I came in around 1 PM which was in the last hour that they close. At this time they come out with their pumpkin bagel, which is just a plain bagel with fruit coloring. However, is super aesthetic and really cute. I also got to try their honey, walnut and seasonal pumpkin cream cheese. The cream cheeses are very light compared to most other generic cream cheeses and the bagel is soft and you could tell it was fresh. This was a pretty good experience overall. While it's not the best bagel shop in the area, it gets the job done. The sausage egg and cheese bagel on everything was warm and toasted well. However, the everything bagel did not have many seeds on it. The bacon egg and cheese bagel was good except the bacon had a little too much of a smoky flavor for breakfast time. My husband picked up three lox bagels to go. When he arrived home, he found that only two of them had actual lox inside. The distance and time between was too much to go back. I decided to call and give them a chance to make it right, but when I called the number on their website, I received a message that the phone number does not exist. My go to bagel shop! A great local shop that serves quality food. Most of these negative reviews are about timeliness but they are so nice. The food is great for breakfast or lunch. The bagels are fresh and delicious. You are able to customize the bagels to your liking and with different variations. Also a great spot for lunchtime as well. I usually get an everything bagel with cream cheese for breakfast. During my most recent visit I got the Chipotle Grilled Chicken Panini. It was a hearty lunch and served hot. What we decided to do was head over to the Bobby's Bagels in North Point Village Center (Reston) about 10 mins up the road. Never been there before so we thought we would try it out. First and sadly our last time there. (Read my review.) Here's the BOTTOM LINE FOR THIS PLACE: I would still come here for the bagel breakfast sandwiches for all the positives I've mentioned in my prev reviews - BUT...anymore (or at least until I hear their service issues have improved significantly) if I pop in and see a crowd inside milling around or a long line of people at the ordering counter, IT IS SO NOT WORTH THE WAIT. The food is ok, typically good proportions; however, the wait time even when ordering ahead is at least 20+ minutes whether the place is lively or not. My wife was yelled at by staff when she went in to pick up the order that wasnt ready by the assigned online pickup time and berated in front of other customers. We have had a bad experience each time we go either sloppy food messed up orders and now this. Inside is dingy and not a great place to sit and eat. Eggs appear to be microwaved. I did not see them prepare it, so I could be wrong but they seem that way. I don't dislike microwave eggs but they are not my favorite. Doesn't matter if you go Wednesday at 11am. 2 other customers in the store and it still took over half an hour for egg and bacon bagel. Also, all 4x I went their coffee is out and you have to wait 20 min for new one. It's also one of the dirtiest restaurants I've been to. They never clean any of the tables. This is the first time we have frequented Bobby's Bagel Café (formerly "ksb"), but some of our friends have raved about them so we thought we should give it a try. Since it was a Saturday, I checked out their website to see if I could order online ahead of time to avoid some of the Saturday morning rush. Using a phone, it was not immediately apparent that you could order online. But then when you use the drop-down menu, they had an online ordering option. You select which of their locations you would like to order from, and go from there. They definitely frontload their catering and non-bagel related options, but you scroll down and look for the category of "all-day sandwiches" and find breakfast sandwiches there. First impression: expensive. A sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel was $7.50. An everything bagel with cream cheese was $4.50. It was fairly easy to use their online order system (once you found it, that is), and we had hoped it would speed up the process of pickup. Second impression: slow service, no one monitoring online orders, chaotic store pickup experience, and a real lack of customer service. The store was insanely busy. My husband couldn't see a designated pickup area, so he ended up standing on line. He got frustrated by the wait, so he left and picked up something at Giant next door. He returned 10 minutes later, and finally asked someone where he could find our online order. They asked for a name, and they said "oh we can make it now, it'll be 8 minutes or so." We had ordered 45 minutes prior! After they prepared it, they left a bag and an empty coffee cup on the counter. What was the point of selecting a coffee and what type of creamer we would like in it if you were just going to hand us an empty cup for self-serve? Then, adding insult to injury, the urn for regular brew coffee was empty. They didn't have another urn ready swap out, and he didn't want to wait 10 more minutes just for regular coffee after waiting as long as he did for a prepaid order, so he took the empty cup and went home. Third impression: our order was incorrect. I ordered an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. What I got was a sesame seed bagel untoasted with cream cheese (see photo). While I appreciate the size of the bagel and how it resembles a New York style bagel, a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese tastes like nothing. I wanted an Everything for the flavor. (I would've ordered a flavored cream cheese to jazz up a plain bagel if that's all that was available.) The fact that he was there in the store waiting for them to prepare an order they received 45 minutes prior and they didn't alert him to a bagel variety no longer available (if that was even the case and not a total mixup on their part) is inexcusable. So, in summary: ordering ahead online is not as convenient or time-saving as one would think; you will probably not get exactly what you ordered without any heads up or explanation or ability to swap out for another flavor if they ran out; you're better off brewing your own coffee at home; and you'll overpay and get half of what you actually ordered. But you will get XL New York style bagels, just perhaps not the flavor you ordered so be prepared for a surprise. Giving a second star for the latter; otherwise a one star experience. read more

This review is due to slow service unfortunately. They don't seem to have a good system to intake online orders from multiple platforms. Orders get dropped or you have to remind them to check their screens. In person orders are slow but I guess this is to be expected on Saturdays or Sundays. I rarely review but this has happened multiple times so I hope it helps them get a better system in place. read more

Even when you order online, it's almost always 10 minutes past the ready time they tell you. They are extremely slow and their coffee is out often. I've been a regular here for about a year and really enjoy their salt bagels and hazelnut coffee. They do a cute rainbow bagel for kids and my husband loves the jalapeño and cheddar one.. During COVID, I did curbside pickup and then would take my family to eat the bagels at a park on a weekly basis. I want this local bagel restaurant to be good. We need more locally run restaurants. However, it's just here. The bagels are pretty good and breakfast sandwiches are tasty. The service is mediocre based on my experiences. For instance today I came in to order and the guy behind the counter just looked down, out the window, but not at me. I thought he was waiting for someone else to help me. I didn't feel they wanted my business. It's also confusing that the name on the sign continues to be different from what I suppose is the actual name. It's "Now Bobby's Bagels" but for years the signs say KSB Cafe of New York. I just adds the feeling of a location on auto-pilot. Today I did find the dining room to be clean and plenty of bagels available even during the morning prime time. They have hands down the best bagels in the area. I'm always begging my friend to bring NY bagels when she comes for a visit, but this place is almost as good! Bagels: super thick and chewy, which I love. I hate how thin the bagels are around here. Plus, they keep really well throughout the week. Cream cheese: I can only speak for their scallion but it's so good with actual chunks of scallion. 2 thumbs way up! Sandwiches: I've had the sausage, egg, and cheese and their breakfast club. A local bagel joint that does fresh bagels for breakfast well! They make their bagels fresh and their options are affordable for how much you get - the bagel itself is a great size. I got the Avocado Spread (avocado, onion, and tomatoes) on an everything bagel and it was great. There's nothing fancy about the inside but it gets the job done and you can tell who the regulars are who stop by for their morning coffee and bagel. Will be back! read more
