Adana Kebap**( juicy and delicious)
Anna P.

I waited until my 3rd visit to give my opinion. Tysons area is pretty competitive for Middle Eastern food and to open successful restaurant is tough, but seem like Agora did it. Service is great, almost flawless. Ambiance is created around Istanbul street vibe and atmosphere is relaxing and designed to let you observe parts of open kitchen space, where you see how dough team makes your pide ( flatbread) . Food is tasty to outstanding, with one of the best taramasalata ( fish roe whipped with bread, lemon and olive oil). Adana kebab was cooked to perfection by my family liking. For me star of the night was grilled octopus. Wow,what a delicious joyous experience it was!! Succulent juicy parts, back eyed peas with some amazing sauce on the bottom. Generously sized and perfectly executed. We will definitely come back for more dishes like that

Things were already off to a strong start with the complimentary warm bread and sips of tea. My favorite items were the manti and the mixed mushrooms. I tried the sampler of all their dips, and I highly recommend the cacik. The other dips are good too, but this one was so light and bright; perfect way to start a meal. I wasn't a big fan of was the taramosalata as it was a little too fishy for me. I also wish there were less beans with the octopus dish and maybe more of a grain or something else. Service was attentive without being overbearing and the food came out promptly. Overall, a nice spot for mezze.

I came in for their weekend unlimited brunch. I highly recommend making a reservation and coming a little early to find parking. It is $48 per person for 2 hours of their brunch menu. They start you off with one of each of the Starters for the table. Then you can order whatever you'd like on the menu. The portions are pretty small as you can see in my photo. But you can order multiple of each dish per round. Their dishes do taste higher-end, which is why the price is higher. They also taste clean and not overly oily or anything like that. I came out satisfied. If you're trying to consume large quantities of protein, this wouldn't be the spot for you. But if you want great tasting, quality foods then you should come visit here.

The stuff that the restaurant did exceptionally well for weekend brunch: the dips - they bring all of them to the table which is an interesting concept, but I think it gets you to try everything and it's only a little bit of everything. The plates are small so you can taste them without feeling like you're being wasteful. The bread is quite good. I also liked the Pide. Entrées were generally good as well. The vegetable omelette was flavorful and my husband seemed to enjoy the lamb dish. He also liked the fries/potatoes. The sucuk was well executed. Things we didn't enjoy that much were the shrimp. It's two cold shrimp and some oil which OK, I guess if you have it with some of the pita, it would be OK, but really didn't have that much flavor. Also, I thought the falafel was cold and overcooked. Perhaps that was just that instance. The one random thing that was kind of surprising was the Turkish tea pot was $18. I've never paid that much for Turkish tea. Lol. Or any tea at that. The desserts were interesting. The fried dough balls were tasty, but personally, I'd prefer the chocolate sauce on the side. The yogurt parfait was well executed and tasty. Another positive point is details in the bathroom. They must have an agreement with a company for soap and lotion. I know it's a very small detail, but it's rare that a restaurant has lotion and good lotion at that- available in the restrooms. I'd go back but I'm not sure I'd spend $18 for the pot of tea.

Amazing shared plates Mediterranean experience for a wonderfully unique dinner of flavors! It's a tapas style with small plates, perfect for a family or group of friends to try many different dishes. We tried the spreads platter which was perfect with the endless, warm pita. The LAHMACUN flatbread was very well spiced and a good light appetizer. The ŞİŞ KEBAP was very tender and juicy - cooked to a perfect medium rare. The highlight was the rack of lamb shared experience, which came with ottoman rice, and veggies on the plate. The lamb was so tender and the fat caps were grilled perfectly. It was a generous portion and great for 3-4 people to split with 9 pieces. The restaurant is lit uniquely with beautiful lamps from the ceiling, and though the restaurant was crowded, we could only hear ourselves. Service was exceptional, continuous clearing of our plates and even complementary tea to start! Parking in the garage is free as well as on the street out front.

They got slightly better in food quality but the service is still not good. 1. Reservation: absolutely necessary, you can't go in on any day. They are always packed. which is a surprise for me. 2. Food: 4 stars I ate here countless times and it used to great and became very bad and now it is reviving a bit again. - sis kebab was great! Small portion but great. - chicken was just chicken, make it at home. don't buy such stuff eating out, it was a mistake to order this 3. Drinks: mixed drinks are still not great. Choose wine or prepackaged items here 4. Service: not accommodating and it was so awkward. I could tell he hated serving us. We were still gracious and gave him 20% tip, but he deserved none! If you are in the area anyway, Chima, Fogo, Eddie's and many other better options exist.

AYCE Mediterranean brunch with small plates! Excellent service, beautiful and clean inside, the decor was modern yet cozy. They bring out all the starters automatically which I liked that concept. Small enough so if you don't like one, it's not wasted and if you really enjoyed it, you can request more! All the entrees are small portions so you can literally try everything! Some we enjoyed more than others and overall experience was great! Very similar to Ambar, which my hubby and sons prefer bc they have some "American" choices lol

We brunched on a Sunday and were one of the first tables in the restaurants since we had an 11AM reservation. Our server was nice but a bit slow on service (delivery of food and drinks). Overall, the staff was pleasant. Food on the other hand, was a different story. We had a larger table (6) yet we were only provided one set of starters. When we asked for another set, the server was a little impatient and said more was coming. Why not just drop off 2 sets to begin with? How do you drop off 2 deviled eggs for 6 people? The pide that came next was undercooked and therefore inedible. The sistavuk was dry, despite being thigh meat. The vegetable omelette was the tastiest egg dish. The sides - falafel was hard as rocks and dry, sujuk was the worst sujuk, and their "fries" are halved potatoes. When we asked for more of the marinated shrimp (which by the way is served cold), we were given 2. Just sad/unplanned portions for a large table. The meal ended with the tiniest lokmas ever, which were over fried and couldn't bite into. Disappointing brunch experience.

Excellent food and service. Turkish/Lebanese food that I normally don't enjoy with others, but this restaurant has blown my mind. So much flavor and good quality food. The server was rude, but my lemonade was amazing. Cozy and beautiful interior was also good. I would love to come back and check out more for sure.

I had Agora in Tysons on a rainy Tuesday evening, visiting my good friends. Mediterranean is one of my favorite foods, and it's hard to find something a cut above the rest. It was my first time trying it out and I have to say the ambiance did not disappoint. It reminded me a little like Fogo de Chão, in terms of quality and how busy it was. We had a table upstairs, which felt more like a private venue. The menu had great starters and mains, and we ended up getting the grape leaves, Grilled Chicken and Lamb. It was the perfect cook and exquisite plating. It felt simple yet healthy. The service was clean, quick and comfortable. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for an upscale dining experience.

Food and service is phenomenal. Great tasting traditional Mediterranean food, personally probably the best in this area! We tried the spread sampler, Brussel sprouts, grilled chicken and lamb chop, all cooked to perfection. Drinks were great as well, the mocktail I had was refreshing without being overly sweet. Great experience.

We needed a venue for four families and a group of 14. My son's girlfriend found Agora in Tysons. We made a reservation, which was essential to get a table for our group. The parking is conveniently located in the residential garage under the building. The restaurant seemed small at first, with a beautiful bar at the front, but we were seated at our reserved table upstairs. The Bronze prix-fixe menu was a fantastic choice for our large party, which made food selection simple and enjoyable for everyone. The five-course menu was served family-style and was incredibly delicious, including the dessert. The menu also included regular coffee and Turkish teas. The staff was amazing. We all enjoyed the lovely ambiance and the entire dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant. 5 Stars for sure!

I am most definitely a new fan of Agora. The food here is flavored well and gives a unique experience. The service exceeded our expectations. Not only was our waitress attentive, she also provided excellent recommendations. Then the price is affordable. As it pertains to the venue itself, the decor was super cute giving a chic ambiance. Whenever I am craving delicious Mediterranean food, it is nice to know that I know exactly where to go.... Agora.

Is this place only opened for dinner or brunch? Is the parking free?

Not sure I understand your question correctly, but they are open for dinner and brunch on weekends. There's is a garage behind the restaurant that offers free parking. Enjoy!

Hi there - any updates on outdoor heater availability?

As of tonight, their tents are still not heated and they don't know when it will happen.

Does your outdoor seating area have heaters, or similar heating source for patrons who prefer dining outside (during the winter months of the global pandemic)?

Hi, our tents are available, currently they do not have heaters. We are waiting for our heaters to be approved by the fire Marshall. Please check back later this week for updates. Thank you for your inquiry.

What is Halal on your menu?

Everything here is halal

Do they have a kid's menu or kids price for brunch?

No they do not.

Is the brunch all you can eat and on what day(s) is it available?

I believe it's still unlimited small plates, and on the weekend.

Is anything halal?

Hi, all of our meats are helal. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Betul

Delicious Indian restaurant - great happy hour and brunch spot!…read more The happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Fri is an amazing deal. I ordered 2 dishes and a cocktail for under $20! I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. There's a good balance between traditional Indian dishes and Western fusion with a hint of American flavors/presentation. My favorite stand-outs: - Aam Chat Papri with crispy Papri pita like chips with mango, chick peas, and potatoes smothered in yogurt and chutney, and topped with spicy garam masala mix - Chana Bhatura with chick pea curry and fluffy, bubbly fried bread. Large portion. - Spinach and Artichoke Fritters - Crispy bite-size balls filled with creamy spinach artichoke dip, 4 come in an order and perfect for sharing! - Aloo Bravas - Crispy, diced potatoes very reminiscent of the Spanish Patatas Bravas with aioli sauce and mild masala spicy kick - Butter Chicken - My friend enjoyed it, solid full entree size. I didn't order or try it in, but it looked pretty tasty and could easily why she made a happy empty plate! - Nutella Bread Pakora - Tastes like a bites-size Nutella fried donut! So good we ordered another one! - Helluva Hallawa Trio - I enjoyed sampling the 3 types of Hallawa, ranging in savory (carrot) to more sweet and milky (my favorite). - Mango Lassi - The sweetness of the mango lassi helped to balance out and absorb the spiciness of the food. - Masala Chai - Great ending to a meal, perfectG caffeine pick me up! Paired well with the Nutella bread Pakora. The other dishes on the menu were fun to try, but would probably skip and save room for my faves: - Aloo Sabzi and Katchuri - The dense hollow shell katchuri (similar to a round empanada) made of dhal lentil smothered in Aloo potato curry sabzi was very filling and dense. After a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. - Egg Burgi and Paratha - The masala spicy scrambled egg on paratha flatbread was kind of bland and a very small portion. - Mango Mimosa - While the mimosas were only $4, it was quite tangy and didn't pair well with the meal. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! The masala potatoes paired well with the dosa. I wasn't a fan of the Sambar. Based on the glowing brunch and happy hour experience, I would come back to try the lunch buffet with an early start right when it opens!

I love that their naan is thin vs the typical thick kind at restaurants and stores. The lunch special had great choices on it including biryani and butter chicken! Thanks for that! I was verrryy shocked by the taste, almost tasted ritualistic it was so oddly gross. Lol Best service I've ever had at an Indian restaurant and food was delicious per usual of Indian food. Reservations - I've been with OpenTable and other restaurant online booking systems for decades but this is a first for me. They have two separate OpenTable listings (as noted in other reviews). I was clear in that i just wanted an after work chill happy hour. I booked for 4:30. After promptly showing up at the wren for my 4:30 appointment I was told, Naisho room doesn't open until 5 pm.... So why did you let me book for 4:30?!?! No explanation. No apology just "you're early..." 2. I promptly dropped $70 for drinks and an appetizer at the Wren bar to hold me and my guests over. It wasn't bad but that's not what I was hoping for... at 4:30. 3. The service to the speakeasy was great. The "gym stag" had our 4:30 and let us in at... 5:03 pm... 4. The waitress inside the speakeasy was super awkward and off putting. She really needs a class on etiquette. I ordered quite a bit right off the bat but my guests slow roll throughout the experience and she didn't seem too happy with that. Taking away our menus doesn't encourage us to order either. You charge $22 for one tea sandwhich but can't afford to print out more menus? The menus were also pretty dingy and I hand sanitized after using them. 5. Food. Was mid at best. Not at all authentic Japanese. I had the oyster shooter, temaki, Wagyu toast, Wagyu quesadilla, and mocktail. The oyster shooter was too sweet. And you could only taste the oyster and caviar at the end. Mostly as an aftertaste. There was a "too sweet" aspect to most of the food. The temaki was okay and I liked the crunchy bits but they went too far with the plastic wrap on the seaweed. The plastic wrap gave me Japanese 7-11 onigiri vibes. You do that if you aren't efficient enough to get the food out to guests at once and the seaweed will get soggy. I'm not sure if it was for a "fun factor" for people who are unfamiliar with grocery store onigiri in Asia but in a restaurant it should be done for you. The Wagyu toast was a HUGE disappointment. It was Sooooo sweet. I filet barely taste anything except the gross, sweet jam. And the toast was soggy and the texture of the bread felt prepared the day before and like refrigerator. It was not toasted at all. The star was the Wagyu quesadilla with beef tendon chips. It was the cheapest item on the menu and the most filling and delicious. 6. Drinks were very good. Expect about $20 a pop... $50 for the Japanese whiskey is highway robbery. Nothing really "rare." I have most bottles on the kitchen counter from the Virginia ABc or DC Costco. You can buy an entire bottle of the Japanese whiskey at Costco for the cost of one serving here. Overall, the Naisho room felt like all hype. For over $100 I was still pretty hungry. If the food tasted good I would have ordered more but I didn't think it was worth it. You get a nice view but it's the same from most of the capital one building. Same view from the brewery. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. Plenty of better happy hour spots for much much less considering if you stay for more than two hours you have to pay for parking (we did becuase, well, our reservation was at 4:30...)

The atmosphere is always nice for a date night, birthday dinner, or just wanting to go somewhere that feels a little more upscale without being uncomfortable. I'll absolutely be back again. Also, if you've never been before, the restaurant is on the second floor and there is garage parking available, which is nice.

That said I am vegetarian so they offered gnocchi, veggie pasta, of veggie fried rice. But of course I would order Cesar, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, mashed potato's. We also ordered fries oysters, stuffed shrimp and moscato. Oysters were good, stuffed shrimp good. Sides- they were good. Now you didn't see me say amazing or anything. Just good. Atmosphere was nice. Enjoyed the live piano band. The gentleman worked those keys. So I have been. I don't need to drive out of my way to go again. Ok spot.

Wow. What a very high-end restaurant! I love the vibe and design of the restaurant. Deff a spot…read morewhere wearing pajamas or gym clothes is not suggested. lol. Loved our waiter, he was very entertaining and gave us a great experience. We did the Modan Tasting Experience (Six Course Meal*). My apologies for not taking note on what is each dish, but we enjoyed the meals. We still had room for more food, so if you have a big appetite, just keep in mind this will not fill you. lol. So many options to choose from! I really enjoyed their sushi so I would definitely come back to eat their sushi. I would recommend this spot!

I ordered a couple of cocktails off the menu - Lychee Martini was very boozy and didn't have much flavor. The Flor de Cana Pineapple Mojito is interestingly on happy hour, but not on the main cocktail menu. It was okay and not that flavorful. Honestly, I wouldn't mind shelling out $20+ cocktail if it packed a punch with flavor and well-balanced. These cocktails didn't measure up. The Cauliflower Taco was truly bite-size and was the teeny tiniest taco I've ever seen. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor, so I was glad that it was gone within 2 bites. After spending $60+ on 2 drinks and tiny taco, I was ready to go home disappointed. Our server was friendly. Maybe I didn't order the right drinks? I might come back to try another round of drinks, but not sure if I'm willing to dish out another $20+ cocktail.
