Sharetea is my favorite boba places that I've tried so far. Belle C. taught me about the handmade taro with fresh milk. It is so delicious! I've never been to a boba shop that had actual chunks of taro in the drink. It's one of my go to drinks here! My other favorite are the cremas. I love how they give you a knife to slit both sides of the lid. That way you can drink the top crema part (the cheddary saltiness is so good) and on the other side you can put your straw through to get the sweet part of the drink below. I learned to ask for extra crema because I love it so much! I really like how you can change the sweetness of your drink in percentages. For example, with the handmade taro drink, I ask for 50% sweet for a lightly sweetened taste. Great place to get bubble tea! They are more Taiwanese so it's more authentic in that way. I do enjoy the milk tea and coffee milk tea. I had the tiny bobas and they were fun and squishy but after a while, I started to not enjoy them. I would get too much balls in my mouth (lol) and it's too much. They place is very cute. I was excited to try Sharetea from the moment I looked it up when I saw their sign when the store was under construction. From what I gathered it's a pretty well-branded franchise, and follows a model similar to Starbucks where they're constantly coming out with cool/shiny/new products. It does not disappoint! I've been here several times since, bringing new groups of people to try. Early on the store started a really cute activity where you can draw on post-it notes and stick them on the walls. They must have realized early on that the walls are pretty stark (which is funny to me because a very minimalist friend pointed that out to me as a complaint). Every group of people I've brought here prefers it to Kung Fu Tea. Service is about the same but the quality of tea is so much better (real tea, no powder), and they keep you coming back with new flavors. My favorites are by far the honey lemon aloe vera, and the taro with mini pearls. I don't like taro normally as a bubble tea flavor, but it's outstanding here (they may mix it with jasmine tea? I can't tell). People seem to have a love/hate relationship with the mini pearls but i am a huge fan. If you like the taste of bubbles but usually have a ton leftover once you finish your tea, I'd recommend the mini pearls. Same goes if you don't like how chewy the normal size are. But if you're fine with normal bubbles, stick with that! Please read the menu before you go because they do have a lot of good flavors but a lot of them don't overlap with KFT flavors. You won't find almond or oreo here, for example. If you do a price comparison you may think it's more expensive, but really it's about the same or cheaper because the size they offer is comparable to KFT's large size. In short, Sharetea is worth trying; my only complaint is that this is the only east coast location. read more

I tried the kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly. Filled with kiwi tidbits - I really liked this one a lot! Perfect when in the mood for sweet and sour!!! I tried the strawberry slush with vanilla ice cream & lychee jelly. I recommend reducing the sugar because the normal level IMO was too sweet for me. Came here tonight and it is a solid 3. The drinks aren't anything outstanding. We ordered the mango smoothie (without the ice cream) and with lychee jelly. It wasn't super strong on the mango flavor and overly sweet for the normal sweetness--granted I don't like it when the drinks are too sweet. It doesn't taste like they use fresh fruit at all--which I'm pretty sure is true. I believe they really stick to powders for most flavors and the inside space is also super meh. The menu also doesn't wow me. For an area with so many bubble tea places, these stores really need to step it up to stand out and Sharetea is overall just super average. read more

This place grew on me...my first visit I was skeptical... looks modern a hip kinda place with a digital menu. But there is just something about the variety of the menu that intrigues you. Multiple toppings your typical boba,tiny boba,pudding,aloe and Aiyu Jelly. Milk teas,Fruit Teas, Sea salt Crema topped and Ice Cream topped drinks. First visit here was with the bf and the bro. Myself I got the Kiwi Furit Tea which comes with Aiyu Jelly, the bf got the taro slush with boba his normal order and the bro got a mango green tea with Lychee jelly. I'll give them credit shared tea got the tea down to a science because it's actually really refreshing and not overly sweet. That Aiyu Jelly is perfect it counterbalances The tartness in the kiwi and sweetens the tea nicely. The Bf was less then impressed by their taro slush and thinks KFT is better. He said the boba was overcooked and the flavor was just too light. My bro said his was okay a bit too sweet for him but he would probably return and further customize his drink. Flash forward.... The bro normally isn't impressed by places and he happens to frequent this place more often now then KFT he thinks it's different and loves the mango green tea which he normally gets with Lychee jelly but has now converted to less sweet less ice and Aiyu Jelly. The BF returned to Shared tea again and got the passionfruit mango green tea with Aiyu Jelly and now agrees that shared tea makes really good tea. Myself I'll stick with my kiwi fruit tea with Aiyu Jelly. It's just the best. I came back to shared tea a couple of weeks later and was less then impressed by the Hawaiian fruit tea with Lychee Jelly. Only because they ran out of Aiyu Jelly (GASP). The Hawaiian tea was overly bitter probably from the hibiscus and tasted more like a dried pineapple. The Lychee jelly didn't help it was just a meh tea. So lesson learned Aiyu Jelly end of story. Oh and if your going to shared tea get tea. Simple enough but feel free to explore the menu there is enough variety that you are bound to find your fave. Good luck. read more

Overall, I am satisfied with this location as it is nearly perfect in almost every factor. First, it is a spotless place with excellent aesthetics, though I believe it could be slightly more organized. Though the staff was compliant and quick in having the order done, they were mostly neutral. Next, the atmosphere was perfect for nearly anyone (I quite enjoyed it). Finally, the place was accessible to anyone though it is hard to get up onto the sidewalk leading to the store as anyone who is disabled must travel a long way. I enjoyed the flavors of coconut and mango. Though it is not better than any other location, it is still very satisfactory and convenient to enter. tl;dr: Overall, it is satisfactory in almost every factor except for accessibility. Unfortunately I don't share some of my fellow yelpers' enthusiasm for this place. While I appreciate being able to pay about $5 for a larger size cup, the taste and consistency just didn't do it for me. I tried Hawaii Fruit Tea and Taro Milk Tea - both with pearls - and they were just alright. The drinks just didn't taste blended enough for me. They were generous with the pearls though, I like that. Sharetea offers quite an extensive menu of bubble tea flavors, highlighting customer favorites, as well as drinks that can be both hot and iced. The staff were friendly enough. Overall not a bad place, definitely worth trying. Just not my cup of tea. Price and proximity, however, may be incentive enough for me to visit again :) read more

The boba here is good, but average for the area. My mango green tea was exactly what I expected. We came during an afternoon rush on a Sunday so our wait was much longer than usual. If you're trying to satisfy your chain boba craving, I wouldn't recommend Sharetea over Vivi's or Kung Fu Tea, but if you're in the area, go ahead. Came with some friends after going to So KBBQ. It was one of the only places open! There is an option to add icecream to your bbtea which I think is cool. I guess that also makes it insta worthy. Tea is okay. I tried the Hokkaido which was good. Their standard black milk tea was eh. Probably would not get again. Another con is that the large is actually a tall skinny cup, so I am pretty sure the amount of tea youre getting is the same as if you get the medium. As the Kung Fu Tea empire spreads across the DMV, I feel obligated to give a plug for this older sibling OG franchise from Taipei with only one location in the region. Of course I'm a fan of both but comparing the two would be like comparing Alicia Keys (Sharetea) with Rihanna (Kung Fu Tea) Like Alicia Keys, Sharetea has a more classic sophisticated tone, especially with the richness of the brewed tea flavor and capturing the essential fruit taste in their fruit teas. The inner decor is classy but not too loud, and service is inviting and comforting. Like Rihanna, Kung Fu Tea comes at you bold and sexy with several different looks combining lots of toppings and intense flavors that compensate for tea (vocals) that is good but not the focal point. The ambiance also skews more towards a boisterous bustling environment with high but manic energy. 30% sweetness and less ice strikes the perfect balance for most drinks here since the default veers towards being too sweet. What I like the most about this spot is the consistency in the drinks (not sure if the KFT staff are all trained equally or perhaps the rush of orders causes them to be sloppy), the richness of the teas (far and away the best classic black pearl milk tea even compared to KFT on their best day), and the fact that the drinks come in one size that is priced at KFT small but in reality is more like a KFT "medium" (only small and large exist). For lack of a better descriptor, Sharetea just feels more Taiwanese so if you've been there and had boba tea from the motherland, you'll know what I mean. If not and you're in Fairfax, drive a little further past your local KFT and check out what you're missing. Pro-tip: be on the lookout for their unique seasonal flavors and toppings. read more

This is my favorite tea place, particularly in Fairfax! Honestly, Sharetea is my guilty pleasure after shopping for groceries at the Walmart in the next shopping center over. Even in San Francisco, I wasn't able to find the Okinawa tea anywhere (which is my favorite) but it's soooooo delicious. I highly recommend it if you've never had it! I also love that Sharetea has the regular boba and the tiny ones. I can't decide which one I like more, so I just switch between the two. They also have a wall full of post-it note art, which is usually what I find myself staring at every time I'm waiting for my order. Oh yeah, that's the one downside: sometimes they get REALLY crowded and so you'll have to wait quite a long time for your order. I think it's worth it, though. Sharetea! Their bubble tea is delish BUT apparently management takes tips from employees and pockets it themselves, which I believe is illegal. I was told this by some of the employees, don't believe they have any reason to lie. I have frequented this place for years and probably tipped hundreds possibly over $1000 in tips over the last few years (I get bubble tea very often), so I am very upset about this. I have friends who work at Starbucks, Dunkin, and other similar beverage establishments, and they all share the tips amongst employees as per Federal law. A great Sharetea location! The cafe is nice and there is a good amount of seating - definitely a nice spot to spend time with friends. I got my Sharetea go-to, the Happy Family Milk Tea, which comes with large and small pearls, grass jelly, pudding, coconut jelly, and red bean. The drink was just the right amount of sweetness for me at 80% sugar, and had the balance of creaminess and tea flavor that I crave in a good milk tea. The toppings were all good, especially the boba which was cooked to a perfect chewiness. For someone who loves toppings as much as me, you really can't beat getting a six-topping milk tea for $4.50! The only downside is that there is a $5 minimum for credit and debit card (sign only says credit). So bring cash or pay for a friend! read more

Just when I thought I had burst every bubble tea, tried every milk tea, and visited every boba shop popping up on every corner...along comes Sharetea! It's a bit hidden in the same shopping center as Chuy's off of Lee Hwy in Fairfax but worth the drive. I read that other reviewers enjoyed their fruit teas but I'm not really into those. My usual go-to is coffee milk tea--though the Coffee Creama caught my eye as it's listed as one of the top ten drinks. Now I know why! This is easily one of the best coffee drinks at any bubble tea shop that I've visited. Also they've got a great Creama schtick! No really, it's a stick for your drink called a Creama knife. You're supposed to make two slits on both ends of the top of your Creama drink, one for sipping and one for your straw. The sea salt cream alone is weird but it is transformed with the coffee milk tea: incredible complementary flavors! It takes out all the fun if you try to mix it all up so try the Creama first then sip your drink and alternate! Also you may want to try 50% sweetness otherwise you'll get a sick sugar high. COVID update - so your bubble tea is great but the way you are handling placing orders during this time is pretty awful. Also there were so many people who came up TO THE DOOR before realizing it was an online only order... Guys update that on your website or your voicemail or something.... If you have a confirmation status bar why not just have the whole order process in the status bar as well so you don't have a bunch of people waiting outside for 30-40 minutes when you have a delay or an extra large order? Or just send a ready to pick up text. There are so many ways to make this more convenient for your customers. I was standing outside with 5 other people was past our estimated pick-up times cos there was a delay. And you don't really get an order pick-up time estimate until you actually place your order. If I need to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for a bubble tea here I could just try to find another option instead. I would give your bubble tea 5 stars but until this process changes I don't really want to waste a bunch of my time sitting outside on a parking lot or outside your store waiting for a cup of bubble tea :/ read more

Decided to stop by here since I was in the area. The sweet lady working there recommended the peach kiwi tea w/ aiyu jelly & classic milk tea made with oolong & boba. Really enjoyed both! The peach kiwi tea is delicious & refreshing. I love the fresh kiwi (super tart but goes great with the sweetness) & the aiyu jelly adds a great texture. The milk tea was yummy too, but they put too much boba for me. Beware that they are super sweet. I asked for 50% sweet & its still too sweet for my liking. Next time I'll do 25%.
