We were six of us ftiends on a Saturday evening. We were seated quickly and Aman did an outstanding job of providing us with a nice relaxing, unhurried but attentive when needed service! We ordered some drinks including Kingfisher and Taj beers - a bit of nostalgia! The appetizers chicken 65, dry paneer kabobs were all good. The shareable plates were all excellent - the Dal and Saag Paneer were all very flavorful and not hot at all. Overall a very nice dining experience! Will definitely recommend and be back again!

My experience at Dhoom restaurant in Tyson's Corner Mall was mediocre at best. We tried the following dishes: -Aam chaat papri - 3.5/5 -Maggi ramen with chicken - 3/5 -Veggie biryani - 2.5/5 My major disappointment was the portion size for the price being charged. The ambience was good, and the service was okay. However, I noticed that they frequently checked on a table of eight next to us but didn't check on us even once.

Came here with a colleague for dinner and we had a really nice meal! Our server was really friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful! We started with eggplant and naan and that was spicy! Really good! We also had the chili cheese toast, tandoori chicken, and the aam chaat papri. I really liked the aam chaat papri, they said it was a common street food in India. I loved the flavors, the texture, the crunchiness. And the butter chicken was everything I want! Perfect portion to share with someone else and plenty of chicken. Dhoom was so good! Definitely stop by and grab a bite to eat. They even have an outdoor patio which is nice.

We shared the chicken tikka flatbread, butter chicken, veggie samosas, and garlic naan. They were all really good and flavorful with the samosas being my favorite. Food came out fast and staff was friendly.

Looking for a place to eat for dinner, and living right close by, we decided to come by to Dhoom to check out what they had to offer. And I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this restaurant. For a restaurant in a mall, it wasn't bad at all. Everything we ordered from the menu was well flavored. We got the garlic naan, butter chicken, samosas, and the chicken tikka flatbread. Most of everything was shareable, and I honestly think the amount that we ordered was perfect. You could easily get away with just buying and eating shareables and then maybe one main to top it off. The main was plentiful, and with a garlic naan and some rice it was definitely filling. Service was great, and seating was plentiful. We did go during a time when it was quieter, but I did see it starting to fill up a little when we left. I would definitely recommend Dhoom if you're at the mall and you're trying to eat some Indian food.

This was our 2nd time here and we're still impressed by the service (EXTREMELY attentive), ambiance (beautiful aesthetic), and the food was DELISH!!! Babe only ordered appetizers but THOROUGHLY enjoyed them ( didn't really want to share ). I ordered a lamb saag dish and our friend ordered a curry lentil dish. Of course we had to have garlic naan for dipping . It's located inside the mall so there AMPLE parking (FREE). They do offer military discounts which is a plus although we'd still patronize even if they didn't.

    Papri Chaat - mediocre.

There are many great Indian restaurants in the Tyson's area. Even though this restaurant has decent food, it's crazy expensive when compared to better restaurants like Mumbai Central, Bansari, Bombay Tandoor. The Butter Chicken here is $35 (crazy), and it's not the best my husband has had. It's located in the Tyson's mall, so an easy choice for shoppers. The ambiance is nice. Servers are attentive. We ordered the following: - Papri Chaat: this is very mediocre. If the Papri Chaat is made with tortillas and not the actual Indian Papri, it's not authentic. - Chilli Cheese Toast: this was ok. Served with spicy sauce, this is a good meal option if you are not that hungry. - Maggi Ramen: not a fan at all. I make Maggi noodles at home all the time. I love Maggi. But this was too soupy for my liking. My husband ordered the Butter Chicken and felt it was average. Not worth the $35. Overall, this is not my go to place for Indian food, when there are so many better other options available in the area. Try it out once.

Service: good attentive wait staff Food: we went for the UNLIMITED BRUNCH. The food were all delicious and very flavorful. I introduced this restaurant to one of my Indian friends and she enjoyed it very much. I recommend getting one of everything. Plates are tapas style- so very small. Take it as a CHALLENGE :) Ambiance: beautiful decor. There is large patio as well. I was there as a party of 4 and there was an automatic 20% tip included. Normally I thought large parties are 6 or more. Just something to be aware of since people don't read their bill carefully (I don't always).

Came here for a birthday dinner with my family and definitely expected it to be a lot better. I really wanted to love this place as I appreciate the theme of the restaurant. The aesthetics of the restaurant were nice, but it kind of stopped there. They had some fun Indian inspired cocktails that i was excited to try. I ordered the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Rum, and the brought it to be with rotten mint, not only as the garnish but even within the drink there were black rotten mint leaves. I let our server know and he said he could bring me the same cocktail without mint leaves. I agreed and was given a new drink. However the second drink had no alcohol in it. I was drinking it for a little bit and asked my husband, and FIL to try it. They both agreed there was no alcohol in my drink. I told our server about it and he told us there was definitely alcohol in our drink. He was trying to gaslight us. How would i even go about proving this? Obviously, I am not going to ask him to taste my drink. He went back and put some rum in my drink but I was pretty displeased by this whole debacle. I barely took pictures of anything else after this. We got the aam chaat papri, aloo bravas, goat curry, shrimp pataka, butter chicken, veg biryani, and cheese naan. The chaat, butter chicken and cheese naan were all pretty good. The shrimp pataka was a bit too sweet for my liking. The rest of dishes were just okay. I think there's definitely a lot of potential here but please start by serving your customers fresh ingredients.

This would be more of 3.5 * experience. The food was tasty. The interior is decent. But the service was slow. Also we had to call staff a few times even though there were only 2-3 customers.

First visit to Dhoom although we ate at previous restaurants that had changed ownership. I nice email with a special price for Valentines day was all we needed to try out this restaurant. As the menu displays, 1 of each item to select. First course was the spicy crunch salad. This was average. Should have tried another option. Second course selections were great. Gol Guppa and Lamb Sheekh Kabab which was soft and awesome. Main course we both had the goat meat (they were nice to make mine non-spicy). Soft and went well with the rice and Lachha Parantha. Desert was Rose Kheer which was too thick but served with a nice slice of cake. Service was exceptional with staff checking as well as serving. A fun evening and more hits than misses with the meal. Worth returning to try the buffet on a weekend.

We went there for a family occasion and were not very impressed. The place is nice, the service is friendly, but the food is not very tasty. Chicken 65 had too much gravy and very little chicken, the fish fry was nice, the lamb seek kabob was flavorful but a bit undercooked, the ramen was Maggie on steroids, and the most disappointing was the aaloo gobi mutter - had too much ginger and tasted kinda odd (definitely not a Punjabi flavor). The naan seemed fresh and rice was tasty. Not a bad exp but we shall not be returning,

Ambience: Interiors were cozy and the staff was very welcoming and guided us with the brunch options. Service was great! No complains Food: We went for the the weekend brunch, our favorites were Mango lassi(I had 3 glasses ..soo yummy!), potato bravas - very creamy and crunchy, and artichoke spinach fritters were delicious. Chana bhatura was good too! And so were the tandoori wings. Butter chicken was very sweet for my liking, otherwise chicken pieces were well cooked. Tip: This is not an authentic Indian brunch but a more modern take with flavors adjusted to cater all palates. Parking: Ample parking around the mall, Arrive few minutes early during weekend as the parking lots get full pretty quick

The pianist swept you off your feet as she played back to back hits. What a romantic addition to the stunning decor and ambiance that this restaurant and hotel created. We sat in the bar area, no reservations needed. Drinks: I had to try their espresso martini after reviews that it was the best around...well, let's just say that the reviews aren't wrong! The espresso was brewed strong and the liquor pairing was perfect. 10/10 easily! My boyfriend's drink of choice was the Port of Angel's envy and he raved about how excellent the Angel's Envy bourbon was, said it was worth taking a bottle home. 10/10 Bar bites: I ordered what I called "girl dinner" lol the caviar & shrimp toast, which I can best describe as AMAZING! A perfect 10/10 My boyfriend ordered the crab cake sliders which came with a side of fries and honey, those crab cakes were DELISH! Perfect 10/10 The fries had a hint of truffle oil on it, making them even more addictive. Overall, I'm in love with the ambiance, food, and drinks and whether you choose this place for amazing drinks with friends, bar bites while watching their large screen TVs, or a romantic dinner in the main dining area-you will not regret it.

During dinner, there was live music which created a nice ambiance. I ordered the half roast chicken and chicken Bryani. The half roast chicken was disappointing. The breast was dry and flavorless. The bed of corn and beans reminds me of something you pull from the freezer. The chicken bryani could use more seasoning and spices. Dinner menu seems to be the same as the dinner menu from last year. Breakfast we ordered the chicken and waffles and also the lobster eggs Benedict. The chicken and waffle was cooked fresh. Chicken crispy and juicy. Waffle fluffy. The lobster Benedict was a let down. Eggs were cooked nicely but the lobster bits were mushy. Overall the room was nice and the food was hit or miss.

I usually am enamored with speakeasies, but it was really hard to love this one…read more 1. Reservations - I've been with OpenTable and other restaurant online booking systems for decades but this is a first for me. They have two separate OpenTable listings (as noted in other reviews). I was clear in that i just wanted an after work chill happy hour. I booked for 4:30. After promptly showing up at the wren for my 4:30 appointment I was told, Naisho room doesn't open until 5 pm.... So why did you let me book for 4:30?!?! No explanation. No apology just "you're early..." 2. I promptly dropped $70 for drinks and an appetizer at the Wren bar to hold me and my guests over. It wasn't bad but that's not what I was hoping for... at 4:30. 3. The service to the speakeasy was great. The "gym stag" had our 4:30 and let us in at... 5:03 pm... 4. The waitress inside the speakeasy was super awkward and off putting. She really needs a class on etiquette. I ordered quite a bit right off the bat but my guests slow roll throughout the experience and she didn't seem too happy with that. Taking away our menus doesn't encourage us to order either. You charge $22 for one tea sandwhich but can't afford to print out more menus? The menus were also pretty dingy and I hand sanitized after using them. 5. Food. Was mid at best. Not at all authentic Japanese. I had the oyster shooter, temaki, Wagyu toast, Wagyu quesadilla, and mocktail. The oyster shooter was too sweet. And you could only taste the oyster and caviar at the end. Mostly as an aftertaste. There was a "too sweet" aspect to most of the food. The temaki was okay and I liked the crunchy bits but they went too far with the plastic wrap on the seaweed. The plastic wrap gave me Japanese 7-11 onigiri vibes. You do that if you aren't efficient enough to get the food out to guests at once and the seaweed will get soggy. I'm not sure if it was for a "fun factor" for people who are unfamiliar with grocery store onigiri in Asia but in a restaurant it should be done for you. The Wagyu toast was a HUGE disappointment. It was Sooooo sweet. I filet barely taste anything except the gross, sweet jam. And the toast was soggy and the texture of the bread felt prepared the day before and like refrigerator. It was not toasted at all. The star was the Wagyu quesadilla with beef tendon chips. It was the cheapest item on the menu and the most filling and delicious. 6. Drinks were very good. Expect about $20 a pop... $50 for the Japanese whiskey is highway robbery. Nothing really "rare." I have most bottles on the kitchen counter from the Virginia ABc or DC Costco. You can buy an entire bottle of the Japanese whiskey at Costco for the cost of one serving here. Overall, the Naisho room felt like all hype. For over $100 I was still pretty hungry. If the food tasted good I would have ordered more but I didn't think it was worth it. You get a nice view but it's the same from most of the capital one building. Same view from the brewery. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. Plenty of better happy hour spots for much much less considering if you stay for more than two hours you have to pay for parking (we did becuase, well, our reservation was at 4:30...)

It tastes like the best rum punch you've had. It was perfectly sweet, but not too sweet. Beautiful in color. So good I had to sip this one very slowly...like it was the last or only one ever made. DELICIOUS! He also recommended the: 2. Smoked Old Fashioned and it was served to perfection as well. Nice and smoky and smooove. Then...we had the lobster tacos. I don't like lobster. Well, I didn't like lobster until I tried these tacos. To be honest, the lobster tasted like crab legs and the taco was dressed in all fresh ingredients (avocado, charred corn, cilantro, and a fresh flour tortilla) Alright...then next up was the Panko Crusted Sole. It is not filleted tableside because it is pan seared in the kitchen. It was very filling. I think I had three nice-sized filets. It came pretty much with a light and fresh tomato salad. You should do it! Then there was the Crab Cake, which was good. It was in the sweeter end. It was a large portion. It does not have jumbo lump crab meat, but don't let that deter you. Christ also informed us that the "Accompaniments" (sides) could be ordered in half sizes and indeed we - I - had a half size of the Au Gratin Potatoes. They were very smooth, flavorful, and creamy. Also, shouts out to Oscar who held down the water service and the other little things in between that also made this evening even better. The ambiance...I can't wait to head here again on Friday! I went in Saturday evening and the 3 Bears (band) was the live musical entertainment. They were AMAZING! To be honest, I just want to drop in and get a salad and drink...but everything else was so wonderful that $300 later, I'm writing this review.
