I enjoyed my share while waiting for everyone to arrive, and it was a true treat. For larger groups: If you have 12 or more people, definitely request the private room. We were split into two tables side by side, which made things a bit hectic. It felt like a game of musical chairs all night. Food: I went with the roasted chicken, accompanied by herbed fries and a mocktail. The half chicken had crispy skin, was juicy, and it was seasoned well. My family and I stopped by for dinner Saturday night at Wildfire at Tyson's corner. We were able to get a corner booth and really enjoyed the ambiance and the decor of the restaurant. It was mostly an older crowd dining around us. The dining area was still pretty full but not too loud. The music was contemporary classic and at an appropriate volume. Our waiter came a few minutes after we sat and took down our order when he stopped by. He didn't write anything down but amazingly got every single modification (my family is particular, me not so much) absolutely correct. That was my biggest takeaway as I thought he would have made an error somewhere. I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich and opted for broccoli as a side item. My cousin ordered the full rack of ribs and said they were fantastic. My other family members ordered a traditional salad and the other a plain chicken breast that had a side of mashed potatoes. Everything came out hot and at its preferred temperatures. The restaurant automatically brings cornbread which is flavorful and served warm in a basket for guests. Although our party was big (it was about 10 of us), we were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was not very crowded. The food was just ok. We were served cornbread as the table bread. It was not bad but I was a little weirded out because there was corn in the cornbread. I personally ordered a bacon cheeseburger and lemon vinaigrette broccoli. The burger and broccoli were good. I hated the coleslaw. I tasted a little bit of everything everyone else ordered and the prime rib was probably the best thing. I didn't get to try the ribs but my friend said she enjoyed it. Some of the others at the table complained about their steaks being overcooked. Some of the sides were bland. Overall, while I liked my food, I was underwhelmed. This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to for birthday celebrations. It's not too stuffy and the staff are very nice! I love sitting on the side by the ramp towards the hostess stand. It's a lot more quieter and calmer. The main dining room is very loud if you want a lively party I was more into a romantic evening with my fiancé. We ended up getting the three course special, which really is a great deal. The Prime Rib is out of this world I like it lean and medium rare. The baked potato was stuffed and huge. My fiancé got the roasted vegetables. They were very pretty and colorful but not the kind I like if you like brussels sprouts and peppers and butternut squash they are for you. The desserts were phenomenal. Can't go wrong with Keylime pie chocolate cake, and our waiter was wonderful. Marcos was attentive very nice to bring a candle for my fiancé's birthday and helped us pack up all the food to bring home. Always go for the chopped salad-- pro tip if you order the large with dressing on the side you have enough for lunch the next day! Tried the coconut shrimp and au gratin potatoes for the first time and it's safe to say they will now be added into my wildfire rotation. Not much that I can say. It was what I expected. This is not a criticisim. 3.5 stars to be accure, which means fine. - not bad, not good. The menu is fairly basic, but if you steak and chops you will find something to eat. They also have some fish and chicken options as well. We split a calamari. One of us had the New York Strip and the other Prime Rib. It was fine and prepared as requested. Servings are generous. Nothing to pick at or pick on. Nothing to particularly praise either. For us, service was very attentive. The dining room looks a little worn in places, but transmits a steakhouse/ clubby feel. All in we shared an appetizer, two glasses of wine, two entrées, and one extra order of vegetables as a shared side order in addition to one side order included with each entrée. All in, including the tax and about a 25% tip for the server's attentiveness, it was $204. Not bad for the quality/ quantity of food. The food just didnt break past OK, but the service and overall price were fine, so leans in more to 3.5 stars to be fair. My experience this visit was mostly disappointing. The Greek salad was good. Not the worst filet I have had in the past few months but certainly not among the best. It was cooked medium rare exactly as ordered but was not very tender. Service was courteous but slow, although my filet arrived while I only about 1/3 finished with my salad. It seemed like the steak was fired the same time the order went in despite having an appetizer. I wish I was offered the dessert menu as quickly after I finished my steak. After the steak was dropped, I didn't see my server for a long time. The roasted vegetables side dish was good. I was seated in the bar area. The ambience here was not as nice as previous visits when I was in the other half of the restaurant. The bar area is pretty noisy. A surprising disappointment was to discover that Lettuce Eats points are not redeemable on Saturdays after the 3pm. Had I known, I would have eaten elsewhere. Also, they add a B.S. deceptive charge of 3% to checks to "offset rising costs." However, our friend had Rewards card which to her chagrin she could not utilize. Came by for some drinks and light snacks post Christmas shopping. Compared to some of the other dining establishments, this spot was relatively quiet. We sat at a high top and ordered some drinks. My boyfriend's beer came out pretty flat, and the cocktails were truly pretty terrible. The Rougue French 75 was way too sweet, and did not taste like fresh strawberries. I also tried the pomegranate martini, and it was so artificial and sweet, it tasted like a jolly rancher. I wound up sending it back and just getting Prosecco (and I never do that!). I also nibbled at the complementary corn bread. I don't know what it was, possibly something in the cocktails, but later that night I had some of the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced. My boyfriend and I shared everything we ate prior to Wildfire, and he wasn't sick, so I know it was something at this establishment that made me sick. It was truly so terrible, I was sick all night. 3 stars for sneaking in a 3% charge onto the bill. Almost missed it, as I'm sure is intended. Finally saw at the bottom of the page you can ask for that fee to be removed, I did. It's not a lot of money, but it's because they want customers to pay for increased costs. The added fee does not go to your server. If the restaurant has increased costs, they should update their menus, don't sneak in a surcharge. I know that means they have to update their menus, but these days you don't even have to have a hard copy menu. To be cliché-- it really left a bad taste in my mouth. Bad move. When the server first came, he put down some yummy cornbread. Nice touch. My server was great. My turkey sandwich was delicious. It even had cucumbers in it: I love that. It came with a side of coleslaw that I didn't expect and I could pick a different side if I didn't want french fries - - I got a baked sweet potato that was delicious. To get back to the added 3% fee, with Fairfax County passing an additional 4% food tax on eating out beginning in 2026 (for a total of 10%), the restaurant's added 3% is going to really add up. People are really going to think twice now about going out to eat; food and service are going to have to be impeccable. read more

My friend and I came here for restaurant week, because we love using restaurant week to try different steak places. I didn't realize when we picked it that it is located at the Galleria on the 3rd level. The inside of the restaurant is dark, moody, and feels like an upscale steak place. They gave us a large booth to sit at which was kind of awkward for two people. The service was okay, but parts of it were really slow. The servers were way more focused on the large group of teenagers by us. For the table, they give you a basket of cornbread. It was very good, though they put a bit too much corn in it. I got the berry cherry mojito for the drink, the flavor was refreshing and not too minty. For my appetizer, I got the shrimp and and crab bisque. The bisque was delicious and creamy, and it didn't have any shells. I got the petite filet mignon for my entree. The steak was cooked really well. I didn't get a crust but they are apparently known for their crusts. I wish I got one it would have added some excitement to my entree, the steak was missing a little flavor. I got mashed potatoes on the side and they were nice and creamy. For desert I had the key lime pie, which was a perfect amount of lime without being too limey. read more

The steak isn't cut into strips, but it was so tender I didn't have to fight to eat it. Salad size small feeds 2 people, while a large feeds 3-5. My friend tried to order the large to share with me, and the server shut her down, hard- not impolitely but definitely made it known that two girls cannot finish a large. Sir, Ricardo, respectfully, I disagree, but fine. We waved the white flag after our meal because we left uncomfortably full. Other things I liked: mashed potatoes, yum. Roasted mushroom caps, omg. Bottomless cornbread, yum. This restaurant adds a 3% service fee (bottom of receipt) and it doesn't go to servers. You can ask to have it removed. We went to Wildfire for a friend's 40th birthday. It's a decent steakhouse, but nothing memorable. Started with drinks at the bar; a martini and old fashioned. Both were ok but not great. Ordered calamari as well, which was delicious, fresh, and hot! It was a little weird that the host stand was on the opposite end of the restaurant from the front door. We ordered shrimp cocktail, a "small" caesar (which was anything but) and the flank steak and prime rib.
