I love love the Coconut Mango Bloom! It was so delicious and refreshing. The store is beautifully designed, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I had such a great experience and would definitely come back again!
New favorite boba spot Their flavors are so well thought out. This was my second time going and I got their brown sugar boba tea it was really good! But the mango one.. is a must try. Also if there is anything there that has the cheese foam.. get it and just trust me you won't regret it. Ambiance is really cute.
Consistent yummy and refreshing drinks that aren't too heavy, probably best in the area! My go tos are the coconut mango boom (classic) and guava green grape (seasonal) with less sugar and less ice - my whole family enjoys them. Only downside is service is just okay, and they don't call out the order numbers so look on the screen to see when your drink is done. It can also get quite busy, but never too bad.
You know when you feel like a treat? Well, I just head over to Hey Tea in Rockville and grab myself a mango grapefruit boom. The tea is refreshing and thirst quenching. I love their fresh fruit, for which is what Hey Tea is known for. I also really like how you can personalize your drink. I like mine with less ice and 80 percent sugar. It comes out perfect every time. Service is great and they are always so nice. They are usually working hard, it is always packed with customers. The ambiance is definitely Japanese styling in beige with minimal colors. So, if you are feeling like a treat, head over to Hey Tea and enjoy the taste!
One of the best boba places in the Rockville area. Every drink so far has been delicious. I've tried the fruity drinks and the milk teas and I have not been dissatisfied yet. From what I see on the app, there have been a lot of sales, which is always a plus side. You can either be greedy or give the other to someone else. The only downside is that the shop is a little small and cramped a good majority of the time, especially evenings. Sometimes this makes wait times a little longer than usual, so it gets a little frustrating. It can get a little discombobulating, which one is a line or which one is a Also, I noticed that online orders seem to get prioritized often in the queue (based on observation with the numbering system), but I can be wrong. Parking can be stressful, because it is always packed at this shopping center, making it difficult to get in and out easily.
Big fan. I have yet to try a drink here that doesn't satisfy my sweet tooth. I think this beats all bubble tea and boba places in the area by a mile. All the drinks made here are made with real tea and no artificial sweeteners. The Green grape cloud, Brown sugar milk tea, Tiramisu tea and the Jasmine tea are my personal favorites. I will be visiting a lot more! This place is very popular so wait times can get pretty long over the weekend.
Long wait Good price The brown sugar boba had a Thick and flavorful texture and Delicious boba The crisp grape boom was also really good! The grapes were really good and it was very fresh I'd def come again!
HeyTea has become my new boba spot. Highly recommend ordering in advance on their app and follow them on socials to stay up to date on all of their specials. Some of my favs include the grapefruit, coconut mango, cloud coconut, and crisp grape boom. The drinks are made quickly and delicious. I saw some people sitting and working, but I am not sure its the most comfortable for long periods of time. Big fan of the chain and so glad its made it to Moco. Expect longer wait times on the weekend or promo days.
This is one of Rockville's hottest spots on a Saturday night, and they close at 9:30pm! Despite the heavy demand, the HeyTea staff has the service down cold. It's factory with how many drink orders they can churn out! They were very helpful in picking out a drink. I ended up getting the special Cloud Green Grape on a cold night and it was very refreshing. The cloud is cheese foam on top. You might think that is strange to add on a grape drink, but I believe the creaminess helped provide a little milky texture that made it even better. It's an icy drink on the bottom, but the melt over time does not water down the drink so the taste stays mostly consistent. There are real pieces of green grape, so make sure to get a wide straw! I've also gotten the Mango Boom at a New York location and it was fantastic. This place has plenty of tables inside, but when it's crowded and you have a big group it could be difficult to grab a seat. I would say HeyTea is better for grab and go, but if you do what to chill out there just be aware!
This place was so crowded and a bit chaotic on a Saturday. You can order at the counter so don't feel that you need to download the app! There were so many things that I wanted to try but I started with the King Jasmine Guava with 30% sugar. It was refreshing and the gauva milk cap was a bit salty to add balance. A lot of people seemed to get the mango sago drink so i think that'll be on my list next!
I was craving matcha so decided to try the triple supreme matcha latte again last week and it was delicious. I just ordered it again for delivery and I like how they package their orders. I always worry about getting drinks delivered. It's very secure! I still think it's too expensive for the size but it's yummy.
Hey Tea is a cute and aesthetic bubble tea shop with good, light, and refreshing drinks! As we were ordering, I couldn't help but notice how extremely busy their takeout was in addition to their in-store orders. The entire counter surface by the register was covered by drinks but it was very organized! The staff were so friendly and patient when I was curious about the menu and also asked them about the names of some of the drinks on the counter. Very appreciative of this great service! We ordered the cloud coconut blue and coconut mango boom. I do wish the matcha wasn't so bitter for the cloud coconut blue.. the slight sweetness of the coconut juice balanced the drink out nicely though. As for the coconut mango boom, it was a rich, creamy, and not too overly sweet drink with a decent amount of mango chunks and sago! I'd recommend trying this spot out and ordering the coconut mango boom! Will definitely go back to try more of their menu!
5 star boba for sure. It's not as crowded as it used to be around opening day but around 8 pm you might get lucky and there's a down period where there's barely anyone. Service was quick but the guy taking my order was super quiet it was hard to hear. It looks beautifully modern and smells like really fresh tea when you enter. Highly recommend the coconut mango boom and coconut cloud matcha!

I recently experienced HEYTEA and absolutely loved it! There were so many options that I wasn't sure what to try, but the friendly staff were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the diverse and intriguing selections. I decided to try the Coconut Mango Boom, and it was so good! The creamy coconut paired beautifully with the sweet, slightly tangy mango, giving it a refreshing tropical flavor. I also loved that the tea is freshly brewed, which really adds to the experience. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with plenty of comfortable seating, including areas where you can sit and enjoy your drink with a friend. HEYTEA is located in Wintergreen Plaza, which has plenty of free parking, making it easy and convenient to visit. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more of their offerings! read more

Came here since I had time to kill and had heard about this place. It was cute inside with low seats and tables; looked clean and modern. This was my first time there and I asked the person at the counter about their drinks since they were different than at other boba tea places I've frequented. I told him I like milk based teas and asked about their jasmine tea. He couldn't really explain the different tea flavors. Also wasn't very helpful, especially when I saw the jasmine tea was not milk based (after I had purchased it). I adjusted the sugar to 75%, but it needed more sugar. I also ordered the mango coconut cream drink for my daughter. I do appreciate they use real fruit and that it looked pretty but I really don't see what the hype is about. I didn't like my jasmine tea and my daughter, nor I, liked the mango coconut tea. Definitely not a fan ... won't be back. read more
Parking may be limited but this location makes drinks pretty quick. I ordered online and went in to pick up somewhat quickly. There should be a clear designated pickup section tho because people are just standing in front on the register blocking the path when I went in to pick up. I felt like I was cutting in front of someone about to place an order only to find out they were just standing in the way the entire time. Tried out the new strawberries and creme jasmine drink and I'd prefer to do regular sweetness as compared to the recommended less sweet. The drink itself was kinda bland and lacking in sweetness when I ordered the recommended sweetness. The jasmine tea was bland. I did my best to mix in the strawberry cloud and it kinda saved the drink a bit. It was a refreshing strawberries and cream like drink with a hint of jasmine. read more

Hi was nice. Nice space and ambiance. Great place to hang with friends or grab to go. I got the mango grapefruit boom that was like a slushie. Really good! I do wish they had other options for people who cant have Dairy. Hopefully they have options like oat or almond to swap with then milk. Overall ill go back. Get their Apple to get great discounts on drinks and points its nice. I got 25% off my drink. The service was good and I love how the app tell you how many minutes it will take for your order to be done and when its done! read more

Great new boba spot in the area! When you walk in, you're welcomed by the alluring aroma of tea. Love the clean and minimalist aesthetic. We came in pretty late (after dinner) so all of the seats were taken, but it wasn't as crowded as it is during the day sometimes. I had the coconut matcha bobo which was really pretty. The matcha part of the drink was good, but the spirulina wasn't really for me. The boba was good. I downloaded the app and ordered off there. It was easy to navigate and convenient. read more

HeyTea is the newest Asian bubble tea joint that opened up on Rockville Pike. It's still pretty crowded so the wait for the drinks can take a while. On my first visit, I ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. It was alright. Typical milk tea. On my second visit, I got the Mango Coconut Bloom, at someone's recommendation. I usually don't care for mango, but this was delectable! It's a wonderful summer drink! I would like to try their other drinks, but they are a little pricey so it's going to be an occasional thing. read more
Great tasty teas, the jasmine cloud is my favorite and dominates the list of teas we've ordered here. They make it very concentrated, you can smell the tea as soon as you walk through the door. They have occasional 2 for 1 deals on Fridays which makes the lines a bit crazy but you can preorder ahead in the app, which is strongly recommended to get points for coupons and stuff. Today we got the Matcha latte cloud which had a 2 for 1 deal, there were 70 orders ahead of ours, but we still got it within 15 minutes. read more
Hey Tea isn't just hype, it's a habit waiting to happen. The moment you walk in, you're hit with this bright, clean tea aroma and sleek minimalist décor that basically whispers, "Yes, you are about to spend all your money here." And sure enough, after trying four different drinks, I knew I was doomed. These weren't just teas -- these were qualiTEA drinks, my friends. Now, the menu is a little mysterious. Not your basic boba lineup, but they do have some classics for the boba purists. As far as I could gather: Cloud = topped with sweet salty cheese foam Crisp = iced teas, often fruit-infused Boom = slushie/blended Now, I usually avoid cheese foam and slushie tea drinks. But Hey Tea said, "Oh no, sweetie, you just haven't had it done right." Their cheese foam is airy, perfectly sweet and salty, and just melts into the drink. And the slushies? What kind of blender you guys using? That's on Amazon? Bonus points for their seasonal drinks -- because nothing keeps me coming back faster than limited-edition FOMO. read more
My friends and I stopped by after dinner last Wednesday, and fortunately the line wasn't too long. I got my go-to order of CRISP GRAPE BOOM, and while it was still refreshing and good, it wasn't as good compared to other HeyTea locations. One of my friends got the COCONUT MANGO BOOM which was incredibly creamy with some mango chunks and sago (with 100% sugar, so you know it's gonna be sweet). And the other friend got the MANGO GRAPEFRUIT BOOM which had lots and lots of sago (with 0% sugar, so it was actually perfect for me). Overall, glad to see all the HeyTea locations spawning in the DMV. I'm looking forward to the third, fourth, and fifth location popping up within the next year? Fingers crossed. read more
This tea is very much worth the wait! We ordered the matcha cloud coconut blue, triple supreme matcha latte, and coconut mango blue. All of them are well crafted and so fresh. You can tell they use good ripe mangoes in their drinks. The triple supreme matcha is perfect for any matcha lover. Pro tip: we went on Labor Day and it was very busy. Order ahead on the app so you can keep track of your order. It took about 40 minutes to get our drinks. The estimated time on the app was wrong for us. Keep trying of the number of drink ahead of you instead for more accurate time keeping. Next time I would have ordered way ahead of time before getting to the store. read more
Hey Tea opened recently in Rockville so I decided to try it out. Luckily from all of the supposed rumors, there would be a long line to order your drink but I got lucky and was in and out in about 10-15 minutes. Walking in, it's like any other boba shop, you have a menu that displays their best sellers and other menu options you can pick from. I got the Cloud Coconut Blue, or I like to call it, the Land, Sea, and Air drink. It's very colorful and I just like how it looks. It's foamy, creamy, a bit salty but you need to shake your drink and stir it around for a more balanced taste. It's a wonderful matcha drink and I would most likely get it again. There's an app where you can scan your reciept to keep track of your order and score points for discounts, it's good if you are someone that regularly comes here. Even if you're not, ordering it online to pick it up without waiting long is also the strategy too. I like Hey Tea. The drinks and the quality are top notch compared to other places! read more
I came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was crowded at the front of people ordering and waiting for drinks but there was open seating in the back. I ordered in the app to take advantage of the new user 15% off and decided on the crisp grape boom. After ordering, it said there were 30 orders ahead of me! But they were very fast and I got my order in about 10 minutes since they have many employees. The crisp grape boom I got looks nothing like the picture on the app so I felt a bit swindled although it still tasted good. It says it's supposed to be a slushy but it was fully liquid. read more
One of my favorite places to get drinks! My go to drinks include green grape, original bobo, and jasmine tea with cheese foam. It can get really crowded so come prepared. They have an esthetically pleasing app to order ahead of time. They have some seats and tables but they have pretty low to ground. Brightly lit inside. The parking can be a little tight but you usually can get a spot easily even during peak times. read more
Wanted to wait until long line is over and glad I did. Took prob about 20 mins between standing in line (inside), placing order and receiving my drink. Decided to get what most people talk about and honestly one of the prettiest drink lol. I love mango and coconut, so yah the coconut mango boom is it! Was actually able to customize both ice and sugar level to 50%. Very clean and cute decor, customer was friendly and helpful. Plenty of them working behind the counter to make sure our drinks come out in time. The drink itself I thought was perfect as ordered. Comes with bits of real mango, coconut jelly and sago, honestly brings back childhood memories dessert. I may try going down to 30% sugar next time. And matcha is next on my lists as well! :) read more
This heytea just opened a couple of weeks ago and is pretty crowded. I had heard how popular it was and so luckily my chance finally came to try it. It's a cute little tea shop with limited seating for maybe around 15 or 20. I ordered the mango grapefruit boom. I was more curious about the yum berry but they said they ran out of it for the day. Just my luck. The mango grapefruit boom was a good slush like drink. There were also chunks of real grapefruit and mango which I absolutely love. It had a very creamy texture which was quite nice. I adjusted it to have little sweet and little ice because it was close to 10PM at that point. I'll come back to try the yumberry drink or their matcha tea! I didn't order it but they had a kale tea that's I'd love to have a sample of. It sounded so interesting but I'm a little worried I won't like the taste. read more
Probably one of the best drinks in Rockville! The moment you step inside, the smell of fresh tea hits you. I tried their location in Korea, so I was excited when I found out they opened a new spot in Rockville, and their drinks did not disappoint. Seriously, everyone needs to go here! read more
Great fresh fruit teas. Big chain popular in Asia and New York, glad we finally got a local store. No concentrated syrups yay. My favorite is the Cloud Crisp Grape, which is a fresh grape drink with a cheese foam on top. I keep the sugar level at 100% because it's still light and the fresh fruit itself isn't too sweet so it tastes perfect. The mango drink with sago is also super popular and tasty, still good with 70% sugar in it. There wasn't that much of a wait on Friday during lunch time. Will definitely be back. read more

Visited Hey Tea after hearing my friends talk about it. It's definitely a popular spot! When we arrived, it was busy for a Sunday afternoon. There was limited indoor seating and, it was cramped so standing in line was bit awkward. There is no menu on the screens which I thought was interesting. You have to grab a little paper menu in front of the register. The drinks have no description or pictures to what each are which made it hard to know what to get. Once we got to order, the cashier was not very friendly. He didn't greet us after we said hello first and we just kind of ordered and the total showed up with him not saying much of anything. Not a great first impression. The drink took a bit, but the staff was definitely working hard to get all the orders out between in store and pick up orders. The drink was okay, not my favorite honestly. But, hopeful to try it again in the future and see if there's something else I might like! read more
Recommended by a friend, I decided to try Hey Tea. The place was bustling and crowded, but the ordering process was quick and efficient. I went for the no-sugar Supreme Matcha Latte-though a bit pricey, it had a rich, delicious flavor. Next time, I'll definitely try their signature drinks, different fruit flavored Booms. Hey Tea is famous for combining high-quality tea leaves with fresh ingredients to create unique, flavorful beverages. read more

Recommend going at an off time or ordering ahead because this place is busier than a spot on Times Square I think this place's value proposition is the toppings and blended drinks. The boba and other toppings are much better than other shops in the area. We got two matcha drinks and the blended milk tea. I think the coconut jelly here is super good. That being said, I think there's other shops in the area that definitely beat this place out for tea options. Overall, definitely worth checking out if you're nearby. Staff here are working very hard to churn out all the orders read more
This is my second time and both times it is very well staffed and pretty busy. Also, the inside of the store smells strongly of jasmine tea. Its very nice. I have gotten the matcha supreme and the cloud green grape. I have been VERY satisfied both times. I wanted to grab the matcha supreme when I went today, I was worried the caffeine would keep me awake, but oooo I wanted it. The mochi and the jello were so good, the texture and taste were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the cloud green grape, not too sweet and very refreshing. read more

How do the drinks hold up overnight in the fridge?? Is there lots of separation?? Taste-wise does it change at all?…
They hold up pretty well, it won't be the best though since Hey tea is best consumed right away. Some separation not a lot though. But im only speaking for the mango grapefruit boom drink
