We definitely liked the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. We started with a mango lassi and potato samosas. Both were a great start to the meal. We got butter chicken, garlic naan, and boneless chicken biryani. The biryani came in a huge portion. We will definitely be back to try other stuff. I like how they ask you what spice level you want dishes to be.

A friend recommended this place. We came here on a Sunday night with a reservation, but it was pretty empty. The ambiance is chic and upscale, with black and orange interior decor, velvet chairs, and honeycomb dividers giving it a private lounge like feel. Our server was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made recommendations. For apps, we tried th aloo samosa which was warm and tasty, and came as 2 pieces with tamarind and green chutney (5/5). For entrees we had the following (all curries were medium spicy), and the food came out really fast (since it was mostly empty) -Malai kofta: 5/5 -Paneer Lababdar: 4.5/5 -Daal Makhani: 5/5 -Garlic naan: 5/5 -Veg dum biryani (not huge fan of biryani so won't rate it) Couple of things that I would recommend for areas of improvement are: -have small plates for apps and the larger one for entrees instead using the same plate for both. I had to ask for another plate because mine had gotten chutney on a part of it -I would've wanted someone to come earlier to check in to see how everything was going and refill water. The manager come towards the end to ask how everything was and any if we had any feedback / recommendations -the curries came with rice. I think it would be a good opportunity to have the option of the curries coming with rice, biryani, or naan (can increase the price appropriately for "curry combo"). This way, guests can try smaller portions of different biryanis. -at the end, paying the check should come with the leftover boxes. It's much more efficient to complete payment, pack the boxes and leave, rather than pack the boxes and then spend time trying to wave down a server for payment. Overall the food was good and budget friendly, and I would definitely come back to try some other really good looking apps and curries.

Food ordered but were missing items

Ordered from Biryani Grill, Chantilly on the 31st over the phone and drove 30 minutes to pick it up. The order included biryani, paneer lababdar, 2 butter naan, and chicken lollipop. Unfortunately, both butter naan and the rice side for the paneer lababdar were missing. Since this was their mistake, I called the restaurant to request the missing items. I had to call four times, and each time I was told that the manager would call me back, but I never received a call. They gave multiple reasons for not delivering the items. Dealing with this issue took almost 1 hour, which was very frustrating. Food Review: * Biryani: Decent, but not as good as their Aldie branch (3.7/5) * Paneer Lababdar: Made mild as requested (3.5/5) * Butter Naan (2): Missing * Rice side with Paneer Lababdar: Missing * Chicken Lollipop: Mild as requested, but some parts had a slightly wet/undercooked batter texture (3/5) The food quality was acceptable, but poor service and lack of responsibility--especially after a 30-minute drive--significantly impacted the overall experience.

Ocean Paradise is a must-visit, we are fortunate it's next to our neighborhood. Ocean Paradise…read moreabsolutely lives up to its name. A special shoutout to our server, Sandra, she was fantastic. We started with the bang bang shrimp--perfectly crispy with a delicious sweet heat that wasn't overpowering. Easily one of the best appetizers we've had. For my entrée, I had the twin lobster tails they were tender, buttery, and flawless. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and perfectly seasoned. My husband ordered the Connecticut lobster roll, which was loaded with generous chunks of lobster, lightly dressed, and served on a perfectly toasted roll with crispy fries. Simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

It's in a newish shopping center, which, for us, had a bonus-- there is a Harris Teeter there. We needed to pick up some items, so we did before having dinner. We were here for an early dinner. Now that it's getting darker so early, we try to avoid driving after dark, when possible. Thus, we were here around 3 p.m. and were glad to see they were serving dinner at that time. To drink, I chose a mocktail called "What a lychee" which consists of "lychee, pineapple juice, club soda". It was garnished with a lychee. I did enjoy this drink. My husband had a non-alcoholic Stella Artois. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. Having looked at the menu before arriving, we each knew what we wanted. I chose to try the "Blackened Pan Seared Yellow Fin Tuna" which (supposedly) consists of: "Topped with jumbo lump crab meat, sundried tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, creamy lemon sauce served with rice." My husband chose the "Shrimp platter," which (supposedly) consists of: "crispy beer battered shrimp, coleslaw and chipotle sauce served with hand cut French fries." It took a while for our food to come out. As I was eating, it dawned on me that there was no crab meat or sundried tomatoes. Also, the sauce sure was a creamy lemon sauce. It was more like a miso-flavored sauce. Hard to say if the menu got changed, but no new menus were printed up to fix it. Or was it that the young man who cooked the food wasn't familiar with the entrees? Still, despite the discrepancies, I did like this dish, although it would have been even better if they had prepared it correctly. My husband noticed that there was no Chipotle sauce on his dish. Instead, there were two small containers: one with ketchup and another with tartar sauce. He, too, thought that his shrimp was well prepared, although the breading didn't cling to the shrimp. This experience left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we appreciated the friendly, attentive service. Yet, on the other hand, we wonder whether it's worth going again, given the possibility of not getting all the ingredients for one's entree. We liked the ambiance, which evoked images of the beach. They have some nice paintings on one wall depicting the seashore, a lighthouse, and beach houses.
