    Almond and Pear Tarte
    Rebecca C.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Great options for dining in and taking out. Lovely spot to pick up a few breakfast patties, easy lunch, or fancy dessert. The pecan almond tarte is exceptional. Hands down the most authentic, tasty, thinly perfect pastry with a rich flavor. Also enjoyed the regular brioche and the mango passionfruit cake!

Cafe with a bunch of freshly baked pastries & drink options + a few hot food options as well I came here for breakfast with my fiance and we each got an iced coffee & a pastry. We both really enjoyed everything we tried. The space is pretty small, though they do have a few tables inside and even more outside.

Decadent Pastries/Strong Tasty Mocha Too! Boulangerie Christope a french inspirited bakery/bistro in Cabin John Shopping Center-Potomac, MD. First visit w/friend last Saturday-more visits to come. We each ordered Flan. She-vanilla, me chocolate. She liked the rich lightly sweet vanilla flavor/creamy texture. I enjoyed the rich chocolate flavor-think eating a cool creamy hot chocolate. My First time trying a chocolate flan-decadent. I also ordered a Mocha-rich creamy cocoa/coffee/milk-well balanced flavor. Generous portions too. Friendly courteous customer service. The shop was buzzing w/energy. Sunny day... Bright airy interior-a few tables chairs for dining in. We scored a table by the window. Nice outdoor seating area also available & popular that day-seating full. Display cases full of sweet & savory treats/eats. See Photos!

A bit disappointed with the blandness of my dish. It was just ok. The service was great but the place is a bit too cramped. Most of the seating is outside and in the winter no one really want to sit out. There really is not a place to linger and savor your pastries and coffee

I must say ....one of my favorite spots!! All of the desserts were delicious! We went close to 7:00 pm and they still tasted fresh. They also sell bread, sandwiches and more. There is plenty of parking and seating inside. I will def be going back :-)

It's a cute little bakery with friendly staff, but I don't stay for long since indoor seating is pretty limited. The only thing I typically get here is the apple pastry pictured in this review.

The food at Boulangerie Christophe is excellent for lunch. It's a lovely cafe filled with imported French items. The sandwiches are made fresh and taste delicious. Note that heating the sandwiches can take a little time so remember this when dining with others. If you want to eat there, my advice to be strategic about your timing. Getting there before noon or after 1 pm increases your chances of getting one of the six tables.

After dinner, looking for a sweet treat, we wound up at Boulangerie Christophe, feeling really fancy. But never mind the fancy name, this place has some great desserts! My favorite was the chocolate eclair - light, flaky bready shell filled with chocolate mousee-like cream and layered with a dark chocolate stripe down the middle. It was too good not to share. A raspberry torte and a chocolate layered treat rounded out our dessert box and left me with high-calorie goodness for the rest of the evening. If you're in Cabin John and looking for some great desserts, step into Boulangerie Christophe and give your sweet tooth a workout, you'll be glad you did!

Great selection of fancy patisserie or dainty pastries as I call it. My friends and I enjoyed a galore of pastries - Coffee Tartlette, Le Victorian, Delico Pistachio, Raspberry Macaroon, Opera, and Almond Croissant. The pastries were good, just not spectacular. Of all the pastries, the Delico Pistachio was my favorite with a crunchy hazelnut bottom and reminded me of tiramsu with a pistachio filling instead of coffee. The Le Victorian had a subtle ginger and pineapple taste with a sweet whipped cream. The Opera tasted like chocolate mousse. Unsurprisingly, the Coffee Tartlette had a bold coffee flavor. The Raspberry Macaroon was adorable, but nothing special. The Almond Croissant was fluffy, but the filling was lacking a bit. Wish it had more of a creamy filling. The pastries were fun to try, but a bit pricey at $7.70/pastry. The service was a bit snooty and the 2 lines were a bit confusing. If you enjoy patisserie, recommend it! I'm more than an ice cream/cookie/cupcake dessert girl. If I'm in the area or near the Gtown location, I may come back to try a couple of more pastries.

It's a nice cute place next to Bank of America. There is lot of parking but it has so many restaurants and medical offices that finding parking can be sometimes of a challenge. I loved the Mille Feuille, it was amazing but if I have to rate everything is pretty expensive. Close to $4 for a small macaroon. One pastry is $8.5 + tax. I love their baguette too. Location is good, inside and outside seating available but kinda expensive.

Service is a hit or miss, but the desserts are gorgeous! They're on the pricey side but well worth it. Everyone in my family gobbles the individual pastries. I love how they have new additions every time I go so it doesn't get boring. They also sell lunch, it's very busy all day long. Sometimes I just get 1 of everything.

Stella's used to make my birthday cakes growing up; and while I wasn't fond of Napoleon, they were known for it. Well, not anymore. Not sure if they switched owners or lost the desire to make anything remotely tasty, but what on Earth happened?! The cake was stale, the fondant tasted like cheap candy, the sides were sunken so the middle had this odd protruding shape, the cream was tasteless, and it looked average at best. That's being generous. We were celebrating a special occasion only for it to be ruined by their vanilla cake. Everyone at the party looked confused. Like how did this happen? Who is baking? Which recipe are they using? I'm, in a word, appalled.

Because my family enjoys subtle--and not overpowering--sweetness in desserts, this European bakery offers the perfect selections. We consistently order the mousse cakes for celebrations and fruit tarts for smaller functions or just as a random treat. Cakes can be preordered (3 days ahead of pickup) or purchased on-site; they offer a complimentary custom message on the cakes. For certain holidays, such as Mother's Day, they offer heart-shaped cakes which makes the cake even more special. Our favorite cake to order is the white and dark chocolate mousse cake. We hardly ever have leftovers because everyone gets seconds or thirds the cakes are light, subtly sweet and airy. To be honest, everything I have had at Stella's is amazing, and I've had their cakes since childhood. The staff members are patient, kind and informative of serving instructions/suggestions. I visited the store on a Saturday afternoon. For those readers who are not familiar with the brand, King Arthur Baking Company is a well-known brand specializing in high-quality flours and other baking ingredients. They are particularly known for their unbleached, high-protein all-purpose flour and various other specialty flours like bread flour, cake flour, and gluten-free options. King Arthur is also recognized for its commitment to quality control, ingredients sourcing, and its history as a 100% employee-owned company. This store has an utilitarian decoration, with shelves and rows displaying a dizzying variety of King Arthur Flour products: boxed mixes for scones, muffins, breads and cookies of every kind. On display were also a variety of baking instruments, such as mixers (such as the Ankarsrum Original stand mixer, a famous Swedish known for their unique designs), measure spoons, containers, etc. The establishment was practically empty, with at least three employees, one of them engaged in animated conversation with someone whom may have been a client. The other two employees were behind the cashier counter, also engaged in a vary animated conversation... With each other. I walked around the store for about 20 minutes, taking pictures and making myself known. My expectation was that at least one of the employees would approach me to ask if I needed help. After all, this was a "pop-up" store, and companies, restaurants and shops temporarily open these as an branding excercise. I was not approached or even acknowledged by any of the people at the store. I hope that this behavior is an outlier for this store, because if this is what King Arthur Baking's customer service is, I do not foresee lasting much longer. Pictures attached.

It's clean and simple - just well stocked shelves and friendly staff. The employees checked if we needed help and were ready to explain all the 500 varieties of flour. (But then left us alone to shop) All good bakers know that King Arthur is a cut above every other brand. PLUS they're 100% employee owned and legitimately care about maintaining product quality over profit. If you're sick of everything getting crappier while corporations jack up prices, come spend money at one of the few companies doing things the right way. And then go spend money at Penzeys, which is also top quality with ethical ownership. :)

The pesto cream was generous and appetizing while the toasted pignolis added a much-needed crunch factor. I also tried the drunken veal parmigiana and carbonara special which were both specials I believe. The veal was topped with vodka sauce with a side of pasta. This was solid. The vodka sauce was flavorful but could have been a little spicier. The veal was tender but there needed to be more seasoning present. The pasta was tasty too. The carbonara had shrimp that were cooked ideally and was just a well put together dish. Again, the pasta was cooked to my liking. Will I go back? I would.

I had had Cronut in Vegas (at the Paris Hotel), but the ones here looked a little different so I wanted to try. Mistake. It was extremely greasy. The oil soaked through the paper plate and I had to squeeze the pieces I cut with napkins to get as much oil out as possible. I would give it a 2 star, it would have been good if not so oily. The egg tarts on the other hand deserved a 5 star. Love it. The latte tasted fine, but it took them a while to make it (almost 10 mins) and served in the normal paper cup, I was hoping for a nice latte art since it took so long. Overall it is a wonderful place to sit around and enjoy some quiet time, just don't get the cronut unless they cut down on the oil...
