What a delicious meal. Had the chicken Bento, with fresh lemon green tea and their Matcha egg waffle. So delicious. Ill definitely be back to try more of their menu. Lot of space, you can do self checkout and the staff is great. They recently opened. Rockville has the best Asian food so Cuppa tea being in the scene is the best. Check them out! You wont be disappointed in my opinion.

After watching my granddaughter play lacrosse I was hot and thirsty. So, I decided to stop by and visit Cuppa Tea. There are 2 large kiosk machines that you place your order at and pay for your drinks and food. I decided to go with the coconut mango tea. I was really tempted to order the waffles or pineapple butter bun...they smelled so good. Service was good. My drink was delicious! It had a strong mango and coconut flavor. I loved the pieces of mango swirled into my tea. The price was around $8. There are plastic chairs and tables in the back. They have a mural on the back wall and the cutest English phone booth and children's seats in the front. I will definitely return for more bubble tea.

Tried Cuppa Tea for the first time, and it's a neat and unique tea and bubble waffle experience for the area! Interior is clean, items easy to order, and orders processed quickly. The outside heat makes it a little stuffy inside, but honestly that can't be helped. Ordered the pineapple tea and Velvet Milk Tea along with an egg tart bubble waffle. The teas were both good, and certainly not something I've seen anywhere else! The true star was the egg tart bubble waffle - warm, juicy, sweet, and eggie. We should have ordered one for each of us instead of sharing. Now I want egg custard in every pastry. Highly recommend a stop if you're in the area like we were!

Tried the Amber pearl milk tea, Hong Kong milk tea, and super fruit iced tea. The fruit tea was refreshing and light. I ordered the Amber pearl milk tea with less sweetness, which turned out to be the perfect balance since the pearls added enough sweetness on their own. The Hong Kong milk tea was strong, bold, and tasted classic.

Brand new location. Congrats on the grand opening! The store is spacious and clean! Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking. I tried the Amber pearl milk tea and it was perfect. I didn't request extra boba but it tasted like it did. Woot! The cup my drink came in was super cute.

I love it! Fabulous decor, friendly staff, excellent waffles, and delicious drinks. There's a seating area if you want to stay and relax, but it's just as easy to order and go. I see the appeal of using the touchpad versus ordering at the counter. The pineapple butter bun is SO GOOD OMG I COULD EAT 3 OF THEM IN ONE SITTING. I'll hate myself, but it could be done. You can customize the sweetness level and ice of your drinks while the plastic heat-sealed lid makes transport easy. Personally, it would be amazing if this were standard with drinks everywhere. Parking is a bit tight as it shares a lot with various establishments, so maybe carpool? Maybe during the day on a weekday wouldn't be too bad, but today (Saturday) was chaotic! I would make it a point to come back because those waffles were perfect. The prices are a little steep but it's expected for that area. Come thirsty, leave happy :)

I really liked the Egg Tart Waffle and HK Milk Tea, which had strong tea. The egg tart waffle was fluffy and filled with custard. The minced pork bento was mostly rice and not much veggies, so didn't seem worth it. My order also took awhile (~20 minutes) to prepare on a weekday afternoon, it didn't seem too busy but there was only one person working. I'd come back for the egg tart waffle and HK Milk Tea, and to try the other waffles and fruit tea.

Branching out in Maryland, Cuppa Tea has brought their authentic milk tea and egg waffles to Rockville Pike! It's about a 15 minute walk from the Rockville metro. I got the Signature Hong Kong milk tea with boba, so it came in the regular cup and not the glass bottle. The pearls were perfectly sweet and chewy. The milk tea was pretty close to the same thickness and sweetness that I remember from Hong Kong. It's been several years, but the flavor can immediately take me back. I also got the plain egg waffle, which comes in a paper holding apparatus. It was on the softer side, missing the crisp and crunchiness. I still enjoyed it. For to-go orders, they package the milk tea and egg waffle nicely in a plastic bag. Great service for a new business. If you were to eat there, it's very spacious inside, but lacking a bit on the number of tables.

My friend and I went after dinner and got the Signature HK Milk Tea and Amber Pearl Milk Tea. We went late in the evening so it wasn't very busy (it replaced Tea Do). We both liked ours but my friend felt like the amber pearl milk tea was a bit sweet even with less sweet. I like being able to reuse my container but wish my drank came with toppings. They have self ordering stations so we placed our drinks at the station. There wasn't any music playing from the speakers so it was pretty quiet. One recommendation I have is to bring in some board games so people can come to hangout to catch up and also play some games. Good amount of parking but it's shared with another restaurants.

Very happy that Cuppa Tea has a storefront in Rockville! Been a fan and have been to the other locations numerous times. Drinks and pastries are still great! Hoping they have the full menu they had on Taft Street once they settle into the space!

Such a cute spot to hang with friends at! They offer a great selection of HK style drink and eats, including HK milk tea, egg waffles, and other entrees. I really enjoyed their Minced pork with picked cucumber bento, Egg tart waffle, and Coconut mango with jelly drink. I was hoping for more pork floss in the pork sung egg waffle but was still a unique item to get there. I didn't love the black pepper beef bento but for any black pepper lovers, this may be up your alley. My fried enjoyed their HK milk tea as you can really taste the tea -- you are able to change the sugar levels in the hot version but not the cold version. Service is pretty reasonable in my opinion considering they make the egg waffles and bentos fresh -- I would say it took them 20 mins. Overall great experience!

It was my first time trying Cuppa Tea, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Turns out this location has only been open for a few weeks. There is another location in College Park and two others in New York It's a really cute place with a phone booth and small play area for kids. There are a couple of kiosks for ordering, but you can also order directly with the staff. They feature different milk teas, to include coconut milk drinks, and fruit teas as well as egg waffles, pineapple butter buns, and curry fishballs. All very traditional Hong Kong tea house snacks I tried their velvet milk tea, which I was worried would be too sweet. But after speaking with the manager, who assured me it would not be too sweet, true to his word it was perfect. The difference between the velvet milk tea and the traditional Hong Kong milk tea is the sugar that they use. The regular Hong Kong milk tea is sweetened with sugar, whereas the velvet milk tea is sweetened with condensed milk. I really enjoyed it; it was not diluted, is very smooth with just a hint of sweetness, and comes in a cute glass bottle, which i plan to reuse! I was debating between the original, salted egg yolk and the egg tart. For today, I tried the salted egg yolk egg waffle, and I have to say, it is one of my new favorite snacks. The saltiness really balances with the sweet and the egg waffle itself was soft with crispy edges, just perfect! I can't wait to go back and try some of the other flavors and their other snacks!

I visited during their grand opening weekend and was impressed! I ordered a couple different things in order to get the free pin and tote deal and loved everything I tried: Egg tart egg waffle - this was gooodddd Grape fresh lemon green tea with boba - a new one for me! Stronger on the lemon flavor but the grape was definitely there and there were fresh grapes and jelly included! Signature HK milk tea - if you order without toppings it comes in a cute glass bottle which was perfect since I saved this one for later! Strong black tea brew

The space is small, cozy, and intimate, with a dark, moody ambiance. Tables are fairly close together, so it's not the place for a quiet, private dinner, but it adds to the lively energy. The decor is beautiful and feels authentically Hong Kong. Service was solid, nothing over-the-top, but smooth, especially given how busy it gets. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation in advance since space is limited. The menu is on the smaller side, but thoughtfully updated. Everything is served family-style, so it's perfect for sharing with a small group. That said, portion sizes can vary...some dishes are great for the table, while others feel a bit small to split. Now, the food: We started with the croquettes-absolutely divine, especially with the bright yuzu sauce on top. The green beans were a standout for me (I'll never say no), and the addition of Anaheim peppers gave them a really nice twist. The scallion pancakes were perfectly fried with that ideal crispy texture. The daikon fritters were new to me, but I loved the dense, savory combination of shrimp and shiitake. The truffle dumplings were packed with flavor and definitely a highlight. The drunken noodles were good overall, though slightly on the dry side. The BBQ beef short ribs were a crowd favorite: rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying (even if a bit tricky to cut on the small plates!). And dessert deserves its own moment. The toasted sesame ice cream was so good. Light, nutty, and refreshing while still hitting that sweet craving. I'd honestly order THAT again and again. Overall, I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the menu...and next time, I'm vying for a seat at the chef's counter, which I've read is the best seat in the house.
