I've been here twice now and had consistent and great experiences! The service is quick and they even offer an option to pay cash and you get a 5% discount. Additionally, they have accept monetary donations that allows them to give out free meals for those that need it. If someone is in hard times, they can do to the wall and grab a "coupon/ticket" for a free bagel with spread and a coffee. It's incredibly kind and generous system they have for those in need in our community! The food is SO delicious! I have gotten the Lox on an Asiago Bagel twice and they were very consistent with the lox toppings. Weekends are quite busy so expect a wait time but during the week, you can be out in and out quick. Thank you to Bagel Joy for catering a last minute play date for me! I placed my order through Door Dash and less than twenty minutes later, I had a paper bag of piping hot bagels at my door. The bagels and the staff at this shop are amazing. The place has plenty seating, nice to eat in, but I ordered to go. First, my breakfast sandwich was made with love; and if you visit this place you will see why. The staff appears to be a family of mainly women. You will see them working effortlessly at their respective task. Not rushed, but purposely. I did not see the yellow packs of Splenda so I asked the cashier. Got around to going to this place and there was a line but there was a digital kiosk. They have this cool thing where they pull a card when you buy something and if it is the same card it is free and you can collect them. I got a everything bagel with cream cheese. I feel bad to leave a 3 star review for a business that has been through so much but I do want to be honest. I was excited to come in today to try them and support their business since they are finally able to open. I do understand they are new but it was only our family and one other person in the shop at the time we went this morning around 8:40. It took a very long time to get our full order. I also ordered a muffin on the side that was not included in the pickup order. To be fair, the bagels are a generous size and they don't skimp with the cream cheese. But that's all I've got. Great bagels. Probably the best in northern Virginia. I was a huge fan of the previous tenet, Bagel Buddies, and I still miss their huge selection. However, Bagel Joy is about as close as it gets in terms of quality. I also like that they updated the decor so things feel modern. The self-serve coffee is a nice upgrade and the La Columbe coffee is a pretty solid choice. Things are very focused on the bagel experience: bagels, spreads, and bagel sandwiches are what make up the menu. This place is so great! I got the everything bagel with cream cheese and it was exactly what I expected/wanted. I also got the Avril and daaaaang, it was everything I didn't KNOW I wanted. So tasty and messy and really blew my mind. I want to try the rest of the menu but can't ever imagine passing that up haha.
