What do you do when you are put in charge of getting dessert for a gathering and you want everyone to try something different. The first thing I thought of was getting a box of mini cakes from here. I have my favorites but decided to mix things up and get what I thought was a little bit of everything - some of these I have not yet tried. Here is what I got: Black Forest, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Truffle, Mango, Raspberry, Red Velvet, Tiramisu, and Vanilla Bean. The initial thought was to cut each of these minis in half, but I am so glad I did not do that. At the gathering I attended, everyone liked the selections. Round of Applause for their new second location!! It is lovely! The seating, the lighting, the classic french/Parisian music, and clean modern vibe is just extraordinary. They made getting pastries and coffee (and other assorted drinks) an experience! The customer service was just as lovely as the venue. The person that attended to me was personable and gave excellent recommendations. Parking is easy with two parking lots nearby! The food looks and tastes amazing. My visit was very impromptu, so I only tried the spinach and feta croissant (?) and a hot chai tea, and both were delectable. I also ordered 2 pieces of cakes to go, but ended up giving it away due to being too full from dinner. But I can't wait to visit this location again! Highly recommend! read more

This place is perfect if you were just looking for a light quick sweet snack We stopped by here on an afternoon where we just wanted a quick bite and the portions are perfect to share with someone or have by yourself, because sometimes you just need a piece of cake! Staff was friendly, and they have an assortment of goodies from cake to baklava to cookies. I got a small piece of tiramisu cake and coconut cake, the coconut cake was extremely dry, but the flavor was good. And the tiramisu cake was delicious as well, but more cake form than traditional tiramisu. But the winner of all the treats was the baklava, I went with my friend who is Middle Eastern and she said it tasted like her grandmothers so that's a huge compliment. read more

Purchased a cake sampler because it looked super fun and I love trying a variety of cakes. Overall, it was all very tasty. That said, a few of the cakes tasted a bit dry or could use more moisture or stronger flavor (such as the Oreo cake). Really enjoyed the cakes with the fresh fruit on top, carrot cake, chocolate, and red velvet. read more

I had lunch next door and decided I needed something sweet afterward. Now I regret it, not because it was bad, but because it was way too good and I know I'm coming back. Repeatedly. This bakery is tucked into that odd little outbuilding with Moby Dick Kabobs and CalTort, so you have to look around a bit to find it, but it's absolutely worth the detour. Inside is spotless, bright, and full of dangerously good-looking pastries. What really stood out was how many were different, not just the usual lineup but things you don't see everywhere. I grabbed a couple slices of cake and some rosewater pastries whose names I can't remember. Doesn't matter. They didn't survive the drive home. The cakes did, barely, and they were just as good the next day. The staff were great too, friendly, patient, and happy to explain what everything was. Nice, cute legit bakery. The little cakes looked amazing. I had a hard time deciding, but I went with the tiramisu. It's amazingly fluffy. The place is nicely designed and has some seating inside. Coffee are not oer true cafe rxpressi machines but a similar auto coffe maker you can find at work. Service is what's lacking. The stack disappeared right after my order and never actually told me that my coffe was ready. I had to assume the coffee standing there was mine. I hope whomever is running this place is more involved. read more

I was disappointed the first time I went to this bakery, lots of frosting, but little cake in the cakes. Being a cakeaholic, I went back to give the place a chance. Same thing each time. Service was ok, but the middle age woman who works there had a constant scowl on her face. I'll stick with the Giant bakery or Passion bakery in Sandy Spring. read more

All I wanted was a little treat to end my week. I had never been in Classic Bakery, so thought I'd give them a try. Their location is a little awkward to get in to, but I managed. It was not busy, maybe one other customer sitting at a table. They have a modest display of pastries & cookies. I chose a cupcake & two fancy cookies. When I got home. I couldn't wait to try the cupcake. Well, it was the most dried out stale cupcake I've ever purchased - and I'm a senior citizen. $4.00 in the garbage! Each cookie was $4.00 also.
