We got the pinkfong cake for my daughter's birthday since it looked so cute. However the taste was the issue as it did not taste good at all. The frosting used on the outside and the cream used on the inside was not the fluffy and soft kind we liked and was not similar to the other cakes from this bakery that we liked. It tasted like hard butter and unfortunately we had to throw out the entire cake since everyone refused to eat more than the first bite. My husband asked the employee if this was a vanilla sponge cake and they said yes since he cannot eat chocolate cake. Unfortunately once we cut it, it was chocolate. It was a waste of $50+ and would not recommend unless you're just purchasing for pictures and not to eat. The mango and strawberry croissants were good with sweet whipped cream. Tried a mango cake from here and thought it was awesome. The perfect sweetness level. The cake is definitely an indulgence, but you can still taste the mango shining through and it's the real star of the dessert which is what I love. They have many desserts/pastries on display, but be warned, if you're not here early, some food has probably been standing out for a while and may not be fresh anymore. In situations like these, I'll buy a slice of cake instead which is stored in a refrigerated display and is generally less prone to being affected by freshness. read more

I'm usually a 4 star for this place but went today and had to knock it down. Ordered a vanilla latte and it tasted off (wrong syrup? expired milk?) and asked for it to be remade. They make it again, but medium and not large I paid for. They poured it into a large cup and just added more milk. It tasted like a large cup of milk. It was too busy to complain again. $7 down the drain. They need more help on weekends and should be attentive to these issues. Overall expensive and not sure quality lives up to cost. read more

They have a huge variety and plenty of seasonal items that are always fun to try. Everything is neatly displayed (which makes me very happy, haha), so you can browse at your own pace and load up your tray. Their cakes are beautiful and delicious too, perfect for celebrations or just because. :) The cafe is bright and clean with plenty of seating, but it's always very busy. Stopped by Tous Les Jours this morning to grab breakfast and picked up my usual. The Mont Blanc pastry, one of the few items they offer that doesn't contain soy. I went around 9:30am, and it wasn't busy at all, so service was quick and easy. I also tried a drink for the first time, the Pumpkin Matcha. I tried the pumpkin spice donut and i liked how theres a bit of cream ontop to see how it will look when you bite in. The dough layer was thinner than I expected it was majority cream and it was so fluffy i loved it! I thought it a slight cream cheese flavor too which was interesting. I enjoyed the fresh berries and texture of the cake, however, the frosting was a bit sweeter, and heavier than I imagined it would be. The Green Tea Cloud Cake Slice and the Guava Pastry were absolutely delicious. They were by far my favorite desserts. The space was clean, and the desserts were consistently restocked. The staff were friendly and pleasant to interact with. Went here today and enjoyed our americano and cappuccinos (also possible with almond milk) with 3 Pastel de nata, pain de chocolate, strawberry cram cake and garlic cream cheese cake. All food items are on display and you take what you like onto a tray. You then order your coffee/tee or other drinks at the cash desk and pay everything. You then can do take away or search for a table. I like that system. The cakes were really good, the pain de chocolate and pastel de nata were soso. The coffee was really good. Recently went to get a cloud cake for the first time and it was delicious. I got the mango cloud cake it was so soft and delicate and not too sweet. They have all types of flavors and designs to choose from. They even have pjnkfong and hello kitty cakes. The display case was well stocked and it was fun looking and deciding which cake to pick. Glad Tous le Jous opened a location at The Rio in Gaithersburg. They have a great selection of breads and pastries; some of which are French-Asian inspired. They also offer blended drinks, coffee, teas, breakfast, sandwiches, pies, and cakes. The goods here are baked daily, so the quality is good. Inside the bakery is very bright and inviting; the perfect setting for breakfast, a coffee break, or social meet-up. The customer service was very friendly and helpful. I just love this! We ate another location once, so this was time 2 at a Tous Les Jours. This one has a cute interior with plenty of seating. We chose one savory (garlic, parm) and two sweet (cocoa hazelnut croissant and strawberry cream soboro). My mom got a pecan croissant flattie. My favorite was the strawberry cream. The cream is so light and delicious and the pastry is flaky. Next was the garlic and parm; would def get again! The cocoa hazelnut was not that exciting, so I would skip that personally. The pecan flattie is different, because it's nutty and crisp. That would be a purchase to have a few bites over a few days. Overall, sooo good! Prices are reasonable. Who doesn't enjoy the smell of freshly baked goodies? I found myself entering Tous Les Jours on Grand Corner Ave. This bakery has only been open since December. The wall to wall tables and cases were full of breads, cookies, scones, tarts and danishes. They all looked delicious. The bakery itself is modern decor with light woods and an open seating area. Service was great. I brought my baked goods up to the counter and was waited on immediately. The young man was so nice and friendly. The cost was reasonable, about $11 for 3 items. One of my favorites was the half chocolate madeleine. It was soft spongy and the chocolate was rich and decadent. The rasberry cheese danish was very enjoyable. I was just looking for something a bit sweeter. I also wanted a crunchy exterior. The cranberry nut scone was to die for. Lots nuts, cranberries, and a soft tender dough that just melts in your mouth. That was a winner for me. They have some beautiful cakes at the front counter. I was excited to find a TOUS les JOURS in the Washingtonian Center. We went in to check it out and saw so many pastries and cakes that I had trouble deciding what to get. But both of my coffee drinks were far too sweet (like an IV shot of sugar) -- I couldn't finish mine and had to dilute it at home. My dad's cappuccino was mostly foam, with half the cup empty. Also, no vegan pastry options -- everything seemed to contain egg. Even one or two egg-free choices would make a big difference - it's 2025 - my parents couldn't even try anything - for now, we will stick with Whole Foods for vegan treats - would highly recommend the bakery to offer more options to accommodate more customers. read more

Been here a few times and its a great addition to the rio center. So far I've liked just about everything I've tried. Some people let their kids get gross and touch things or I've seen food left on top of the case and for whatever reason a lot of the clientele do not cover their mouths when they sneeze. However that's going to happen with any buffet like experience so there's not much you can do. The drinks have been pretty consistent in flavor. The lavender latte and matcha have been my favorites. I tried the ube and wasn't that impressed. The spinach feta pastry is my go to for non-sweet. Otherwise I try something new every time I come for a sweet. The mushroom and onion pastry I would pass on it's on a sweet pastry with a very strong mushroom flavor and they don't really play nice together. The weekends are pretty packed, so it's hard to get a seat and the tables are usually pretty dirty so we've mostly been taking to go. Overall I'm happy this place is here and I hope more cozy places like it come to the center read more

So glad to be able to patronize the new Tours Les Jours at the Rio! A different vibe than the one in Germantown, I like the way they turned the space into one of their own. It's a lot easier to access for folks who use mobility chairs in terms of the new layout and doors. Didn't visit the bathrooms, so I can't comment on that one yet. We went around 10:30am on a Sunday, so I was surprised to see they had only half of their offerings out. They have a help wanted sign up, so my assumption is they are understaffed in the kitchen. This doesn't lessen the quality of the experience or quality, in my opinion since they can't help that kind of thing. The line moved steadily, there was plenty of seating, and the ube latte with espresso was as good as I hoped it to be. I hope this location lasts, as we're so glad to not have to drive all the way to Germantown anymore. read more

Got some caramel almond danish, guava danish and honey lavender matcha latte for a friend, which apparently was tasty! Second visit ended up with more bakeries and dark chocolate mocha which was perfect as in not overly sweet. Overall great visits and still busy. Most of what I've tried has been delicious. The egg tart was a bit of a letdown, though--it was served cold and lacked flavor.
