Revisited Mirabeau yesterday morning for breakfast and enjoyed their strawberry Matcha. I ordered their Ganush meal with dipping bread and it was just ok to me. I would probably opt in for a pastry or croissant like item next time. Service is quick and staff are very helpful in their recommendations. A small cafe but good place to meet up in a small group.
Such a charming café with excellent baked goods! This place offers a wide variety of pastries, sweet treats, and savory breads. The service was also efficient and friendly. There were so many tempting options to choose from, but we decided on the focaccia and the pistachio cream puff. The focaccia was fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, not greasy or overly seasoned. The pistachio cream puff was a pleasant surprise. The filling had a rich, authentic nutty flavor and a natural brown-green color, rather than the artificial taste and bright coloring often found in pistachio desserts. The choux pastry itself was light, airy, and moist, which I really enjoyed. The coffee was also quite good and paired nicely with the pastries. I visited on a weekday afternoon and had no trouble finding street parking or a table to enjoy my food. I'll definitely be back to try more items from their bakery case!
Lovely cafe with light lunch options, pastries and cakes. Street parking on Sunday is free and a few outdoor seating. The peanut butter latte is divine if you love all things peanut butter. It adds just a touch of saltiness and nuttiness to a regular latte and is not sweet at all. We also got the Harry's berries strawberry cake. Best strawberries and the cake itself is quite dense but also very smooth, feels luxurious. Will be back!
I might describe this place as a more practical cafe... not much ambiance but has small tables and one sofa area. We ordered flat white with oat milk. They are 10 oz and served in paper cups. So no "here" coffee mugs. Yet we came here to sit for a bit. So more of a take away feel. The coffee was not my favorite but it could be my tastebuds ... it just had a slight edge to it at the end of each sip. I think it is an after taste that I don't like... Service was quick! And while we could not enjoy the pastries, they looked delicious. Check out the whole apple pie! Whoa.

This was SO good! Seriously the best madeleine of my life -- the citrus and cardamom notes in madeleine were both perfect and overall not too sweet, which is highest praise I can give for a treat :) The espresso is excellent too -- strong but not bitter. The folks behind the counter were so nice and overall place is cozy, cute and spacious at same time. Can't wait to come back, just wish I were closer!
What a cute little cafe! Located by a metro stop & apartment complex, this cafe offers caffeine, sandwiches, sweet treat & tons of pastries! There's limited seating inside and parking is paid and on the street (a dollar for 30mins). My favorite thing to get here is the ham and cheese croissant and the chocolate croissant. The service is fast and the baristas are friendly. I recently tried the shortcake and it was sweet & delicious! The prices are a bit steep but it's fun to treat yourself!
Lovely coffee shop a little off the beaten path in Rockville. Solid selection of coffees and a great selection of absolutely delicious pastries. Service was friendly and quick! Worth stopping by. Parking on street and a garage right across the street.
Loved the decor of Mirabeau! I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of their quiche. It had mushrooms and spinach (and lots of cream/cheese)! It was incredibly rich and delicious. My cappuccino was also fantastic. A bit pricey, but worth it for a weekend treat.
12.13.24 I looked at previous reviews and photos and had this bakery on my list to try for some time. I specifically wanted to try their almond croissant. Unfortunately, coming at 3 PM one hour before they close was a mistake. I was disappointed that their inventory was very limited. I only had a few desserts to choose from. I decided to go with the tiramisu. It was very good. They have limited indoor and patio seating. They also have street parking and a parking garage across the street. If you park in the garage, there is a phone number to dial to have the gate open. The first two hours are free. I enjoyed my tiramisu, however, I wouldn't return given that it's not too accessible to where I work. I would be more inclined to return if they had an extensive menu and greater quantities in stock so that I could try a variety of desserts.

I was told the peanut butter latte here was delicious, and since I've been on the hunt for a good one in the DMV area, I had to check it out. The café was peaceful and quiet on a Saturday morning, with the comforting smell of freshly baked goods filling the air. I loved the seating options, especially the cozy window spots and outdoor tables. We ordered the peanut butter latte, a ham and cheese scone, and a fig cake. They offer to warm up the pastries. The fig cake was recommended by one of the staff members, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The peanut butter latte was smooth and not overly rich or heavy. I did enjoy the latte, but I would probably try a different drink next time. Prices were reasonable, and the service was warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try more of their desserts.
A cute, hidden gem! I didn't realize this was right in Rockville, near Twinbrook station. A quaint cafe, there are a few tables, and a couch sitting area. The display had baked goods, signage for sandwiches, and a chalkboard with coffee and drinks. The matcha latte was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the ham and cheese croissant! I would love to go back and try one of their sandwiches.
Original little coffee spot with bespoke pastry offering. Quiet, Quaint, Hip, Friendly service. Worth a stop if you're passing through.
How can a place keep getting better? By making one of the best cakes I've ever had. Recently tried their earl grey fig cake slice and got reminded how light and creamy a cake can be. So good.... Also, the black sesame chocolate chip was solid (slightly saltier than a regular cookie) but definitely recommend to eat whatever cake slice they are selling first. Honestly, if I ever see a cake slice next time I go, I'm ordering it along with my usual peanut latte (get it hot! I just tried it hot recently and it's significantly better than iced) and croissant sandwich. read more

Loved the decor of Mirabeau! I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of their quiche. It had mushrooms and spinach (and lots of cream/cheese)! It was incredibly rich and delicious. My cappuccino was also fantastic. A bit pricey, but worth it for a weekend treat. read more

Just stopped into this cute little cafe to get some coffee. Small little shop with pastries and sandwiches. I didn't get any food items but they look really good! I'll have to come by another time to try. The pumpkin spice latte is really good! Very flavorful and perfectly sweetened. The service is really fast we didn't have to wait too long to get our order. There's street parking but there is metro parking nearby if you come on a weekend. read more

I am on the hunt for a matcha when I am on the go. I think I have found a contender but I would say always get a strawberry flavored one if you're skeptical! This had great flavor. I also tried the caramalized onion and bacon scone. It was delicious. I would come here again to try some of their other pastries. Drink menu looked great too! read more

This little cafe was a cool find! Looking for a light bite after church, it was indulgent and great quality. The lattes are very good (without sweetener!), and the apple Brie and bacon on croissant was just the right balance of crusty croissant, crispy bacon, gentle Brie and crispy apple. I asked them to hold the maple syrup because I thought it would be too sweet- glad I did because it was just right. The ham and cheese twist was a great savory snack. The prices were on par with other places. A pleasant stop with great ambience tucked away in this walkable small area, we'll be back! read more

The hardest part of this place is the parking. Once you are okay with calling to get into the garage (which is 2 hours free), it isn't bad. Coming in, you have either outdoor or inside seating. A large area for walking and wandering and standing in line. It's a nice vibrant place and relaxing with trees blocking the harsh sun coming in. It's a good spot to meet up for some quiet time to chat with a friend. The coffee and tea isn't bad. I think this is a spot you would choose to get away from the overly busy spots. I am thinking of the overcrowded places like Pike and Rose that can really detract from the experience. I would come back. read more

I love this cafe. The people who are irk there are always friendly and helpful. The service is great. Most importantly, the food and drink are brilliant. They bring me joy and comfort. I don't live particularly close to Mirabeau, but I make the trek when I can because it's lovely. I love the peanut latte and most of the food I've tried. read more

Small, quaint cafe behind Rockville Pike. They have maybe half a dozen tables inside and a few outside for patrons to sit. We paid for parking using the meters outside. We ordered a coffee cake ($4.50), chicken turnover ($6.75), bacon chive scone ($4.50), basque cheesecake ($6.75), cold brew ($4.50), and matcha latte ($4.75). The chicken turnover and basque cheesecake were standouts! The chicken turnover was warmed, well-filled, and flavorful, and the cheesecake wasn't too sweet and delicious. We thought the coffee cake and scone were dry and would probably choose something else. However, we would return to try their other pastries and seasonal drinks next time! read more
I enjoyed every aspect of this little Parisian inspired bakery this am. From the cheerful and bright exterior yellow paint, to the quiet hum inside the store full of whimsical colors and piano sonatas playing over the speakers. The menu was really impressive too. I struggled to decide what I wanted. I was between the apple, brie, and bacon croissant....or something a bit sweeter. The second the lady behind the counter told me the Bretonne Galette was like a shortbread cookie, I was sold. Notable mentions include an earl grey and strawberry lite layered cake, pistachio creme puff, and many of their savory croissants and sandwiches. The drinks were also tough to decide on. I wanted something unique and boy did I find it! The Kumquat iced Earl grey tea was so deliciously tart and spiced. I could see the real pulp at the bottom of the cup, no fake flavors! For peanut butter lovers the PB latte sounded interesting too. This spot doesn't seem overly SUGARY but sweetened just right and with good quality ingredients. I also grabbed a Martinelllis glass apple juice. I'm a sucker for a good apple juice in the am. I liked the refrigerated options and seemingly curated and carefully selected items. Recycling can was a nice touch too for the glass and plastic :) would love to return! Many loyal customers hopped in for their regular items and clearly this is a treasured spot! read more

Cute, small bakery. Not too many coffee drink options, but my iced cafe latte was good. Also got the almond croissant and creme brûlée donut, which were both delicious as well. My order was ready right away, but my friend's sandwich did take a little bit longer because it needed some prep but I thought her wait was a bit long (and it wasn't busy). Not a lot of seating inside, but there are a few tables outside. Two parking garages nearby (free for the first two hours). read more

My fellow matcha lovers understand the feeling of ordering a matcha at a new cafe and holding their breath, hoping they didn't just pay $7 for an iced milk. Have no fear at Mirabeau! I had a wonderful vanilla matcha not 1, but 3 times here as I'm visiting friends in the area and it has been consistently high quality each time. They also have wonderful pastries, I especially the chicken turnover and jamón beurre! read more

Casual little café tucked away in the middle of different shops, the vivid yellow door was so cute. The iced vanilla latte was on the creamier side, but the vanilla flavor taste was nicely balanced and I appreciated how I didn't taste artificial notes. They only offered one size for the drinks, and it was very small (in my opinion, but I'm used to drinking large coffees like 30oz). The chicken turnover had creamy chicken, potatoes, corn, and onion, and was very flavorful. Tasted like a hearty soup in a flaky pastry! Seating is very limited with about 3-4 small tables and a sofa seating area. I was amused at how the chairs they had were the size of the ones we used to use in middle school. Staff was very friendly! Will come back here to try their other pastries. read more
Wonderful cafe in Rockville. I love stopping by here in the mornings. I love the relaxed vibe of the place and how it's well lit. The workers there are always so polite and very quick to serve. I always order a cold brew and a doughnut, but if they run out of the doughnut you can't go wrong with any of their other baked goods or sandwiches. Definitely my favorite coffee shop/cafe. read more
Quiet cafe in Twinbrook with amazing coffee and baked goods. Stopped by here on a rainy Tuesday morning and it wasn't busy. I ordered a cafe latte and crème brûlée donut. The donut was fluffy and not overly sweet. The latte was a perfect temperature and velvety smooth. They use Zeke's coffee which has great beans. Plenty of seating inside although the tables are a little small. If you're looking for a calm, quiet place to enjoy your coffee or read, this is it. There is 30 min paid street parking right in front. There's also a garage across the street (free 2 hours) and the metro parking lot (free on weekends). Definitely coming back here to get more coffee and try one of the sandwiches. read more

Decided to try Mirabeau for brunch because of its stellar reviews. It was a bit smaller than expected with limited seating, but very quaint and aesthetic. The pastry and drink prices are definitely on the higher side. The bacon and chive scone intrigued me, but it turned out to have no chives and just bacon and cheese. It was okay - a bit dry. My friend enjoyed the chocolate croissant and tuna sandwich - the sandwich especially was more reasonably priced and really yummy. I would recommend this. Service was okay - nothing notable. There might've been a bit of a language barrier. I'm not sure if I'd make my way back here - maybe for the sandwiches! read more
Cute store with good drinks but small sizes and no vegan food options. This store is adorable and very clean. There are lots of food options but everything had some kind of dairy in it which was disappointing. The drink I got was absolutely delicious but it was 95% ice and very small considering it was $5. read more
Cute bakery and cafe. The pastries are fantastic! We tried the ham and cheese croissant which was so buttery and flaky. The crème brûlée donut was also really good--an exceptionally fluffy donut with tasty cream. The coffee was good though not exceptional. Only complaint was my vanilla latte didn't have much vanilla flavor. Not a ton of seating but still wasn't too hard to find a place. Lovely breakfast! read more
