We buy Shipley's for special occasions because they are a special treat! It's about $16 for a dozen, which is a steal for the quality. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the building is clean. I highly recommend you check out Shipley's!

Fresh hot loaded kolache with sausage, egg, cheese and jalapeño

Completely inedible. I ordered two kolaches with sausage, egg, cheese and jalapeño and they felt soggy but I figured it was just loaded. I took a bite and immediately spit it out and found that it was raw dough. I tried calling a couple times but no answer. UPDATE* I did return and the nice lady helped me get fresh and fully cooked ones this time.

I'm so glad that there is a Shipley closer to me. It's a perfect spot to get on the go kolaches, donuts, coffee, and etc. You are literally in and out of the store so there's no wait in line. Also, parking is a plus with a decent sized lot.

As a self certified doughnut, connoisseur, aficionado, sommelier , I'm always seeking out a great donut. Taste experience. While out running errands during the Labor Day weekend, I had a craving for some donuts. So of course I go to my favorite source, yelp, to see if there are any places in the area. Shipley popped up with decent reviews and was only 15 minutes away so I felt it was worth a try. It is located on the edge of a circle so it is easy to find. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon at about 4 PM and the place was empty. So I received immediate service. I selected six different donuts and they are moderately priced so it was a little over eight dollars. The service was great, so I have no complaints there. The donuts however we're not impressive. This is basically on the level of a Dunkin' Donuts. The Glades left a weird feeling in my mouth that I am trying to wash away with water. Of course, any of the filled donuts are filled with those weird flavored Latinus goo, and not real fruit jelly. Overall, not impressive if you prefer artisan donuts. However, if you feel that Dunkin' Donuts are good then you won't mind these.

What a fantastic selection they have! They look so good.

My husband and I visited this donut shop for the first time today. I have seen it every time we've been in the Odenton area, but we hadn't had the occasion to stop. I'm so glad we did! This is a very cute place. They even have outdoor seating! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and patient with me as I took a while trying to decide all the donuts I wanted in my dozen. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate glaze with sprinkles doughnut. So far I've had the Boston cream doughnut, and it was awesome as well. I can't wait to try the others. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and checking out this donut shop!

Today is the first day open to the public. A tad hectic at 0700am but the employees were handling the drive through and the walk-in customers very well. Lots of doughnut choices and just sniffing the air could give you a sugar-high. Stop in and check out this new restaurant in Anne Arundel County

I made a pit stop at Shipley Do-Nuts and noticed the staff baking donuts at 11 a.m. I personally enjoyed the maple donut and was tempted to also try an apple fritter or a kolache. The cookies and cream (Oreo), strawberry, and cherry donuts were a hit with my coworkers. The price for a dozen was reasonable, and the restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere with excellent customer service. Treat yourself!

TIP: Do walk, run to Shipley's! Amazing kolaches and fluffy donuts! When I found out Shipley's was in Maryland I was elated. If you're looking for a tasty kolache or a homemade like donut, head to Shipley's. Hours of operations: Accommodating for all including the early risers. Monday - Friday 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM Weekends 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Drive thru option in case you don't want to or can't get out of your car or have a car full of kiddos. Outdoor seating and online ordering available. ORDER * Kolaches * Ham & Cheese: Slice of rolled up ham and melted American cheese Sausage & Cheese: Sausage roll and melted American cheese Sausage & Cheese with Jalapeño: A tasty jazzed up version of the Sausage & Cheese with a kick of spice. * Donuts * Classic Glazed Donut: Typically I like variety when it comes to donuts except for Shipley's. I love their classic glazed donuts. When fresh, it's fluffy, tasty, and melts in your mouth. It reminds me of a homemade donut. * Drinks * There is a nice drink menu available. I love the iced caramel latte. Don't expect high end coffee however you'll never be disappointed with a classic cup of Joe. There's some cup swag if you're into that. The rewards program can useful; just download their app. The drive thru is convenient and there is outdoor seating if you'd like to enjoy your food there. There is a small bench inside that is along the front window to sit and enjoy your food as you look out. Customer service is great! I hope they expand, however I'm glad it's not far from me. I'd still drive the distance if it were.

New to the area and was craving something different (and not so healthy) for breakfast. The mouth feel on these donuts are cake-like and the have a nice resistance upon initial bite impact. Their different glazes and frosting are sweet but not overly saccharine, perfect pairing with a black cup of coffee. I tried the kolache this time and it was perfectly melted cheese around the sausage, bun was ample but could have had more bounce to it. Out of our half dozen I think the blueberry one was my favorite. My pup waited outside on the pavement and enjoyed watching the cars go around the traffic circle out front. She got to sample a small bit of kolache and liked it too. Service inside was quick even though drive through line was building up. We will be back!

Shipley's donut Maryland location is pretty average. Donuts are pretty cheap, just over a dollar, but they unfortunately tasted a little too dry for my taste. Got Boston creme, maple glazed and chocolate glazed - they all tasted like slightly better dunkin (less stale, but still not moist / chewy for my taste). Service was great, fast, and there were a ton of flavors. But it wasn't worth the 25 min drive from Columbia. If you live nearby and want donuts, you might like the place. But for me, it was like any other / your average donut shop.

My first visit here - they are located right by Rita's near the round about. I've heard about them from a classmate who still lives in the area. She raved about their donuts and from her post - I said that the next time I was back in the area I would visit. Parking was easy as it wasn't crowded during the time I went; I noticed that they had a drive through and tables outside for patrons to eat. They offered breakfast sandwiches, typical beverages and coffee - I didn't get any. They did have an array of donuts which made it hard to choose just one for sure. but I opted for the Devils Food Cake - which was a cake style donut filled with chocolate. I picked up an apple fritter which was quite large from the ones I'm accustomed to seeing. My mom raved how it tasted much better than DD's - which shouldn't surprise most. My boys picked the blueberry cake donut and Iced Cherry frosted yeast. Again, they had an array that if I was glutinous - I'd buy a dozen for myself. Inside was kinda small so I can imagine on a busy day how crowded and claustrophobic it could be. I noticed that they also do online ordering which I think I will do next time. Service was good - not wow or bad but amicable. I wasn't particularly "wowed" but not disappointed. Perhaps I'll try a coffee beverage to see if that will change my thoughts. Other than that, I recommend giving this establishment a try.

I tried their do-nuts for the very first time back in November of 2023. I was quite overwhelmed with all their choices! I came in around 10:30am on a Wednesday, so there was a decent selection left. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the woman's name who helped me, but she was very friendly and had a smile on her face. I opted for the half dozen box - 2 Boston cream, 2 plain glaze, 2 chocolate iced. I also ordered a salted caramel cold brew and a plain sausage kolache. The donuts were delicious. They were a decent size and fresh. The cold brew was tasty. I never had nor heard of a kolache before but I am certainly a fan now! The bread was soft and I liked the sausage. I will say that there was more bread than sausage, and they're not cheap with the lowest price being $3.29 each for the plain sausage. I'd definitely go back and try the sausage with cheese and the ham and cheese. They have a drive thru, so you don't even have to leave your car to get delicious donuts! You can also sign up for their rewards program. You get points with every purchase and you can redeem those points for certain rewards.

For croissants, I saw the ham and cheese; chocolate filled croissants, bagels, and other sweet and savory pastries. Later in the day, there appear to be more meal options, like sandwiches and such. - Quality. My matcha latte was pretty good. I asked for no sweetener, so the flavor of the latte was the simple matcha flavor, which I really liked. They warmed up my croissant, which helped, because it was soft. The croissant was not too salty and it had a nice flavor. - Service. Their staff appear to be on top of things. They're very nice and answered my questions. I did not wait very long for my order and it looked like everyone's order was handled smoothly and efficiently. - Price. The ham and cheese croissant was approximately $6 and my 20oz matcha latte was approximately $6. The balance came out to approximately $13. There are a few bar stools at a counter near the front of the shop, several tables that seat 4 people, and a couple of couches towards the back with a coffee table in between. It's a little frustrating that there aren't non-dairy options, but to each their own. Just be aware. - Quality. My ham and cheese croissant was good, but it did not have as much cheese as I was hoping. I like my baked goods to have a good amount of filling. Their ham and cheese croissant was somewhat lacking. Good flavor, but not filling, so be aware. Final Answer Am willing to come back, but perhaps not a first choice.
