HeyTea is a popular Chinese boba tea spot. And you can tell because it gets crowded easily with long lines despite having a lot of staff. I had to wait approx 40 minutes for my drink (they announce the wait time every now and then so ppl aren't caught off guard). My King Jasmine Guava drink was indeed of premium quality BUT... Customer service is horrendous. Maybe he was exhausted from the endless orders or something but the man who took my order offered no pleasantries. He seemed irritated and was rather rude. After I told him my first drink he immediately switched his tablet to the checkout screen. I said I wanted to order more but he said "no, order was already placed". But I didn't even pay yet?? Since when were we limited to one drink? There was no way I was going to the back of the line to order more. And I saw a few other frustrated customers after so this was not an isolated incident. Not impressed
The shop has a clean, modern vibe that's perfect for grabbing a quick drink or hanging out for a bit. The menu is full of creative and refreshing tea options. From their signature cheese teas to fruity blends, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. I tried cloud crisp grape, tiramisu milk tea, and fluffy cloud mango. All were was perfectly balanced, flavorful but not overly sweet, with the right amount of ice and toppings. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The wait time is long (25-30 mins). I usually will order and walk around the mall for a bit and come back to pickup.
This isn't your typical Kung Fu Tea-style spot. The milk teas here lean more traditional--balanced, tea-forward, and not overly sweet. You can actually taste the tea, which I really appreciated. If you're looking for classic, well-made milk tea rather than trendy, overly sugary drinks, this place hits the spot. Just be warned there are long lines (order online from their QRcode posted on the window for quicker pickup)

Loved the Heytea x POPMART collab in December 2025! The tiramisu milk tea was so indulgent but retained the fragrant black tea flavor. The sticker pack was absolutely adorable! I hope the workers here get paid well--this boba shop is ultra busy and it's not unusual to see a sea of milk teas on the counter ready for pickup.

My favorite is the triple supreme matcha and the supreme brown sugar boboa. The drinks are always consistent in taste. They sometimes have deals online where you can get discounts. However, sometimes the online ordering is temporarily out service. Overall, there's inside seating where you can wait for you drinks. The staff try to be as quick as possible, but sometimes there's a wait of 1hr!!! It's a super basic and sterile interior. I think they try and strive on simplicity. It's located inside the Tysons mall

The amount of people inside sitting and waiting are just eye opening. It is definitely not a place to hold a conversation or relax. It is more of a war zone for you and the workers. Best approach is to come in with the app ready or order through the app and watch the order through the app. Go in, grab your order, and get out. Staying inside would probably bother you. As for the tea, I thought it was okay. I wanted to try it to know what the hype is all about. I am not entirely impressed by the quality to price compared to other teas I have had. I thought it was just okay, but great to have another choice than just Kung Fu Tea in the mall.
I wish they had more milk tea options. They only have brown sugar milk tea so I got the jasmine tea and added brown sugar boba but I don't think there was much milk in it. I'm underwhelmed at the amount of boba I got and the size of the cup as well. The jasmine tea itself was pretty good o think! The boba was also good based off what I could taste of it. There wasn't much syrup though. I had the brown sugar boba at another location and I enjoyed it and the jasmine tea is good so I have this place 3 stars despite not loving this drink. I probably won't frequent here just because when I want boba I want milk tea with boba but they have other non boba yummy drinks too
The cloud magnolia latte is so pretty and fragrant and flowery. Every time I enter this HeyTea and any other HeyTea location, I always get hit with a strong smell of flowers and fragrant tea. I can understand that it could be a little bit overwhelming because the smell is quite strong when you enter, but that is just a testament to how fragrant their drinks are. I've gotten their triple supreme matcha and supreme matcha but this time I got the cloud magnolia latte. Pretty much all of their drinks are very aesthetic, unique, and they taste great too. for what it's worth, it's pretty well priced compared to other milk tea places. The cloud magnolia latte has slightly salty sweet cream dollops in the middle with a sprinkle of matcha powder on top. Very lovely and mild roasted green tea flavor that lingers when you sip. Solid place and nice staff. They have an app and kiosks. Just beware when it is a (rare) BOGO because the line gets long.

The drinks were nowhere near as good as Moge Tea. That is still my favorite place to get drinks without the long wait. I will continue to go there instead of this spot. The cloud blue coconut drink was probably my favorite of the three we ordered, but it still doesn't compare to Moge.

The drinks at HeyTea are super fresh and they use real fruit unlike other places that use syrup. There are actually fruit pieces in the drink! There can be a bit of a wait, so I would recommend ordering on the app in advanced if you can. read more

Cute little Asian tea spot. I wanted something different today so I stoped by Hey Tea. I got a milk tea which was really good. They have a variety of things to choose from. Service is good as well. It can get a bit crowded during lunch hours, but the wait isn't long. read more

I've heard a lot of great things about Heytea, so I finally decided to try it for myself and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Cloud Matcha Latte and the Coconut Mango Boom, and both were absolutely delicious. You can really tell everything is made fresh. The matcha wasn't overly sweet, and the cheese foam on top had the perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors! Tip: Order online in advance. The place was packed when I arrived, and I was so glad I had placed my order ahead for pickup. read more
Heytea is one of the better chain tea options available. They don't just offer bubble tea but tea drinks more closely aligned with Asia. They also use real brewed tea as well as real fruit for their fruit drinks. The menu isn't overly extensive which is nice to allow focus and on the options at hand. Located in the food court wing of Tysons I. The line can get long especially in peak periods however there is an app you can order ahead for pickup. read more
One of my top boba spots now in the area because I am never disappointed with what I order from here. They make their fruit drinks very well as they use fresh fruits you can taste. Matcha drinks are also strong and a true matcha taste that's not watered down or overpowered by milk. Regular sweetness is usually not too sweet and I like that some drinks already come with preset toppings. The most liked drinks I have heard as favorites and tried are the coconut mango boom, supreme matcha latte, and supreme brown sugar bobo milk. There is always a line on weekends. Make sure to download the app because sometimes they might open availability for mobile ordering which is a little faster than standing and waiting in the line. read more

This is place is one of the best in NOVA! I really like their most popular drinks like the coconut cloud blue and their supreme matcha latte! I tried their grape drink and I wish it was blended a little more as I couldn't really consume the grape skin that sporadically were blocked from the straw. Service will take longer than other boba shops just because of how popular this place is. I would recommend ordering on their app beforehand and preoccupying yourself by exploring the mall etc rather than wait. Ambiance is very modern. Relatively clean but not their fault when people leave trash and wrappers out because of how busy it'll get. read more
Great addition to DMV! I wish it was closer to me. Order ahead and pick up to avoid long lines. Stopped by after dinner around 8:30 on Saturday- line wasn't bad, but I've seen the line wrap around outside. Friends ordered crisp grape bloom, red blossom milk tea, matcha latte with 0-cal sweetener, kale boost tea, and mango cloud. Grape blossom- so refreshing Red blossom milk tea- also delicious and great for people who prefer milk teas over fruity drinks Matcha is delicious and 0 calorie sweetener didn't taste like aspartame or weird. Kale boost tea- not a fan but my friend has gout and thus needed it The jasmine they use is extremely fragrant; I find it really unpleasant. You can smell it outside of Heytea as well. read more
Amaaaaazing. I originally didn't understand the hype of this place until I decided to give it a try and the hype is truly well deserved. I have been humbled. The ingredients are fresh and they use really high quality teas, coconut water, dairy milk and matcha. The teas are so fragrant. I got the cloud coconut blue drink which has a really light matcha foam on top, coconut milk, and blue spirulina. You can't adjust the sweetness on this drink (it's either sweetened or not at all), but the sweetness level was perfect in my opinion - quite light but still tasty. The ingredients were also so fresh and it all pairs really well together. Service is also quick, given the extremely high volume of customers. The store is nicely decorated and there are also plenty of one on one seats along the wall but be prepared for a crowd and a long line. Totally worth the wait though. read more
HeyTea is a super trendy boba shop with a sleek-futuristic ambiance! Bear in mind the line for boba is no joke. The service is not able to accommodate too many people at a time, so try ordering ahead if possible. My friend and I had a Matcha boba with a milk cap - quite delicious! However, I felt it was not too different from the variety of boba options throughout the mall. Cool ambiance and a fair amount of room for sitting and enjoying your drinks inside the store. I was so excited to try heytea after seeing they opened in Tyson's! The place itself is very aesthetic, modern and minimalist. I'm a fan of fruit teas so I focused on those options when looking at the menu. I got their coconut mango boom which I ordered in person. I wish there was an easier way to view the menu online. The only way I found the menu was by downloading their app or coming in person to view it in store. But the app itself is very detailed and describes what is in each drink which I appreciate. They don't make lychee jelly which I usually add to my drinks, but the coconut mango boom came with coconut jelly instead. I wasn't a fan of the drink overall, I think because I wasn't expecting the various textures in the drink. It has fresh cut mangoes, jasmine green tea, coconut milk, sago and coconut jelly. Other drinks caught my eye that I'd love to come back and try. read more
As soon as you walk in you're embraced by their signature fragrant floral jasmine scent and clean minimal aesthetic. they pride themselves in no artificial creamers and flavourings and high quali-tea tea leaves. They also offer fruit smoothies and a litany of matcha variants. bc theyre located in tysons its almost always hectic, but if you're able to order on the app or walk around during the meantime its not as bad. Good bubble tea as the hype but horrible service. The wait system isn't efficient. It requires you to view the queue from the app. The app requires you to add your email or sign up. Staff was rude. Especially Rosy. read more
THE HYPE IS REAL! HeyTea is the newest bubble tea shop located right in Tysons Corner Mall known for their high quality fruit teas. I learned from a friend that HeyTea originated from China and has been around Asia for the past several years and is now slowly making its way into the US market. I've tried the Grapefruit Boom and the Grapefruit Mango Boom and I'm honestly hooked! The Grapefruit Boom is refreshingly tart, has natural sweetness, and has real grapefruit chunks within the drink. The Grapefruit Mango Boom adds mango and coconut milk to the mix which tasted tropical and indulgent. In addition to a wide variety of fruit teas, they also have milk teas, matches, and leaf teas. As other reviewers mentioned, the lines are long if you choose to wait. I downloaded the app and ordered through there (albeit on a weekday). FYI: When it gets too busy, they shut off the app. When ordering through the app or in-store, provide your number and your drinks are handed over to you. They also have carrying cases if you have several drinks. There are a few seats inside, but it's highly recommended to grab and go because it gets crowded and chaotic in here. read more

I have been to HeyTea a handful of times since they opened in Tysons and it has become one of my favorite boba shops in NoVA! - Cloud Matcha Latte -- the matcha was subtle and not overpowering The interior does not have much decor, but it appears bright, clean and modern. I always check their app so you can get a heads up if they get too busy online ordering is closed and the average wait time for your order to be ready! read more

I'm fascinated with the success of HeyTea and applaud them for being a standout tea shop in the DMV and beyond. They use very fresh ingredients for their tea creations, including real milk and not the questionable dairy replacements other places use. I've only tried the coconut mango boom (delicious) and the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea - love them both. Ordering on the app is definitely the way to go! read more

I personally do not think I'm a fan of HeyTea's items - I find the tea content itself okay tasting and just full of toppings which personally, I don't like having too much of. Despite this, it's a nice spot and efficient with the ordering! It can still get packed surprisingly. I've had the mango bloom and the cloud coconut blue and found them fine, but I wouldn't wait a long time to get my hands on a drink. I think I'd prefer Moge Tee in Tyson's instead if I was in the mall craving a similar drink. read more
**3.5 stars I don't usually rate places less than 4 stars but with all the hype around this new location, I figured I'd add to the reviews. Overall: it's not worth the 45 minute wait that we waited just to order. We went in March about a month after opening and really didn't think it was worth it. The location is very small and minimal seating even though it's in a mall. They did have about 10 workers at once which was incredible to see! In terms of the drinks, they were just about every other standard boba drink. Nothing fancy or overly unique in the flavor. My boyfriend had the matcha twice and he felt it was pretty standard. I had the mango drink the first time and the second time I got something similar to a milk tea and it was all very standard. Not amazing, not bad. I'd wait till the hype is down, wait till the fall maybe (6+ months from opening) before attempting again to see if it was just lower quality due to them making so many drinks in a short period of time. read more
The drink definitely tastes natural. They aren't lying when they say that on the signs. My fiancée told me she saw this place all over Instagram so we stopped in the other day. I ordered the Mango Grapefruit Boom. My fiancée ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba. They were both really good. I would say that if you like it sweeter, don't reduce the sugar at all. It definitely gets less sweet if you reduce the sugar amount. Likely due to the fact that the ingredients are more natural and they don't use sugar syrup. The service was as quick as they could be. I think they had like 15 people behind the counter trying to keep up with all the orders. It's new so I'm sure once the hype dies down, it won't be quite as busy all the time. The ambiance is very clean and neutral. There's not much decoration and the interior is based on beige and brown colors. It feels very sterile in my opinion but I know many people like that. We'll definitely be back for more boba. It's likely our new favorite place. read more

Love this bubble tea! It's the first time I had it and it was by chance because I was in the area and looked bubble tea places up that have good reviews. It's creamy and tasty! The place was packed but the staff is efficient! And I counted 9 or 10 people behind the counter. I didn't stay, but it's a nice place to hangout with friends. Will definitely be back to try the other options! read more
My partner and I are boba connoisseur. We went on a friday afternoon. Waited and ordered almost a total of an hour (mind you they were still fairly new at the time) The staff a really nice and friendly. For how busy they were, you can tell they take care of their process. From drink to customer. Cute little place. Their boba was really good and their drinks were fun. The drinks are super good! I enjoyed the coconut mango boom the most! Ordered three drinks on a busy Saturday. Usually I would order on the app and skip the long line but this time they turned off the app. Such a bummer because I couldn't gain credits for my purchase! They have nice decor but since it was so crowded, it was hard to appreciate the view! Highly recommend you try this when you're in the area! read more
Customize your delicious boba drink in the mall, and you'll be surprised at how unique the sweet libations are here. But be forewarned, chances are you will be in for a long wait. That's a sign that this place either offers awesome value and delicious taste, or it's a new joint and everyone is dying to give this place a try. I think it's a combination of the two.
