I was excited to go here after a soccer game brought us to the area, but no score here sadly (pun intended). The place is a cute casual decor. My make your own bowl was okay. I had salmon, edamame, corn, cucumber salad, ginger and eel sauce. It had a little too much ginger but that is easy to fix. A step below my usual bowls for a couple dollars more. Husband ordered the Koji chicken bowl and it was surprisingly small. It seemed like a weak version of a chicken teriyaki bowl. Daughter ordered the kare-kare brisket bowl and it was terrible. We really should have said something or tried to switch it out because she basically picked at it and left hungry. The brisket was dry and tough and it has something else that was like mush. They also charge a 3% credit card fee, which I get is becoming more standard. Overall, it was probably a 2 star visit for us, but I think it is likely better than that most times. read more

Lei'd used to be one of my favorite poke places because the fish would taste really clean and fresh and their split option for chips in a bowl. I went back recently and am disappointed to say it's changed quite a bit. You still get a good portion of fish but it just tastes kind of off. We also go the macaroni salad and it literally tasted like cardboard. Like as if the noodles were overcooked, refrigerated, and then cooked again. I've gotten Lei'd multiple times before and it's quite good poke. Parking is shared among a couple of other stores, one including their sister restaurant Teas'n You, which you can double and get poke and bubble tea without driving to a different location. Parking lot can be packed, but for the most park, it wasn't too bad. Inside they had three kiosk machines and someone behind the counter to help take orders. I had a giftcard and it was relatively easy to use at the kiosk. The poke pockets are a cute addition to their menu. The Poke Pockets are pretty small comparatively to the bowl for $9.95 compared to a bowl being around $16. They were good though. I like the sweet tofu wrap and they did stuff them well with poke and rice. As you can see though, the pocket is roughly the size of the palm of my hand. It did feel like a good amount of fish in every bite, it was just two-three bites though. It'd be nice if it was three or four instead of two. I like their bowls, they are a decent size, though it looked like some of their specialty bowls include cooked fish. Since this is a newer item, it'd be nice if they showed a picture or the size on the kiosk screen when ordering. You can tell that people mostly order carry-out/pick up, so it's usually pretty empty when I come in. Still the decor and vibe are pretty cute. I typically order at the kiosk, and the service is usually pretty fast. The ingredients taste fresh and flavorful, and even though I like to keep ordering salmon and tuna I like to mix up the different marinade flavors. I also really appreciate the points system that the hospitality group offers. I believe group also runs Teas'n You, Chasin' Tails, and Roll Play. So when you order from any of these places, you can apply those points to any of their other spots. Their portions are great, they have a wide variety of protein and toppings to choose from, and are very prompt with their orders especially if you order online. The sesame tofu was flavorful and loaded my bowl up with seaweed salad and veggies (carrots, cucumber, edamame) and topped it off with shredded nori and toasted sesame seeds. I came to Lei'd Poke to pickup some takeout on a Sunday afternoon. Parking is not an issue, the parking lot is shared by a handful of retailers. My family and I came here shortly after they had just opened. It was quiet and a few other customers were already inside. There are several self serve ordering screens which I really like... I can take my time looking over the menu without worrying about holding up the line since there are multiple screens. The poke bowl I order was delicious, all the ingredients were fresh and the sauces were flavorful. I really liked the Wasabi Cilantro drizzle, it had just the right amount of spice without being too much. Since we were one of the first customers we saw staff prepping alot of ingredients for the day. They were cutting up veggies fresh for the day. The bowls are somewhat pricier than other poke spots in the area, but to me it is worth it if the ingredients are fresh :) Overall I had a great experience here... the staff were even sweet enough to try to interact with my son as we were waiting for our takeout order. Leid Poke was not our favorite local poke place. The space is open and pleasant with multiple long tables. If there aren't too many people eating, that is fine. If it is crowded, you may find you need to share a table with another party which may or may not bother you. The problem we had started with the ordering system which is done by kiosk and was not very user friendly. I was surprised that no one behind the counter, seeing our confusion and discussion of how we were having a little trouble figuring things out offered to help out. So we kept going from screen to screen and then back again. Argh. I have definitely found at some places that this aspect of self serve is not at all a time saver. It is annoying and takes up more time. The staff was friendly when they brought our order to the table, but I would have much preferred more help at the counter. Having finally figured out the system we had ordered the chef curated classic ahi. When we got our lunch, it seemed a smaller bowl for a higher price then the other poke spots we frequent. This too was a disappointment. We also didn't enjoy the taste as much. So, all in all, we will be sticking with Pokeworks instead. Leid poke has a relationship with teasnyou next door. decided to stop by Lei'd Poke because of its stellar reviews and my eagerness to try it out. The restaurant only offers ordering through a machine, which was a bit unusual but manageable. I ordered a large spicy salmon bowl with added masago, totaling $20. When my order arrived, I was taken aback by the small size of the bowl given the price. The portion of salmon and masago was disappointingly minimal, almost nonexistent. Instead, the bowl was filled with a disproportionate amount of tomato and jalapeño, which was unexpected and a bit off-putting. While the flavor of the bowl was good, the overall portion size was quite small and didn't justify the high price. In summary, the taste was satisfactory, but the portion size was a letdown. I live close to Lei'd but had never tried it until a friend suggested it for takeout, swearing it was the best poke in the area. She was right--the poke here is fresh, generous, and full of flavor. Tons of fish, veggies, and thoughtful toppings. I had the miso salmon poke and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was also great--super friendly and accommodating of my allergy, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that the store itself felt a bit stuffy and hot, likely due to an HVAC issue. Luckily, we took our food to go, and it was clear they keep their fish chilled and fresh, so no concerns there. Greatly located right next to a boba shop - this poke place is the perfect meal to have on the go! I say to go because their seating area looks more like a cafeteria ~ Their bowls are made pretty swiftly and easy to customize using their kiosks! There are various options to add as well as some sides too! I have been here once in 2019 and visited again recently this past Friday afternoon for the second time. Both times, my experience have been average. My friend who I ate with recently enjoyed her experience, so maybe it's just a miss for me? I personally would recommend getting one of their Signature Bowls instead of customizing. BYO POKE BOWL (MEDIUM BOWL) - 14.40 Two scoops of protein for the medium bowl, so I got both salmons with the classic shoyu and honey miso marinades. For the base, I got a mix of mixed greens and white sushi rice (they do not have brown rice option here, I think). A few of my go-to add-ons are premium options here (which means you have to pay more) such as crab salad and masago. I ended up paying +0.95 for masago and got green onions, seaweed salad, edamame, shredded nori, house furikake, crispy garlic (maybe) and toasted sesame seeds. I personally would not recommend more than 1 scoop of seaweed salad, as it is pretty saucy and strong. I did get a couple sauces on the side (spicy sriracha aioli and reamy roasted sesame) but didn't use them because the seaweed salad and marinades on the fish was more than enough for me. Overall, I thought it was OK. Some of the salmon had a "gummy" or "gooey" ish texture. Not sure if that meant it was too cold or something else. The toppings were OK/standard. Nothing amazing. I wish I got all white rice to cushion the amount of sauce from all the toppings and marinade. Overall, Lei'd Poke is more expensive than other poke places I go to in the area. The perk is that it's right next to Teas'n You (both owned by the same parent company, Happy Endings, I think) and their boba is a great dessert/cafe option afterwards. read more
