Sunday 2/18/2024 I first tried these donuts back in the summer of 2021 but I don't remember it at all so that don't count. We got a dozen assorted donuts for $16.49 and I was able to try the ms sandy, porky pony, French toast, cookies n cream, and the yabba dabba doo-nut (fruity pebbles). The donuts are hot cake donuts with a smaller size than an average donut but they are were pretty good. All the donuts I had were good but my favorites were the ms Sandy donut and the porky pony donut. I would definitely recommend it and would be open to returning.
Cracks me up that when you Yelp "Sandy Point Donuts" the most popular items to order are drinks--this is not accurate! It is obviously the cake DONUTS. They do have great coffee and teas but their donuts are top-notch! They also have smoothies and acai bowls. This location is the only location that isn't at the beach, but it is the perfect craving for when you wish you were! Their hours here are quite short so make sure you get in as early as possible so you grab the flavors you want and also grab them while they are at their freshest! Be sure to ask what their seasonal/Monthly flavors are! They won't be on the board!
This was my first time visiting Sandy Pony donuts. The donuts were tasty and not overwhelming big as some donuts can be. They also serve cookie dough if you are into that. The Staff was friendly. It's not really a place to sit down and chill but to grab your donuts and go it is perfect. I would definitely return and recommend this place
This is a small shop on Solomon's Island Road in Annapolis. They have a variety of choices for you as far as toppings are concerned. Each flavor has a name associated with it (Porky Pony=glaze, cinnamon sugar and bacon). As a person who is not a big fan of cake donuts this place 100% changed my mind on how good they could be. All donuts are made to order so they will be warm. The staff is very welcoming and they allow you plenty of time to decide if you are a first timer (like I was). They also have gluten free donuts as well. As much as I loved the Porky Pony, the French Toast donut stole the show. It is a cinnamon sugar donut with maple syrup. It was absolutely delicious. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
Donuts are the best! Especially hot cake donuts! Sandy Pony Donuts has a large variety to choose from. I love the chocolate icing with rainbow sprinkles as well as the chocolate icing and chocolate chips. They make them when you order so try to eat them when they are warm, they will melt in your mouth . It's easy to eat at least 4 donuts at a time because they are so light but I advise against that. You WILL have a sugar rush (speaking from experiences). They also have smoothies (which are okay) and açaí bowls. The staff is always friendly and helpful which is always a plus.
I LOVED this place. I've had numerous coworkers and friends bring donuts to work or share individual donuts with me, but never tried them for myself. I stopped here on a rainy Saturday morning and had the best experience. Great service (the men are the Annapolis location will greet you with a huge smile), a wide variety of donuts and quick order time!
Still some of my favorite donuts. The location is in a shopping center. Nothing fancy about the location, but the donuts are just as good. GLOWS: -The donuts are so soft and fresh. They really need to be eaten then and there to get the full experience. - Soft little minis so you can get more flavors (eating 6 of these is acceptable in my opinion) - Banana coconut and surfer dude (chocolate chip) are my fave! - They have milk to wash your donuts down if you are that type. - They also have acai bowls if you would like to go a little healthier
Stopped by Sandy Pony on the way into an Annapolis day trip over Memorial Weekend. I didn't realize that all of their donuts are fresh, made-to-order with a whole menu of topping combinations. However, they also offered to mix and match whatever toppings you'd like for no additional charge. I added coconut to my salted caramel (caramel glaze and pretzels) donut while my partner chose a gluten-free Charlie Brown (peanut butter glaze and chocolate chips) - his first donut in years due to the scarcity of GF options. My donut was cakey and delicious, and the flavor combo hit the spot. The interior of the restaurant showcased the small business's journey and expansion across the Chesapeake. We took our orders to go, but there were also some seating and available restrooms. Took about ten minutes from walking in to heading out. Great way to start off the day!
Hot tasty goodness! I have loved these donuts for over 4 years! They are so warm and delicious, I am a suckered for lemon and regular glazed!
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and VERY good "cake style" donuts. Made our donut day complete!
Warm, fresh donuts that melt in your mouth!! All of the flavors are so good. They are pretty sweet though- so I can't eat too much more than 1. A great donut shop that makes different donuts than your local one!!

I got myself the açaí bowl and don't think I will get them from here again. The coconuts added really gritty textures and the syrup/ peanut butter made everything too sweet. The açaí itself arrived like frozen slushie and tasted like cough medicine. Just not my thing. For about $12 because of wanting coconuts and peanut butter, I expected better quality than this. The donuts itself were ok. Very sweet and very typical of American donuts although the owner is Asian American Chinese. Would I return again in the future? Most likely not due to everything tasting too sweet for my palate. If you're East Asian and looking for something more subtle, steer away and go to a Korean bakery. This place isn't it. read more
Im not a "donut person." They're actually one of my least favorite sweets. Buuuut, when they are served at a wedding reception, you have one ... or, ... two! The groom absolutely loves donuts and is an aficionado. These donuts were dense and amazing, plus not greasy. Truly mini cakes. I love the shoppe name too! read more

Sooo delicious! These donuts are amazing. I was originally planning to order 1 or 2 donuts but ended up getting 3 because I couldn't decide! Here's what I ordered: -Blueberry Pie: really good. Loved the hint of blueberry and wasn't too sweet. -Strawberry Stallion: great strawberry flavor. -Yabba Dabba Doo-Nut: Fruity Pebbles on a donut! Yummy and nice crunch to it. -Iced Green tea: unless you like flavorless green tea, ask for some type of sweetener. All of the donuts were so SOFT and "doughy." Please eat these hot, like as soon as you get them. You won't regret it. My only disappointment was that they don't have any donuts with filling! (I'm a raspberry-filled donut gal.) But I was pleasantly surprised with their 20+ donut options and will be back! read more
[Coronavirus review] This place has a takeout window, but they will walk your items out to your car. I paid by phone, and because their reader is nowhere near that takeout window, I handed over my unlocked phone and watched it done, which is not generally a good way of doing business but was fine in this case. They offer hot and fresh donuts with a choice of combination of glaze and toppings. I had a mint chip donut (misty mint). I have to say it was a very small donut, but the taste was excellent. The partly melted chocolate chips were a bit of a mess, but they evinced how freshly cooked it was. This place offers bubble tea as well, and the taro-based one I got delivered a smooth, mild flavor. Their flavors and the name of the shop are horse-y, which turns out to be because this business originated in Chincoteague, before establishing here on the outskirts of Annapolis (they've subsequently expanded to several locations, including back to Chincoteague). They have smoothie bowls which are vegan, otherwise the food is fairly conventional from a special diet perspective. I found it a satisfying treat. Notably, this location has much longer hours than the other local one in Deale. read more
I had to come back and update my review and give Sandy Pony the 5 stars they deserved. They're literally the BEST donut shop I've eaten at in the area...PERIOD! Warm, fresh, ooey, gooey, and just hits the spot each and every time. I haven't found any donut any the area that remotely touches them! Made to order and cake donuts...what more can a girl ask for?! Pure perfection! read more

Went to this donut shop on a Saturday afternoon there was no wait and was greeted right away. They have awesome customer service but most of all great donuts. They have so many options to choose from and the quality is amazing. I am truly impressed by these donuts. They are the perfect sweet treat. Please visit Sandy Pony Donuts if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. You cannot get better donuts anywhere in the area read more

Ok sooo if you search my other reviews you'll see where I said Laurel Tavern is the best I've ever had, hands down for donuts BUT....(sorry Laurel Tavern) Sandy Pony is sooooo good lol...a contractor bought this in to my job last week and OH EM GEE! They were still warm when he gave them to us! I looked this place up as I had never heard of them and they are made FRESH...made as you order (which explains why they were still warm). I saved some for some over people later and they were STILL soft! (Unlike DD who after a few hours tastes stale) anywho....The flavors are AMAZING! I'm not sure what he picked exactly but see the picture and compare it on their site if you want. Number 1 now Laurel Tavern is 1.5 lol read more
This is a great donut place where all their donuts are made to order, therefore they are always served warm and fresh. Their dinner menu is customizable and serve a great variety. The party pony is my favorite and it just melts in my mouth. This place is a little bit pricey for bite-size donuts, but they still satisfy a sweet tooth craving in a pinch! They also serve Boba and açaí bowls here, but I wouldn't recommend getting either here. The Boba is unsweet and the açaí bowls are very watered-down. read more

Our family enjoys the delicious donuts 1-2 times a month. Yup, it's our reward and we happily enjoy. Make sure to visit in the morning when freshly made. They are soft and size are perfect. They offer different flavors depending on the season and day. A place we highly recommend you try. read more

My mom and I stopped in here for the first time on a Wednesday in early April. The two employees greeted us. We mentioned it was out first time there. They told us they'd give us time to look at their menu. No one offered any suggestions. We decided on half a dozen donuts: Chocolate Covered Pretzel, Mud Pie (chocolate glaze, chocolate sprinkles), Charlie Brown (peanut butter glaze, mini chocolate chips), 2 Glazed (vanilla cake dipped in glaze), Chocolate glazed (vanilla cake dipped in chocolate). The order of 6 was around $9. It didn't take that long to make. The donuts are cake donuts. They were a bit on the small side, but I enjoyed them. They were delicious, hot, and very fresh. I would certainly order from them again if I'm in the area and hungry for donuts. Parking can be hectic. They're located in a small shopping strip with a popular restaurant on the end, so parking is almost always full. The parking spots are a bit tight and the area where you exit and enter can get jammed up from time to time. read more

I recently started working in the Annapolis area, not that anyone cares...and on my routine Starbucks run, I noticed this hidden gem. I been wanting to try them out but one day I went after work and they were closed. However, they're open pretty early! I ordered half a dozen donuts and they were still warm and tasted so fresh! Best donuts I've ever had! Will def be going back to the other flavors. Because of COVID-19, they take your order and ask you get back in your car. They bring you your order once it's ready. Super dope! I went at 7:45am on a Thursday and I had no people traffic issues nor did I have parking issues. Small parking area, so do be mindful of that if you go at a busier time/day. They sell bubble tea and açaí bowls. Bubble tea only comes in one size, 16 oz. They also have $1 donuts ever first Monday of the month. read more

Oh man, this place is going to get so much of our money.... Our plan was to eat one and then get home to eat the rest, but that was foiled as soon as we got to the car and tried it. We were 3 donuts deep before I realized I forgot to take a picture so I could leave a review! Cake donuts are generally smaller than a regular donut, so the obvious thing to do was to buy 6 to share between the two of us - the perfect plan. They were so incredible, and they aren't assembled until you order them so they are as fresh as possible. They come out warm, with a crispy outside and a melt-in-your-mouth, soft and cakey inside. Arguably the best donuts I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Grab a LOT of extra napkins because they should be eaten when warm, so I predict a car donut binge for everyone who stops by. read more
