This one was my personal fav out of the 3; I thought it was going to be a normal milk tea; i wasnt expecting the thick coconut or the passion fruit taste. I added pudding as an additional topping and it blended so well with the coconut and thick creaminess. The boba was spot on and just the right amount of chewyness and sweetness. -Prism Town Punch (inspo: Totodile) a tropical punch with blue curacao, citrus lemonade and aloe jelly. This drink was not really my cup of tea but it tasted very similar to a mountain dew baja blast LOL -Mega Evolution Matcha (inspo: Chikorita) "creamy buttery matcha with brown sugar boba" .. This one was the worst one, in my opinion. I love a good matcha latte but this was not it. It tasted like grass, I couldnt have more than 3 sips. My friend and I finished the other 2 and thought we'd give the matcha another try; it was worse this time than the initial tasting. I have no words.... truly just not great. Ordered one medium and one large rosehip milk tea through the kft app. Both of the drinks were half tea and half milk skim/ foam, basically air. Pretty dissatisfying as I know kft is better than this. Not sure if the workers realized that it's easier to make one portion to split between a large and a medium, but they miscalculated the volume and tried splitting that into two drinks. I loved the slush but was a little disappointed you couldn't really taste the marshmallow at all, maybe I just didn't get enough fluff in mine but it overall I still really enjoyed it! My friend ended up getting the same thing minus the Oreo and really enjoyed his. The space is still cluttered from what some other folks have posted but they do have high table tops and chairs to sit at while you wait or to chat. The staff was also very kind and fast when making the drinks, I didn't wait for more than 5 minutes before I got my drink even though there were about 4 people in front of us. Underrated go to order: Wintermelon Milk Tea Zero Percent Sweetness Red Bean Pudding All of the milk options are dairy free which is awesome. Original milk tea is made with powdered milk but if you get a WOW milk they use Lactaid which I feel is a little bit healthier since it has a shelf life. For those watching your sugar they do blend the powdered milk with sugar so even if you get zero percent sweetness it's still going to be pretty sweet. Service here is hit or miss with how you're greeted and treated by the cashier person. Sometimes it's super friendly and sometimes it's very dismissive. But the rating of 4 stars is more around the boba and other selections. Probably more of a 3.5 star rating. The KFT is pretty standard for the chain. The quality of the drinks have been pretty consistent for me. Table availability is hit or miss depending on whether the place is overrun by students or not. It's nice that they're open relatively late compared to other places in the area. Can't complain too much about the drinks but I'm just used to the selections available at other boba places especially places like NYC or LA. They really know how to set the trend and provide a spread of boba choices! Boba here scratches the itch. I'll typically rotate between winter melon tea with boba or regular milk teas with boba. Most of the stores are pretty flexible and will make reasonable adjustments like substitute a topping for another of equal value (except for the Tyson's corner mall locations). They will make things right if they mess up an order. Unfortunately, I had some big disappointing experiences with their app. I was such a frequent customer that I was at their black belt level at the time. Someone was able to breach their security and hijack my account and ordered gift cards for themselves. My credit card flagged the unusual expenses and I had to get a new credit card. I did reach out to kungfu tea support about this incident and all they did was get me a new account. I lost my status and was reset down to a white belt. I also missed out on my free birthday drink reward. All this headache because of their security breach. From milk tea, specialty tea, coffee, slushies, and other flavorful drinks, you get to choose how much ice you need in it and how sweet you want it to be. They are super sweet so I suggest you get the less sweet versions. Instead of the 100% sweet level get the one below that level of sweet. Aka get the 70% sweet level. My sister got the iced milk tea. This is another flavor I highly recommend. It's delicious and it doesn't get sickening. For this one get their 100% sweetness. Their iced bubble teas are less sweet than their smoothie bubble tea. Their bubbles are very soft and bouncy. It's warm and a perfect contrast to the cold and sweet tea. They are very generous with their bubbles. MAJOR KEY: You can customize your drink to any topping, sweetness, or ice level! I'm not huge into super sweet, so I bump it down to 50% sweetness, with no ice (unless its super hot outside, the drink is cold enough), and Nata Jelly (jelly derivative of the lychee fruit). My favorite is taro with nata jelly or pudding or any kind of milk tea with boba. I have tried their winter melon milk green tea, honey tea, lychee punch, milk tea, taro milk green tea, oreo milk tea, oolong tea, slushies, wow milk tea. All of the flavors are great. You can request to adjust the sweetness on some of the drinks which is awesome because some drinks can be too sweet. The boba has a nice texture and very chewy. The herbal jelly is also good because it's not too sweet. The pudding is also good because it has a soft custard like taste. The mung bean and red bean reminds me of the tapioca desserts you get from chinese restaurants. The cup was OK-sized, and it's kind of pricey for just a drink. The Taro Green milk tea was WAYYYY too sweet. I do notice they let you adjust the sugar levels, so next time I'll try "70% sweetness" instead. My friend ordered the same thing, and he agreed he doesn't want diabetes. The boba balls were chewy and a good consistency. Overall, in surrounding areas, including Falls Church, there are a TON of boba places. You gotta be really great to stand out. Hubby and I were doing a lot of cleaning / organizing and I decided we needed a break, perhaps even a cold sweet treat. Kung Fu Tea had been on my radar and this seemed like the perfect time to give them a try. While I am certainly not a boba expert I have consumed sweet treats with tapioca balls at a couple other NOVA locations and it was something I had enjoyed, it was a whole new world for hubby. For first timers I typically recommend the Black Milk Tea with Bubbles or the Wintermelon Milk Green Tea. All my family members love the wintermelon milk green tea when I first introduced it to them. If it's Friday or Saturday Night expect the line to be to the door and backwards. It literally will wrap around the store. Anyway....enough about the ridiculous lines. They have a extensive menu with any and every combination of bubble tea,coffee,tea juice,slush. Minus the option of flavored jelly other then herbal and Nata but with all the flavors of tea and slush why do you need flavored jelly? That's just being greedy. My go to is always the peach oolong with bubbles but recently I tried the yogurt grapefruit with bubbles it taste like that frozen yogurt dessert you find in the Korean market.
