Passion Fruit Green Tea with pineapple jelly and 2x boba
    Sara C.

I always come here and order a passionfruit green tea with pineapple jelly and boba, but this time I ordered double boba. I'm pretty sure I didn't get double boba, plus there weren't a lot of people inside. If it were busy, I would understand some mistakes. The service is usually quick even when it's busy. When there's a rush, it can get very loud which makes it hard to hear orders.

I got the mango milk tea with 10% sugar and mango jelly. It was pretty good. Did not taste artificial and had a nice dose of creaminess without feeling too thin or too heavy. I feel the selection is not aligned well to what I like normally so I give it 4 stars. Parking is tough. Ambiance is cute inside a with a creative use of space.

They put RICE in my drink. I kept getting pieces of odd chewy things in my mouth that's not the crystal boba. I spit them out on the second time to see what they are, it's rice!!! YUCK

Never ever buy Vietnamese coffee in tea-do. Im guessing they are using instant coffee. It's tastes like burning food.

Solid boba chain in annadale! I think this place is one of the two places that can nail down a kumquat flavored tea. The taro was good and so was the coconut milk. All we're around $5-6 so super fair!! The cashier was super fast and great at explaining and the inside is so nice. This is definitely a boba lounge with the wide seating and board games. Unlike Ben gongs or gongcha, this is a place where u can hang! Love tht, as getting boba is a social event.

Since I have my bubble tea obsession and get my cravings for it, we went to Tea-Do for that, and also to check out the other shops/restaurants in that shopping center. I got the milo (chocolate) milk tea which has cream and condensed milk that I shook to get it evenly distributed. I don't know if it has caffeine too but it wasn't too super sweet and it definitely had the milo flavor that I had grown up enjoying adding to my milk growing up. Milo is similar to Nesquik in flavor. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy. We loved the ambiance with the demon slayer decor. It's actually more spacious inside than you'd think once you walk in there. And the self service was quick, even with it being busy. I like how they have food options too like onigiri and takoyaki. They have a loyalty rewards program too for free merch. Thingamajigs, Shilla, and Iron Age is also in that shopping center. Plenty of parking.

This one was my personal fav out of the 3; I thought it was going to be a normal milk tea; i wasnt expecting the thick coconut or the passion fruit taste. The boba was spot on and just the right amount of chewyness and sweetness. -Prism Town Punch (inspo: Totodile) a tropical punch with blue curacao, citrus lemonade and aloe jelly. This one was the worst one, in my opinion. I love a good matcha latte but this was not it. It tasted like grass, I couldnt have more than 3 sips. My friend and I finished the other 2 and thought we'd give the matcha another try; it was worse this time than the initial tasting. I have no words.... truly just not great. The boba-ristas were nice and allowed us to switch out our straw toppers. We got 2 pikachus and 1 pokeball straw topper; they are super cute. The store is small with a few hightop tables, they have a new claw machine with some cute stuffed plushies and a photo booth.

They can be found on the parking lot where Joongmi is. We were on our way to another eatery, and we saw that there was a long line - we knew we had to stop by to check them out! Their menu is pretty straightforward - they have Chicken Shawarma and the Afghan Burger, and various juices (Banana, Special Mix, and Carrot). On our initial visit, the line moved extremely slowly, especially since there were some patrons who kept requesting various condiments/salt, who were holding up the line. In addition, there were some patrons who had placed an order earlier who was cutting in line to pick their food up as well. We wanted to try their Chicken Shawarma, but it was sold out! Note to self: get there early! On the next visit, we were able to get there early enough for a later lunch, and was able to order: +the Chicken Shawarma - a thin wrap filled with chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, olives, pickles, tomatoes, and onions; we opted out of the lettuce; the chicken was very well-marinated and flavorful, but this was not served hot; this was, at most, at room temperature, which wasn't really pleasant; also, the wrap could have been rolled a bit more tightly, as all the ingredients just continued to fall out +the Afghan Burger - a thin wrap filled with a sausage, fries, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions; we opted out of the lettuce; this was pretty decent, but the hand-cut fries were not hot or fresh; again, this wrap, as the Chicken Shawarma, was not served hot and was at room temperature; the wrap could have been rolled a bit more tightly, as all the ingredients and toppings were loose and fell out continuously +the Banana Juice - was similar to a thinned out smoothie; definitely not your typical sweet smoothie; this tasted fresh and doesn't seem to contain any sweeteners or sugar; I thought that this was just okay, but could have been prepared cold; this was, like the other food items, lukewarm The later crowd seems to get made-to-order items, as there's usually a line, and food has to be be kept up; however, our lunch experience seems to have the food already pre-cooked/pre-made, making it not fresh Staff were kind and friendly. Plenty of parking in the large lot. +room temperature food during off-peak times +shawarma runs out quick! +kind staff +plenty of parking +located at the Joongmi lot

The Chicken itself in the shawarma was a bit dry, but the combination of sauce, seasoning, and the afghan bread was really tasty, note that there is ALOT of black pepper. The Afghan burger itself was alright, the volume of food for the price you pay is pretty good, finding food in NoVA for sub $15 that will fill you up is always nice to see. There were fries, boiled eggs, and a sausage, along with a lot of black pepper once again, not sure if there was supposed to be a sauce but that might've helped the burger be a bit more tasty/less dry. Overall it's a pretty good option if you're passing by the food truck and want a quick bite, or are in the mood for shawarma/Afghan burgers in general! The food took a bit to prep, but service was really friendly.

Found this place on one of the food delivery services and was pleased to see it was a short hop away (less than a mile south of Mosaic District). The menu is pretty condensed, but continues to evolve as this is a relatively new joint. That said, a small menu often times means each and every dish is excellent (jack of all trades, master of none)? I picked up the Cucumber Tuna Cup-bob, Cucumber Tuna Rolls, and Cucumber Kimchi. All were top notch - fresh, light (healthy feeling), with good flavor. Everything tasted original and the freshly prepared. The Cucumber Kimchi had a decent kick to it (spice), so beware if you're used to less spicy kimchi. The bonus and probably what sets them apart is their focus on quality ingredients (halal meat with korean food? unheard of!). I'd love to see them add an option for 100% grass fed beef as well. Overall, I'd take this place any day of the week over a similar bowl-spot (like Chipotle or Rasa. TL;DR: A fantastic fast-casual spot to pick up some healthy/light, yet flavorful meals. Take advantage of their current "grand opening" pricing.
