This was my first time into the restaurant and it's very cozy and quaint. The woman who helped us was so kind and wonderful! The food was 10/10, you can definitely tell it was fresh, not to mention there was not a long wait at all. We got there around 6:30ish and food came out by 6:45ish. Totally worth it! Make sure you go and try it!!!

Ordered their food for my daughters at home party lol

Soooooo I'm Chinese and Filipino and I rarely ever order Chinese food because if your Asian it's so hard to trust good carry out places. Spring Garden in Germantown was my go to but they closed. I wanted to get some carry out for my daughters birthday and I ordered like 4-5 items. The lady over the phone was very pleasant and nice. When I came there to pick my food up she was nice as well. I told her I don't order Chinese food like that so I hope it's good lol and she said I hope you come back. The food is the typical carry out tasting beef and broccoli and orange chicken and lo Mein. There fried chicken and friend rice wasn't good to me. The last carry out I went to, to get Mumbai sauce and fried chicken was Kenny's and I think I might just stick with Kenny's instead of this place. My mom wasn't impressed but it was decent. They have seating inside the place if you want to sit in. But they get 3 stars because the food is good enough to finish it and the customer service is on POINT! Very friendly compared to most places. And plenty of parking

I ordered on Christmas Eve for lunch. It got here in a flash! 1.99 delivery thru yelp/Grubhub. The food was hot, flavorful and really enjoyed it! Order consisted of egg drop soup, chicken chow fun (plenty veggies in it), chicken lomein, steamed dumplings, and fried chicken wings. Take it from a New Yorker food was very good. I've tried Chinese various times in this area and always disappointed. Hunan has a believer in me and I will order again soon. Top notch delivery too! Thank you and happy holidays.

This is not real food, it's horrible teste and if make the mistake of order from Uber eats make sure to call the restaurant and ask for utensils because it don't matter if you click on utensils they don't gonna put them for you I really feel sick after eat a 1/4 of my food, I put it on the trash.

Yum. Beef in black bean sauce chow fun! Reminds me of a great place off Shattuck Ave in Berkeley.

Portion is sufficient for two especially considering included vegetables. After sampling about a dozen offerings, it is safe to say we'd order any of these again, yet we are curious about the other dishes. For example, we tried the cold chili pig ear. Not knowing what to expect, we were delighted to enjoy spicy crunchy bite sized pieces as an appetizer. Not all experiments go well, but so far every dish has been a winner. Service (5): Constantly full water glass, tea refills, extra tableware, rapid delivery of dishes----nothing to complain about. We felt taken care of. Ambiance (4): It's a busy Chinese restaurant. Some tables are close to each other thus preventing discussion of any personal or sensitive topics. On the other hand, friendly comments on neighbor table dishes was enjoyable given the variety of dishes observed. "What is that?" "How's it taste?" "Wow - I want to get that next time!" "Would you take a photo of me with friends and food?" It's not required but suggest diners be prepared if they do not have a booth. Overall, a reliably good experience for families, and also some business talk. Lunch with tip averaged about $45 each but we had extra plates, tea, and some higher price items (i.e. branzino) HINT: Make a reservation. Be prepared for a full parking lot. We'll be back.

I don't need a big personality, just be efficient at what you're doing. The food was ok. In concept, it's much like the other locations. However, I was a bit turned off that they refused to make the dishes extra spicy ("crazy spicy" as noted at their other locations). One of the reasons we love his food is for the spice. Also, I know they have the tapas offering at many locations. In general, its the same food offered, but at a significant markup (ex. 1/4 the size of a traditional dish with only modest reduction in price).

We arrived right when they opened around 11 AM on a weekend and were seated immediately since it wasn't too busy yet. One thing to note is that the entire party needs to be present before being seated, which they enforce, but it helps keep things moving smoothly once you're inside. The service felt traditional and efficient, with attentive push carts circulating constantly, making it easy to see what's fresh and grab dishes as they come by. The staff were also accommodating with a baby seat, which made the visit comfortable for families. The steamed cart is always my favorite, and Far East does it well. Standouts for me were the shrimp rice crepe (silky and delicate), shrimp dumplings (har gow) with plump, juicy filling, and the steamed ribs, which were tender and flavorful. The chicken feet and tripe were also well prepared -- classic dim sum staples done right. I also loved the sticky rice, which was fragrant and satisfying, along with two must-order bakery items: the pineapple buns and egg tarts. Both were fresh and comforting, with the egg tarts having that perfect balance of flaky crust and smooth custard. Overall, Far East delivers a solid, traditional dim sum experience -- lively carts, reliable favorites, and a welcoming environment for groups and families. Great spot to gather, share dishes, and enjoy a relaxed weekend dim sum meal. Definitely glad to have seating back again.

That said, I probably wouldn't come back. I felt extremely thirsty after getting home, which made me think the dishes were pretty heavy on MSG. They also forgot the wide noodles we ordered and only brought them out later. By then, they hadn't been cooked together with the tomato broth, so it completely missed the essence. In terms of value, we only ordered three set meals plus one extra wide noodles, and the total came out to over a hundred. For what we got, the value felt pretty average. We then went to another restaurant in the next day, ordered six dishes plus drinks, and still spent less --with much more variety in flavors.

Ordered the beef combo knife slice noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, pork wontons with homemade spicy sauce, and the pan fried pork buns. The pan fried pork buns were the clear MVP here, perfectly crispy on the outside with that satisfying crunch, but soft and fluffy inside. Super filling too, which is always a win in my book. The beef noodle soup was solid comfort food with good portions, and the dumplings hit the spot. Only minor thing - I wished the "spicy sauce" had more kick to it. Could've used some extra heat, but that's me being picky. For the price and portion sizes, this place delivers (pun intended). You're getting a solid amount of food that actually tastes good. Would definitely order again, and those pork buns are going to be a repeat item for sure.
