4 small dry baked "dumplings." The filling was pure spinach and was very strong. There was a thick wheat covering, not the filo as expected. What a shame that this was such a disappointment. We mentioned this to the waiter. The other dishes we had were the pomegranate molasses green salad, shrimp, eggplant spread (babaganouch), chicken sliders and all were delicious. The service was very slow, but we attributed that to growing pains since just opened. They tried wrt the ambiance and most of the parking lot was covered. read more
