I'm really happy to have this location in MD as I was very accustomed to having one in my home state. We've been many times and I always get the Avocado Cream Slush (I'd recommend if you like avocado smoothies) but this past time I got the mango pomelo drink, it was so good!! My bf got the strawberry cream slush and it was also so good!!! He's upping his game when it comes to boba now. If you're into boba I'd recommend trying Ben Gong's if you haven't. My daughter and I hung out for about a half hour, and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the music was really really loud and the staff was yelling over it. Unsure how I've never left review for this place! But this is definitely our go to boba place for my coworkers and I. We've tried almost all varieties from brown sugar, matcha, tea cube, tiramisu, Thai tea, yakult drinks etc. Introduced to a couple of coworkers, I am usually the pick up person, and ofc we come frequent customers. They were so nice and my tea was made right away. Let me tell you, it was packed with flavor and delicious. There were large chunks of mango and it tasted delightful. This place is good but I really miss their lychee slush. Please please bring it back! It was creamy and dreamy and had real lychee pieces and jelly. Omg it was delicious. Now the menu is basic. Not all Bengong's are created the same. ... Or, at least, the menu offerings seem to differ per branch. My son was looking forward to the lychee slush, but they did have the lychee cream slush which worked out although it was topped with cream. My other son usually just gets the mango one, but closest they had was the mango cheese slush (we just had to indicate to remove the cheese). Normally, we are flexible with these kinds of things, however, we did have to wait a while for the orders to come through because they messed up someone else's previous order so they had to do those first. But I think what irked me the most was noticing a $0.50 convenience fee attached to our bill. Now, this may not seem like much but we were not told upfront that we could pay with case (which we had) to avoid this fee. Or at least be told up front that there is a convenience fee being charged for credit card purchases. At some point, diners will get tired of all these hidden charges and surprise fees that turn up on the receipt which most people may ignore, but the fee fatigue is there. And, hope this post will at least give other customers heads up (since the establishment is not doing it), and hope this trend in the restaurant industry stops (same goes with adding tip when i am not being waited on--speaking of which, yeah, we even gave the place a tip, which I probably should have withheld). Nevertheless, I do want to see small businesses (including franchise owners) succeed, but please stop with these extra fees and forced tipping. read more

I really like the location and i think its a smart idea to have a boba tea place connected to a hotpot place. Ordering was swift and easy and there were many options. Boba is so tough and hard can't even chew, tasteless and small. The drink is not bad but not good either, very typical and not something you'd want to come purposely for. There's not much of service since they have a machine to order, but you can tell the workers are not working in a joyful state and pretty rushed and annoyed. I got called for my drink and already immediately went to grab it, but the staff has no patient and called again louder when I'm walking towards the drink. Literally 2 seconds after she called the first time... I said thank you but the staff walked away annoyed. Not sure why you'd want to tips with no service and still an attitude. This time it tastes like barely flavored water. There's no flavor. I got 70% sugar, 0 ice, large. There is no way that it is watered down due to the ice melting. There is no ice. And it's not sweet at all. Even the boba is barely sweet. Milk would taste better than this. What happened to the 70% sweet? So so disappointed. A lady before me ordered what seemed to be a matcha drink and came back asking for some sugar in a cup to add in. She said it tastes like there's no sugar and was super bitter. There are a lot of dairy items here so if you're lactose intolerant, this might not work for you. I hear that milk tea, cream slush, yakult tea, and cheese slush are the newest trend in bobas. I have to admit the thought of cheese in my Boba was a little off-putting. Since I am not a fan of cream cheese unless it's on a bagel I went with the strawberry cream tea with no sugar added and mango jelly. I really didn't need the whipped cream and sprinkles on top as these drinks are already sugar-filled. You just don't know it. I finally decided on the Japanese Matcha Cheese Slush ($7), which I don't regret getting. I liked how my slush wasn't overly sweet or bitter and was blended with just enough ice. My matcha slush was also topped with the right amount of cheese foam, which had the right sweet to salty flavor to it. I would definitely get this drink again here! I also tried some of the strawberry cream slush with boba. I thought this one was okay. Reminded me more of a strawberry milkshake. Boba was cooked well at least. Came here today, on a Sunday afternoon and it looked like they had a pretty steady stream of customers, but not packed or too busy at all. There was even an ample amount of street parking right up front. When you enter, you can use the self serve kiosk to put in your order for card payments which is convenient. However, I ordered in person because of the 15% off deal when you check in with Yelp. The employees were friendly and keeping busy fulfilling orders and refilling ingredients. I ordered my usual Mango Cheese Slush with Tea Cube topping. They have only one size here which was fine too. Loved the drink, as usual and I recommend it for first timers! This is a very refreshing drink with little clear bubbles in it. The picture looks like it advertises as it being creamy but it's not. It's more on the slushy side and has a good/strong mango flavor. You can adjust your sugar level which is great. I got 50% sugar and the drink was just a tad sweet. If you like drinks on the sweeter side, try it with 70% or 100% sugar. This is a good spot for bubble tea as it is connected to the Hot Pot place. You smell hot pot and you can quickly get bubble tea as well. I ate hot pot and looked over and said "might as well" It has a lot of unique offerings so it's really great that it can work out. I do enjoy the offerings and you can lower the sweetness level so it can be made to your liking. The ambiance of this place is great to sit and chat with others and the place is quite quiet. The location is clean and plenty of parking (as long as there is no event). I have been coming here a bit more regularly and I do enjoy this place and sitting down and just staring off into space. Found this place/location on instagram. We were in the area and wanted to try out this place since it has recently opened. It is a small location that sit-in is not allowed. When we came, there was a lot of people waiting in line, so you may need to wait outside for your order. We waited pretty long. We ordered Black Rice & Taro Milk Tea (no picture) and Orange Green Tea. Keep in mind, I only like to get fruit tea majority of the time due to my lactose-intolerance. I really loved the Black Rice & Taro Milk Tea! I would recommend for the sweet toothers to get that. I didn't mind Orange Green tea, but I like the Black Rice & Taro Milk Tea.
