Lower East Side Bagel - A close-up of a bagel sandwich with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and possibly other ingredients, held in a person's hand inside a vehicle. The background shows a blurred sky and parts of the car's dashboard, emphasizing the focus on the bagel. The bagel appears freshly baked with a soft interior and a slightly toasted exterior.

Heard great things about this place so stopped by while we were in the area. I'm not a big bagel person, but wanted to see what people thought was a great bagel. My husband and I both ordered the Lower East Side Bagel (smoked salmon, schmear, capers and onions). We went around 1:00, and there really wasn't a line. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our order. The bagel sandwiches were conveniently wrapped in paper and sliced in half. It made it easier to eat on the go. We ate it on the way home in our car. The bagels had a nice crispy, crunchy texture on the outside and was soft and moist on the inside. I thought it had a good amount of crispiness on the outside while my husband thought it could've been a five star bagel if it was a little crispier. While the bagel sandwich was overall tasty and good, we thought it could've used some more salmon. And the salmon didn't have a lot of smoked flavor. But it had a good amount of schmear, not too much. The capers were a good addition for the needed saltiness and the onions add a nice texture. The interior had a decent amount of seating with some high top tables as well. We would stop by again next time in the area.

The image shows two screenshots of Time 4 Bagels' signage and business hours in Gainesville, VA. One screenshot features a sign with summer hours, indicating the shop is closed on Monday and Tuesday, with specific hours for other days. The second screenshot displays the storefront sign with the business name, logo, and additional information. The images are taken outdoors, with reflections and background trees visible.

I would give zero stars if I could. I took my Two year old here on a Tuesday based on their yelp hours and they were closed. It was 90 degrees and my toddler was obviously upset he wasn't allowed outside the car. They updated their google and "insta" hours but have yet to update their yelp hours. Instead of taking responsibility they were totally rude and arrogant. When they were called out for being wrong they ignored me. We have been here several times and the service is horridly slow.

The menu features sections for daily bagels, specialty bagels, spreads, and baked goods. Daily bagels are priced at $2 each, with options like plain, everything, salt, garlic & onion, sesame, za'atar, salted rosemary, and jalapeno cheddar, some with additional charges. Specialty bagels cost $2.50 and include flavors such as asiago, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chip, blueberry, and more. Spreads are listed with prices from $0.75 to $3.50, including cream cheese, specialty cream cheese, lox, hummus, avocado, peanut butter, jelly, butter, and nutella. Baked goods include muffins, crumb cake, bag of chips, and cookies, each priced between $1.85 and $3.00. The menu is printed on a dark background with white text and includes small illustrations of a cupcake and a coffee cup.

I've visited Time 4 Bagels Cafe several times now. The first two times - the lines were ridiculously long. Depending on when you arrive - there may be a long line. The first time I visited - I was in line for about 20 minutes - and gave up - as the line had barely moved. The second time I visited - it took 20 minutes to get to the register - and 19 more minutes to receive my order. I've had the Lower East Side Bagel: Smoked salmon, schmear, capers, onions & tomato; the BEC (Bacon, egg, and cheese - with extra cheese and extra bacon - no ketchup); and a SEC (Sausage, egg, and cheese - no ketchup). I've also had their cold brew. All 3 breakfast bagel Sammies I had were on a salted Rosemary Bagel - every time I have visited - there was very little choice of Bagels - as they were sold out. All of the Bagel sandwiches were tasty. The cold brew was good as well. There is only 5 small tables to eat in. When there is a long line right by the tables - it's not the best eat in experience. I hope they address Bagel output. Not much they can do about the seating. Paid with Apple Pay. #Time4BagelsCafe

Wrapping/ Packaging - A burger wrapped in paper with a newspaper print design is held in a person's left hand inside a vehicle. The wrapping partially reveals the burger's bun and a hint of filling. The background shows the dark interior of the car, including a screen or monitor. The burger is wrapped in branded paper, and the person is holding it over crumpled white and silver wrapping paper.

If you're looking for a proper bagel I cannot recommend this spot enough! I ordered a Jalapeño cheddar and there was actual jalapeño inside my bagel. The bagel was crispy and perfectly toasted. I subbed in Turkey sausage since I don't eat pork and the made sure to go above and beyond by making my order on a separate griddle and changing their gloves. My order took a little longer than others to come out but I understand it was due to my request, while I was waiting folks that got there a little before and after me had all gotten their orders. The ambiance was very pleasant but I did come a little later in the morning, not a lot of noise and some lovely christmas music playing. I will be sure to try their lattes next and stop by more often.

I've only been once but based off what I've seen I really liked it. The bagels and the sandwiches are definitely worth the prices because you can get full quickly off that alone. Definitely recommend if you want a quick breakfast sandwich.

I haven't been a few months...came back and still happy that this place is part of our community. The Asiago bagels are my absolute favorite. The cinnamon cream cheese is also my favorite and buy a tub every time. This place is by far the best bagel place on this end of the PW county. Please continue to support this place so we don't lose this gem!

You can count the salt on a salt bagel ‍

Not impressed. Someone told me about this place bragging how good it was so I went out my way to try it because I was told they had pork roll egg n cheese. As a tri-stater I was excited. Get there and the place is packed... good sign. Ask for a pork roll sandwich on a Kaiser; no kaisers, just bagels. Who the hell eats a pork roll on a bagel? Got a salt bagel n cream cheese instead. The salt bagel had almost no salt and tasted like it had rosemary on it. I did notice the salt/rosemary bagels in the case; this was not one of them but still tasted like it was. Rosemary is extremely overpowering so it should be in a separate area. The cream cheese is just that whipped stuff. Tried it, won't go back. Sadly, Manhattan bagel in Clifton is way better.

Everything bagel with egg + cheese - A bagel sandwich containing scrambled eggs and melted cheese is shown, with the bagel topped with sesame seeds. The sandwich is held in a person's left hand, with a ring visible on the ring finger. The background includes crumpled paper wrapping and a white surface, with some foil wrapping partially visible. The sandwich appears freshly made and is part of a casual meal or snack.

Great fresh bagels! I ordered the everything toasted with egg and cheese. They use a real egg that they fry up, not the spongey stuff. And they put American cheese on both sides of the bagel - bonus points for that. I will say the bagel was a bit salty for my liking. But sometimes everything bagels are that way. Nice friendly atmosphere. They have several bagel variety types and a lunch menu also.

Storefront - The image shows the storefront of Time & Bagels, a bagel shop, with glass doors and windows displaying signage. The shop's name is visible on a sign above the entrance and on the door. The windows have text promoting bagels and coffee, and the shop's hours are listed. A small tree with sparse leaves is in front of the store, partially blocking the view. A bench is positioned near the tree, and the scene is captured during daylight hours.

After checking in, we were quickly guided upstairs to a cozy, rounded booth--an intimate and perfect spot for two. Our server, Katie, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest when helping us choose between dishes. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, paired with the Black Sheep Mule and a watermelon cocktail (wish I remembered the name!). For our mains, we ordered the short rib rigatoni and the steak bulgogi bowl. To finish, we shared the weekly dessert special: an Earl Grey tres leches. Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. It was also my first time at The Black Sheep but I had always heard wonderful things - all of which turned out to be true. The loft area is beautiful and overlooks the entire restaurant. Also when you reserve the loft, which holds up to 16 people, you order off the regular menu. I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!! Note: Owner's comment wrongly accuses this user as the cops weren't called during my visit. I just left absolutely disgusted. BLUF: You know when something is so good & you're waiting for the bottom to fall out? Unfortunately, for this place moment arrived. Food: gross & nowhere near the quality that was once enjoyed. No more hot, crispy, tasty chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, wraps, or even fries. Lobster rolls? Forget them. Most expensive sandwich you'll ever pay for only to wind up regretfully unsatisfied. In 2022 the food actually seemed like fresh-cooked home recipe chicken. Now, it seems like the food is no better than mass produced previously frozen fried stuff that you get at a nearby cheap chicken chain restaurant or local gas station. The joint is a no frills aged, rather dingy chicken stand/ice cream shop. Cookies & Cream: Some ice cream flavors are tasty but not the whole selection. Freezer on fritz? Sometimes flavors are gritty (melted and refrozen?), other times chewy or gummy (old?), & other times really soft or soupy. Maybe a small upcharge for a sugar cone may be ok, but charging extra for a regular cake cone? RUINS the epitome of a traditional ice cream experience. Too much competition in the area for an easy, tasty, scoop of ice cream! Nickel & diming customers gets old fast. Did they gain recognition for their wings at the expense of everything else? Worth the drive? NOT any more. General good practice: If you're having a bad day at work, it's usually a good idea NOT to take it out on your co-workers & customers. Another one bites the dust. This "flagship" location has fallen from grace in just about every important aspect necessary to small biz survival. Very disappointing discovery. These chicken sandwiches were once dream-worthy a few years ago when they first opened. But, now, it left me feeling queasy & the sandwiches looked horrible. Mine was a gloppy, greasy, soggy mound. Barely breaded/coated chicken on a greasy bun. I could see the meat through the carelessly floured or maybe cornmealed breading. The former thick coating of crispy, crunchy crust was completely absent as if they didn't even remember to dip it in batter. A complete opposite of what their sandwiches used to look & taste like. There was an overwhelming amount of mayo (picture a very thick paste-like layer) & a sparse runny tablespoon of slaw for which you pay an extra $1.50. A slab of rubber chicken between oily, soggy bread. The rest of the chicken we received looked like it was fried in old grease for way too long. Dry, dark brown bits. Soggy, chewy fries all stuck together in a compressed mass. Soaked up way too much oil. Kitchen staff unabashedly unwilling to be helpful & unnecessarily & rudely reactive in response to requests to remedy minor errors in the order. What we received from the kitchen should never have come out of the kitchen, including the kitchen staff, ready to throw punches. The cashier was the only positive to the visit. This place is still plagued with production, operational, customer service issues & it affects consistently producing high-quality food & service when the business is slightly off balance from mildly elevated degrees of stress. Be warned--these issues seem to run deep & will yield hit or miss results in both food & service on any given day. Every day carries some risk of increased stress but busier days carry the most, of course. A well-oiled business will consistenly & professionally manage this risk & the fallout when it occurs & will continuously right itself through contant planning for inevitable mishaps & executing best practices & industry gold-standard improvements. Maybe they've bitten off more than they can chew with a second location opening soon per reports & posts. In Manassas, plenty of other great places do fried foods extremely well. No more drooling over their food. We're left nauseated by the overly greasy food and with an experience tainted by shockingly horrible service & inconsistent food quality. To experience the decline of both food & service in a place that used to bring joy is a huge letdown. I cannot with good conscience recommend this place any more. This restaurant is no longer a good "complete package" value. Much competition exists & will exist in the area of the flagship & new location. Have already experienced a few of their "off days" over the past few years. BUT if you decide to try them because you believe this review is still an outlier, or you keep going there as a loyal customer, I hope you're lucky enough to catch them on a good day so that you get better food, better service, and better reception as a guest. This restaurant (and its "concept") is no longer one of our top 5 must-haves and has been decisively and permanently removed from our rotation.
