Mango green tea with tapioca
Alyssa T.

(Food)/drink: 4/5 I have had a lot of boba the past few weeks and this tapioca was on the tougher-chewier side. I got the honey aloe green tea and the tea itself and aloe were great, just the tapioca could be better. My husband liked the tapioca this way though, so if you like firmer boba this might be your place! Mango green tea comes with mango topping as well and was tasty. Service: 5/5 kind workers, fully staffed, took only 5 minutes or less to get our drinks. no issues here! Ambiance: music in the background, the lighting around the menu on the wall is a little dim but we ordered on the kiosk device on the counter and everything was easy to understand there. Seating for ~ 10 people total inside.

Aloe Grapefruit Tea and mango green tea

I was craving some boba and this spot was one of the spots that opened late. The menu offered a good variety like milk teas, fruity teas, fruit smoothies, and even acai bowls. I decided to get the aloe grapefruit tea with 75% sweetness and it definitely hit the spot. The fruit did not taste artificial at all and I like how they put real fruit in the drink! The drinks also came out pretty fast.

The oolong tea was pretty good! The taro tea was was also pretty good even as someone who doesn't love taro. The boba was pretty good this time

So cozy and had games for people to have fun with friends. The drink was hands down so good. I haven't had bubble tea in 2-3 years and very much appreciated my drink!

Pineapple Express Bowl and Coconut Milk Tea with coconut jelly

Grabbed some Sunday funday treats tonight. I got a coconut milk tea with coconut jelly which was delicious. My husband tried something new - Pineapple Express Bowl. He said it was pretty good but he would not get it again. Noticed there was a touch screen kiosk to order on which I did like because I always feel rushed looking at their menu and having the cashier keep asking me if I'm ready. Additionally, there were things on the kiosk menu not on the board so that was helpful. It was quite busy tonight so it did take super long to get our order. We also noticed that someone that ordered in person after us ordering on the kiosk got their açaí bowls before us so that was a bit frustrating. Will definitely still come back as I'm addicted to their onigiri.

This boba tea was the literally the best I ever had. I went on a boba frenzy and this by far had the best mixture of tea, sweetness and milk. The prices are great and the music is amazing. Has a great vibe and the staff is also really laid back which I appreciate in a buisness.

I've been here only twice now but I will be coming back!!!! The onigiri is warm and fresh and delicious and the bubble tea is one of the best I've had in the DMV. The employees are very nice. The seating is great and there are little board/card games to play while you wait or while you drink. It's nice and colorful inside. I like that the menu isn't too big to the point where it's overwhelming. I tried the shrimp onigiri, beef brisket onigiri, and brown sugar bubble milk. All were amazing but the beef onigiri was my favorite for sure.

Efficient service with delicious drinks and snacks. We usually order TBaar on Uber Eats, but this was the first time I went in-store. Inside is cute and the service was friendly. My 2 drinks and 5 onigiris were ready in under 10 mins, including the time it took for me to order. My favorite drink is the taro milk tea - the taro flavor is perfect and it's such a luscious, creamy drink. I also love the spicy pork belly, brisket, and lump crab onigiris. SO GOOD. TBaar has some of the best onigiris around - packed full of meat and flavor, with high quality ingredients. I can't wait to come back and try their soft serve - it looks amazing. Check this place out for yummy drinks and food!

Taro Milk Drink, Honeydew Milk Drink, and 2 Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Teas

We were visiting family and wanted to take the girls (7 & 10) to a spot to get some Boba drinks. One of the challenges when we travel is finding a spot that will make the girls the flavored drinks without the tea like our spots back home. The folks at TBaar were able to do it. So for the girls we got the Taro Milk drink and Honeydew Milk drink (both with Boba). And for my wife and we got the Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea. The girls loved their drinks. My wife and I liked ours but next time we would have gone without the Brown Sugar and little less sweet. The shop was nice and the folks that served us were courteous and friendly. But the only issue was the price. $8+ for a Boba drink?!?! I thought things were expensive in Northern California but I had never paid $8+ for a Boba drink before. Even my 10 year old commented on the price. So if a 10 year old thinks it high....its high. Though the drink was good, it's not a good value for the money.

Overall, TBaar was disappointing and expensive. Maybe ordering milk tea here isn't the move. The music here was really loud so it's hard to have a conversation here (definitely would have to shout a bit to one another). It was also very cold inside, so my friends and I left after a short while. FRESH BREWED OOLONG TEA W. MILK - 6.25 If you want any toppings, it's +0.80 extra, so be prepared to pay over $7 (close to $8 including tax) for a single drink. The only thing I liked about this drink was that the tea flavor was fragrant and not overpowering. However, there wasn't much or any milk flavor which was the biggest disappointment. The 25% sugar level was a good amount of sweetness for me, but I probably would have preferred a bit sweeter drink this time around to compensate the lack of milk flavor. The boba were small and chewy, but the taste was just mediocre. It didn't add much to my drink. My friend got the TBAAR MILK GREEN TEA and he also thought it was a flop. Sadly, we didn't have the best experience at TBaar this past Saturday afternoon.

Another Yelper posted this menu 1-2 months ago and the prices have jumped higher.

Knocking it down to 1 star because it's still crazy the prices they charge. Basically on the menu Fresh Oolong Tea with milk is $6.25 + $1.20 for a large and $1.50 for milk foam. It's $8.95 before tax and after tax pushes it to $10. Take your business to places that are a lot cheaper there's plenty of better boba spots in the area than this over priced establishment. Even Tiger Sugar and Yi Fang have more reasonable prices and offer more than what you're getting here.

I'm not really familiar with the area and was hungry after a show. It was after 10:30 pm so I didn't find many options that were still open. I'm usually in the mood for a good smoothie so I decided to give this spot a try. It was really bright and clean on the inside. There were a few tables available to dine in but I decided to grab my order to go. There is also a section with games. There was a group of patrons playing Jenna when I walked ok. As I entered, I was immediately greeted with a "welcome." The menu had so many options: smoothies, bubble tea, hot drinks, and more. The person behind the counter was really helpful in helping me decide because I was torn between a couple drinks. I ordered the Summer Dream. It was so fresh and tasty. I also ordered churros for the drive home. I do wish I could've tried the onigri but they were sold out for the evening. Overall, I had a great experience.

Brown Sugar Cloud, Taro Smoothie
Michaela C.

Really good drinks and a good variety on the menu! I tried the Brown Sugar Cloud ($9.75 for a large) and my fiance tried the Taro Smoothie ($9.25 for a large). Both drinks were about 24 ounces and were really good. The Brown Sugar Cloud drink took a bit longer to make, but that's expected for the great presentation.

This contains guava juice, strawberry, and bananas, which is much less complex than the regular sized 16 oz. adult smoothies. Overall, pretty refreshing and enjoyable. It's not Orange Fanta, but it did the job. Spacious interior but not a whole lot of seating. Definitely more of a grab-and-go while walking around Pike & Rose.

Got the vegan black bean quesadilla and mixed berry muffin. At 99 cents each, the muffin is a great price. It looks and tastes homemade, and not as sweet and "cakey" as other commercial bakery muffins. It was moist with sweetness from mostly the blueberries and cranberries (nothing dried, all fresh). Loved it and will buy again. The quesadilla was made to go on a hot skillet. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and crispy. It was stuffed with vegan cheese, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and corn. The beans were seasoned well (chipotle) and the vegan cheese and veggies complemented perfectly. Came with also a side portion of spicy crema sauce which added a kick to the dish. Staff was polite, food is great! Will continue supporting these businesses!

Moms Naked Lunch is quietly taking away any and all ingredients that are higher in quality or price and leaving behind the low cost cheap toppings etc. I am pretty sure they took it off the menu just as they took the hearts of palm off the toppings for more profit as these items cost more. At first they hit you with the we are out right now and later they say we are having a problem with the supplier and then it disappears. Corporate PR responses about "customer feedback" definitely do not match what employees and customers actually hear on the floor every day and while ordering their food! Cost cutting is almost certainly the real driving factor behind these menu changes. High-quality organic canned or fresh jackfruit and hearts of palm are notoriously expensive specialty items to source. By quietly pulling hearts of palm from the salad bar toppings and swapping out the popular jackfruit for cheap, bulk organic cabbage, chickpeas, and cauliflower in the Cauliflower Tacos, corporate drastically lowers their "food cost per plate" to protect margins. The cauliflower tacos are definitely not the more popular choice coming from someone who eats here 3 times a week and hears and sees what people are ordering. I have heard and agree that the cauliflower tacos are bland and need seasoning or something to spice them up a bit. I would say this location would benefit drastically from a creative menu developer--I have so many ideas having worked at one of the largest organic co-ops on the west coast, but yes the menu is getting boring and a lot of times I skip out on lunch/dinner here now because options are lacking. They also run out of items ALOT and need better management on supply...or better management in general..eeek! Another observation is that they have become drastically stingy with portion sizes and the tacos are mostly kale with a tiny amount of filling, sometimes not even noticeable when eating. This is the case for most everything on the menu. As a regular customer of many years, the customer service is non existent with their current staff and management. I never received service with a smile and no one ever gives me the service of someone who has been giving this place lots of business since day one like to know what I usually order or my name or even just be pleasant while I decide what I want. I've seen them skip over people that have been waiting in line to serve next person many times and have had people come after me and leave before me with their orders. I think it would benefit to hire more customer oriented staff and management in Naked Lunch and to see some positive changes in the space provided for this eatery in store..not only for the store but for its customers who keep them thriving. Side Note: For a healthy lunch spot, none of their breads offered for items like Tempeh bacon sandwich or the bean burger are sugar-free meaning they all contain cane sugar which is something due to health reasons I cannot have and many who shop here also can relate. For this reason I cannot order these items and I have been told to purchase my own bread in store and have them make it while still paying full price for it and paying for the bread separately. smh
