Very busy location with plenty of garage parking connecting to the building. Perfect stop for people watching and a stroll through the popular Rio Entertainment area. I grabbed some quick pastries for the movie theater nearby and enjoyed them. They also serve iced and hot drinks that are picture worthy. Most of the displays are very clean and organized. I have a feeling this location will be very crowded because it is a corner location at a busy intersection.
First time here. The mango cloud cake is so delicious. Perfect combination of flavors. The area was crowded as it's a popular spot. The baked goods area was well stocked and clean. The staff was helpful. The seating area was comfortable. The vanilla bean cream in the tart was the best part.
We got the pinkfong cake for my daughter's birthday since it looked so cute. However the taste was the issue as it did not taste good at all. The frosting used on the outside and the cream used on the inside was not the fluffy and soft kind we liked and was not similar to the other cakes from this bakery that we liked. It tasted like hard butter and unfortunately we had to throw out the entire cake since everyone refused to eat more than the first bite. My husband asked the employee if this was a vanilla sponge cake and they said yes since he cannot eat chocolate cake. Unfortunately once we cut it, it was chocolate. It was a waste of $50+ and would not recommend unless you're just purchasing for pictures and not to eat. The mango and strawberry croissants were good with sweet whipped cream. I liked how the cream also tasted like mango in the mango croissant. The sweet pretzel was also good and crunchy. The inside of the store is nice with plenty of tables. I also liked how there were a lot of outlet spaces.
Tried a mango cake from here and thought it was awesome. The perfect sweetness level. The cake is definitely an indulgence, but you can still taste the mango shining through and it's the real star of the dessert which is what I love. They have many desserts/pastries on display, but be warned, if you're not here early, some food has probably been standing out for a while and may not be fresh anymore. In situations like these, I'll buy a slice of cake instead which is stored in a refrigerated display and is generally less prone to being affected by freshness.
Tous Les Jours is a lovely spot if you are craving fresh pastries, soft breads, or a little treat with your coffee/drinks. The moment you walk in, you are greeted with that warm, sweet bakery smell that makes it impossible to leave with just one item. They have a huge variety and plenty of seasonal items that are always fun to try. Everything is neatly displayed (which makes me very happy, haha), so you can browse at your own pace and load up your tray. Their cakes are beautiful and delicious too, perfect for celebrations or just because. :) The cafe is bright and clean with plenty of seating, but it's always very busy. So while it's a great place to hang out with friends and family, I wouldn't bring my laptop to work or read a book here. Staff are always friendly and efficient, even when it gets busy. Always a sweet spot in Gaithersburg!
Tous les Jours has such a beautiful bakery. Super clean, classy, and modern without feeling sterile. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. I tried the pumpkin spice donut and i liked how theres a bit of cream ontop to see how it will look when you bite in. The dough layer was thinner than I expected it was majority cream and it was so fluffy i loved it! I thought it a slight cream cheese flavor too which was interesting. Can't wait to go back and try more of their pastries, next time i want to try the maple doughnut!
Tous Les Jours has an array of baked goods and coffee drinks to choose from. The Blueberry Cloud Cake Slice was good. I enjoyed the fresh berries and texture of the cake, however, the frosting was a bit sweeter, and heavier than I imagined it would be. The Green Tea Cloud Cake Slice and the Guava Pastry were absolutely delicious. They were by far my favorite desserts. The space was clean, and the desserts were consistently restocked. The staff were friendly and pleasant to interact with. With great prices and a location within walking distance of the hotel, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family.
Love, love, love the fresh pastries. Walk in, grab a tray and a pair of tongs and fill your tray with delectable delights. Often crowded and a bit noisy but it's worth the visit. Self service and a pager is given if there is a wait for your coffee or tea. It can get a bit pricy with each item averaging around $4 each but it's so hard to stop putting items on your tray. Enjoy!
Went here today and enjoyed our americano and cappuccinos (also possible with almond milk) with 3 Pastel de nata, pain de chocolate, strawberry cram cake and garlic cream cheese cake. All food items are on display and you take what you like onto a tray. You then order your coffee/tee or other drinks at the cash desk and pay everything. You then can do take away or search for a table. I like that system. The cakes were really good, the pain de chocolate and pastel de nata were soso. The coffee was really good. They also sell bigger cakes which looked fantastic and did not seem expensive. This place is a clear recommendation, 5 well deserved stars.
Love this new location in Rio. Tous Les Jours has a French-Asian Fusion vibe. The environment is a cozy and inviting. This is a great place to meet up with your girlfriends- sit and chat while munching on some delicious pastry items. Parking is easy. We all got various items some to share there and some to take home. So what did I try? - Kimchi donut- it was recommended but I was skeptical. Omg- was I wrong. A must have. - honey cheese pancakes - perfect size and delicious - berries ab cream cheese danish- staple - mango donut- it has more of a floral taste. - lemon curd donut- must have I will definitely return.
Recently went to get a cloud cake for the first time and it was delicious. I got the mango cloud cake it was so soft and delicate and not too sweet. They have all types of flavors and designs to choose from. They even have pjnkfong and hello kitty cakes. The display case was well stocked and it was fun looking and deciding which cake to pick. They give you a plastic cutting knife what a nice touch. They will probably be my go to bakery for cakes! So easy to pickup and I love the selection!
I just love this! We ate another location once, so this was time 2 at a Tous Les Jours. This one has a cute interior with plenty of seating. We chose one savory (garlic, parm) and two sweet (cocoa hazelnut croissant and strawberry cream soboro). My mom got a pecan croissant flattie. My favorite was the strawberry cream. The cream is so light and delicious and the pastry is flaky. Next was the garlic and parm; would def get again! The cocoa hazelnut was not that exciting, so I would skip that personally. The pecan flattie is different, because it's nutty and crisp. That would be a purchase to have a few bites over a few days. Overall, sooo good! Prices are reasonable. We got 3 pastries and two coffees for $21.

Upon entering the bakery, there is a wide variety of options to self serve from. I opted for a donut with hazelnut filling and it was amazing! I wasn't completely sure I could serve myself and checked with an employee who was restocking the goods - she was friendly and helpful! Everything has labels of when it was baked and when it will be discarded. The restaurant itself was clean but the seats could use a good cleaning. Overall, it was great! read more

Tous le Jours My girlfriend and I needed to cool, so we stepped inside. She got a large, iced strawberry latte, made with real strawberry. I ordered a small, iced pistachio latte. Both had oat milk and were creamy and delicious. I think we drank them down in seconds. I also purchased a chocolate avalanche pastry. Since it's a French bakery, I had expected the pastry to be rich in chocolate and not sweet. Instead, it was the opposite. I'm not sure how the other dessert-based pastries are but I'm leery now. The person who took our order wasn't pleasant by any means, but I gave a tip anyway in case they were just overwhelmed and didn't feel like being welcoming. The interior is spacious with plenty of seating with some seating outdoors. The only issue with the environment is that there was a high whistle that filled the entire establishment. That inspired us to leave sooner than expected. Our greatest disappointment was to see that with all of their plastic cups that they did not have any recycling bins. read more
My first time visiting this business at any of their locations. I see they are in a prime spot in the Rio, as they surely stayed busy for the time, we were there. We were able to get a seat as someone else was leaving. I tried their Mango Cream Croissant. The croissant looks like it is slightly cut for the length of the pastry and then filled with mango cream and topped with mango pieces (both the cream and the mangoes were sweet). As a fan of mango, I loved this. While snacking on this, I decided to try their Mango Smoothie. It only comes in one size (16 oz), and you can get it with or without whipped cream (optional). After just 1 sip, I became an instant fan. Initially I thought I wouldn't like it because it is an iced beverage, but discovered the ice is very fine. You can certainly taste the mango flavor (delicious). Service was good. read more

Glad Tous le Jous opened a location at The Rio in Gaithersburg. They have a great selection of breads and pastries; some of which are French-Asian inspired. They also offer blended drinks, coffee, teas, breakfast, sandwiches, pies, and cakes. The goods here are baked daily, so the quality is good. Inside the bakery is very bright and inviting; the perfect setting for breakfast, a coffee break, or social meet-up. The customer service was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good experience and I will continue to visit when at The Rio. read more
Who doesn't enjoy the smell of freshly baked goodies? I found myself entering Tous Les Jours on Grand Corner Ave. This bakery has only been open since December. The wall to wall tables and cases were full of breads, cookies, scones, tarts and danishes. They all looked delicious. The bakery itself is modern decor with light woods and an open seating area. Service was great. I brought my baked goods up to the counter and was waited on immediately. The young man was so nice and friendly. The cost was reasonable, about $11 for 3 items. One of my favorites was the half chocolate madeleine. It was soft spongy and the chocolate was rich and decadent. The rasberry cheese danish was very enjoyable. I was just looking for something a bit sweeter. I also wanted a crunchy exterior. The cranberry nut scone was to die for. Lots nuts, cranberries, and a soft tender dough that just melts in your mouth. That was a winner for me. They have some beautiful cakes at the front counter. I filed that information away for the next special occasion. This bakery was a winner. And, the name Tous Les Jours means everyday in English. I can see me visiting everyday! ; ) read more
Great selection, fresh pastries. This location is very busy. I barely found a table to sit at during peak breakfast time around 10am Matcha tiramisu latte: I should have fully mixed this before drinking. It was sweeter towards the end. Not the best matcha I've had before but it was good. Matcha cream pastry: not very sweet which I liked. Stuffed with lots of filling/matcha cream read more
So happy there is finally a good bakery at Rio with a variety of reasonably priced sweet and savory options. Lots of fresh pastries to choose from no matter the time of day, and a good number of savory options are available. You can pick out the pastries yourself, to pay up front. When you order drinks, you're given a pager so that you can take a seat until your order is ready (and no one is screaming out names from the counter). This is a good pop-in place for a date, for families looking for a quick snack, someplace to grab a drink and dessert after a meal, or just a place to come for a little treat! They also have a semi-glassed off study/work area and a larger table that would be great for a study group meeting. All the seating and decor is fresh, light, comfortable, and welcoming. It's a pleasant space to be in, even when busy! read more

I love this place. I've come here serval times especially for their tiramisu matcha latte. Unfortunately, every staff member makes its differently. Out of all the times I had it, I can say 2 times it was made the best. The best ratio of cream, matcha, sweetness, etc. They always have a variety of pastries to pick from. & though the line can be a little long sometimes, they move fast. I've sat in the restaurant a couple times, usually there is a lot of people, but it a really nice establishment. read more
I was excited to find a TOUS les JOURS in the Washingtonian Center. We went in to check it out and saw so many pastries and cakes that I had trouble deciding what to get. They were all very appealing. We eventually chose the original coffee bun and the Apple Jam Mont Blanc. Both were fresh, delicious, and not too sweet-just the way we like them. We will definitely go back to try other pastries. read more

Tous Les Jours is a fun, clean, and well-organized bakery. I really appreciate how they rotate their baked goods every four hours to keep everything fresh. The food is tasty, and while the prices are a bit on the higher side, they feel fair for the quality. The staff experience could be a little warmer. When my husband and I visited, it was disappointing that there wasn't a simple acknowledgment of his military service. Discounts are never expected or required, but a kind word or a simple "thank you for your service" can mean a lot -- especially when someone is clearly a Wounded Warrior who has made visible sacrifices. It's a small gesture that goes a long way. We still enjoy visiting and appreciate the care that goes into the food and atmosphere. With just a bit more warmth and gratitude, Tous Les Jours could easily become one of our favorite spots. read more

This bakery is set up very similarly to Paris Baguette. Trays with tongs, as well as takeout bags and boxes are near the door. The pastries and breads are in clean spacious cases enclosed in glass doors) with labels. A good array of savory (croissants, croquettes, flatbreads) and sweet (soboro, donuts, tarts) are there for the choosing. There is also a refrigerated section with pre-made sandwiches to go. The cash register counter also has cases of cake slices. One can order an array of cold and hot drinks at the counter (menu above the register). We shared a strawberry cream soboro bun and chocolate cake slice. The cake was not too sweet but was soft and creamy. The bun had a copious amount of whipped cream, fresh strawberries and a firm powdered bun. Loved both items, will need to try everything else offered. read more
This is a spacious yet cute cafe thar offers plenty of savory and sweet pastry options. There is also a decently sized drink selection (both hot and iced and well as decaf and caffeinated). There is a large amount of seating with comfortable chairs and booths. Despite being crowded on a Saturday afternoon, I was able to find a spot to sit and enjoy my drink and pastry while doing some work. read more
Im not new to TLJ but its way too busy on the weekends. So many delicious pastries to chose from. Don't come on an empty stomach as you'll crave everything. You grab a tray and then a line and tongs and grab what every you desire. I love the stuffed croissants. My pastries w were pre wrapped and were fresh. Very happy and friendly employees. This is located where Corner Bakery used to be. Im so happy they are here! read more

Love New Beginnings-- like Grand Openings New pastries shop just opened in the RIO shopping center. It's the style of place, where you get a tray and pastry film, then you can mad and select all the pastries you want. There's so many options, your favorite pastry and more. Very popular among the people, as it's so new it's extremely busy. It's a warm and inviting place, with so many seating spaces, some private spaces and some communal tables. People can meet their friends, work on project or complete their projects together. I feel like I'll return but perhaps during an off time, early or later in the day might work. read more
Lovely bakery with so many options. Everything I purchased was tasty and fresh. Their drip coffee was strong and delicious. They had many options for other drinks, but with the sweet pastries I had to refrain. Check out was friendly and quick, even with a long line (this place is popular!). It was a bright large space with tables and couches. Good place to have meet ups or work remotely. read more
Been here a few times and its a great addition to the rio center. So far I've liked just about everything I've tried. Some people let their kids get gross and touch things or I've seen food left on top of the case and for whatever reason a lot of the clientele do not cover their mouths when they sneeze. However that's going to happen with any buffet like experience so there's not much you can do. The drinks have been pretty consistent in flavor. The lavender latte and matcha have been my favorites. I tried the ube and wasn't that impressed. The spinach feta pastry is my go to for non-sweet. Otherwise I try something new every time I come for a sweet. The mushroom and onion pastry I would pass on it's on a sweet pastry with a very strong mushroom flavor and they don't really play nice together. The weekends are pretty packed, so it's hard to get a seat and the tables are usually pretty dirty so we've mostly been taking to go. Overall I'm happy this place is here and I hope more cozy places like it come to the center read more

So glad to be able to patronize the new Tours Les Jours at the Rio! A different vibe than the one in Germantown, I like the way they turned the space into one of their own. It's a lot easier to access for folks who use mobility chairs in terms of the new layout and doors. Didn't visit the bathrooms, so I can't comment on that one yet. We went around 10:30am on a Sunday, so I was surprised to see they had only half of their offerings out. They have a help wanted sign up, so my assumption is they are understaffed in the kitchen. This doesn't lessen the quality of the experience or quality, in my opinion since they can't help that kind of thing. The line moved steadily, there was plenty of seating, and the ube latte with espresso was as good as I hoped it to be. I hope this location lasts, as we're so glad to not have to drive all the way to Germantown anymore. read more
Not new to TLJ just very excited to have one nearby. There is another nearby location in Germantown but just excited to have one in Rio meaning they will see more of me on Saturdays lol. Came on grand opening day at first, crowded ofc but was able to get out within 30 mins. The free tumbler was gone; unfortunately I didn't realize could had gotten the glass mug if I had ordered more. By that time, the lines already started.. oh well. Wide open spaces with nice decor and cleared line to check out to avoid overcrowding in the area, which I thought was nice. Got some caramel almond danish, guava danish and honey lavender matcha latte for a friend, which apparently was tasty! Second visit ended up with more bakeries and dark chocolate mocha which was perfect as in not overly sweet. Overall great visits and still busy. Just be prepared to watch out for tables or have a friend grab a table and the other do the order. Haha. read more
ous Les Jours is one of my favorite Korean bakeries in the DMV area. I really appreciate how consistent the quality is across all their locations. This particular spot is especially convenient--right by RIO--and has a spacious seating area that's perfect for relaxing after a meal. It's a great place to grab dessert, fresh bread, or a drink while catching up with friends. The seating is comfortable, and there's a wide variety of baked goods to choose from. Most of what I've tried has been delicious. The egg tart was a bit of a letdown, though--it was served cold and lacked flavor. Still, I'll definitely keep coming back to explore more of their offerings. There are so many great options, and the overall experience is always enjoyable. If you go, you have to try the blueberry cloud cake--it's a must! read more
