Sharetea is definitely one of the better bubble tea places in the DMV. There's only one cup size so you don't have to worry about paying more to size up. The amount of boba/bubbles you get are plentiful and I think some places don't give you much either. For me I just wanted to try one of the special items. I got the Strawberry Matcha with Sakura Crystal Boba and it wasn't too sweet nor it was not enjoyable. The crystal boba is interesting as it doesn't have the tapioca taste but more akin to jelly. Matcha is one of my favorite flavors so when paired with strawberry syrup and milk, you really can't go wrong with it. Since it's close to my work, I guess I can always do a second visit! read more

About a 1-1.5: Whenever we were in the area or passing through this part of Fairfax, we were sure to make a stop - Unfortunately, the last few visits left us super disappointed in terms of what we received as drinks - the toppings are usually out, such as the mini pearls, and they're never replaced. As much as I want to give 5 stars, I've been here enough to say there are a few draw backs too this location. Overall, I love Sharetea for two main reasons, I LOVE the mini pearls, I have yet to find that anywhere else AND they're the only place that does ice blended milk tea! BUT I have noticed recently that their ice blended drinks haven't been up to par. Meaning half of my drink isn't blended enough and there are huge ice chunks at the bottom (not a huge deal but it's happened many times at this point to where I find that an constant drawback and deterrent) In the summer and warmer months, you can always find their location packed with a line of customers. Which is amazing for their business but expect to wait around for your drink as the workers are usually running around trying their best with what always seems like limited staff. They offer limited seating availability inside, so if you're looking to sit somewhere, make sure to come when it's not a busy time because the rest of their customer space has been taken over with storage in the front. I remember they had full seating in front before the pandemic and it was so lovely, but they have yet to open it fully back up again (this isn't a bad thing, just keep it in mind!) Their taro milk tea is a classic and one I usually got when going, and they are generous with the amount of bubbles they give, which is a plus. My sister also got their ginger milk tea, which surprised me by how good it was. Not sure if this place is under new management but the quality of the drinks has been lacking. I usually order the QQ Happy Family and the drink barely has anything in it. It should have red bean, big pearl, herb jelly, lychee, pudding and mini pearls but all it had was a little bit of red beans and big pearl. This has been the case the past several times Ive been here and they didnt seem busy at all to have run out of the toppings. Unfortunately this was my go to place for bubble tea but I will not be coming back anymore. read more

I love Sharetea and wish we had one closer to the Reston area. Of all the bubble tea places around nova, Sharetea is probably in my top 3 list. Their bubbles taste great and are perfectly cooked/sweet. The drinks are also delicious no matter what you get. They have mini pearls unlike other places, and even ice cream as a topping. The location is easy if you're on the way to somewhere so quickly grab and go spot. I had high expectations since I love the Sharetea in DC! Our drinks came out tasting watered-down and is overall mediocre compared to other boba places. The boba itself is very soft and not as good. I will say that the prices are average though, especially compared to other places that are a couple dollars more expensive. It also was not very busy and the drinks came out fast. Loved the small pearls more than the large boba. Husky and taro were good too. Just like other bubble tea places, you can adjust the amount of ice and sugar level. We decided to have 0% sugar for some of the drinks as they are already pretty sweet with red bean and other toppings. 30% is good enough unless you really like it super sweet. Whenever I am craving milk tea, I come here! Other than their milk tea selections, I also found their signature mojito and ice blended with ice cream quite refreshing! We got the Honey Milk Tea. I did wanted to try mini boba pearls since the drink does not come with toppings, but they ran out of them towards late afternoon. Although we did not add any other toppings they offered, the drink was still good and the sweetness level was perfect. Their service was quick and their staff were helpful. The handmade taro is blended with ice but has too much ice in it and supposedly they dont let you do less ice or no ice in it. The strawberry fresh milk with pearl does not have blended ice, but basically 60% of the cup was just ice cubes. I believe I also asked for no ice which they ignored. It already comes in a small 8oz to 12oz cup to begin with, and it's just unreasonable to put so much ice in it. Milk and syrup are fairly cheap ingredients to begin with so they could still afford to do no ice on a drink like this. read more

November 2021 - COVID Review: I used to work nearby but didn't really ever stop by to try it before since I've heard such mixed reviews. I stopped in with my friend recently and I was glad that the drink I chose was actually really good! I understand that with COVID, they have the plastic barrier up at the register and it can also be hard to hear when speaking with masks on and with all the background noise of drinks being made. I ordered the mango green tea (fruit tea) with creama on top, but when I saw my receipt, I was actually charged more for a mango green MILK tea with creama instead. I was able to let the cashier know just in time before my drink was made but she didn't apologize for the mix up nor did she say anything about how I was overcharged for an incorrect drink. I'd still give them another chance since the drink I chose was good, and hopefully there won't be a mix up with my order next time! read more

8/14/21 Today I thought I would try out Sharetea, but I wasn't 100% sure about this place. The staff were friendly enough and the place looked well kept. The items and prices are by the registers and television screen by the back wall. I failed to read the type of bubble 6topping they had. Shame on me. There wasn't any Passionfruit bubbles which would have set the tone for me. There wasn't any slushies on the menu and this was another let down. Nevertheless, thought I would try something new for that...you get the point...especially if you know the song. I went with a fuity type of drink called the Winter Melon Tea. The size I asked for is a small, because I had a feeling I might not like it. My feels were confirmed when acquiring my drink which turned out to be a regular size. From the first sip, I found bbn it much to sweet. The drink had 100% sweetness to it and I just couldn't swallow the liquid. I was refunded the drink I ordered and that was that. The manager on duty didn't really want to do a refund, and I felt a little guilty because the drink wasn't for me, but I have been on both sides of the fence in my current situation and sometimes a refund must be done. Still, while I was waiting for my order, I saw the South Korean boy called Big Bang sing the song Tonight. They looked more femminet than when I saw them last time. I just found out one of them retired and os now in prison for prostitution. The other members appear to be still making music. From the photos I saw, they got rid of the femminet I had seen in 2011 or the song tonight. I am digressing yet again. Sharedtea attracts a lot of people including someone I know on here. I did notice the left tv screen is flashing from light to dark. Whether this is intentional or non intentional, it make the screen hard to read. Although this tea place is good for many, it wasn't for me. Still I appreciate the way the team handled my disliking the drink and how quickly the problem was solved. Four stars overall. read more

Not bad, not bad. The mango milk tea I got was pretty good. They added a good amount of boba and lychee jelly. I'm hoping to try this place again in the near future. I don't usually go for fruity milk teas, so this was kinda hard to compare to other places where I'd usually get a green or black milk tea based drink. Other than that, I'd say this one is pretty tasty..In a good way. The line situation was a little chaotic. There were a lot of people waiting around which crowded the space inside. People were also standing outside around the door as well. Not the best enforced rules for social distancing, but maybe I just came at the busiest time of the day. Read a lot of good stuff about Sharetea and decided to check it out. The cashier was sweet and helpful. Our order was ready in no time. I love the variety of drinks they offer here. They have only one size cup for their drinks. You can choose your ice level (regular, less, or no ice) and sweetness level (100%, 80%, 50%, 30%, or 0%). I love that you can customize the amount of ice and sugar in your drink. Seating is available and the ambiance is laid back. Restrooms are in the back and clean. It smells so good in here, like freshly brewed tea. The drinks we tried were all delicious and well made. I really enjoyed the Happy Family Milk Tea. It had all sorts of goodies inside: regular pearls, mini pearls, red beans, herb jelly, pudding, and lychee jelly. It is tea time for sure at Sharetea. I think this will be my new go-to spot for bubble tea compared to the other options in the area. The fruit tea actually tastes like fruit. I got the Kiwi Fruit Tea with Auya Jelly and this is definitely on the top of my list. I went with 30% sweetness and regular ice. The chunks of kiwi at the bottom gave me all kinds of life. Sip after sip in a big straw of course. We also got he Strawberry Ice Blend with Lycee and Ice Cream. The scoop of ice cream on the top was decent too, not shabby or skimpy at all. The Mango Fruit Tea was great too, tastes like biting into a fresh mango without all the work to peel it to get to the good part! Staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as you hit the door. If you are unsure, they are more than willing to offer suggestions and what works well together. When you get to the register, look down as they have some suggestions such as the Top 10 flavors as well as a mini menu to look at. Don't forget to take in the wall of post-it's where you can find a little bit of everything from drawings, quotes, saying, shout outs, you name it, its probably up there. There is a small seating area as well. It was kinda packed when I was in there but the line moved quickly and the wait time was minimal from start to finish. Love the decor, and by decor, I mean the giant logo with hundreds upon hundreds of post it notes that surround it. What a cute idea for a wall in a bubble tea shop. Love it. The tea was good. Although having tried the Okinawa tea and the Chai Tea Latte - I'd definitely settle on the Okinawa tea next time. The chai seemed a little... unbalanced. It was still good, but i think it needed more milk ( at least for my taste). I hate docking stars for stuff like this: but I feel like our teas took an unreasonably long time to come out. There's something about that roasted brown sugar flavour. They just know how to do it here. Most people I've brought here have agreed, it's one of the best milk teas they've had. If you like fruit teas also try their Whole Lemon Black Tea. It's very sweet, so adjust the sugar if you want. Of course, you probably have to like lemon, but if you do, this could be one of the most delicious lemon drinks you've had. At this very special location in Fairfax, the decor is really nice too, with Post-it notes all over the walls. If you're in DC it's a little out of the way to get out here to Fairfax - especially with all the traffic - but believe me it's worth it for the Okinawa and the whole lemon. I almost missed a Tears For Fears concert just to come here for drinks beforehand. This location is owned by an Indian guy (I think), and what a great investment he made in this company. I hope they do very well. They keep the standards very high and it's a lovely place to hang out with really nice employees.
