Im not a "donut person." They're actually one of my least favorite sweets. Buuuut, when they are served at a wedding reception, you have one ... or, ... two! The groom absolutely loves donuts and is an aficionado. These donuts were dense and amazing, plus not greasy. Truly mini cakes. I love the shoppe name too!
Sunday 2/18/2024 I first tried these donuts back in the summer of 2021 but I don't remember it at all so that don't count. We got a dozen assorted donuts for $16.49 and I was able to try the ms sandy, porky pony, French toast, cookies n cream, and the yabba dabba doo-nut (fruity pebbles). The donuts are hot cake donuts with a smaller size than an average donut but they are were pretty good. All the donuts I had were good but my favorites were the ms Sandy donut and the porky pony donut. I would definitely recommend it and would be open to returning.
Cracks me up that when you Yelp "Sandy Point Donuts" the most popular items to order are drinks--this is not accurate! It is obviously the cake DONUTS. They do have great coffee and teas but their donuts are top-notch! They also have smoothies and acai bowls. This location is the only location that isn't at the beach, but it is the perfect craving for when you wish you were! Their hours here are quite short so make sure you get in as early as possible so you grab the flavors you want and also grab them while they are at their freshest! Be sure to ask what their seasonal/Monthly flavors are! They won't be on the board!
This was my first time visiting Sandy Pony donuts. The donuts were tasty and not overwhelming big as some donuts can be. They also serve cookie dough if you are into that. The Staff was friendly. It's not really a place to sit down and chill but to grab your donuts and go it is perfect. I would definitely return and recommend this place
This is a small shop on Solomon's Island Road in Annapolis. They have a variety of choices for you as far as toppings are concerned. Each flavor has a name associated with it (Porky Pony=glaze, cinnamon sugar and bacon). As a person who is not a big fan of cake donuts this place 100% changed my mind on how good they could be. All donuts are made to order so they will be warm. The staff is very welcoming and they allow you plenty of time to decide if you are a first timer (like I was). They also have gluten free donuts as well. As much as I loved the Porky Pony, the French Toast donut stole the show. It is a cinnamon sugar donut with maple syrup. It was absolutely delicious. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
Donuts are the best! Especially hot cake donuts! Sandy Pony Donuts has a large variety to choose from. I love the chocolate icing with rainbow sprinkles as well as the chocolate icing and chocolate chips. They make them when you order so try to eat them when they are warm, they will melt in your mouth . It's easy to eat at least 4 donuts at a time because they are so light but I advise against that. You WILL have a sugar rush (speaking from experiences). They also have smoothies (which are okay) and açaí bowls. The staff is always friendly and helpful which is always a plus.
I LOVED this place. I've had numerous coworkers and friends bring donuts to work or share individual donuts with me, but never tried them for myself. I stopped here on a rainy Saturday morning and had the best experience. Great service (the men are the Annapolis location will greet you with a huge smile), a wide variety of donuts and quick order time!
Still some of my favorite donuts. The location is in a shopping center. Nothing fancy about the location, but the donuts are just as good. GLOWS: -The donuts are so soft and fresh. They really need to be eaten then and there to get the full experience. - Soft little minis so you can get more flavors (eating 6 of these is acceptable in my opinion) - Banana coconut and surfer dude (chocolate chip) are my fave! - They have milk to wash your donuts down if you are that type. - They also have acai bowls if you would like to go a little healthier
Stopped by Sandy Pony on the way into an Annapolis day trip over Memorial Weekend. I didn't realize that all of their donuts are fresh, made-to-order with a whole menu of topping combinations. However, they also offered to mix and match whatever toppings you'd like for no additional charge. I added coconut to my salted caramel (caramel glaze and pretzels) donut while my partner chose a gluten-free Charlie Brown (peanut butter glaze and chocolate chips) - his first donut in years due to the scarcity of GF options. My donut was cakey and delicious, and the flavor combo hit the spot. The interior of the restaurant showcased the small business's journey and expansion across the Chesapeake. We took our orders to go, but there were also some seating and available restrooms. Took about ten minutes from walking in to heading out. Great way to start off the day!
Hot tasty goodness! I have loved these donuts for over 4 years! They are so warm and delicious, I am a suckered for lemon and regular glazed!
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and VERY good "cake style" donuts. Made our donut day complete!
Warm, fresh donuts that melt in your mouth!! All of the flavors are so good. They are pretty sweet though- so I can't eat too much more than 1. A great donut shop that makes different donuts than your local one!!

Look no further to find some of the best donuts ever! Or, to quote my husband (who I might add isn't the biggest donut fan), the tastiest donuts he's ever had. We did a half dozen to sample - the Porky Pony, Aww Shucks, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Stallion, Blueberry Pie & Mud Pie. They were so warm and fresh. They're like little pieces of doughy heaven. It was a challenge not to eat all of them at one sitting! Honestly, they were all equally delicious. There's no favoritism here. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and trying. They're located near the Chevy's Mexican restaurant in Annapolis. Worth the extra drive for sure. Can't wait to try their other flavors. read more
Fresh made and topped donuts! They literally fry them up as you order so it's important to know how many you'd like. For those of us who base our donut selection on appearances, they have a helpful menu with pictures posted above three register. I'm not a super big fan of saying ridiculous tongue twisters in public, so I wasn't a huge fan of saying I wanted a "yabba dabba donut" when just saying a number or something would have done the trick. As far as deep fried donuts, these were fine. Dense cake, not chewy and super hot when they gave us the box. I wouldn't go out of my way for them, but they were okay. Sandy Pony is also doing bubble tea now. I got the taro flavor and it was decent. Not blended, but the bubbles were fresh. Bottom line:My husband is pretty into these so we'll probably be back though if it was up to me I probably wouldn't go out of my way for these! read more
Late getting out this morning?? Want some fresh donuts and a good cup of coffee? Think that you missed out? Have no fear...Sandy Pony Donuts is here for you. Delicious donuts made to your order while you wait...and they are quick!! The coffee was fresh and delicious as well. You can enjoy them there or take them with you. There is something special about enjoying a hot, freshly made donut and coffee in the morning. Give this little hole in the wall a try...I'm sure you will like it... read more

Asked for a dozen glazed, half chocolate topped, half vanilla topped. This is what I actually got. Garbage read more
Only one customer in the store at a time. Order and pay and they bring out to your car when ready. Excellent, super fast service. $16 for an assorted dozen. Loved the variety and the warm goodness of these, especially the bacon topped one. Will be by the next time we are in town! read more

These donuts were featured at a local race I attended. They were so good I drove to the location, greeted the staff and raved about the donuts to them personally! These cake baked donuts are absolutely amazing! Moist and flavorful. I'm so glad I was able to munch on these delicious treat today! read more
Yummy yummy yummy! My boyfriend is in love with these donuts and he gave them a 9/10 which is saying a lot coming from him. I wasn't too fond of their chai tea, it's a little too frothy for my taste. I was IN LOVE with my surfer dude donut. This do it is my favorite if I'm in a chocolate mood and if I'm in a fruity mood I get the yabba dabba do-nut. For my donut and iced chai it was about $9 (including my $2 tip), which is a bit on the pricier side but it is totally worth it! The workers are super friendly and you can even order for pick up if you have a large order. At this location (Annapolis) parking is pretty limited considering it's in a little plaza and there are other shops. I'm in love with Sandy Pony Donuts and highly recommend anyone craving a sweet treat!!! read more
Definitely on the pricier side for donuts but they are delicious when they're hot! I got the party pony (strawberry glaze w sprinkles) and it was so yummy. It just melted in my mouth. The employees were nice and our donuts came out pretty quickly. There's room to sit inside and lots of beverages available. They also serve bubble tea and acai bowls! Overall I had a good experience. read more

This place makes your donut(s) to order. You can actually watch the whole process from start to finish. I've tried several donuts, can't remember the name of them but some of my favorite are the Oreo and the cinnamon sugar. This place is not limited to donuts, they have other treats as well. Place is always clean, staff always friendly, and they have tables if you want to sit and indulge in your goodies. read more
Unbelievable. If you're in the need of some sugar comfort, come here and let these donuts improve your day. Over 24 varieties, and they're all fun not your "run of the mill" typical selections. I'm talking donuts with fruity pebbles and bacon kind of creativity. Pro Tip; $1 donut every first Monday of the month. #BeTheOfficeHero read more

First time and I'm impressed! Definitely more cake style donuts (served HOT/FRESH). I think some flavors were bolder than others but I enjoyed them all and would go back. My top choice is definitely the blue moon! read more

Went to their spot in Deale and the ride alone made it worth it. Beautiful land, farms and houses. The shop is unassuming but the crew is very friendly, attentive and efficient. The donuts were amaze-balls!!!! I wish they had longer hours but I totally understand that that's what works for them so I'll just come back next Saturday DEFINITELY. read more
I simply had to check out this donut shop. I ordered the Seafoam donut and the mud pie donut. Donuts are made to order so keep that in mind if you happen to be in a rush and plan to treat your office mates to a couple dozen Donuts. Anyway, the Donuts are $1.50/ea and are rather on the small size when compared to a "standard" donut (i.e. Dunkin Donuts). The Donuts were simply okay. I think the Donut Shack in Pasadena or Carlson's in Annapolis are a better bet. Also, the Donuts are presented in Styrofoam "To Go" boxes which I think is unfortunate. Perhaps a nice cardboard box? read more

Oh wow! Made fresh, crazy good flavors and very affordable! This is a great place for a sweet treat! Love it! I can't wait to come back. The cow tail is my favorite. read more
Sandy pony is a random spot I ended up at when visiting Baltimore one day. I basically searched any donut spots within a certain radius and this one popped right up. It's actually the first time I had made to order donuts where you can customize them however you want. I choose two donuts that had cinnamon sugar in them and they very much reminded me of fall time cider donuts that you get at county fairs. I really appreciated how fast they make the donuts and the fact that they are super customizable. It's a really fun concept and I'm glad I got to finally experience it. Hopefully a shop like this will pop up in my area sometime In the near future. read more

I picked up 2 dozen on a Sunday for our work crew. I called ahead because some people had placed particular orders. With one guy working, he was busting it! I waited about 5 minutes when I showed up and they were all neatly boxed and labeled. The staff LOVES them! Some of the best donuts they've had. Will be a regular. read more

Delicious doughnuts! If you've had Fractured Prune this is a virtually identical experience including very similar toppings and names. Beach doughnuts less the franchise experience. There are three locations: Annapolis, Bethany and Chincoteague. Quick service and noticed after I ordered that they have açaí bowls for $8.50 which I will definitely try next time! read more

These doughnuts was absolutely amazing. It was worth the $9.30 for a half a dozen. They are made fresh, so they come out warm. I can't wait to be in the area again and get more doughnuts. They are also very patient. read more

My friend and I were looking for a place to grab dessert after stuffing ourselves with crabs, and we settled on this little donut shop. The donuts by themselves were AMAZING. Warm, fluffy and delicious. My one major note for the establishment would be to adjust their prep for the bacon bits, as the ones on my donut 1) had a less-than-pleasant metallic flavor, and 2) were more chewy than crispy. For patrons, I recommend eating your donuts as soon as possible! While the donuts themselves survive well, some of the toppings are effervescent and will essentially dissolve into each other by the time you get home. read more

HOLY BADONKADONK y'all. These donuts are like, perfection. They make them fresh and yours is made to order. I got two, sat and ate them there with some coffee, and it was... blissful. They are warm, soft inside with just a little crunch outside, and probably should have been eaten with a fork and knife (they do have those available)... But I have to admit there was some decadent perfection to licking my sweetened fingertips after I finished. I rarely go out for donuts, but I have a new go-to place when I do! I'll be honest, I kiiiinda wanna go back soon. :-P The line was loooong, as it was National Donut Day, but the staff rolled people through efficiently, while still being polite and helpful. The coffee comes from City Dock Coffee, another local business, and they have doggy donuts from Sweet Paws, another local business. I love that! The decor is cute, "retro," and there is some seating to eat there, though of course they'll make you a box to go if that is what you're wanting that day. read more
If you like warm, fresh, melt in your mouth donuts, then this is the place for you! This is what a donut should be! It reminds me of fresh donuts I used to get at a local fair when I was younger. They have a great variety to choose from with fantastic names. We tried the sea foam, sand dune, blue moon, and yabba dabba (doo)! Every donut was delicious and kept me wanting more. I love the cake-like texture of the inside and slight crunch of the outside. The inside is small, but there are a few tables/chairs to sit at. Most of the business seems to be take out. Stop in and try a warm donut (or two) -- you won't be disappointed! read more

Barnone the best donut spot in the area. The cake donuts are awesome and each flavor has a killer balance of sweetness and texture. These donuts are fried and topped to order. I appreciate the fact that the flavors are written on the inside of the box. I would gladly make another trip here even if the Krispy Kreme hot sign was on due to the quality of the donuts and stellar customer service! Shoutout to the baker who asked me it I needed utensils. The price of the donuts are reasonable and the donuts were Ford F-350 heavy on the toppings. I liked the smaller size donuts because I didn't have the itis after sampling all 6 in a setting. I usually will eat one donut (okay two donuts lol) when trying out a spot, but the donuts were so piping hot, I set in the car and indulged immediately. The porky, thin mint, banana coconut, strawberry stallion, cookies and cream, and salted caramel were all great! read more
11-3-21-I discovered Sandy Pony I think through something I was searching for!! That wasn't Food or sweets related and I saw the Porky Pony (bacon and maple donut) and fell in awwh. So I saved it on my Google as want to Go then it happened Lol, I sent it to my bff/foodie friend and we hopped in the car and went straight to Sandy's. I saw the menu and immediately saw the donut of the week was French Toast!! & that you can't get that flavor anywhere not even the Amish Market!! So of course I ordered that and the new Apple Cider with cinnamon sugar donut and as always my BFF is an impulsive buying she got a whole box of different ones!!! Including the Porky Pony.. so onto the Taste/texture FIRST THING they were soo warm and the texture was fluffy as hell but buttery soft!! silky smooth melt in your light a little airy but just right airy!! mouth goodness!!! If I wasn't on a Lifestyle Change I would've been like my friend and got a dozen!! Or half .. the taste was heavily light just the right amount of Glaze!! It's consistent with the donuts so far !! Definitely my new place for Donuts if it's a day the Amish market is closed!! And the ppl are the nice the store colors are very welcoming they have Acai'd bowls which next time I'm definitely coming to!!! Anywho thank you Sandy Pony for making my cross off list come true and be such a heavenly delicious experience!! read more

My fiancé and I went to Sandy Pony Donuts for a tasting as we will be using them for our upcoming wedding. Brea, one of the owners, was so sweet and helpful. The manager on duty was also very nice. We tried 6 different donuts and took 6 home. They were all so good. They even taste great when they aren't warm (just ate one 10 hours later) lol. Our fave was the one with bacon on it but all of them were delish! read more

I hate to be that person, and I really wanted to love these, but in my opinion, they are just okay. It seems like they're doing everything they can to copy Fractured Prune, but not doing it well enough. The donuts lack creativity (again, direct copies), I didn't see the option to customize them, and the donuts were too soft and crumbly. Nothing wrong with a moist donut, but these didn't hold together when you take a bite. They just kind of fold into themselves. I commend them for making it work, but I urge them to do more, get creative, and develop their own identity. read more
