How I wish you can smell these great food selection!
Mary L.

I cannot remember what the menu is but those are Delmonico & Porterhouse steak, cod, brussel sprouts & broccolini! With an appetizer of oysters & calamari! The dessert is to die for especially the soufflé (we did not listen when they asked if we want it prepped ahead of time as they do take 20min to be prepped...but surely worth the wait!) and the crème brûlée is magnifique The staff service is phenomenal! The Ambiance is exceptional! I feel I am in the movies being served exceptionally well! A restaurant that you would love to celebrate your special occasion, have a date or just have a great time! We will be back for more!

Three words Flawless, Luxurious, and Satisfying I have been to a lot of great restaurants in the area, this spot is hands down one of the best. The ambiance is Timeless, Refined, and Inviting. The decor leans into understated luxury: supple seating, clean, and tasteful art that enhance the experience rather than compete with it. The steak program is the centerpiece, and wow what a steak. Expect expertly marbled with chef kiss cuts that arrive juicy, properly rested, and grilled to perfection. The lamb chops will also blow your mind with meaty bones, flavor topped with special sauce. The sides (Grilled Broccolini and Mushroom Pan Roast) elevate the experience without overshadowing the main event. Shout out to my waiters Justin and Pinto for their level of attentive, knowledgeable, and thoughtfulness. This spot is what I call a classic elevated experience. It stands out for its unwavering commitment to quality.

If you want a good meal, go to 801 Chophouse. If you want an experience, go to 801 Chophouse. If you want to feel special, go to 801 Chophouse. Moral of the story... go to 801 Chophouse. I clearly can't say enough good things about 801. I was in the area for a work trip and decided I wanted a good steak. 801 was the obvious solution. I decided to sit at the bar and was greeted by Susie... aka the world's best bartender. She was attentive, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The whole vibe of the restaurant is just that, friendly and welcoming. Everything is thoughtfully done, the cocktails, the food and even the bathroom! Being a solo diner at a steakhouse can be intimidating because of the portions. You want everything but can't eat it all. Susie was very proactive and let me know that some things can be ordered as a half portion. Perfect! That was permission to go overboard! I got 2 scallops, 1/2 a wedge salad, a whole steak, 1/2 Mac and cheese and 1/2 string beans. Everything was amazing! The sauce with the scallops was kind of sweet, kind of savory. It was the perfect balance to the scallops. Who doesn't love a good wedge salad? It was crisp, refreshing and had the perfect amount of everything. I forgot to mention the sourdough bread! So tasty! Perfectly crunch on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. I had to stop myself from eating it all. One of my things about a steakhouse are the sides and these didn't disappoint. I was torn between the broccolini and string beans. I ended up getting the string beans and Mac and cheese. The onions and bacon in the string beans really made the dish. The Mac and cheese was gooey, cheesy and delicious. On to the steak... I got the dry aged NY strip. It was More than enough for one meal. This was my first time ever getting a dry aged steak and won't be my last. For dessert I got the adult version of a PB&J. The blondie was rich and paired perfectly with the sorbet. I haven't even mentioned the drinks! Again, Susie was the best! All of her suggestions were spot on and her martinis... top notch! Not sure which was the highlight of my night, the food or the people (Dani & Susie!). Needless to say, I'll be back!

I had an amazing meal at 801 chophouse. We had the shrimp cocktail, calamari, French onion soup, filet mignon with broccolini, asparagus, and salmon. Everything was delicious with the exception of the salmon. I didn't have the filet mignon but my colleagues confirmed it was stellar. The desserts are house made and to die for! The only pictures I took that night as they were so beautiful and note worthy! They had the best, and most well cooked calamari I've ever had in my life. I'll definitely be back, but will avoid the salmon next time. Their happy hour specials are a great deal.

Had a lovely date evening here. We were seated at a booth in the bar area, felt very private. Nice ambience with warm, low lighting, but a lamp at your table so you can clearly read the menu and see your food without issue. This is a very expensive experience, but I believe the quality is at least what you would expect for the elevated price-point. We ordered a filet minion and prime rib and both were velvety. One side dish is plenty for 2 to 3 people depending on your appetite, so that was a little bit of a catch for the 2 of us, as we wanted the variety of a starch (mashed potatoes) and a vegetable (garlic spinach), but ended up with leftovers of both sides. Having size options on the sides would be helpful. Service was a little slow, water and tea refills were hard to get which was disappointing. Ironically we were able to get 2 plates of fresh bread easily and enjoyed that along side our oyster starter. Cannot speak to what the parking situation would usually be as we were able to get free street parking that may become more competitive when the neighboring construction is complete. I believe there is an underground parking garage right out front, but I am unsure what it costs. I believe they also offer a valet option.

An amazing steak along with great atmosphere, sign me up! Throw in supreme service and complementary valet, that's what you'll get at 801 Chophouse. Tyson's newest steakhouse, 801 resembles The Capital Grille more than Eddie V's, so it's definitely more of an old school vibe. 801 pays attention to every detail, so much so, they'll give you a play by play on each cut of steak that's offered. No need to make this a long review, the steaks, oysters, lamb chops and even their pork chops are mouthwatering. Try 801 Chophouse for your next fine dining experience, you will absolutely love it!

This was our first time at 801 Chophouse and I have mixed feelings. First impression, I was surprised to find out there was no valet. For a high end steakhouse, I expected a valet. There is a parking garage in the same building which the restaurant validates. The decor is very nice and reminds you of a traditional NYC steakhouse. After ordering and receiving the wedge salad we waited 40 minutes before getting our entrees. The waiter did provide updates and checked on us a couple times. He said the kitchen was backed up due to a group in another room. 40 minutes between salad and entree is inexcusable. The important part is the food was outstanding. The wedge salad and sourdough bread was delightful. The steaks were cooked to order and the pork chop with cider au jus was flavorful. The cheesecake was amazing. I would say it was slightly better than the Brooklyn Blackout Cake. I plan on going back for dinner, since this time was for brunch on Mother's Day. They did allow us to order from the brunch menu or the dinner menu which was nice. Had it not been for the long delay getting our entrees, our experience would have been perfect. I'm willing to give it another try.

Treated my bestie to a birthday dinner at 4pm. We opened the place up! Was greeted warmly and genuinely upon entry. They took our coats and seated us promptly. Suzy came from the bar to take care of us. She was a sweetheart! The table was cute, decorated with birthday wishes. Bestie loved it. It was her first time there and was immediately impressed with the superb service. Then I saw Robbie!! Yayyyyy, I was there last month celebrating my birthday not feeling my best so Robbie offered to make me a hot toddy!! Whew weee, it was just what I needed, nice and strong with plenty honey!! Ahhh the memories but I digress. Robbie greeted us, asked what we ordered and was glad to see us. It was nice to see a familiar face. Another staff member stopped by to greet and chat with us. My bestie assumed I'm a regular and that they personally know me. LOL. That's not it, the staff is genuinely nice, personable and provides extraordinary service! We started with the calamari and warm bread!!! I had the surf and turf and she the shellfish pan roast, pan roast mushrooms, truffle fries! It was plentiful feast!! Everything was beyond delicious!! Bestie enjoyed herself and rarely indulges so this was a real treat! Thanks to the staff for making her bday special! We'll see you again!

Great service and cute date night spot. They offer free valet parking, but we parked on the street. We enjoyed the sour bread dough as a starter. You could tell the bread was fresh. We ordered the ribeye and the pork chop as entrees. The meats were cooked well but the green beans were overcooked. The portions are huge! Overall we had a pleasant experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. The complimentary valet pulling up was excellent and we walked in to an extremely friendly hostess who checked our coats. Our waiter, Grant, was very friendly and personable from the moment we sat down. He provided us with some water and bread to give us time to look over the menus. When we made our wine selection, he poured our glasses for us and always ensured they didn't run empty. The food was top tier!! We had filet, mashed potatoes, broccolini and lobster mac and cheese. Everything came out hot and tasted perfect!! We had an excellent first experience here and would highly recommend.

Alexa Play Magic by Coldplay I wanted to come try this place with my better half but catching up with an old friend of twenty years plus, had me here in VA trying 801 Chophouse without my heartbeat. We dined at the bar like old bar buddies. Old Friends and dinner means the bar option. Let's start off with ambiance, beautiful restaurant. Even dining at the bar was elegant. Service, impeccable! The manager made sure to greet us, ask how dinner was going several times. Staff were super attentive. Let's get into it! House Wedge - PERFECT Crab cake - One of the best I've had Petit Filet - Great Green beans - Good Hash browns with Cheese- Okay Overall, this place is great, I'm definitely returning with my foodie partner in crime but we'll do the romantic way and get a booth, share food, and take pictures like the foodies we are. Price is at Fine Dining price point but worth it! Meal for two $380 with gratuity. Good to Note: Parking is free! Valet service at that! Classy classy! My type of restaurant! Magical For Sure! Only reason it's 4 stars is because food needed salt on a few items. Really I'd give them a 4.5!!!!

I will say the restaurant is elegant and beautiful, and the food was savory and sweet just amazing, but it is the staff who went above and beyond to make the high tea memorable. This is my third bridal shower. I have given at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson's corner, and I would go no other place. Let me start out by mentioning a few exceptional people. I started planning this in the beginning of the year and Sriram Hariharan is one of the most giving, caring and supportive person I know. He put me in touch with all the right resources. He would follow up to see how things are going. I would say his detail to customer service and experience is exceptional. Next is Rohit Ray who assisted every step of the way helping me with my attendee numbers , the set up design and more. He was there throughout the whole party. Rohit's kindness and grace that is unwavering. Finally, our server Astrid. She oversaw my last shower in January and I know we were in good hands when I saw her last Saturday. she is truly A+. She made sure the event went smoothly. Was proactive in helping us get things organized, and when one of the guests reported she was a vegetarian she made changes so her tea party food was vegetarian. The entire celebration was impeccable. I had 26 people attend and one person shared they've experienced three high teas in London and the experience at this party was the best one yet. After the party ended, I received so many calls telling me how elegant the party was, how exceptional the service was. And how wonderful all the food was. I will give honorable mention to Smail and the director of valet who helped us bring up the party favors and flowers and more. my heart is full. It was a magical experience we will continue to talk about.

Came out in the ceramic tray that reminded me of when I had escargot. The mushroom was chunky with crab and crème spinach in the middle topped off with couple of shrimps and light coating of panko. Really delicious. For our main course we split a wood grilled pork chop and mushroom with gnocchi in truffle sauce. The pork chop was seasoned really well and I don't think I have ever eaten a pork chop that tender. Dipping the pork chop in the truffle sauce and eating it with some gnocchi was a delicious combo. Service was great. We were easily accommodated when we requested to move to a different table…read moreaway from the door ( it was cold and damp and every time the door opened cold wind blasted inside, even with the double doors). It was much appreciated. As for the food it was hit and miss. Our husbands had the short rib raviolis and-although it was flavorful, there was not enough meat inside the raviolis nor were there enough raviolis to justify the price tag. Since the sauce was extremely flavorful I forced my husband to share some of the skimpy sauce to dip my pizza crust on it. Luckily the guys had enough of the wonderful fried mozzarella and bread to not be grumpy. One tip that our whole party agreed on was that the sauce was better suited if it was paired with chunks of lobsters instead of of the stuffed short rib raviolis. I was happy with size of my thin crust pizza and it was way more than I could eat. However, I am not sure if I was actually ok with how the ingredients were divided jn the quarter a fourth of the pizza contained olives ,another fourth was the mushrooms, ,another fourth was the prosciutto and for the life of me I could not remember the fourth ingredient. I'm still ponedering whether I am a fan of this. My friend had the Marguerite pizza and she was extremely satisfied with it. As to the place itself, it's nothing fancy, it's just your typical pizza place in a strip mall. It's just ok. One thing I noticed about it is the dim lighting, but to be fair it's a normal complaint for most eating establishments. We all had to break out our IPhone flashlights to read the menu. I wish most eateries would have a dimmer switch by your table so that when you are ordering, there is sufficient lighting as you read the menu and when done can be adjusted to mood lighting. I noticed most of the upper forties and up patrons did the same thing as us when ordering.
