This is the packed sandwich I've heard about...
    Becky L.

Been here a time or two now. I almost always get the pastrami on rye and it's been good but not great. Kind of fatty pieces and considering the price, it's not worth it in my opinion. Parking is okay and a little busy because of the other establishments in the area. Staff didn't really greet us or do anything in the service aspect. Sandwich to go was ready within 5-10 minutes on a Saturday night. Got a side pickle and small bag of chips with the sandwich, too.

    Menu items. So, many choices.

Attman's Delicatessen puts the deli in delicious! I have been craving a Reuben sandwich and onion rings. Today, I got my craving filled and boy, was it delicious. Lots of yummy corned beef, perfectly toasted rye bread, gooey melted cheese, sauerkraut, and tasty sauce. It was a perfect sandwich. I also ordered crunchy, crispy, onion rings which were excellent. My friend ordered the matzah ball soup with her sandwich. She said it was fabulous. She had the biggest matzah ball I have ever seen. She also ordered the pastrami sandwich and really enjoyed that too. Service was great! They have a large menu and we took some time to decide on our order. Our waitress was kind and professional. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed every bite. The deli was clean and comfortable. The pickle bar was very popular. So, why 4 stars, just the higher price. Good quality food and great service, but definitely a higher price than I am used too. But, I am sure to be back when I feel like a treat. Thank you, Attman's Deli!

I simply love Attman's! It is a wonderful location with amazing food. We had my daughter's bridal shower catered by Attman's. Everyone raved about the food! It was just perfect. Thank Attman's for helping to make my daughter's shower so delightful! I can't wait to go back!

This was a traditional Jewish deli that had tons of different options to choose from. They had overstuffed sandwiches to burgers to breakfast choices available all day. The order was placed on the phone and ready upon pickup. I went with the Stu's Saratoga Special ($21.99?). It was a triple decker sandwich with hot corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian dressing. This also came with a pickle and a side of chips. This was the smallest size to choose from, but it was still large specifically how much meat there was. Both meats were very tender and flavorful. My only issue with the sandwich was how soggy the bread was due to the amount of coleslaw and Russian dressing there was. The flavors made up for it though. Will I go back? Definitely.

Came here because the wait for a neighboring restaurant was over an hour - and we absolutely don't regret it! Don't know how we managed to beat the rush, but we got in just before noon. Seating capacity was comfortable and able to have a lot of diners without feeling too crowded. Service was super fast despite the busy-ness, and the food excellent! I had the congressional combo breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and the challah French toast - all amazing! And the pickle bar was super cute and tasty! We can't wait to come back!

Today 13 of my friends went to Attman's to celebrate a birthday. Earlier in the week I called and spoke with Oscar who assured me we would be set for 12 (last minute addition). I arrived 15 minutes early and was greeted by Ana (our STAR server) and her team as well as Oscar. They quickly set us up for 13 and the good times began. I am from Brooklyn and grew up eating kosher deli, this was GREAT. I will call out a few fan favs such as the rubens, of which many were ordered. The mediums were good for two people and they were delicious. The Knishes (not authentic Kabalas) were good too. They are soft, but the fillings are tasty. They have potato, meat and corned beef. The birthday guy ordered an Egg Cream. We we speak of Egg Cream's we bow our heads in reverence to a great and mighty drink. They use Fox's U-Bet which is like 90 percent of the effect. Ana, our amazing waitress combined it at the table in a way that was foreign to me. She bought a 4/5 glass of milk and a small cup of soda water and chocolate syrup. She mixed it table side, a nice entertainment feature. I love Ana so much and if she reads this I want her to know how we did it in the old country of Brooklyn at a soda shop. 3 squirts of U-bet in the cup, then the milk a bit more than 3/4, stir, then stir and add soda water. They were so lovely to cut up and serve the cake we brought. Overall the service was a 10 out of 10. Ana and her team were always asking if we needed anything else. The kept our cups full and were quick with requests. We will return. Recommended: Knishes, Rubens, Breakfasts and the fish platter. I would recommend more, but that was about what we had with a few salads (which were very good, but I never recommend a deli for salads). Thank you Oscar and Ana!!

My half pastrami sandwich. Ample size.

Well, I think I found it. There are some decent delis in Montgomery County, MD, but I think I need to put Attman's at the top of the list. Almost didn't come here, since I went to the Attman's at its previous Potomac location (years ago) and wasn't impressed. But two visits here have convinced me that this one is a keeper. First time here came and had a good breakfast. Omelet, potatoes, English Muffin and coffee. Good food and good service. Welcoming atmosphere and a pickle bar. Today, went back for the deli. After starting off with a stuffed cabbage - honestly, it brought back memories of spending time with my grandmother, although her gravy was sweeter - which was a nice size and filled with meat and other fillings and a good amount of tasty sauce. My partner thought the sauce was too sweet, but, funny to say, because my grandmothers sauce was so sweet, this tasted mildly sweet in comparison. My partner said they would get it again, but put less sauce on it. The cabbage and inside filling were outstanding. We each had the half deli sandwich with soup special ($16.99). We each had a half pastrami sandwich. I had the Maryland crab soup ($1 up charge on the special) and my partner had the Matzoh ball soup (also a $1 up charge). Both soups were delicious and large bowls. The crab soup was filled with vegis and each spoonful had bits of crab. The pastrami sandwich was good, too. Well seasoned pastrami. The Attman's deli mustard in squeeze bottle (on each table) was really good. The pickle bar is a nice touch. The bar has half sours, dill, pickled tomatoes, pickled onions and sauerkraut. I'm a big fan of full sour pickles, but they don't seem to be offered here, either at the pickle bar or at the deli counter. This place is definitely a winner, both for breakfast and lunch or dinner. Also likely will in the future take home some of their deli offerings, like whitefish salad and chopped liver, which they sell in an adjoining room. The servers were friendly and attentive.

Attman's Delicatessen - My Go-To for a Serious Deli Fix! If you're craving a real deli experience, Attman's Delicatessen might just be the best spot around. Corned beef is my all-time favorite, and here, they know how to do it right. The sizing options alone tell you they mean business: the *Gezunt* is a half-pound of meat, the *Fresser* is 3/4 pound, and if you're ready to go all out, the *Macher* is a full pound! I stick with the *Gezunt* -- it's perfectly filling, especially when you add mayo and pepper jack cheese on rye. It's one of those sandwiches that doesn't just fill you up but makes you feel like you're getting the full deli experience. We ordered our sandwiches to go, and as always, the staff was super friendly and efficient. On a beautiful day, we found some public picnic tables outside, and digging into that overstuffed sandwich in the sunshine just hit differently. Jasmine came along, and let's just say, she was impressed -- apparently, the deli scene in Alexandria doesn't quite compare. Attman's isn't just about a meal; it's an experience, packed into every bite of that corned beef. If you're around and craving a seriously satisfying sandwich, trust me, this is the place to be.

Our relatives took us here for some good old fashioned deli sandwiches on our visit. We were greeted by absolutely no one and waited for about 10 minutes to be seated. To our dismay, we were sat in the very back of the restaurant next to where the employees take their breaks in the sauna like back room. I can't explain the eye burning heat of the room. I attempted to move tables but again, couldn't locate anyone to ask. Our server made it abundantly clear this was not a job she wanted to do. She was seen rolling her eyes while the table next to us put in their orders. Food is good 3/5....service is tragic 0/5 None of the reviews are steering you wrong in the aspect. Order to go....

Great service. Excellent food. They have a pickle bar! I mean, I'd come here just for that! Clean bathrooms. Parking can be a challenge but it's doable. Matzo Ball soup was really good. Loved my corned beef sandwich. We'll be back!

I always stop at Attman's for a nosh when I'm nearby. I've never had a sandwich, bagel or anything that wasn't delicious. I love their deli style tuna fish (dry, no frills) and their corn beef sandwiches are divine! And the Reubens with the fresh rye bread? They're darn good! The salad platters are huge & look really fresh. That's next for me! With a bagel on the side of course. Service is great here. No requests seem to be too much.

I just saw Attman's at Park Potomac yesterday for the first time. In what used to be called Zoës, where were they before?

They started off in Baltimore. That seconds location was in Cabin John Shopping Mall on Tuckerman and Seven Locks Rd in Potomac. They moved to Park Potomac earlier this year.

Do they still have the Pickle bar at the new location?

Yes Sir they sure do and it's fantastic!!!!!

Dear Management, I…read moream writing to share my family's experience during our Father's Day visit to your restaurant. Unfortunately, what should have been a special celebration turned into a very disappointing experience due to the service we received upon arrival. We had a reservation for 4:00 p.m. When we arrived, the gentleman at the host stand was not welcoming or friendly. He simply told us to "step to the side" and that someone would assist us in a few minutes. As the minutes passed, we continued to wait without any communication. During that time, a white family of five walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately. At that point, I approached the host stand to ask what had happened and why we had not been seated despite having a reservation. The host searched for our reservation, asked what time it was scheduled for, and then casually stated, "I think someone stole your table." I was shocked by this response. I asked how that could happen if he was responsible for managing the seating. He had no explanation and, more importantly, never offered an apology for the mistake or the inconvenience. A manager later came over and asked what had happened. After I explained the situation, he appeared genuinely surprised and concerned by what had occurred. Once we were finally seated, our server acknowledged the delay and kindly offered us an appetizer because of the long wait at the front. We appreciated that gesture, but it did not change how unwelcome we had been made to feel upon arrival. I am writing this letter not because I am looking for compensation or anything in return. My purpose is simply to ensure that no other family has a similar experience, especially on a day meant to celebrate loved ones. Every guest deserves to be treated with fairness, courtesy, and respect. A sincere apology from the host at the time of the incident would have gone a long way. I hope you will use this feedback as an opportunity to coach your front-of-house staff on the importance of customer service, communication, and accountability. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. Sincerely, Ms. Deas

I have had 2 successful and delicious 5 star meals at this location. Both times prior to this time, we ate inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, take out orders don't seem to get the same care and attention. First, let me say the food was very good. But, my order had issues as soon as I arrived. We asked for the spicy sauce to be taken off our fish tacos. Luckily, the hostess who took the order noticed right away, that it was made incorrectly. So, it had to be redone. We asked for pico de gayo to replace the sauce and the fish tacos were drowned in the pico. It should have been placed on the side. We were charged $1 for every salsa sauce we ordered. When you eat in the restaurant it is given freely. The chips were served cold. When, I called and asked about it, I was told these were changes that had been made last month. We enjoyed the carne asada tacos with the avocado crema. They were delicious. My grandkids loved the Spanish rice. We also really liked the tacos Al pastor. The pork and pineapple are a tasty and flavorful combination. These were great. So, was it a total loss? No, not at all..we enjoyed a lot of the meal, but when you are paying $80 for a take out dinner, you want that attention to detail that you receive when dining at the restaurant. I will definitely be back, but I will be eating inside the restaurant. That, way, I can get my margarita too.

I visited this location 3 times, 2 while I lived in Wheaton and one not long after moving away from Montgomery County. Feb. 2019 I used my birthday deal, pretty uneventful good food. Oct. 2020 there was another deal, again uneventful. My 3rd visit was the noteworthy one in March 2021. I recruited a friend to help use my birthday deal expiring fairly soon (as it's a BOGO deal), who lives in Montgomery County and doesn't like driving far. So, I schlepped from my home in western Anne Arundel County over to Rockville as God forbid he would schlep to Watch First in Laurel in PG County (my closest location), Columbia, or anywhere close to me. Food was good per normal. Server was nice and efficient. However, as a polite word in baseball, she made an error. She spilled the cranberry juice all over my friend. I was spared from her error sitting on the opposite side of the booth. At first, she said we can take the cranberry juice off the bill. We said that was weak. Manager came over and was nice saying how about we comp this meal for you. We said that's a lot better. However, I added that my birthday deal will be useless. The manager said he would just take off my meal too, and I could use the birthday deal again. I don't think I ended up using the birthday deal ultimately that year as it was close to expiration. Overall, while the cranberry juice was spilled was not good, the manager was nice & handled this well. First Watch Rockville is overall positive in my experience.

We have been coming here for over 20 years, and this visit was a huge disappointment…read more We were told to sit anywhere, chose a booth, and then sat for 20 minutes with no service. We finally had to ask an older server if anyone was going to help us before we even got menus. Meanwhile, staff stood around talking to the cooks and drinking their own beverages instead of paying attention to customers. When someone finally took our order, the food was just as bad as the service. The cheese omelette was tiny, the bagels tasted like low quality supermarket bagels, and the hash browns were completely inedible. The nova with eggs had chopped onion that were unevenly distributed. They had a strong chemical smell and tasted like old industrial oil. We left the potatoes on the plate untouched. To top it off, the server who told us to seat ourselves ignored us the entire time but immediately helped the next customer who walked in. After 20 years, this place has clearly gone downhill. Between the poor service and terrible food, there is no reason to come back. If they care, Management needs to step in.
