Popped in after yoga. It was about 9:40 a.m. and the boba, unfortunately, wasn't ready yet. I ordered Jasmine green tea milk tea. Needed a little extra sugar but was bomb! The young person working was very nice and made sure to explain the boba situation to me before I ordered. I ordered from the kiosk (Apple Pay accepted) but I think you can order at the front, too. Large drink was $7.50 - no mods. Very cute inside. Perfect place for a coffee chat or flow state working.

I was really craving an ube drink while in the Rockville area which drew me to Ding Cafe and I'm glad it did! The ube coffee is an ube foam on vietnamese coffee which is such a great combo. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also picked up a Signature Milk Tea w boba for someone else and got good feedback on it too - good sweetness (at 50% sugar) and good flavor. The dine in area is spacious and filled with entertainment, so it wouldn't be a bad place to catch up with someone. They also have a happy hour special on weekdays 1-4pm to save 10% on two drinks.

Ding Cafe has gotten a " Glam up!" There is a new sign outside. I love the new tables and chairs. There are 4 large screen tv's. And,the inside signs and decor have been upgraded. Luckily, the service is still wonderful. The tea is delicious. I got my favorite taro tea with golden boba and I am very happy. There is also a fuzzball table in the cafe. Stop by to see the new decor, but make sure and stay for the tea. Enjoy!

Past by this place so many times, so glad I finally got a chance to try their tea out with my daughter today! The place is cute & nicely decorated, looks almost brand new although it had been around for a while. I had the passion fruit tea with 30% sugar, it was subtle and fruity. LOVE IT!!! My daughter had the ice coffee which was surprisingly refreshing and tasty. They have a huge selections of bubble teas & slushies , iced or hot coffee. I just wished they have salty snacks or appetizers options to go with the yummy drinks. This place is like a little gem in a quiet, not overly congested plaza. Parking is easy to find. The Café is in between a very good Thai restaurant & a newly opened L&L Hawaiian BBQ place. Also, a popular Taiwanese Bakery (named Japong) is only a few steps away. I would definitely come back to try a different drink next time.

I love a good bubble tea and ding still exceeds expectations in delicious teas. Today I tried the signature milk tea slush with slight sugar, black boba and egg pudding. It's so tasty! It wasn't too busy so our drinks came out right away. There were lots of tables so we enjoyed our tea in the shop. It's clean and cute. One big change is that now they have four massive televisions playing sports. They also now have a screen to order from, which was helpful except that not all the items have pictures.

Still find the ambiance wonderful (it's so cozy) and the coffee/milk teas are exceptional...but the flavored teas leave something to be desired. There's a bit of a saccharine aftertaste I wasn't too fond of. The jelly shapes are still the cutest though :)

First time coming here and I was so impressed, not only with the interior and how cute it is inside, but also with how helpful the staff is! I asked a few questions whether the milk was dairy free, and boba options, and I received exceeded expectations! The tea was not too sweet, which was great. Would be back again!

Located in a plaza on the more quiet part of Rockville Pike, I've been here several times since their opening. The service is pretty standard, never a wait when I've been, so I get my orders pretty quickly. Large variety of drinks, not just tea. With so many bubble tea options around, I usually only stop by if I'm close by already and usually after a meal, so I get their Medium size cause I'm full and their cups with the rounded bottom are pretty unique. But I keep forgetting how much ice comes standard - you can see from the Matcha one, it's half the cup and when you add boba, you're really not getting much tea at all - I guess always order the Large and you'll really be getting a Regular! Yes as many reviews said, the standard sugar level is on the sweeter side but that's why you can ask them to adjust. Pretty solid boba, but the value isn't there with so much ice - minus one star for that!

It cute in there with the little photo wall set up. The servers didn't really know if products were lactose free which could get them in legal trouble. I got the signature milk tea. It didn't really blow me away just milk tea that tasted more like powdery mall boba. To me I wish it had little more something to spruce it up.

This place and Teazzi are my two favorite bubble or boba tea places in the DC area. At Ding Tea I'm a huge fan of the aloe vera teas. I have had a couple of different flavors and they are all really good. I add boba to the chunks of aloe vera that's already a part of the drink. I have ordered the Monster Boba Latte for a couple of people and they were very impressed. The milk teas have been a hit too; get the wintermelon milk tea and the taro milk tea. Looking forward to coming back here and trying more of the menu. The workers are always friendly and they have great suggestions, so ask them questions if you have any.

Got their monster Bobo. Thought it was pretty damn spot on. Similar to another place's black sugar tea. I actually found this one less sweet. The flavor was overall great (until the very end when all ice had melted and I lost flavor) and the bubbles were just the right consistency. Price is higher than I'd like, as is all bubble tea now. Would definitely get this again.

Great choice for bubble tea! I've become a bit "obsessed" over the years and always looking to try new spots. I was picking up Thai food next door and noticed Ding Tea. Large enough indoor seating. Cute greenery backdrop with the name. The staff was friendly and helpful. I stopped in and placed an order for a regular mango milk tea, regular ice, 50% suga, and boba of course. It was yummy. It didn't make it all the way home. The prices are reasonable. I would visit again.

Ask the Community - Ding Cafe

With covid restriction being lifted, is there indoor seating available?

The last time I was there, they didn't have indoor seating and mask were still implemented.

What are the options for no caffeine drinks?

Taro milk Tea, winter melon tea, Monster Bobo Latte, All flavor Juice, Yakut

Do they have lactose free milk?

While Ding Tea does not offer lactose free milk, they use a non-dairy creamer in their drinks. However, their Monster Bobo drink does have actual milk in it so be careful.

Tables not cleaned and most uneven and wonky. Just one sad front of house employee working that I saw just getting through the orders that are self order. This place has zero ambiance. I went to the bathroom and toilet tissue was nearly out and there was no way to even get anyone's attention to attend to that. Employee just kept their head down working. Food- drinks were great. My favorite is the watermelon coconut jelly. We had the pork chop pineapple bun. This is still a good sandwich. Tastes like they used to make it. Juicy pork chop, sweet pineapple bun. The construction of the sandwich leaves much to be desired because all the wet veggie ingredients slide the entire sandwich. Once you start eating, you should not put this sandwich down or it will come apart. They should put the sandwich in a sleeve. We ordered the fried chicken bento box. This bento has changed a bit from their previous version. With the new paper packaging, there are less compartments for goodies. The fried chicken recipe is different as all the batter fell off the chicken and was just a mess. There was close to zero pickles greens. With the dish which I feel brings this kind of bento together. Conclusion is food is decent, ambiance sucks. Would order to go from here but any fried food from here will be a disaster after you get it home. Had high hopes as I loved the previous location's food. Now being able to "look behind the curtain" and see how everything is made, I kind of feel question the cleanliness of this place.

As I walked past to find a different lunch place, I saw a different door with an open sign in it, and noticed the "big crowd" inside. Popping in, I found four people. One looked to be taking pictures for social media. One was sitting at a table, one at the claw machine, and the last, very bored, at one of the counters. Not a great sign. So, the hall reminds me painfully of a mall food court. There are six ish restaurants along one side, lots of seating on the other, and it's literally otherwise a hall. A bar sits at one side, and that was indeed closed. The restaurants are little more than counters, and all have kiosks. Behind them is their presumably shared kitchen. The restaurants are all fast food style. You can order from any restaurant from any kiosk. I chose the Japanese restaurant Milan, and Gong Cha for boba tea (hi, my name is Joshua, and I'm a bobaholic). Gong Cha was good, Milan was okay, but I'm reviewing the space here. Oh, and one of the restaurants also sells cheap, $7 rings -- also a good sign. I did go to the restroom, and it was slightly terrifying. There's a sign over the urinals thats said "DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING." I am not sure what that meant, but I was careful not to touch any surface in the filthy bathroom. You ever use a restroom and you contemplate whether washing your hands after is a net gain or loss? Gross. After eating, I asked the one staff member where to put my tray, which was a single trash can on the far area. None of the restaurants really impressed me, and they're all chain-like. I can get better food in lots of other places, without the mall kiosk feeling. Like traditional malls, this place is painfully dying.
