Small quiet cafe. Ordered the prosciutto mozzarella, and tomato, basil and balsamic sandwich, and while it was good, there was no prosciutto on it. Then when I asked why there was no prosciutto, they said "oh we are out of that sandwich but we could charge you one dollar more for it [prosciutto]". If they were out of the sandwich they should've told me that before I ordered and paid for it. I also don't understand that if they were out of that sandwich why would I have to pay for prosciutto? Just add it to the already premade sandwich! The sandwich was $7.75. I didn't get nor was I offered a refund. Very disappointed in their customer service. The coffees, however, were very good and flavorful.

I went by yesterday around noon and the selection was quite thin, a few muffins and that was it. I left, disappointed.

My husband has been stopping by Bagel Market on his way to work to pick up bagels for his team…read more Today, he unfortunately lost his wallet and panicked, so he called the shop. The staff immediately checked their video footage and found that it had fallen between the tables. Faith in honest, kind people restored. Thank you to the owner for taking the time to help--truly above and beyond. You're the best, and we'll definitely be coming by even more often! And yes, their bagels are awesome!

I stopped by about an hour before closing, which may have impacted my experience. By that time, a lot of the bagels were already sold out. That said, the menu was very extensive with tons of bagel sandwich options and other items. There's also some indoor seating, and they sell a variety of snacks, drinks, and bottled waters--almost like a small convenience store. This definitely seems like a great spot for a quick breakfast on the go. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. One suggestion I'd make is to invest in paper menus or QR code menus--the menu was a bit hard to read, especially with so many options. I ordered three onion bagels to go, along with a container of plain cream cheese and a smaller chive cream cheese. Unfortunately, the bagels were disappointing. They were pretty hard and didn't have much onion flavor at all. On the bright side, the cream cheese was amazing--both the plain and chive were super creamy and flavorful, easily the highlight of my visit. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but probably closer to opening hours in hopes of getting fresher bagels. I can see why people like it, and I think timing really matters here.

I did not see it on the menu - so I asked if they had cold brew. They don't make a cold brew - but it was pointed out to me they had cans of cold brew in the refrigerated beverage cooler. Not what I wanted. I was offered iced coffee - which those of you that know - understand there is a vast gulf between iced coffee and cold brew. I ordered a large dark roast coffee - and a breakfast burrito. The menu listed that among the burritos ingredients is cheese - I requested extra cheese in my burrito - as it seems that often I cannot tell there is any cheese in a given burrito. The coffee was somewhat disappointing - rather average - but I guess I should not be surprised by that. The burrito was delivered to my table - wrapped in foil. I asked about hot sauce and the server person brought me 3 bottles to choose from - I selected the Habanero hot sauce. I cut the burrito in half - it looked like it had zero cheese in it - and I certainly could not taste any cheese. The whole thing was rather bland. It needed seasoning. So I added hot sauce and black pepper in an attempt to make it more interesting. I would come back and try some of the other breakfast items in hope of finding something more flavorful. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. #KatiesCoffeeHouse

Here's a polished Yelp Elite-style version with a natural, engaging tone:…read more Bethesda Bagels in Rockville is hands-down one of the best spots for bagel sandwiches in the area. My go-to is the sausage and scrambled egg on a multigrain bagel; it never disappoints. You can actually watch them making fresh bagels, and it shows. The texture is spot on, perfectly chewy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Everything tastes fresh, and service is quick, even during busy times. The staff is always friendly, which makes the experience even better. Their cream cheese is excellent, too rich, flavorful, and a noticeable step up from the typical grocery store options. They also carry cookies and other treats from local vendors, which are definitely worth trying if you have a sweet tooth. If you're craving a solid bagel sandwich, this is the place to go. Bonus: free parking makes it an easy stop.

6/29/26: Bethesda Bagels is a solid option if you're looking for a filling breakfast or lunch, but…read moreI don't think it quite lives up to all the hype. I ordered the BLAT bagel sandwich, which came with bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, red onion, and cream cheese on a fresh bagel. The sandwich was filling and had generous portions of bacon and avocado, but overall I thought it was just good, not something I'd go out of my way for. I also paired it with an iced coffee, which was exactly what I expected from a standard cold brew. The shop was busy and the staff kept the line moving, and there are plenty of bagel sandwich options on the menu. My biggest downside was the price. It's on the expensive side for what you get, and while the quality was good, I didn't feel it justified the cost. Overall, Bethesda Bagels is worth trying if you're in the area, but I wouldn't consider it a destination bagel shop. The food was good, just not memorable enough for me to make it a regular stop.
