The food was really good! The service was great and the ambiance was lovely. We had Matcha Latte, Avocado Toast, breakfast sandwich and Blue Thyme Coffee Soda ( yes that dark pink drink) it was sooo good. I highly recommend you give a try it! It will suprise you of how good it is!

The space is cozy and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to hang out for a while. A lot of coffee, tea, and and breakfast sandwich options. I ordered the fig tree latte. Lightly sweet, earthy, and perfectly balanced. The fig flavor wasn't overpowering, and the espresso still came through smoothly.

Smooth espresso coffee, and a nice selection of pastries, plus breakfast eggs and sandwiches. Great cafe, and it holds its own amongst many in walking distance. Take public transit here, or pay $1.75/hr to park in the public lots (or $4/hr if you prefer private?). Friendly staff, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, lots of natural light. Single stall accessible restroom.

The coffee and breakfast sandwich were really good. I just feel like it's a bit overpriced. The cashiers were super friendly and parking in the public garage is easy. I will come back to try some different specialty drinks, but I would appreciate if the breakfast sandwich sandwiches weren't as expensive.

Focaccia scrambled eggs and cheese - added prosciutto

I stopped into Simona Café early Thursday morning before catching the Vamoose bus to New York, and it was the perfect start to my day. I hadn't grabbed breakfast before leaving the house, so I was relieved to find a cozy café right around the corner from the bus stop. This spot brought back memories--it used to be a Starbucks I went to when I worked in an office nearby about 8 years ago. Now transformed into Simona, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome as I walked in and the inviting vibe: people reading newspapers, working on laptops, or enjoying a quiet coffee. Although I originally didn't plan on ordering coffee (I wanted to nap on the bus), I couldn't resist trying their espresso. Served in a glass cup, it was excellent--smooth with bright citrus notes. I also ordered the scrambled egg and cheese on focaccia, added prosciutto, and loved how unique and delicious it was. I spent ~$17 for the sandwich and espresso. I grabbed a seat by the window, which made for a perfect morning--espresso in hand, breakfast on the table, and people-watching as the city came alive. Before heading to line up for the bus, I stopped by the restroom, and I have to call it out: clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for--something I really appreciate when traveling. Overall, Simona is a gem in downtown Bethesda. Whether you work nearby or are like me, waiting for the Vamoose bus, it's a fantastic spot to fuel up with quality food and coffee. I'll definitely be back.

This place was great! Went for the first time this week for breakfast and got the baklava latte and The Wilson (egg and cheese on house-made focaccia) with avocado. The sandwich was so good I literally went to the grocery store to buy things to try to replicate it. Will definitely be back!

A hot chocolate with a beautiful foam design! Seriously best hot EVER !!!!

We picked an apple fritter, rustic wheat mini loaf (custom sliced), blueberry muffin and the gingerbread man cookie! All super good. He recommended this place and wow, I don't know how it wasn't already on my radar! It's in a plaza with a parking lot and free spaces (thank goodness), so I was able to walk in without much worry. I will say though, that it was lunchtime so it was quite quite busy haha. As soon as I stepped inside, a rush of sweet aromas caught my attention. So many lovely treats were on display... it was almost overwhelming. I saw something that I rarely see -- cronuts. CROISSANT DONUTS. And not only was that a thing, but it had a chocolate drizzle! That was a definite. I was struggling to decide a second item until I saw them replenish a tray of black & white cookies. They looked so fresh and tasty I couldn't resist. I ate both when I got home. The cronut had tasty flaky layers with the sweet glaze that I loved. And the cookie was melting in my mouth. I... I enjoyed it all so much I could've cried. Must return and try more!

I've been here twice and disappointed both times. The weekend hours are a bit odd as the kitchen sharply closes at 4pm and the staff isn't that friendly. I ordered the Avocado Tartine. While the Avocado Tartine looked like a beautiful and vibrant work of art, it was all show and no substance. It's cringing there's an upcharge for a sunny-side egg for avocado toast (reluctantly paid for it! ) as well as the herbed feta (I passed on the feta cheese). The avocado was under ripe and the toast was burnt on the edges. While I appreciate receiving 2 large pieces of toast, it wasn't worth paying over $15 for such a simple dish poorly executed. The Shashuka weekend special was okay, and wish it came with warm whole wheat bread. The Papa's Bowl was overloaded with home fries and not enough eggs, avocado or sauce. The Martha Stewart Pomegranate Punch (non-alcoholic) and the boozy Rockaway Rhubarb Daquiri were both good. The S'mores cookie was the best part of the meal! Will come back just for the pastries and the boozy drinks!
