Menu - Digital menu board in a food court setting features a list of Middle Eastern dishes such as chicken shawarma, beef/lamb gyro, steak and cheese, falafel wrap, and crispy sandwich, with prices. It also offers bowls like lamb mandy, shawarma chicken, and fried tilapia fish, along with options to make your own bowl with sides. The menu includes drinks like bottled water and soda. The display emphasizes that customers can come with fries and customize their bowls with any side of their choice.

I don't usually leave reviews for mall spots, but I figure I may as well bite. I was at Tysons mall earlier this week attending an event, and stopped by food court at Tysons near the AMC theater. Needless to say, there were no good options to be had. There was a 5 Guys, but why do I wanna eat that all the time. I decide to support local business, so I eventually rolled the dice with Marhaba. Server or guy at the counter was nice to me and he gave me a little of everything (mixed bowl) with chickpeas and also I opted for the Lamb Mandy, which was the oversized lamb piece, second from the right. Turns out not so a good idea. I will rate up one star, as service was good and server was friendly. He asked if it was to go, then paused in spooning the sauce and actually provided a separate cup just for that. So that deserves praise and thanks. Unfortunately, the food as a whole was largely a debacle, and to be fair it is unlikely to be salvageable no matter the effort made. Lamb sauce was largely just liquid fat. Lamb chunk was covered in a thin wrapper of fat which was very hard to take out. I tried to eat only the inside, healthy dark-brown lamb pieces which were not fat. But it was hard to separate it, and after a day the sauce was thrown out as was not worth warming it up. Overall, for the 20$ I spent here, I got back maybe a quarter of what it was worth. Because I threw out all the fat, and most of the lamb with it. The bowl was passable and it was just not terrible. It was ok. Supporting local business is a passion of mine, but in this case it was a bust. Again, I want to be gracious and so I rate up in this review. I likely won't be back here, however.

I have eaten here a couple times, and for a food court restaurant this stands out for having better than food court food. Today I had the chicken wings, which is one of the best wings I have ever had. Very extra crispy, flavorful, very good. But beyond the wings, try out their lamb, fish and other dishes for not so food court food.

The image shows a foil takeout container filled with fried meats, including pieces of chicken and possibly lamb, alongside chopped vegetables and herbs such as parsley and green onions. The food appears freshly cooked, with crispy textures on the fried items and vibrant green herbs adding freshness. The container suggests a meal typical of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine, served for takeout or delivery.

Upon coming to the food court, I was deciding what to get and just randomly chose this place. The food, wow, was sooooo good. I got two of the chickens and they were bursting with flavor once I took a bite. The rice was well cooked and all of the other add ins had so much flavor too. The service was great as well. The lady who had helped me was really kind and nice. Would totally revisit this place!

The image shows a round, foil takeout container filled with a serving of chicken curry topped with a yellowish sauce, accompanied by chopped greens and shredded lettuce. The container is placed on a multicolored surface, suggesting a casual dining or takeout setting. The food appears freshly prepared, with the greens and lettuce providing fresh side components to the main dish.

Yummmmm. I can't believe this is in a mall food court. I can see this making the most decadent spread for a party. Holy cow it's delicious. Chicken Schwarma w allll the sides so I can try them all. Party in my mouth.

It's inside Tyson's Corner Mall. I was walking around and they gave me a free sample of their shawarma, so they were so sweet. I looked around the food court for something to eat. At first, I was craving Korean fried chicken, but then I also like to try new food and new restaurants. I gave it a try and it was delicious and so fresh. I would eat it again!

Chicken Shawarma - The image shows a chicken shawarma wrap cut in half, revealing shredded chicken, lettuce, and other ingredients inside a toasted flatbread. The wrap is served on a white foam tray with a side of French fries. The fries are golden and crispy, occupying most of the tray's surface. Thos our Go-To place at Tysons Corner to eat. The fried fish is the best thing on the menu but all the food is amazing.

Everything looked so good so we all tried different dishes for a wider experience. For starters we had tahdig, which I think is a must-try. The ambiance and service deserve a 5* but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I am hoping the chef reconsiders their choices. The food felt like it was made of cheap ingredients picked up on discount aisles, Mexican tortillas used instead of pita bread (needed to order it as none come with the multi-dip sampler). ketchup like item was used as a dressing in the priciest dish on the menu, the ground beef kebab felt like a reheated frozen kabob. Rice on the side showed up soggy and undercooked. This is unlike the experience we have in most Mediterranean /middle-eastern food places in NoVA. I have experienced this twice, so it can't be a coincidence unfortunately. My bad for not remembering the first experience. I cannot imagine how they have a loyal customer base that has had no issue with their food quality (based on the reviews here). It's at a prime location as well to be getting away with this. I wish they got Gordon Ramsey-ed and that more customers left honest reviews. Sorry for my harshness in this review. I did not like being deceived by the looks and reviews.

There are several reasons why I would choose this restaurant again for my wedding: 1. Food quality was amazing. Both our Iranian and American guests raved about the food, saying it was the best food they have had at a wedding. The meat was tender and juicy and the rice was delicious without being oily, which is very hard to do. Our guests went for seconds and thirds and majority of the food was finished even though we ordered extra! Even my mom, who is a very harsh judge of Persian food, loved it. 2. Service was excellent. Wedding planning is a really stressful process, so choosing a caterer is really important. Coordination with Mr. Sanaei was very smooth. He gave us his personal phone number and texted us everything we needed within hours (including COI and business license). The business is very organized. The delivery was on-time, and all the food arrived well-packed. 3. Most importantly, the staff at the actual restaurant is just really kind. I initially just went for a meal and after being treated with such kindness, I decided to use them for catering. Honestly, I get a feeling that the staff are more like my cousins. The ability to run an efficient and organized business, while still giving us a homy/comforting feeling is what makes this Maman Joon so special! 4. Price is great! I got a quote from several Persian restaurants in the DMV area (and even other Maman Joon branches) and this was lower for the exact same meals. Overall, I highly recommend Maman Joon at McLean as both a restaurant and catering!
