100000% my new fav boba spot!!!! Let me tell you why: I love their unique drink creations! They all sound soooo tasty!!!! It's hard to even choose one. I love that they let you customize tea strength. My extra strong jasmine green tea with the strawberry absolutely HIT today. The sugar customizations are on point. 50% sweet actually feels like a 50% sweet. Other places 50% still feels way too sweet for me. I love that they have the option for the split drinks!! For a place like this, that's gold because its hard to even decide which drink to choose. Choosing 2 is easier than choosing 1. I absolutely loved my #3 Pretty in Pink with strong tea and half sweet. And the prices are super reasonable for the amount you get (including toppings!) Service was friendly and welcoming. Ambiance was interesting.
I wanted to try Pekoe because they offer split cup and wanted to try different flavors than I normally order. This is also a new to me bubble tea spot. I ordered online and it was ready when I arrived. The tea is flavorful even at 50% sugar. The pretty in pink side has heart shaped jelly with boba and the green drink was so creamy with jelly. I love the split cut to get two flavors! Will definitely try again with different flavors.
Such a cool space!! Highly recommend going- lots of seating and unique shop! Drinks were average/normal prices and delicious flavor. I would recommend getting held the sweetness as they run a bit sweet but everyone to their own preference. When we went there was no one inside so they were super quick with our drinks. 5/5 stars
Super cute spot to hang out/catch up with family/friends. Service was super friendly with the worker not hesitating to answer the questions I had. Love the creative drink names! I ordered the Mario and Lui-ychee, which was a lhee infused tea with fresh lychee pieces. Loved how flavorful this tea was. I also tried the Matcha Man, which is a matcha latte topped with strawberry cream. So good. I'd definitely get both again. I tried two additional drinks, both of which I wasn't a fan of. I found the Pretty In Pink to be just okay and thought both the addition of strawberry hearts and honey black pearls were too much. I also tried a strawberry fruit tea with fresh strawberry pieces - the Miami Vice was way too sweet. Didn't even drink a quarter of it before it got thrown away.
DRINKS We ordered the "honeydew you like me" (honeydew milk tea based slushy with boba), "matcha man" (matcha milk tea with strawberry cream), and the split cup of pekoe style milk tea and Mario & Lui-ychee. We got the third drink free since they are offering a buy 2 get 1 free deal for the summer. All the drinks were definitely powder-based and felt more fake than fresh. I was a little disappointed since they are the only ones in the area that have split cup options and such a nice interior. However, the artificial flavors of the drinks threw us all so off that it was difficult to enjoy. The Mario & Lui-ychee drinks was probably the best out of all of them, as it was light yet refreshing with the lychee bits as well. The kicker was also their boba, which was rock hard and so difficult to chew that we ended up spitting it out or avoiding consuming altogether. The topping was hot to touch at the base of the drink when holding, but you could tell that it was just reheated to seem fresh. FOOD They offer a selection of banh mis for purchase, though we didn't get any. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. They were really patient/accommodating in clarifying some of the drink selections, etc. AMBIANCE The interior is decorated very modernly and neat and fits the lounge theme. It's a great place to relax or catch up with friends. Their selection of music ranges from mostly k-pop or j-pop but definitely a mix of hip hop, pop, etc. PARKING About ten parking spots are available in front of the store and on the side. BATHROOMS The bathrooms are clean and tidy. It did smell a little weird, but what got us the most was that the women's restroom couldn't lock.
The setting was very elegant and pretty boujie for a bubble tea place. Service was average. I got the sugarcane drink. I've tried a sugarcane drink in Vietnam and I was anticipating to be drinking at least something similar to it, but no. I could not finish my drink... lol. One and done. lol.
Holy Bubble Tea! Pekoe is definitely the place to get your fruit or milk teas or naugh-teas. The inside of this location is beautiful. There was plenty of seating and mini tables to sit and stay a while. One section included a cherry blossom tree. There were also two large screens blasting music. They are open until midnight so if you are in the mood for a late night treat this is the place. I don't know many places that offer a split cup where you can try two different drinks in one cup, but this is genius. I went with the Manly Melon for the fruit tea and the Foxy Brown for the milk tea. I did order the milk tea without the pearls. Both drinks were delicious and could be customized to have more/less ice and more/less sweetness. I am not in the area that often, but I will make sure to stop when I am. There are so many more varieties that I would love to try.
What a nice, spacious and cozy spot to hang out for a delicious cup of bubble tea! I like the split cup option so you can taste the best of both worlds. I was left satisfied! I will definitely stop by here again when I'm in the area.

There is also the option of a split cup so you can try 2 flavors. The interior feels lounge-like. The one downside is the ability to customize is limited. As an example, 30% sugar is a common level, especially for Asian customers. However pekoe only offers 0 or 50% (or more) - of course 50 ended up being too sweet.
My friends and I stopped by Pekoe after dinner this past Wednesday since we've heard that there is another boba shop opened in the Fairfax area. The interior will give TeaDM a run for the money -- it give bar/club vibes especially with the dance pop/EDM music playing in the background. The TV screens are huge. There's a lot of modern club-looking sofas that you can sit at to enjoy your boba. If you're looking for a typical cafe style small table + 2 seats, you won't find it here. PEKOE SPECIAL - 6.50 Thanks to the employee who took my order, they highly recommended half sweet for the drink (earl grey milk tea infused with lavender and orange bergamot with grass jelly + black pearls) since the tea flavor is super strong. Personally, I thought the tea was over-steeped. The half sweet suggestion definitely helped. I didn't love the flavors of the milk tea (kind of reminded me of the herbal soups and drinks I had growing up) but I enjoyed it more as I continued to drink it. Overall, I wouldn't get this specific drink again next time. We were able to chill here for a bit, but definitely hard to hear with all the music. The boba shop seemed popular. There were a few other parties here besides us.
Really bad but wanted to love it! The tea here was so bad I couldn't drink it - extremely artificial flavor. I had the lycee & basic milk tea in a split cup. I simply couldn't drink it. Extremely sweet even though I did the reduced sugar option & it did not even taste like tea. The split cup idea is super fun and I wanted to love this place! Lots of potential since I saw they also have sugar cane juice which is super hard to find. Staff were also super nice. But as the tea is not even tea in my opinion. I wouldn't go back when there are lots of other great places in the area that serve real brewed tea.
When you walk inside, the boba place definitely has more of a modern decor. Typically you can see the workers make your boba, but not here :0 My cousins and I came during their grand opening and was greeted by a friendly cashier. She provided great customer service with a smile!!! They have unique drink options with very unique names. I like how the drink options also included toppings in it. Less work for me to think what would pair well haha I got the roasted oolong tea with less sweet. I think I would have been getting full sweet for this drink because it wasnt that sweet. The tea flavor is also pretty strong. I tried my sisters drink which was the kawaii tea and was more on the fruitier end.
I love the decor of this place, but I never like how not well-ventilated it is it just feels stuffy, so I don't like staying. However, I love their fruit teas and this time, I got the taro bbt, and I love creamy it is. The grass jelly definitely adds to it. Service was very quick.

This is by far the worst boba smoothie I've ever had in the DMV area. About halfway through my $10 taro smoothie, I felt like I was drinking tasteless crushed ice. I struggled to finish it because it didn't go through the straw smoothly. The smoothie wasn't blended properly, and the ratio of taro tea to ice was way off. For $10, I expected much better quality. I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of other places in the area that offer significantly better tea for the same price. read more

We decided to try the new Pekoe x Bale collabs and had a mixed experience overall. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, but unfortunately it was very bitter and tasted watered down, so it wasn't my favorite. For food, I had the xíu mại bánh mì. The filling was really flavorful and delicious, but the bread was a bit disappointing. It was soft instead of crispy and crunchy, and the sandwich kept falling apart while I was eating it, which made for a pretty messy experience. My husband ordered the nem nướng bánh mì, and he really enjoyed it. Overall, we still had a good experience and are glad we gave it a try. While a couple of items didn't quite meet our expectations, there were definitely some highlights. We'd come back to try other items on the menu. read more

I knew this as a Californian chain and was excited when they opened here! The menu has a lot of unique flavors, but the thing that makes Pekoe different is the split cup. It's great for people who have trouble deciding what they want or get bored with a full-size drink. I got the Thai Tea Whities and Pekoe Special in the split cup and I enjoyed both flavors. I really liked the flavor of the green thai tea in the Thai Tea Whities, it was light and refreshing for a milk tea. I will say, the sea salt crema and milk pudding makes the overall drink a bit too heavy and rich for me so I'm glad I got it as a split cup. I preferred the Pekoe Special of the two flavors. It's a more classic flavor profile, but it tasted great regardless. The inside is pretty spacious with a lot of seating and two large screens playing K-pop music videos. It's a fun vibe and open until midnight, I would definitely come back! read more
Another Boba franchise in FFX. Very modern like a DC lounge with EDM flare. If your young hip ,mod and typical ABG it's your style. I've aged out so I'm a bit out of place here but it's about the bubble tea so... It's opening day so things are a bit slow. And they ran out of boba, egg pudding and sugar canes drinks.. bummer for me cause that would've been my selling point. Efficiency wise there is one cashier.. so hopefully they add another one or it's going to get backed up if this place gets busier. Especially with all the customization that can occur. Anywho I decided on a split cup 7.75 with the life's a peach with peach slices instead of white pearls and the young mungy which is mung beans and pandan pudding. My brother decided to try the Jolly Rancher Strawberry +Raspberry with Green Apple Jelly. Taste wise: The life's a peach with the slices peaches hits..it's refreshing and peachy. Light and not overbrewed Yungy Mungy : Creamy and like others have stated taste like liquid Che. More liquid mung bean not the graininess you usually get with mung bean. Hint of coconut milk and the pandan jellly pieces. big fan of the taste cause it's not overly sweet. Overall: I'm a fan.. it's not overly sugary sweet like most boba places and it's refreshing. Also the split up finally one that is actually decent size most of the split cups I've had are half the size.Huge bonus if your indecisive like me cause I like a variety . Bear in mind only for the milk tea and fruit teas. So if pekoe keeps up this quality they may be a contender as my new spot and it's very close to home so that could be dangerous especially once they have sugarcane beverages. read more

Who's excited that a Pekoe is in NOVA now?!? Me! I was running errands and saw balloons and dragon dancers at the corner of my eye and had to stop in. Parking in the front is limited but there's parking in the back. However, I recommend parking at the parking lot over next to the car dealership where the Popeyes is if it gets full. Walking in, it made me feel like I was walking into a wonderland. The staff was so friendly and was quick to assist and offer recommendations. I tend to get the same thing over and over when it comes to milk tea. I ended up getting the Pretty in Pink with no changes and my husband got the French Chicks with no coffee jelly. We both really loved our drinks and it came out very fast. Well...I must admit we were the first customers! And today since there's a grand openings it's buy one get one free. Can't wait to stop by here often in the future versus only being able to get it at the MGM. Love having this in two locations in the DMV versus one. And based on how the customer service was, the decor, and drinks it's a win for me. read more
I loved the cherry blossom aesthetic! The drinks were so yummy and they have in house made banh mi! I couldn't decide between two teas so I ordered half and half!! I would recommend the Pretty in Pink- Jasmine milk tea infused with strawberry! It was so delicious! They had the cutest heart jellies too! The Manly Melons was good too, but more for a fruity taste! I liked the glow up ice cube that changed colors!! The service was quick and they were helpful in letting me know the popular favorites! read more

I always noticed the sign for this place whenever I am getting gas from across the street and couldn't wait to try it once it opens! We tried a Split Cup of Pretty in Pink and Angela. I enjoyed the milk tea more from the balance of strawberry and milky flavor. I was expecting more wintermelon taste from the fruit tea. I also like that both drinks included toppings. The option of a split cup is a good idea whenever you are indecisive between a milk tea and a fruit tea. The interior has a nightlife/lounge vibe with upbeat music, floral decor and big screen TVs. The service was great and the staff were attentive and friendly offering recommendations. It was fun watching the Super Bowl Halftime Show there too! read more
It's kind of in an awkward location, next to a larger strip mall but very nice and cute/chic inside. We get a lot of boba and I really was impressed with some of their choices. I wasn't sure I would like mine (Black Dragon - oolong tea with milk cream and black grass jelly). I didn't make adjustments and it was just plain good. My friend had the taro taro with boba and liked it alot. Some drinks can have sweetness alterations but not all. I was the only customer at the time and the teas came out super fast. I was very tempted to get the "Let's Get High" which was a tea and coffee but was worried about too much caffeine for the day. Would definitely come back and try a few others. Pricier side for boba. read more
The ambiance of the inside of the restaurant is amazing. The decor and the way you can casually sit and hang out with your friends is definitely fun. The drinks are good they are very sweet I would recommend getting half sugar as the staff will not ask your preference. The staff was kind however the parking situation here is not good. There's just not enough regular parking spots for the number of people that want to visit. Overall a great experience with some friends. We got half and half cups we tried the matcha man, the pomstar, Mario and Luiychee, black dragon, life's a peach, and Kawaii. My favorite was the matcha man and I added boba. read more

Ambiance felt like we were walking into a club or a decked out L.E.D. kbbq spot, cool lighting and designs. Service was your typical boba spot, although no self serving kiosk. Boba flavors were similar to the many average spots nowadays, nothing shot at us when we were scanning the menu. Probably wouldn't go here again simply due to the flavors they provided. The split cup design was interesting, but again, I couldn't find a second flavor I was interested in due to the same recycled flavors all boba shops typically have now. We'd probs stick to our go-to Teado next time. read more
I saw Pekoe on TikTok and immediately sent the video to my friends in NoVA. It looked like such a fun vibe for a bubble tea place, and the fact that it's open till midnight was really cool. As soon as we walked in, I saw the cool interior and the upbeat music playing which immediately got me in the mood to try some boba. I saw that they had 2 types of cups available - you could get two flavors in a split cup! It was perfect for indecisive people like me to try the two options I was eyeing. I got the "Pretty in Pink" and Matcha drinks. Both had honey bubbles and the Pretty in Pink had strawberry hearts! I loved both flavors a lot, the sweetness and flavor were perfect. I got my drinks pretty quickly and the people working were really kind to me. The place was also really well maintained and everything was very clean. 10/10, would definitely come back again! read more
Pekoe is the BEST bubble tea and it's not even close! We are so blessed to have the second east coast location in Fairfax. The atmosphere and the vibes are upscale and modern, with lots of interesting seating and tables. The service is quick and they are nice. I've been to Pekoe twice - once at this location and once at the MGM location - and I got Pretty in Pink (strawberry bubble tea) both times. It is SOOOO good! The mix of the strawberry and milky flavor is somehow just so much better than any other store around. And not to mention the prices, pekoe tea only costs $6 per cup which is the cheapest bubble tea around. The cheapest and the most delicious?? How can you turn it down? If you're in the mood for bubble tea (or even if you're not in the mood, because you can always have more bubble tea), then Pekoe should be your destination. It is absolutely worth making the trip out to Fairfax if you're not in the area, and if you are in the area then I am soooo jealous that you have easy access to Pekoe Tea! read more
A little dissappointed in this place after seeing so many people that I know hyped it up. Pros: Nice and relaxing space with plenty of seating , quiet and not too crowded yet, probably because it's new; cute and simple decors, plenty of parking out front, great fruity drinks, great friendly staff and very helpful with menu items. Cons: Terrible milk tea (too sweet and tasted like purely sugar) ; hard to get out of plaza since it's a busy street if you're trying to cross to the other side of the road, seating will be awkward since there's no separate in tables so not really privacy if they are crowded. I wouldn't recommend this place unless yoj want fruit tea (it can be really sweet so half sugar would be better choice for any drinks) I got the mung bean drink and regular milk tea and it tasted purely like sugar when i did 50% sugar. read more

Pekoe has finally made its way to NOVA! I would say Pekoe has a bit less drinks than your typical boba shop however, they include more specialty drinks with unique flavor combination that you wouldn't find elsewhere. The drinks are a bit more on the pricier side. The cashier was very friendly and helpful to give out suggestions despite being busy- and the drinks came out relatively fast. I got the Kawaii fruit tea and found it to be a bit too sweet even with the half sugar. (I normally get 25% sweet but they unfortunately do not have that option) The flavor itself was fresh and had a good mix of tea flavor. I also tried a sip of the Southern Peach which had the classic sweet tea flavor to it. They also put these cute lights inside! I normally have a high caffeine tolerance but was surprised to actually feel the caffeine from the tea here! I'm excited to come back and try more of their unique drinks! read more

It seems like pretty much every week there is a new boba shop opening in this area, but with Pekoe, I can say that based on this visit, this place will be around for a while. What I tried: Split cups: *Pekoe Special (milk tea) / Pretty in Pink (milk tea) *Foxy Brown (milk tea) / Manly Melon (fruit tea) The split cups are a cool option because if you're feeling like getting milk tea, but maybe fruit tea too, you can mix and match! The person who took my order was super nice and offered samples of the various milk and/or fruit teas (you can't get samples of the frozen drinks). I ordered my drinks with 100% sweetness, although next time I'll probably try 50% just to compare. Overall, the drinks tasted delicious. The manly melon comes with crystal boba (i.e., agar) and aloe. Next time I might ask if they'd substitute double aloe instead of the agar. The regular honey boba was not overly chewy, which is where some shops fall short. Parking was a breeze. There are several spots out front, and it was quick to order and pick up my drinks. The aesthetics of this place give off an Instagrammable vibe; there are huge TV like panels mounted on both walls. Pekoe is a newly opened boba shop in the Fairfax area. It's located on 50 right across Wawa. You can find more parking at the back of the building. Pekoe has a very nice and modern interior showcasing asymmetrical designs. This shop is a very cozy place to hang out with friends! They offer many varieties of drinks and even have split cups so if you can't decide on a fruit or a milk tea, you can get both. They have many drink specialties that I haven't seen in other boba shops like mung bean with pandan pudding, sugarcane juice, and French Chicoree. I love how they offer more than the regular flavors most shops have to offer. Thai tea - 4/5 the tea isn't over brewed and it doesn't taste like powder. The regular is a bit sweet but I think 50% would be perfect Yung mungy - 5/5 taste like ché I'm in luv with the coco - 5/5 if you love coconut this is the one for you Southern peach - 4/5 good but nothing too special (very refreshing) Emerald - 3/5 no prominent taste. Just taste like sugar juice The service is really great! Everyone working is very friendly and although it's their grand opening, they make the drinks pretty fast and the wait isn't very long. read more

The menu is smaller than most boba spots, but each is one is a unique combo of toppings and flavors. The split cup concept is so fun :) It really gives you the opportunity to either try more flavors or you could even split it with another person if you're not in the mood for a lot of boba. I tried two milk teas, and while they taste a bit different than I expected (not in a bad way), my favorite part was definitely all the fun toppings! The Thai Tea Whities is soooo rich, so I'm glad I got it as a split cup because I could never finish a whole cup of that. The TMT was also solid but nothing crazy. I'd love to go back to try the fruit teas! read more

Visited Pekoe this past weekend for the Grand Opening! The inside of Pekoe reminds me of TeaDM Eden Center location where it's loud music with beats and trying to be a night club scene lol when you walk in you see 2 big screens on each side of the wall playing EDM music videos. Clean, modern, and plenty of seating for a boba shop! For the grand opening they had a bogo special on drinks. This place is unique because they offer a split cup on their menu, which is essentially a cup split for 2 drinks in one cup. I ordered the Yung Mungy and Thai Tea Whities for one split cup and then Angela and Let's Get High for the second split cup. I got all drinks half sweet and regular ice. -Yung Mungy: I should have gotten this full sweetness. It's a mung bean drink with Pandan pudding. Similar to Vietnamese dessert Chè but not as fulfilling. The drink was okay and had a grainy texture and I would honestly order this at a viet place instead. -Thai Tea Whities: the matcha tasted artificial but it was refreshing. This drink was really sweet made as half sweet so I cannot imagine how sweet it would taste with full sweetness. -Angela: the winter melon tea was refreshing with crystalized boba and aloe in it. The sweetness was half sweet and a great balance to taste the tea flavor. - Let's Get High: the Oolong Tea flavor was milky and had 2 of my favorite toppings in here coffee jelly and grass jelly! By far one of my top 2 drinks so far. I wanted to try the Cuppa Vo but the Naugh-Teas do not apply to the split cup orders. I'll have to come back to try this since I have not as Vietnamese coffee with custard in it so far. read more
Really cute place with interesting decor! Our cashier was really nice and the order came out quite promptly. The tea (their lychee special) was pretty good, though I may opt for a different drink next time. Their peach tasted a lot like just sweet tea. Would come again! read more
Flavoring was good but the tea had a strange bitter after taste, almost grapefruit like so I was very confused. If it wasn't for this bitterness, I would've liked the tea more since it was milky and rich. It was pretty inside, they had a whole cherry blossom tree! Definitely good for the gram lol plenty of parking spaces outside. Good service. Friendly staff. read more

Drinks: 5/5 delishious & unique Service: 5/5 very nice peeps!!! Ambiance: 5/5 cute fun seatings! Very nice place! Just recently opened up in Fairfax. Drinks are delish! UNIQUE: Split Cup: Get 2 drinks for 1! Upon arrival someone opened the door for us! LOL so nice. Anyways, I stared at the menu for 8 minutes and no one made me feel like I took too long, instead they made recommendations and told me about the cool split drink cup! You can get two drinks in one cup! Also they had a BOGO deal for their grand opening. Most drinks come with toppings so less decision making, but you can still add your own toppings! When drinks were done they brought it to me. Overall: 5/5!!! So far I tried the following: Pekoe Special: Half sweet (would recommend just getting full sweet ) Mario & Luiychee: Half sweet (YUM) so good!! Loved this tea shop! Walked in and tried the Matcha man which I highly recommend for any matcha lovers ! The vibe is very lounge like, adult but still kid- friendly! Service is exceptional and there's a large variety of teas to choose from! This place is new to the area but operates like a veteran. I would definitely recommend and return to try other flavours ! read more
