I had an amazing meal at 801 chophouse. We had the shrimp cocktail, calamari, French onion soup, filet mignon with broccolini, asparagus, and salmon. Everything was delicious with the exception of the salmon. I didn't have the filet mignon but my colleagues confirmed it was stellar. The desserts are house made and to die for! The only pictures I took that night as they were so beautiful and note worthy! They had the best, and most well cooked calamari I've ever had in my life. I'll definitely be back, but will avoid the salmon next time. Their happy hour specials are a great deal.

If you want a good meal, go to 801 Chophouse. If you want an experience, go to 801 Chophouse. If you want to feel special, go to 801 Chophouse. Moral of the story... go to 801 Chophouse. I clearly can't say enough good things about 801. I was in the area for a work trip and decided I wanted a good steak. 801 was the obvious solution. I decided to sit at the bar and was greeted by Susie... aka the world's best bartender. She was attentive, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The whole vibe of the restaurant is just that, friendly and welcoming. Everything is thoughtfully done, the cocktails, the food and even the bathroom! Being a solo diner at a steakhouse can be intimidating because of the portions. You want everything but can't eat it all. Susie was very proactive and let me know that some things can be ordered as a half portion. Perfect! That was permission to go overboard! I got 2 scallops, 1/2 a wedge salad, a whole steak, 1/2 Mac and cheese and 1/2 string beans. Everything was amazing! The sauce with the scallops was kind of sweet, kind of savory. It was the perfect balance to the scallops. Who doesn't love a good wedge salad? It was crisp, refreshing and had the perfect amount of everything. I forgot to mention the sourdough bread! So tasty! Perfectly crunch on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. I had to stop myself from eating it all. One of my things about a steakhouse are the sides and these didn't disappoint. I was torn between the broccolini and string beans. I ended up getting the string beans and Mac and cheese. The onions and bacon in the string beans really made the dish. The Mac and cheese was gooey, cheesy and delicious. On to the steak... I got the dry aged NY strip. It was More than enough for one meal. This was my first time ever getting a dry aged steak and won't be my last. For dessert I got the adult version of a PB&J. The blondie was rich and paired perfectly with the sorbet. I haven't even mentioned the drinks! Again, Susie was the best! All of her suggestions were spot on and her martinis... top notch! Not sure which was the highlight of my night, the food or the people (Dani & Susie!). Needless to say, I'll be back!

Wedge salad, super delicious--loved the bacon!

On my top restaurants in this area. Totally new to this steakhouse and loved, loved, loved it. Tried their wedge salad, smaller filet and asparagus. Even splurged to try their chocolate cake. Was a memorable dinner. Delicious and absolutely perfect. Service was the best I have experienced. Ambience was very relaxing and yet energetic as staff worked to ensure each guest had the best visit ever. Had to go to VA to experience such joy.. So happy to see there is one in Denver/Cherry Creek so I can continue to experience such exuberance to share with friends and family.

Had a lovely date evening here. We were seated at a booth in the bar area, felt very private. Nice ambience with warm, low lighting, but a lamp at your table so you can clearly read the menu and see your food without issue. This is a very expensive experience, but I believe the quality is at least what you would expect for the elevated price-point. We ordered a filet minion and prime rib and both were velvety. One side dish is plenty for 2 to 3 people depending on your appetite, so that was a little bit of a catch for the 2 of us, as we wanted the variety of a starch (mashed potatoes) and a vegetable (garlic spinach), but ended up with leftovers of both sides. Having size options on the sides would be helpful. Service was a little slow, water and tea refills were hard to get which was disappointing. Ironically we were able to get 2 plates of fresh bread easily and enjoyed that along side our oyster starter. Cannot speak to what the parking situation would usually be as we were able to get free street parking that may become more competitive when the neighboring construction is complete. I believe there is an underground parking garage right out front, but I am unsure what it costs. I believe they also offer a valet option.

Amazing blackened prime rib@ 801 Chophouse!

An amazing steak along with great atmosphere, sign me up! Throw in supreme service and complementary valet, that's what you'll get at 801 Chophouse. Tyson's newest steakhouse, 801 resembles The Capital Grille more than Eddie V's, so it's definitely more of an old school vibe. 801 pays attention to every detail, so much so, they'll give you a play by play on each cut of steak that's offered. No need to make this a long review, the steaks, oysters, lamb chops and even their pork chops are mouthwatering. Try 801 Chophouse for your next fine dining experience, you will absolutely love it!

This was our first time at 801 Chophouse and I have mixed feelings. First impression, I was surprised to find out there was no valet. For a high end steakhouse, I expected a valet. There is a parking garage in the same building which the restaurant validates. The decor is very nice and reminds you of a traditional NYC steakhouse. After ordering and receiving the wedge salad we waited 40 minutes before getting our entrees. The waiter did provide updates and checked on us a couple times. He said the kitchen was backed up due to a group in another room. 40 minutes between salad and entree is inexcusable. The important part is the food was outstanding. The wedge salad and sourdough bread was delightful. The steaks were cooked to order and the pork chop with cider au jus was flavorful. The cheesecake was amazing. I would say it was slightly better than the Brooklyn Blackout Cake. I plan on going back for dinner, since this time was for brunch on Mother's Day. They did allow us to order from the brunch menu or the dinner menu which was nice. Had it not been for the long delay getting our entrees, our experience would have been perfect. I'm willing to give it another try.

Rib eye entree, pork chop entree and Brussels as side

Great service and cute date night spot. They offer free valet parking, but we parked on the street. We enjoyed the sour bread dough as a starter. You could tell the bread was fresh. We ordered the ribeye and the pork chop as entrees. The meats were cooked well but the green beans were overcooked. The portions are huge! Overall we had a pleasant experience.

Treated my bestie to a birthday dinner at 4pm. We opened the place up! Was greeted warmly and genuinely upon entry. They took our coats and seated us promptly. Suzy came from the bar to take care of us. She was a sweetheart! The table was cute, decorated with birthday wishes. Bestie loved it. It was her first time there and was immediately impressed with the superb service. Then I saw Robbie!! Yayyyyy, I was there last month celebrating my birthday not feeling my best so Robbie offered to make me a hot toddy!! Whew weee, it was just what I needed, nice and strong with plenty honey!! Ahhh the memories but I digress. Robbie greeted us, asked what we ordered and was glad to see us. It was nice to see a familiar face. Another staff member stopped by to greet and chat with us. My bestie assumed I'm a regular and that they personally know me. LOL. That's not it, the staff is genuinely nice, personable and provides extraordinary service! We started with the calamari and warm bread!!! I had the surf and turf and she the shellfish pan roast, pan roast mushrooms, truffle fries! It was plentiful feast!! Everything was beyond delicious!! Bestie enjoyed herself and rarely indulges so this was a real treat! Thanks to the staff for making her bday special! We'll see you again!

The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. The complimentary valet pulling up was excellent and we walked in to an extremely friendly hostess who checked our coats. Our waiter, Grant, was very friendly and personable from the moment we sat down. He provided us with some water and bread to give us time to look over the menus. When we made our wine selection, he poured our glasses for us and always ensured they didn't run empty. The food was top tier!! We had filet, mashed potatoes, broccolini and lobster mac and cheese. Everything came out hot and tasted perfect!! We had an excellent first experience here and would highly recommend.

Alexa Play Magic by Coldplay I wanted to come try this place with my better half but catching up with an old friend of twenty years plus, had me here in VA trying 801 Chophouse without my heartbeat. We dined at the bar like old bar buddies. Old Friends and dinner means the bar option. Let's start off with ambiance, beautiful restaurant. Even dining at the bar was elegant. Service, impeccable! The manager made sure to greet us, ask how dinner was going several times. Staff were super attentive. Let's get into it! House Wedge - PERFECT Crab cake - One of the best I've had Petit Filet - Great Green beans - Good Hash browns with Cheese- Okay Overall, this place is great, I'm definitely returning with my foodie partner in crime but we'll do the romantic way and get a booth, share food, and take pictures like the foodies we are. Price is at Fine Dining price point but worth it! Meal for two $380 with gratuity. Good to Note: Parking is free! Valet service at that! Classy classy! My type of restaurant! Magical For Sure! Only reason it's 4 stars is because food needed salt on a few items. Really I'd give them a 4.5!!!!

This is my third time at 801 Chophouse Tyson's Corner, but we wanted to take my Mom there while she was visiting for the Christmas holiday. As always, EXCEPTIONAL service, delicious food prepared to PERFECTION, and the service was SPECTACULAR!! Our server Robby was excellent and a special shout out to Sous Chef Aleta who came out to chat with us, Pastry Chef Daniel and General Manager Boris who made sure that we were well taken care of. I cannot lift up this restaurant, their staff and the kitchen team enough. The entire experience is top tier - love this place!!

I came for dinner for my dad's birthday. They decorated the table with confetti and a personalized menu that said "Happy birthday" which was really cute. It was also Sunday which they had their Sunday Supper menu for $65 a person for three course meal the appetizer was a choice between an iceberg wedge salad and a Caesar salad as for the main you could choose between a filet mignon or prime rib lastly for dessert there was either a chocolate cake and ice cream situation or a lemon custard dessert. The servers were sweet and patient with us. The food were all really yummy and the portions are really big. The only thing is the service was on the slower side so we were there for 3 hours.

Calamari

First time trying 801. Overall a great experience. The decor was very distinguished, clean and staff alert and friendly. We got a picture of Jerry (the bull statue in the middle of the dining room); he looked magnificent with his floral arrangement around his neck lol! Our waiter was friendly and provided guidance when we asked the difference between wet aged and dry aged. He brought out fresh bread loaves with butter. We ordered the calamari to start....the strips were thick cuts but very tender and topped with fried zucchini strings. We really enjoyed it. We decided on a prime rib, a wet aged ribeye and a dry aged ribeye with a la carte sides of roasted mushrooms, lobster Mac and cheese and the hash browns. All three steaks were cooked perfectly and there is a definite taste difference between the two ribeyes, both fantastic unique flavors. Sides were delicious, IMO though, we enjoyed the lobster Mac and wild mushrooms from Capital Grille better. Why? Because the cheeses was very mild and thought it could have used a more nuttier cheese and the mushrooms were all cut in strips except the button mushrooms which I felt they could've just left those out. The hash brown was different and had a nice crunch with the chunky bacon and melted cheese! We were stuffed but decided to share a caramel apple upside down cake. In my mind I picture chunks of apple on top of cake drizzled with caramel....instead it was a layer of gelatinous apple purée which was pretty tart and not very appealing IMO. Not everything needs to be transformed to something more fancy...sometimes sticky to basics is all it takes lol. I did tell our waiter it wasn't what we hoped it to be when he asked. He actually comped it and gave us a couple chocolate chip cookies to go instead! We didn't expect that at all since we did eat it lol but it was definitely appreciated! Again overall a great experience if you've never been!

Fortunately, I was able to locate a spot without too much stress, prayer, or endless navigation. My wife was able to make a reservation and we were promptly seated upon arrival. Service seemed a little slow to take our drink order and receive them so I felt we had to guide the server on next actions to avoid wait. I had the pork chop which comes with cabbage but was allowed to swap it for mashed potatoes. A green vegetable would have been nice to come with the entree so I had to order additional sides such as the Brussels sprouts with bacon, and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious. My son's roommate is a vegetarian and was able to find a lentil dish and salad on the menu for his meal. He was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the meal, ingredients, and low calorie counts across the menu. I asked for a bread basket if they had one since it wasn't offered and we received four 2"x4" thin pieces of a thin bread like a tortilla. I could've used a few more of those baskets while we awaited our meal since it didn't have an impact as a bread roll might. A good visit, good food, decent service, and a decent price.
