Strawberry Matcha (left), Sparkling Passionfruit Tea (right)

A great spot to do work with clean interiors and cozy string lights. The drinks are overall solid, especially the fruit teas. The boba was a bit over-boiled, and the matcha was not as good as their classic drinks. Self-order at front of store. Indoor seating, bathroom access with code.

Always clean and peaceful whenever I stop by for a drink. The two drinks I ordered were quickly prepared and efficient definitely my style. Come here for a first date or a friend's hang out. There's always plenty of seats. Staff were super friendly and warm. If you feel introvert during your visit there are two kiosk to order without talking to anyone. Street parking only right in front of the store.

I've been going to Gong Cha for six years, and I love their milk tea and chocolate waffle. Sadly, the chocolate waffle has been discontinued. Still, Gong Cha has the best milk tea; it's a classic! Service is slow though

So many choices! Milk, no milk, pearls or gummies? Caffeine or not, how much sugar? You order from a kiosk, so not much interaction with the staff. I must say things were delivered with a smile.

My daughters and I are huge boba drink fans. We have been to this Gong Cha a few times. Gong Cha is a chain and we have been to the one in San Jose when we lived there and that one served great drinks. This Rockville store serves up the same great drinks plus they also have great mochi donuts. So far we have been here more for the mochi donuts than the drinks. Our favorite is the Ube one. The inside is very nice and there is a good amount of seating. The staff has always been friendly and efficient. So far the best one stop spot for great boba drinks+mochi donuts that we have found the Rockville+North Bethesda area.

My updated review on gong cha! Since I've finally moved to the Rockville area, I'm so excited that gong cha is so close by. I didn't try any of their food during the visit but would be down to try their waffle dessert. I ordered a taro coconut milk drink and within literally 2 minutes my beverage was done. Their service is amazing and my drink tasted great. They added in self-ordering kiosks which I think is so smart to expedite orders as a business. They also have a few tables but left the center of the room empty in case there are lines. I'm surprised it's not busy since I went on a Saturday night, it was pretty empty. There's also plenty of games available if you want to meet up with friends and just hang out. Would definitely recommend this gong cha location!

The chocolate flavored egg waffle with vanilla ice Cream was good. I washed it down with a cup of black coffee. You can order at a kiosk when you enter. This place is noisy with a bunch of 29-something's hanging out.

Gong Cha is one of my go-to bubble tea spots for a delicious drink! Ordering is easy here - you can order at the kiosk or with the baristas. My favorite drink is the Pearl Black Milk Tea! Can't go wrong with a classic. There's also seating and tables, which makes for a great bubble tea date!

Located along a string of trendy businesses on Rockville Pike, this Gong Cha is the perfect example of how not all chains are created equal. This location distinguishes itself from the rest through its ambiance and decor, and was the ideal experience to tame the boba fix my group and I desperately needed. For starters, that mural near the entrance is awesome. The real scotter in the front is the perfect prop for the ideal shot. The inside is bright, clean, and inviting and ideal for all occasions from after-dinner jaunts to a hang out amongst youngins in the night. They have board games and lots of seating, which includes a fun elevated corner for folks not looking for the usual seats and tables. Their milk tea selection will always be tops over the rest of their menu, which includes a "series" of brewed teas, smoothies, milk foam, marble, and even a creative mix of flavors. My preferred drink of the latter is the lemon wintermelon with basil seeds and the passionfruit green tea is quite good. While folks can enjoy their oolong, brown sugar, and taro milk teas, I think the purple sweet potato selections get overlooked a bit and their presentation is very purple ube-friendly. I haven't done the egg waffles or the mochi donuts here, but I trust they go well with the drinks. I think the service is quick, which is made more efficient with the self-order touch screen. I think their prices are what one would expect in boba-land (#1) nowadays. I would consider this a solid place to chill and work on their halfway decent WiFi and use their clean, solo gender-neutral restroom. ___________ (#1) $4-6 a pop.

Today I ordered the vanilla waffle with an extra scoop of icecream as oreo cookie crunch. Nice

I swung by here after dinner with a friend. The ordering process was easy -- you can place an order using the big touch screen menu right by the entrance, go up to the cashier, or use their mobile/online ordering system. I chose the strawberry smoothie boba drink. The order came out with the drink spewing out and making a giant sticky mess. No straw or napkin was offered upon receiving the item. The employee didn't care whether the drink was oozing or not. All of the tables were very dirty and sticky when we sat down. How an iced drink with so much ice tasted so lukewarm and melty baffles me. The drink itself tasted overly sweet despite selecting the 70% sweetness and less ice. The boba tasted very hard and chewy. It was as if I was chewing on hard candies. The strawberry syrup tasted like Robitussin cough syrup. Was the wait time and the $9 worth it? NO!!! We also ordered chocolate waffle. She was glad no ice cream was added to it because the waffle was scorching hot and it would have also made a soggy melty mess. The waffle itself so subtly sweet to the point it seemed bland when accompanied with our overly sweet drinks. For a close to $8+ in cost, I also do not recommend ordering this item. Our visit was also not the first time we ordered drinks and snacks from this particular location. I thought the last occasion was somewhat of a fluke that my smoothie was mostly just ice with syrup on the bottom and very melty. I wouldn't return again unless a friend insist we go.

It takes a little bit more effort to park and walk over to the shops/restaurants here. I usually park in the garage connected to Safeway, but it costs $6/hr after 2 hours fyi. Otherwise, it is very rare to be able to get a spot out front. The drinks here are good, just like how Gong Cha usually makes them so no complaints much about the quality. You can also use the touchscreen near the entrance to place orders. The customer service is just okay. I guess because it's a bunch of kids and possibly their first jobs, but meh. Expected. The seating area isn't always clean and sometimes I have to wipe tables before using them. Otherwise, it's just your standard Gong Cha really. Nothing bad, nothing amazing, but just standard.

Pro: parking garage, games, self ordering kiosk. Con: none. After eating at the hotpot restaurant that was next door me and some friends decided to swing by and get some bubble tea. Upon entering you have two self ordering kiosks and the left and some table seating on the right. Use the self ordering kiosks to customize your drink and order any food that they offer and pay. They have games such as jenga you can play as you drink. The environment was clean and organized. There some limited free parking in the front but if needed a parking garage is available. The first two hours are free. All in all, a pretty good place to stop by and get some good bubble tea

Once I let it cool, it had a citrus taste, but not sweet. I am still glad to have tried it and did not have to wait long for the order. Within a block of leaving the business, while holding the hot cup with one hand (the sleeve only helped a little), some of the hot tea spilled on me suddenly (I now have a burned scar on my knuckle). I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. When they say "hot" tea, they are not lying. Moving forward, no more hot drinks for me.

Some seatings were comfy (the ones in the back) and the others was a bit hard. Most of the pastries are in the middle with sweet ones on one side and savoys on the other. The price was really reasonable. I saw so many savoy ones I would love to try if I ever visit at BF time. I saw they have Cronut (Croissant and Donut in one). I had had Cronut in Vegas (at the Paris Hotel), but the ones here looked a little different so I wanted to try. Mistake. It was extremely greasy. The oil soaked through the paper plate and I had to squeeze the pieces I cut with napkins to get as much oil out as possible. I would give it a 2 star, it would have been good if not so oily. The egg tarts on the other hand deserved a 5 star. Love it. The latte tasted fine, but it took them a while to make it (almost 10 mins) and served in the normal paper cup, I was hoping for a nice latte art since it took so long.
