This was my first time at this Gong Cha location, which is inside a shared dining hall--a pretty cool concept that adds to the vibe. The space was clean, and it was definitely popping with people since I visited on a weekend. As for the promotion drink drink I got (final fantasy), it wasn't served in the marketed cup, which was a bit disappointing. Maybe I came at the very beginning or near end of the promotion... I'm not sure. The drink itself was just okay--I'd recommend sticking with the top ten options instead. Plus, since it was a promotion drink, it seemed to cost a few dollars more as well.

The Dirty Brown Creme Brûlée Milk Froth with Bobas... Amazing!

If you haven't tried it already, the Dirty Brown Creme Brûlée Milk Froth with Bobas is nothing short of amazing! The rich taste of the brown sugar has this drink so close to edging out my fav: Taro slush... This Gong Cha is located within The Spot and although it can get busy waiting in line here, drinks are usually ready within 10 minutes.

To clarify, this is the Gong-Cha located inside The Spot Food Hall! It's boba tastes decent and orders come out fast but I prefer the other Gong-Cha location off the pike personally. I've had a few orders come out wrong here and it gets a bit awkward when there's long lines. There's not much room to stand and wait so you begin lining up in front of other food stands. I really like their milk tea series and I ordered a large earl grey with boba. What I do really appreciate about Gong-cha is that even at 100% sugar level, it's never overly sweet where you taste the artificial syrups and such. I generally go for a 50% or lower (depending on the beverage).

Easy parking out front- convenient to the Hilton Hotel. You order on the screens- they're very easy to use. The prices are average for bubble tea. The bubble tea was very good. The sparkling bubble tea is amazing! It's very clean with lots of seating.

The boba here is hit or miss. I've gone here three times now and I've had perfect boba, overcooked boba, and undercooked boba. Of the three drinks I've tried, I enjoyed the brown sugar milk black tea the best (70% sugar and 70% ice). It had just the right amount of sweetness to it. Wasn't a fan of the match milk tea. Tasted way too watered down for me. I found the pearl black milk tea to be just okay. Depending on the day and time you go, it could take a couple minutes to ~10+ minutes for your order to come out. When I go to this Gong Cha location, I place my order here and then go somewhere else to order food. By the time I come back, my order is generally ready.

I'm a huge fan of their drinks, they are normally pretty consistent besides this location. I've placed my order via the app and waited a while and my order was still not called. Few people that came after me have already gotten their orders. Came to find out they never received the order on their end and caused the delay. My favorite drink is their Vietnamese coffee with milk foam, but the Vietnamese coffee didn't taste as good compare to other locations, they seem to have too much milk and not enough coffee flavor in the drink.

Nice flavors not to sugary not to plain a balance of wonderful flavors with the endless options and variety of drinks it has to offer.

I normally come to this Gongcha but lately my drinks have gotten messed up. For instance, two weeks ago I ordered a strawberry black tea latte except they didn't give me the latte part. Basically they gave me a strawberry black tea so I lost the extra $1 I paid for the latte. Then today, I got two drinks, a black milk tea with pudding jelly and a Thai tea with pudding jelly. The black tea had the correct pudding jelly and yet somehow mine ended up with rainbow jelly instead of pudding jelly. Please read the orders better. I'll be avoiding this particular location in favor of the one located down the Pike in Galvan (about a 1.5 miles away).

Mango Green Tea and Matcha Tea

Don't know if Gong Cha has gotten better, or my memory of Korea's Gong Cha has faded enough to lower my expectations. Whatever the case, the tea here seems to taste better nowadays. I recently ventured out from my usual Mango Green Tea and tried their Grapefruit Green Tea, which turned out delicious. If you've ever dipped fresh grapefruit in sugar--it tastes like that.

Finally tried gong cha and was impressed. Great menu, great execution. Up there with KFT as my favorite boba spots. I ordered a purple potato smoothie with pearls and it was delicious. Also tried a friends taro and it was even better. Will return to other locations to try the rest of the smoothies

: Matcha, ube & Oreo mochi donuts. I went to Gongcha and saw they were selling mochi donuts & I could not pass up the opportunity to try because I love mochi. Out of the three, the matcha was my favorite. The Oreo and ube was a bit too sweet for me. My first bite, it was so fluffy, airy and soft. The donut itself is pretty plain but the glaze on top is what gives it its flavor. I also tried the mango green tea milk foam slush. I rarely ever get slushy boba but wanted to try something new & this drink did not disappoint. The mango and matcha blended so well together. The milk foam did make it very sweet but I love sweet drinks. If you're looking to get some boba & mochi , definitely must check out this place.

I ordered the Taiwanese style "Popcorn chicken" and once it was done, I sat down right away to take a bite. I took three bites and it was so flavorful and all of a sudden I realized when I looked at the chicken it wasn't cooked and raw. I then thought it was just me and took two more bites of the chicken and realized some of the chicken were raw and some were cooked. I was so sad inside. I let the owners know right away and they said would you like us to make you another one. I felt uncomfortable to eat it again and said no thank you I would just like my refund. They asked me if I wanted anything else and I said no thank you. I was just sad because I wanted to really enjoy what I ordered and my stomach felt sick after knowing I ate raw chicken bites when it ate into the chicken. Sadly it was very important for me to write this review because I did get sick from what I ate and have not felt good for the rest of today till the evening. Pleaseeeeee Check your chicken before you order and see if it was done.

Loved the space: It's bright, clean, and fun. Our kid especially loved looking at all the anime art on the walls. Service is great. More attentive than your typical fast casual spot. They always have good specials too. Food is great too. Their taiwanese fried chicken and bao bei bao (gua bao) are on point and exactly the flavor I want and expect from those dishes. Their bao bei bowl (lu rou fan) is similarly great, with pork belly instead of ground pork like I've seen at some other places. Our toddler loved the fried tofu and finished the entire thing by himself. My favorites are the swirly buns. I've never found these in this area and they were a big hit with everyone - me, my husband, and toddler. The only downside is that the order is for three big buns, so its too much food for me to order if I were by myself.

It's usually packed with Asian folks who come for A&J's dim sum-style food. The food is described as "Northern style" Chinese, and it's definitely not Americanized. I've eaten many a bowl of noodles here, but my favorites are the Dan Dan Mian (with hot spicy sesame sauce and peanuts) and Xue Cai Ro Si Mian (shredded pork and mustard green noodle soup). I've also enjoyed Ma La Er Si (sliced pigs ears with hot and spicy seasoning) and Pi Dan Dou Fu (tofu with Thousand Year Egg) - things I doubt will EVER show up on a menu in my hometown. And the dumplings: oh my. I think I've tried them all, and haven't found one yet I wouldn't order again. The only downside to A&J (besides it being a drive for me) is their cash-only policy. Fortunately there are lots of nearby ATMs, but beware if it's your first visit. Prices are very reasonable and portions are perfect, so overall value is great. If you haven't been, go now, and work your way through the menu. Trust me, you'll thank me!

I have kept this place in the back of my mind, with fond memories, however, have not visited in some years due to multiple moves around the country. Recently, my friend was organizing a casual gathering for our friend group, and asked ChatGPT if there were any good recommendations for food in the area that was affordable and delicious, and A&J came up as a top choice. So I came back to A&J after almost 10 years, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The decor remained simple and unchanged, but this is very typical of Asian restaurants. The menu was large, and it's easy to order by circling items you want on the paper menu. We had a mix of noodle soup bowls (so many different flavors and styles) and appetizers, and everything we tried was delicious. Our bill came out to less than $25 per person with tip. I could imagine more pretentious Chinese restaurants downtown upcharging a lot more for lower quality Chinese food (Queen's English, for example). It was so good and affordable, that I actually ended up coming back the next day with a different friend. Overall, excellent experience, and I will be back again soon! One interesting tidbit, my coworker who grew up in the Midwest and only eats meat, potatoes, absolutely no vegetables, started going here for lunch and loves it. I think flour-based items (noodles, dumplings, buns) are really the star of the restaurant, and this can be enjoyed across different taste palates! I hope you will give this place a try.

I'm not a fan of saucy food. The noodles were fantastic. I feel like we ordered wrong, although my girlfriend picked everything except the noodles. This is not a place to visit if you're looking to lose weight. The hard sugar in the eggplant alone was more than I consume in two months. I'm probably not in the best position to rate our dinner as I avoid carbs and sugar. If I were to come back, I'd stick the noodles and revisit the menu to see if there is a solid chicken option. I came here hungry and left hungry as the food was not filling, and the sugar content sent my system into a bit of a shock. Nonetheless, if this cuisine is your thing, you won't be disappointed.
